2751 | Sounds like exciting times earthangel4, we will have been married 23 years this year... don't feel old enough to be married that long... I'm 46 this year so its exactly half my life... But very content :) Life continues to be busy and hopefully the changes at work will be sorted soon... we are interviewing at present & I want everyone sending out good choosing vibes for a Toadie compatible work colleague... as I will have to work closely with them... Can't wait for the load to be shared. toadfish - 2011-03-24 07:02:00 |

2754 | sounds like it was all the right timing earthangel, having time on your own makes you know whom you are as a person, like the house toady, nice piece of land, and a 80s house was probably better built than a 90/00s with all the leaky problems etc. we have friends on mystery creek road and he sells his hay they come and cut it and take it away and pays for the rates every year, they also are next to a gate so they get income on the field days amazing how you can get passive income sometimes.!! I am sure you will make that happen. my hubby and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary early may, we married when I was 18 and we had 7 years before kids, and he has turned out to be the best father I know he is awsome with our kids has so much time for them and takes them on many adventures, cool when that happens. have a lovely day everyone auckland_ali - 2011-03-24 08:22:00 |
2755 | Things have been a bit of a struggle here lately . Have been sick for ten days, & in hospital for 2. I have been to the doctor 5 times in 10 days . Must have shares in the place!! They still don't know what's wrong, Awaiting blood tests results. Short of breath, I can't walk far without getting breathless. Toady, the house looked lovely. Beautiful sunny day here. Have a great day. 510 - 2011-03-24 09:10:00 |

2761 | Ali, nice to have you back. Were the shops up to expectation? Married at 18-that was very young for your age group, were there doom and gloomers around? Toadie, will be good to see you in Wgtn. I thought we were going to have a big meet in ChCh sometime, but truth to tell, I would be to stressed at the thought of earthquakes to relax and enjoy it,and I live in WGTN! Good to think of you in your little space Winnie. marywea - 2011-03-24 15:25:00 |
2762 | wish I could go to a meetup but no money to travel and with kids at school and me at uni, no chance. I will be there in spirit. Need to make some money so I have to get listing. Also look for odd jobs I can do around the place that fit in with uni. Lots to do over the next few days. Assignments and research to do. jcprotea - 2011-03-24 16:39:00 |
2763 | Ann hope you are feeling better, not nice that you have ended up in hospital again, thats a couple of times in the last six months. Mary I was telling my kids the other day that when hubby and I were "going steady" our conversations with our peers was if america and russia were going to drop bombs on each other - we now have terriorists and P. but yes we had the childhood sweethearts they dont last the distance, what a question on shopping lol another 2 pairs of shoes lol and 10.3 kgs of scrapbooking (I weighed it when I got home!!) it was the mad dash from san fran airport to the two major craft stores that america has, did another 2 in canada so one very contented scrapbooker. what sort of work are you after jb? auckland_ali - 2011-03-24 23:04:00 |

Huge hugs for you.. and hoping that the cause is found and you're well again very soon.. My thoughts are with you all there in Canterbury.. I hope some progress is happening with your homes and properties.. keep safe there.. x Home again after being away.. Santana's concert was amazing.. had a lovely time away, including going to the Outrageous Fortune exhibition at the Auckland Museum.. a lot of fun, the whole thing is set up as it was on the show. A sign included that the whole set had to be taken down to minus 30°C to ensure all bugs were eliminated.. 'and that doesn't include Grandpa!' At one stage, Jenni saw a Great South Road sign and wondered how long it would take to drive the full length.. next day I found out where the road started, found the beginning (in Newmarket) and began a stop and start leisurely drive down the length of the road.. purchased plums at a road-side shop near the end, where the young man there said 'I've always wanted to do that too!' One month till Jenni's 21st.. planning and organising well under way.. she now knows her big brother will be here from Brisbane.. she doesn't know friends from Dunedin and Auckland and family from Carterton will be here.. they're among several surprises for her.. amazing to think she's almost 21. Take good care Everyone.. juliewn - 2011-03-24 23:40:00 |

sounds so much like how I ultimately want to be pretty self sufficient. I am getting the book dropped off to me. YAY! Now to be a a domesticated goddess and go clean up my dining room etc. I like helping people but when you don't have what you need to do the job, it makes it frustrating. My husband helps people too in his job, he works in IT. I know it can drive him mental at times. jcprotea - 2011-03-25 15:43:00 |

2787 | Finally all booked for a few days in Nelson and... I booked my bike to go on the bus too. I'm so excited, I'm taking some bathbombs so I can have a loooong soak and may even get a massage if I can make the money stretch. Now I have given myself the deadline of next Friday to have my kitchen and front room all picked up = nothing like an incentive. Elliehen - I hope your 'bluedome' days continus for another couple of weeks. A friend is taking the bike and me to the bus stop as Cosmic shuttles travelling north leave from Northlands now. The other good thing that happened was that I got an Alexander M'cCall Smith book free (combination of a 25% discount and a Christmas voucher). I'm saving it to take with me as I always find him uplifting. I also managed to contact my insurance company today AMI and told them I was putting in a claim, but don't be in any hurry as I want to sort EQC first (AMI will only be needed for cracks in driveway, fence and concrete laid around the back, so it's not urgent). I picked up a new shower too which the plumber who fixes my cold water flow to the shower will install, it will be mice to have an operational shower again. Thank heavens the receptionist at the plumbers was thinking clearly because I wasn't. I actually think I'm getting more muddle=headed than I was at first rather than less - which is why I hope a break will help. One of my fave cafes opened yesterday too. A tiny step towards recovery. calista - 2011-03-25 21:13:00 |

I got compliments from my friend that my pilau was delicious and he is quite picky about what he eats. it can't be fatty or sweet as he is a gym bunny! I have a saying my love of cooking is not fueled by the action but the reaction. I am not a cake baker though. That is a bit of my Achilles heel in cooking. The weather is a bit blah up here so I am off to do some housework and do some study. I think later on muffins, bagels prep and making some bread are in order. I write a list of what I want to do in the weekend, odd but I like to be partially organised. Edited by jcprotea at 9:17 am, Sat 26 Mar jcprotea - 2011-03-26 09:14:00 |

Never a truer word spoken. Food is something no matter plain or otherwise is made with love and is used to comfort and nourish us at the same time. I always wanted a restaurant called "Top Nosh" (Top Notch). Love the word Nosh, comes from Yiddish. Have to make falafel over the weekend. That should be fun. I will make a relish and hummus to go with it. jcprotea - 2011-03-26 15:12:00 |
