Vegans don't eat anything from an animal and that includes honey. I have been having strepsils instead. They seem to do the trick. Sitting next to one of my positive lights in class. She is the best. Surround yourself with light and hopefully that light will resonate in you. I want some new winter boots but the ones I want being a Vegan are $250. I think I need to save up for those. :)

boots are a must getting good grip - so one doesnt break wrists lol = and no heel boots never go out of style so you can have them for 10 years and no one would know the difference, I am stoked as I found a handbag today which has suede and patent as my flat boots are patent and my new boots and shoes are suede this is the perfect marriage, just as well farmers where having a thirty percent off, as it was a kathy van zeeland bag, wonders if hubby should be putting it away for mothers day, probably a good idea, how about your boots being from the boys charlie girl!
congrats earth angel on new grandie lovely a new baby in the family and they smell so lovely when they are just bathed lol
good luck with the job, ones health is the most important thing in the world, if you dont have that live is not pleasant, so fingers crossed for you that you get to find the right environment.
had lunch with 5 others and what a hoot, two are sisters and are just the most wonderful people, one does patsy and the other does edna and they act like that all the time lol everything is a big laugh feeling really lifted by just being around them.

Decent winter boots are NOT cheap jcprotea.. unfortunately. I've spent the last few years making do with 'cheaper' boots.. and they just dont go the distance, so have decided to get decent ones this year. I just received an email from the company I'd ordered from saying they didnt have my size... *sobs*... But have managed to find them somewhere else, so 'fingers crossed' these people can deliver!!!!!!

well if I wore leather I could get by but I no longer wear leather etc so I have to spend more. I want the knee high ones because the are very versatile and I can't wear high arched ones.

well done on the name earthangel, lovely, jcprotea I take it its vinyl or PU boots rarther than leather? that was quick getting your boots charlie girl, they really do make a difference to keeping you warm in winter, no wonder they are so popular in colder countries.
daughter leaves canada today for her week in the sun at los cabos - fantastic looking resort, we have had the return email - YES dad I have brought suntan lotion, poor wee white girl with 4 winters up her sleeve starting to look a bit albino lol.. she gets home good friday so really looking forward to having her back - if she doesnt get a job shes talking about doing a winter season down queenstown way, at least it will be much cheaper to visit her (and a good excuse to do some south island tripping!!) about time I got off this computer and got dressed, !!!

Taylors is a really nice shoe shop Charlieb2 - have bought shoes there a couple of times - it's often easier to find things when you're on holiday and not really trying. I think duaghter may have done some damage there too - she's been staring in Mi Piaci windows and drooling for seven long years at uni and I think this year there's going to be some unashamed consumerism before she starts saving to buy into a practice and all that boring grown-up behaviour. She deserves a bit of a splash I think. But don't wish us into winter just yet please - these lovely sunny autumn days are so nice and it's going to be long hard winter for a lot of Cantabrians. Congratulations Earthangel it's lovely to hear of good things happening. I'm sure the job will turn up soon too.

Leather lookalike Boots should be cheaper and plenty around...Ezibuy stock plenty as do Dowsons and No ! Shoes.....Being Vegan doesn't have to be expensive shoewise...unless like my Vegan son you wear size 13....he lives in Canvas Sneaker types. No leather, wool etc on or near him.Its quite a commitment when you consider even your belts,wallets....all non animal products. One Xmas the Berry Flavoured Pavlova was turned down as Red food colouring made from some beetles...I learnt something that day I had never known!!

Charlie...I think it was you who read Room....Have just finished a beauty of a read...How to Stop A heart From Beating..Jackie Ballantyne.Set in South Otago '61 and written from a quirky 9yr old girls eyes....lovely read and so true of my own upbringing...the Loner with the Full on Imagination.Author is Australian and lives in Dunedin...1st novel and shades of Janet Frame style. My mums Book Group recommended it to me.Also just read The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas....contemporary and Characters not all likeable But then that can be a good thing.....Wish I could wear boots but the calves abit chunky...Imagine breaking zips whilst struggling in a shoe shop trying them on.!!! But do love a good Handbag or 2 or 3.

Congratulations on your new granddaughter Earthangel - she has a lovely name, and.. cuddles with her Nanna will be coming up asap.. she's lucky to have you as part of her life..

Counting down to Miss 20's 21st party Saturday week - she arrives home on Monday so 'I can 'wake up in my bed at home on my birthday Mum' - awww.. Mr 28 arrives home from Aussie on Thursday and is here for a week.. will be lovely to have them both here.. :-)

I've located all the boxes of photos that were in storage in our sleep-out - don't need any upper arm workout.. lifting heavy boxes to find them takes care of all that! Now to sort out the ones to display on walls, and which to use on a DVD I'm creating that includes her favourite music.. lots to do, I will get there..

Take good care everyone..

so much to do for a 21st it is such a milestone, I am sure everything will go wonderfully well, our daughters a couple of years ago was really special - think its about us parents having ädults" much like our OMG our babies are 5 and are going to school, its more like OMG our babies are leaving home!!.
woo hoo to charlies holiday its such a lovely place and I am sure the family are just in need of quiet family chill out time without the rock and roll happening. - I am not sure but assume theres a picture theatre there, you could all have a movie night one night as a suggestion.
its my FIL birthday today my step one - hes such a love, have made some home baking and got his scratchies and wine, hes coming to take me out for lunch - its always battle royal of whom pays the bill!! - I figure if its your birthday you DONT pay!!
hubby brought me flowers for no reason yesterday how luvvy is that, its our 30th coming up soon, any suggestions what I can do for the boy? he likes golf, boating, tennis, and generally being an energizer bunny lol.

morning everyone, had a lovely lunch yesterday and did more baking, sav muffins and a weetbix delux on steroids I called it, it had cranberries, oats, raisins in it as well as honey and condensed milk, if I say so myself it was fairly yummy, not as nice as my chocolate coconut slice secret is to throw a couple of handfuls of choc chips in the base with caster sugar - all very low calorie as you can tell, friend with broken ankle was thrilled to get some for her kids afternoon tea, told her the muffins wernt my best and if she wanted to weigh herself to do so before eating one of them, think if you put tomatoe in it makes them quite soggy, not one I make often.
my hayfever is getting the better of me so back into tablets as well as spray, I was much better in the colder climate, mind you any pollen was covered with snow!! lol
it was so warm yesterday I couldnt believe it am back into tshirt again today we are doing really well with the weather, hope I dont have to talk to just myself today people!!

you will be pleased with the interview, they were saying in the paper that ncea level kids in chch are missing so many points because of lost school work, very unfair wonders what they can do to change that, think they should be doing not so much holidays inbetween do not know what is being touted.
housework is calling to me in such a weak voice that I havent got off the computer yet lol, friend coming for a walk so would like to get it done before then, gave the house a real clean last week so assume can flick it this lol

mm my green pepper relish tastes divine! Made a nice mini feast for my two closest friends to say thank you for being such positive lights in my life. Made a chicken stir fry with chilli and garlic and a batch of banana and smarties muffins. Well ok they were pebbles. One has an accounting exam on a Saturday?! poor guy. Food went down well and was well appreciated. They both told me later on away from each other, how each one said I was amazing. Man it is nice to feel appreciated.

Your green pepper relish jcprotea...care to share?

Ingredients

6 sweet red peppers

2 medium onions, quartered

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup vinegar

1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Directions
Remove stems and seeds from red peppers.
Using coarse blade of food chopper, grind peppers and onions, reserving juices.
In Dutch oven or large saucepan combine peppers and onions and reserved juices.
Stir in sugar, vinegar, and salt.
Bring to boiling; boil gently, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool; cover and chill till needed.

i have used red peppers with one orange and yellow (you have to be resourceful). It can work with green as well but they are more of an acquired taste.
