morning girls, I have been out and about already and discovered a wee goldmine in one of the local op shops. they are selling fabric and curtain offcuts for a mere 20c which for the big size of some of the pieces is ridiculously cheap!!! I also scored a few more ties for the quilt so that should keep me going for a wee bit longer, cant wait for it to be over and done with now tho (im so impatient!)

well Angel has been to the vet he is now on a stronger antibiotic for 4 weeks,so there is hope for him yet :) the vet (differant from last week ) was so nice and said hes to heathy i have to bath his foot in salt water mmm thats really going to go down well with angel NOT !!!!!!!!
had a good day at work yesterday did heaps of dusting i think iv done the whole shop now :)
ok time for a cuppa and cake enjoy everyone :)

Twi thats fantastic news, yay a reprieve. someone told me years ago about putting pegs on a cats neck and they go all gooey like when their mum is carrying them around. i dont know for sure if it works i never tried it but have a google then you could soak Angels foot easy.
Holly pinch a tyre off your hubbys wagon surely it wont matter if its a different size hehe
i went to op shop this morning, nothing exciting except got Chockie Boy a battery powered bug catcher, its a gun shape with a see through viewing holder bit on the end and then another piece out from that. it works like a tiny vacuum and hes catching flys, then you can take the flys outside wow handy aye, hope he visits soon i have a few of those pesky little ones.

Shell there are a couple of big booksellers in here their prices are crazy, somehow bypass them and there are the good sellers with good prices oooh or go to the book depository uk, Jumbo started me in there haha they have really good prices and free delivery.

I have just about come to the other side of my latest sewing buzz, might have to give it a wee break after this quilt, but not before finishing off one more ufo... a party dress I started making for my girl well over a year ago. problem is its been so long ago that the dress is now too short hahaha. on the upside at the op shop today I found a big piece of broderie anglaise that had a few marks on it, managed to get the marks out and I think I will use it to make a pretty hem for the dress to give it some more length all in time for my girls birthday party in a couple of weeks.

I got rid of it as it was a sh..... to wash and took ages to dry.... and not really suitable for young children which I had at them time.

Love the hand dyed blocks holly...I have all mine in a box and haven't used any yet...but will now make sure I try to. It is so much fun though I just keep dyeing more!

Remember when snowing down south meant that your petticoat was showing...or does that just age me? Anyway I agree that it must be snowing not too far away because everything is shrivelling up with the cold!

Love the blocks holly, look forward to seeing it finished. joy what wonderful colours in your quilt, great. Good news on health front off IV's back on orals, leg looking better but lots of bruise on hands & arm from the needles. Got lovely surprize yesterday friend gave me a bag of blues & greens strips for my next quilt. Got stuck into cutting them to size & low & behold ten block are finished already. That's it back to the sewing machine & see how many I can finish today.
