Kia ora girls. Just home after minding my 2 teenage grandchildren. Flat out yesterday as we went to watch my other granddaughter playing softball. This is the soccer nut girl. There were quite a crowd of us. Then we all went to my daughters and had a pot luck lunch which was really enjoyable. I played with my two youngest grandchildren while the others served up lunch. Thats the nice thing about whanau meals. Grandparents always get to mind and play with the young ones. I love it. Today I had to wrench the teenagers out of bed and I really mean that. Trying to get them to clean their bedrooms was nigh on impossible.

Only one more day of our long weekend! Got the shirt done on FRiday morning before work. Very pleased with it. PIcked up 2 grandsons from preschool and their father (my son) from a course he is doing and shouted fish 'n' chips for tea FRiday. Helped same son in his garden for 4 hours on Saturday and had his youngest overnight. Had friends over for tea Sunday night and now just had a phone call to have same grandson again this avo. What was that about saying 'no'? It's a joke, don't know when I'll do it. I put my own veges in the garden yesterday and was hoping to do some cross-stitch this afternoon but not with 2 year old hands trying to help. Have finished knitting a hooded jacket for the shop.

Busy weekend for you grizzly girl. I went over to do shopping for my sick son and ended up having a clean up with him. I enjoyed cleaning with him. It seems I taught him well ha ha. I returned home to a nice roast meal my daughter cooked. Yum. I did knit Missy a little cardi yesterday. She is growing so fast now. I have started another one. Have not even looked in the garden this weekend. Tradiotionally Labour weekend has always beem a gardening bonanza for me but not this year. Sigh.

One more day and my SIL is home again. Yahhhhhh. Off to Rotorua on Thursday. I have meetings on Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tues, Thursday and then the following Saturday. Oh I am supposed to be having a Holiday with my Mum. The Sat ones are great. Maori Land Meetings that I am a shareholder in. I get to see all my whanau and I also get to question decision making by our Trustees. I love it. The Trustees may not look forward to these meetings but we do. Lol.

The rest of the meetings are not so enjoyable and pretty darn stressful but I am getting prepared for those now. Just finished a 2hr report. Mum and I have some things planned and by hook or by crook we will be doing them regardless of other things. Little miss told me she was sad when I picked her up after I had put her in time out for 1 minute. She was so naughty. She is such a little actress. Screamed when I put her in her cot, rattled the cot and told me I was a naughty Nana. Big crocodile tears. I stood in the hallway and counted to 60 secs as fast as I could and then went in to get her out. A minute later she was tearing up the hallway pushing her tonka truck with her dolls in it. Lol My SIL will be running all over the place after her. Ha ha.

Yes, I like the rose, too, very clever. It'll be fun using that on my cellphone, txting people. I had a pleasant day at my desk yesterday doing routine bookwork. Very peaceful until I had to pick up the kids from our closed programme and transport them! Oh, the noise and I only had 3 in my car, the other ten were in the taxi van. Once they make up the 30 for the programme I very firmly shut my door on them all. Hehe. Makerealbany I get told off by Mr 2 all the time these days. "No" with a sulky look is his favourite but he doesn't do it as much with me as he does with his parents, thank goodness. Just a stage they go through, eh?

Hi Ladies ... today the sun is shining and I feel invigorated. What a pity I have to work :) ... Loved the Andre Rieu concert and the two days shopping in Auckland. Didn't get beyond Queen St though so didnt find any craft shops. I have now almost finished one quilt top and am reasonably happy with it. Christmas is coming up so fast and I have two quilts to finish by then.

I have to drop off cheques for Playgroup shopping early so hope to get away before lunch. Maybe. My daughter put the pump on from the bottom water tank to pump up water to the top tank and forgot it. I was trying to iron and she yelled out. Wriggly wet baby in arms. She saw it overflowing so I had to run the bath, turn on all the taps for a bit. Then unlock the shed, get the ladder out, climb up the tank and check the pipes. B---dy hell what a performance.

I emailed my documents to myself so that if I have to amend anything I can. I just worked out that I could do that. Dah!!! Do not know why I had not done it before. Someone bought a cushion from on TM and I posted it last Thursday but it hasn't arrived yet. Trying to tell buyer that a public holiday makes a huge difference in postal times. I have the trackntrace number if it doesn't arrive by tomorrow.

Oh you lucky girls meeting for coffee! I stayed home with a cold and did cross stitch.Went to the Michael Jackson movie on Thursday night. Absolutely wonderful!!! Had a lovely weekend, I hope you ladies did too! Family all together Saturday so as hectic as usual. But Sunday was lovely. Hubby went to a bike gathering in town so I went browsing in Ballantynes which is a shop I don't go into much being in the centre of town. Oooh I wish I had the money to buy the beautiful things I saw. Things you would never find in a shopping mall. It was wonderful browsing in amongst it all. Then I came and did book work for the shop which I enjoy when I'm not scrambling to squeeze it in between other things I have to do. I have been knitting dolls clothes this week for a change.

Hiya. Lunchtime yesterday we had 5.5 cubic metres of soil and compost delivered. We spent the rest of the day barrowing it across the back yard into our raised boxes. We filled 2 vege gardens that are 1.5 feet high, 5 x 8 feet, and 2 smaller ones (1foot high x 2 x 8). 2 more of those to do over the week plus a 6 inch high one. Man, am I sore!

Got all of the work done in Rotorua and I am not doing any more for at lest a month. Ha ha. I played Mini Golf a few times with groups and we had a ball as well. Hi girls. Spent yesterday running around and have decided today is a lazy day. I have cleaned up the cottage. Watered my plants, swept the paths, fed and exercised the dogs and am now going to plant some seeds. Was going to spray some weeds but far too windy. The garden has grown so much in just a week!!!!! The sun has just popped out so hopefully it will be a nice day. Did not even know there was a craft Warehouse there bll. There is a Spotlight, a bead shop and several crafty shops though. Never mind next time. lol.

Raining and cold today. Good day to work in the office or stay home and do craft if I had the choice. Finished a dolls outfit and some baby bits 'n' pieces for the shop over the weekend and did some more of my cross stitch, even finished my book despite having grandchildren here both days. All in all a great weekend!

Its on Hinemoa St, just down from the Westpac by City Focus. Bead Me Up is the front part of the shop. I used to go and spend hours there, painting ceramics and rummaging. They have a Christmas shop upstairs about now too.

Raining here too, darnit! Spent most of yesterday shopping for plant and planting, but I stopped when I couldn't see the holes to put the lettuces in 'cos it got dark! Still got half a doz punnets to plant out.

Well I did not know that bll. Duh. Shows you how much time I have when I am there. Lol. Tried to do some internet banking and I could not get on. Drat it all. Planted some seeds yesterday and then went to see daughter up at Orewa for tea. Came home and SIL and our lovely neighbour were still concreting the posts into the ground for our massive fence. It was dark so silly me goes over to check on the work and then had to stay for another hour with my torch so that they could see what they were doing. They had the truck lights on but it was hard to see inside the cement mixer when they were mixing the sand and cement. They really slogged away those boys.
