Elliehen, I've seen travel albums similar, slightly larger than A5, and depending on length of trip, 12-24 pages long, with one stunning photo per page.

Winnie, hubby and I were lucky enough to see Norah Jones live a few years ago, she was fantastic. Quite a small concert and chatting between songs, quite familiar and entertaining.

Julie, we are just starting to really get the benefit of our garden as I was so late in putting it in. (New Year) ... but we are now enjoying peas, beans, zucchini, lettuce (of course!), and spinach .. only 2 tomatoes so far, but loads of green ones. Our orchard is producing passionfruit (beautiful this year), and a bumper crop of pears. Peaches not as abundant as last year ...

Sleep well all x

Good night or good morning.
I'm off up to Golden Bay today - YAY!!!
Not looking forward to the drive but I am looking forward to getting there! Need to pack next then I'll go to bed knowing I can just get up & start driving. Want to be on the road by lunchtime so I'd better get moving! Working till 1am doesn't help though!!

Good morning everyone,
so this is what 8.30 in the morning looks like? I haven't seen it in a while lol!
There's some noisy neighbours here in Bainham - a family of wekas living in the garden! Nice to hear though after the hustle & bustle of central Chch :)
Going to go catch up with some friends today ... and then the hair!
Have a nice day all.

Morning all. Look what from Venerdi for making a suggestion about the packaging. I suggested a zip lock type packet but they said they had trialled it and the packaging ended up compromise. I can see the point, just I hate having to put stuff in zip lock bag or Tupperware container.

I can't have the baps as they have egg in them but not bad for stuff $15 worth of product. Great customer service.

Thanks for your suggestion about the photo book Elliehen..

All going well for the party.. have made the tomato relish and tomato sauce - that recipe turned out amazing with the spices I added.. almost pleased I couldn't find my tried and true recipe! I made some antipasto pickles tonight.. with these, three goodies are now organised for the party.. plus bottled beetroot from my garden, so that's done too.. planted more beetroot tonight, plus several kinds of lettuce, and broccoli and red cabbage - and have onions and leeks ready to plant tomorrow..

Have the best time with your Miss Winnie Rae.. precious time..

In my teens/early 20s I hair always promised myself purple but I never got round to it (sigh) She looks good.

After all the ginger muffins discoveries of a couple of weeks ago I found a ginger and lime loaf recipe - and went looking for limes. They are $30 a kilo here!!! so I'm not sure I'll make it - still I might price 2, which is all I reckon I'll need. Not really in the mood for adventurous cooking though, it's still too hot so I went outside and cleaned my bike instead.

On Sunday I went to a Spokes (local cycle group) workshop. They were offering some free bikes, (which some of the members had renovated) helping
people fix their bikes, pump up their tyres, fix punctures etc. I helped a woman clean her old bike and oil the chain, while someone else was fitting a new tyre, then came home and did the same to my older bike (I hadn't been sure how to do it, so it was a good learning opportunity for me). Next I'm going to learn to take off wheels and put them back on safely in case I want to take it up north. I've been told it's not hard. Fingers crossed.

That might be the answer to the question of how to go grey (well white) after years of hair dying! Blue/purple first. Not sure that I could carry it off these days though - might just look like what used to be called the blue rinse brigade. And I'm not sure that I fancy Titewhai as a role model.

Trouble is Elliehen that original colour (not seen for 20+years) was very dark brown and I am now white so I think I'd look more magpie than autumnal.. Also I think I would suddenly look like a little old lady which might give kids a wake-up call but might not be the best at work. Told Miss 25 not to start dyeing hers so she wasn't faced with this dilemma but she just snorted "with these greys - you're kidding" - and went off for her foils.. My family's genes are not appreciated with respect to hair colour. Two out of three kids have quite a lot of grey at 22 and 25. The third is fine and does tend to rub it in.

Hi Earthangel ...pleased you sound well and active, don't overdo anything. My standard Roses were $39.95 approx from memory. You usually have to wait and order them as not many around this time of year down here in the South anyway. Are they to be all the same or mixed ?, I have just recently planted three white Icebergs with buxus underneath to make a nice square block of hedge.Lavender also would be nice planted similar. Do you know Aotearoa New Zealand ? Shes a lovely healthy pale pink with beautiful perfume...alot of Flower arranger types grow 3 or so of her thats how I was introduced to her beauty. Also grown as a bush rose.

No do,nt know Aotearoa nz,but have written the name down as I love beautiful perfume,I also thought about planting a Daphine plant by the front door, but will have to watch the frosts.

Daphne grows well in Canterbury EA and I haven't had any trouble with frosts so should be fine in shelter of house by the door. I usually have a boronia in a pot by the door in the spring for the perfume but I don't usually manage to keep the same one for more than a season or two.
