I got hubbys cold, its worse than the one i had :( no no dont send Stan i got housework done......rellies from Auckland coming sometime today, dont know when.( they might see Stan and sis-in-law might take him home arghhhh then what ! )
Have worked out why quilt borders were so wonky i think so will fix that and see.

Hello family and friends,

Today we are in Krakow Poland, I'm missing New Zealand today. Poland is cool, very chilly and not many people here speak english at all. We are staying right in the centre of town and it's pretty noisy. People don't sleep here, so it seems! The christmas markets are neat, we have now seen about 6 or more because they have been every where we have been. Mulled red wine is really nice especially in the cold! For those of you we havent been emailing regularly I'll give you an update on where we have been so far. Started in London for 2 nights, that was kind of a blur cos we were pretty tired. Then we went to Portsmouth, Manchester, Glasgow (where I fell down some stairs for the first time and hurt my neck!) then Edinburgh, Brussels, Amsterdam, Germany (Linz(second place to fall down some stairs!! didn't get hurt tho) and now Poland!!! Alot of places in such a short amount of time.

Yesterday we went to Auschwitz Concentration Camp...that was a very sobering experience. About 1.5 million Men, Women and children were killed there. Tomorrow we are going to the Salt Mines, 125 metres under the ground, it's meant to be pretty cool...

High lights for us so far would be Edinburgh because the buildings there were SO amazing and it had alot of history, we also loved Amsterdam...went to the Van Gogh Museum...but didn't get to see my favourite Starry night painting as it's in New York at the moment. We also did the Heineken Experience which was alot of fun and hired dutch bikes...that's the cool thing to do in Amsterdam :) ...wasn't so cool when we got lost and ended up riding around in the pouring raining for about 3hours trying to find our hotel! ...I'm surprised we didn't get sick, it was freezing! Germany was another Favourite, we stayed with the most lovely German couple...they called us their rented children :) They had a beautiful home and fed us SO well, Carlo was an amazing cook and we all ate way too much :) They also showed us all around their town and surrounding area. There were heaps of castles and more christmas markets, but german markets were by far the coolest. Heaps of traditional style markets and things, like a merry go round that has to be turned with handles.

And now we are in Poland... hasn't been the best experience so far... well it's been a mixture of good and bad. Like we got a taxi from the airport and we were stopped in the middle of the highway and shuffled into another van which took us to the bus station... bit weird. Then when we got here we got to the place we booked (an apartment) and no one was there and the number we had to ring them didn't work. Then we got a message to say meet some dude at mcdonalds. This guy came up to us and said follow me....he took us around the corner and into a dark hall way and up some dark stairs...halfway up he turned the light on... then we got to a door and he opened it and walked in (this was all without saying a word to us) he walks into all the rooms then goes for a wee in our toilet then comes out and says ok pay now. Communication here isn't great. But in the end the apartment is ok, it's got a giant lock on the door so we were happy about that.

Next we are off to Copenhagen Demark ...that's not till sunday tho....2more nights in Poland :)

So hi, everyones gone to work.... Rellies couldnt stay work commitments so going back today. Was soooooo good catching up :) Tis hubbys brother and his wife, they are so lovely.....they stayed at hubbys ex-wifes place - no room here with all T&A's stuff hmmmm dont know where they are going to sleep when they get back as they are staying here till they get a flat haha lol

Well i was home alone but the workers came home for early lunch - cooked it themselves and have left me the dishes lol hmmm they can stay there, i did the all the others before ......... im sewing - no time for dishes hahaha
