If the other 'forum place' is not attached to an auction site, surely it can be mentioned. If it is criticism of this site then so be it.

On the other hand if these cryptic message are meant for other obvious enlightened members - have a good day.

We seem to be having the problem of the posts disappearing if it is posted ... although I think there is one link to it still around ... so I will apologize for the cryptics

No need for apologies 'bdreid10' and am all for foul-mouthed and personal attack-posts to be deleted.

As this is a community forum, communication should be between members as it is attached to an auction site.
Criticism should be directed at TradeMe direct from the member as it would otherwise be construed as bad gossip.

Hi 'bdreid'
There is also 'PERFOmaster' with which you can check perf via the programme on the net.

Google and you just need to practise. Perhaps it could work for you.

Is this the one who has ripped off heaps of people under 3 other user names and now supposedly fled the country. TM should respond to your complaint within 12-24 hours. Try phoning them. It may be worth it to get an immediate answer.

Yes they are.
I would advise you to let your fingers do the walking ,Yellow pages,Google etc and get qualified input from a local Stamp Club/Society or from Stamp Dealers.

Don't expect too much as Trademe and the Police have been warned about the above mentioned numerous times in the last 6 months and have done nothing. It is too late now kiss your money and stamps goodbye.I have gleamed this information mainly from Scambusters and the local Philatelic grapevine in Christchurch and stand to be corrected.I also believe that the NZSDA had a warning about him circulated to its members some months ago perhaps a Dealer could confirm?

I cut and pasted this from the Scambusters Site.It may be of help?

Anyone Scammed by the German fraudster via the Dr.Card TM account can contact David Bedenknecht through his following website:

www.nzdirectory.co.nz

The account is registered to David Bedenknecht and under TM's TOS & T&C, he is primarily responsible for all use of his TM account whether by himself personally or in his Fraudster Father having use of it

Gosh, just as well some people are on to it. I could of been one of those unfortunate buyers ripped off had it not been for TMG.

I feel sorry for ANY trader caught in a scam and that fact that TM have been aware and this has still happened is horrid.

I am an overall collector .... but anything with a train on it is a bonus as I am nutty about trains, unfortunately I have just been made redundant (found out last thursday), but going for a job interview tomorrow (quick and the dead ... first in first served) so budget tight at the moment.

Actually make that transport ... nutty over cars too.

Hi Donaldo,

If you NEED to sell your lifetime colletion the choice can be quick and painless - auction house or sell cheap on an internet auction.
I guess you still want a 'your fair price' though, for what you have to offer.

Well described Country collections, total catalogue value at an interesting price may be a catcher.

I have a 1996 s/a 40c Lake Wakatipu perf 10, how do I tell if it is Phosphorised paper?

The white on the stamp is a slightly off white colour where the other stamps in the set that I have the white is a definate white. Is this the difference?

Hi 'bdreid10'

You do have a UV lamp !

Phosphorised surfaced paper shows up bright yellow to low yellow pigmentation. The key here is yellow.

Anything else that shows 'lit-up' in different grades, is styled fluorescent paper as per manufacturer.
The fluorescents may alter or transfer when used copies are washed.

Plain paper would show up darkish grey under a UV lamp.

Ok here is a curly one ... I have in my hot little hands from the library a SG 2008 cat A - C, look at the Cameroun section it finishes in 1995 ... but this is a 2008 catalogue, same goes for the SG website - no stamps listed after 1995, even when it changed to Cameroon which is the same place as far as I know and I have two 1996 Republic of Cameroon stamps, one is olympic games issue 125f and one is some government conference 410f. Anyone know if these might be catalogued somewhere else?

Hi -bdrei10-

In Michel they are #1219 and 1224.
What normally happens is that the Country in question does not forward their issued stamp details to the catalogue editors.
In the past some Countries may have been boycotted like Rhodesia was and detail is withheld from print.

philafarinz - 2010-03-14 21:24:00

Sometimes the issues of a certain Country is disbelieved by Cat. editors of ever been issued and thus price is omitted in the catalogue, happens in Scott.

CAL or Stamp issue?
NZ Post has issued two booklets, a $5 (containing 10 x 50c) and $10.80 (containing 6 x $1.80) all 16 stamps have different views and are self adhesive. They have NZ Post details on both booklets. Is this a CAL issue or Tourism issue similar to Wildfoods issue? Interested to know the story behind the stamps. Gary.
