| just set fire to my weetbix slice :-( also do you chill the gingerbread before rolling out? I had to add extra egg to our gingerbread mix, but then i'd given it to the kids to knead and roll out! justshopin - 2006-10-28 15:26:00 |

| Brianmac, For your Coconut Slice, you mentioned the Topping. You didn't give the amount of eggs, sugar and coconut to use for it? Can you please clarify this for me? Many thanks. jen92 - 2006-11-22 14:22:00 |
| brianmac see above. Also, can someone tell me how long these threads stay on the message board for. I noticed that the recipes go back to the 20th November (for the oldest one) so thought it must have been a week, but when I checked out the "General" messages, the oldest one there only went back to about the 23rd. noluck4 - 2006-11-27 12:55:00 |
| 168!! They will stay indefinitly if someone keeps bumping them to the top, if not they disappear. maitredee - 2006-11-27 15:28:00 |
| Okey, dokey But if nothing gets added to them, do they get removed after a week? noluck4 - 2006-11-28 13:26:00 |
| No... some have heaps of bumps to keep them...lol maitredee - 2006-11-28 14:56:00 |
| No! No! No! If they don't get 'bumped' or have anything 'added to them' how long do they stay on for. I don't want to 'bump' if it is not necessary....BUT.....I have noticed that recipes go back a whole week if they haven't been 'bumped' or 'added to'.....BUT.....in the "General" thread they only go back 3 or 4 days. I would hate to miss out on a recipe I wanted because I haven't bumped & the thread disappears before I realise. noluck4 - 2006-11-28 17:46:00 |
| The threads don't get removed here - they simply slide down the list until if they are the last thread on page 5 and don't get bumped or added to - they dissapear into cybervoid! winnie231 - 2006-11-28 17:55:00 |
| Great Recipes Well done i luv reading other peoples recipes and trying new ones. cheers gabbychick - 2006-11-28 19:47:00 |

| Chocolate Caramel Slice.. I've posted this in the baking thread also.. It's so good and so easy though, so will add it here.. Soften 150gms butter and stir in 3/4 cup brown sugar. Sift 2 (two) cups flour and 1 (one) tsp baking powder and add to the butter mix. Mix well. Press into a microwave slice dish. Elevate and microwave on high for 5 1/2 minutes, or till mix looks dry in the centre from the underside of the dish. Set aside. In a large bowl or jug, combine 50gms butter, 1 tablespoon golden syrup and 1 400gm tin sweetened condensed milk. Zap on high for 3 1/2 minutes, stirring twice during cooking, or till thicker and starting to change colour. Spread evenly over the base. Elevate and microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes or till caramel bubbles. Ice with chocolate icing once cool and cut into squares or bars. This is just delicious.. and so easy. We've also added some lemon juice to the caramel mix sometimes for a lemon flavour, and topped it with lemon icing.. this is very good too.. Enjoy.. Cheers.. Julie juliewn - 2006-12-01 21:52:00 |

Pour into greased tin. Mark out into small squares and cut when set. Vanilla and nuts may be added if desired. Enjoy.. juliewn - 2006-12-01 21:56:00 |
