Dodgy Stamp and Coin Auction? Scrapper spotted this one and I thought I would pass it on.Looks like a shill bidder on the coin Auction as well.Don did the inverted stamp come in a Presentation pack? Here is Scrappers Email:-----
Anyway the reason for this e-mail is that our Wanganui “Friend” may have started up again. Take a look at auctions 131944695 and 132766224. Both listed by Angeldust7, no trades yet, and from Wanganui. And they have invert Olympic stamps for sale!

MANUSCRIPT CANCELS ? danaldo, just noticed you Auction Number: 131945769 and thought I would ask you to explain how one can distinguish between a manuscript cancel and a fiscal cancel? What are the characteristics of a manuscript cancel? Thanks for that! Regards.

I have a large bulky NZ collection no longer afford the time required to actively enjoy my collection and I am going to begin separating and selling it :( Perhaps of interest to some? I have a lot of pre-decimal health blocks and definitive plate blocks from late 80's through to mid 90's. Stockbooks, FDCs, a full sheet of circular kiwis, numerous publications, old philatelic bureau booklets. Full set of limited editions, full set of year books, mixture of booklets and collectors packs. All from my own and my grandfather's collections. Anyone interested can contact me via username at the extra place. Happy to send through itinerary for specific areas of interest. Will be auctioning everything in due course.

I've located an unused Five Shillings Green Fiscal. The only fault I can see if that a pin has been put through the N. Would this stamp be worth anything? The back looks just klike paper i.e no gum. Sorry I am not clued up on stamps so my terminology is not too flash.

Can anyone help I have been clearing out my parents house and come across an interesting looking NZ stamp. It shows a large slab (looks like a half ton) of butter being manually removed from a wooden butter churn. It is a 2 and 6 penny value, and brown, yellow and white. Can anyone shed some light on it or guide me as to where I can get some info on it please?

Is it just me...or does Family Xmas seem to bring out all the relatives childhood stamp albums to be looked at with high expectations of value "because the stamps are old" ??

Albums I saw had been stored on their side, under other books,so many stamps were stuck to the pages.

Please store ya albums UPRIGHT guys.

How's Patrick the Possum doing donaldo ? Hope he didn't cause too much havoc trapped inside.

189 Oh well Possum Pie by now I guess.

I see that NZSDA (NZ Stamp Dealers Assn) have listed the dates of some up coming stamp shows for 2008.

24-25th May in Lower Hutt....
28-29th June in Christchurch .... 8-9th August (provisional date) for Remuera,Auckland ....
and the 7-9th November for Tarapex in New Plymouth.

There are probably many other stamp events on in 2008 but it is sometimes hard to find out...
What,When, and Where on a NZ wide basis.

They must get a reasonable attendance to these shows...anyone been to one ? comments.....

coil leaders and early Pete's post 1. I have been really searching for some NZ KG6 coil leaders. Alas nobody seems to have them. Aparently they are not a popular item etc
2. I'm also searching for envelopes from the pre-stamp period around new Plymouth. Again nobody has them and even less people are looking for them
Can any one help
Tony

Hi warm I have seen a pair of KGV1 1d attached to a lead in strip of four leader bits.Really nice example.
Richard Wooders of The Complete stamp Co in Auckland has it.

195 Petes Post I know that Kadine stamps has a nice Petes Post FDC 1/4/99.
You need to Google his web store and follow the link via... New Zealand...down to.. Stamps private issues...Petes Post. ( APO's )
If it is single stamps you want maybe someone has some they can list on trademe.

195 Pre Stamp covers The guy on trademe with vast New Plymouth postal History stock and knowledge is tanchas.
Q & A his auction.
Maybe he can list the type of item you are after, on trademe.

196-198 Thank you. As usual the prices are very high, but a good example.
re-the Pete's Post I'm seeking more examples of the covers that were used pre 1/4/99. They are without stamps and come in 2 types. in ?/8/98 they have a single line [PETE'S POST] and then from about ?/10/98 to the stamps in 1999. The rubber stamp marking was quite large 50x35mm. I am inerested in the wear that shows as the months go by.
thanks again
