#Post

Yep Gerry Ive had both shots. Got in quite early cos of the heart stuff. I had one before my heart attack and one just after.

Im sitting crunching through my lunch.. YUMMM.

Ive yet to make the sign but it will be big and very noticable.

Im going to drop him off another lolly pack tomorrow since I have to see my Dr early, to see what this lump on my face is. So that will keep him happy.

This mornings call was lots of fun and laughter,, love it when its like that !!

I see there's a new covid case at Kawhia. One place I haven't been to yet. So its heading south for sure.

Have sorted out 10 balls of yarn for my sister in law, that will keep her happy.

Have a fab day all

morning ladies :) We're in for some thunder storms today so the septic tank guy better turn up this morning. Pity he never came yesterday as it was a lovely day.

We spent a lot of time at Kawhia as kids. Love the place and have many fond memories there. And now there's a case a Karapiro, not too far from us. Slowly inching it's way down south. Thank goodness we are both vaccinated.

I've started sewing the top of the quilt, so far, so good. Except when the Furry One decided it was a good idea to sit on my blocks. He likes to see what's going on and when I sew, will often join me. Time certainly flies when sitting at my machine lol. At around 4.30pm MrK popped his head in the room to check I was OK lol.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Yeah it doesn't look too flash here either Kiwimade.. And I have to go to the Drs and then grab a couple of things at the supermarket. And drop some stuff off for MrP. I haven't asked so they haven't said no lol.

The rain is bringing the pollen down, I can feel it in my system this morning. coughing my head off, which is going to look bad at the Dr's but thankfully there wont be many people upstairs since my Dr is only doing phone appointments other than me today.

I called my SIL about the wool. She thought I was going to be getting rid of huge amounts of wool. I thought no way.. 10 is enough for now, which is yarn I know I wont use. I need my stash so when the mood strikes me I can grab what I want. I didn't buy it to let her have it lol. And I charged her what I paid too. She knits kids clothes for the oppy she runs.

Had an awesome chat to my BIL, he's been so unwell that if you make him laugh he ends up having coughing attacks, but yesterday he sounded really well and we were up to our Normal laughing chats. Another Taurean and we have the same sense of humour and are kindred Spirits lol.

Loving your quilt Kiwimade and the Furry one sitting on it.. Missy often sits on the sewing table with me if Im in there any length of time.

Have a fab day everyone......... Crackers for lunch Lol

morning ladies :) I'm up bright and early this morning as we are having another power cut so the linesmen and ladies can repair a cross bar. It will be for most of the day so no machine sewing today for me.

The septic tank guy never turned up and no phone call to say why so I'll be phoning him today. Am over people saying they will do something and then don't.

Wow, mica, you're on a roll! Can't wait to see pics of your work. I unpicked all the sashes I sewed as they were too wide. I recut narrower ones and sewed them back on. Today I need to cut more blocks out so I'm organised for when the power comes back on. So much for my maths lol, I miscalculated by four.

Time to move and get a few things done that need power.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Wow they do a lot of work on your road Kiwimade.

I bet you are glad you saw your mistake before going too much further.

Im still deciding what to do next, and Ive had another idea.. lol.. Has anyone woven ribbon before? Thinking of a table runner for the coffee table for Christmas in red and Green. I will need some sort of frame to do it on, so ill let the plan develop. Current thinking is a washing airer folded open. but it might be a curse to work on, unless I tape it open to keep it taught.

Thank you again Mica for my box of Crackers, some from Christchurch arrived yesterday as well, so now I have a good stash and I will pace myself through them in case Arnotts still have a problem.

Yuck I have a new cereal and its like eating raw porridge. I prefer it toasted. Cant have read the box very well lol. I probably read as far as the berry and that was it.. Ill pick the good bits out and feed the birds lol.

The other day I got a sample of Iam's cat biscuits in the mail. MIssy loves them and they certainly fill her up. The biggest shock was the price difference between shops tho. $22 in New World and $15 at Pak n Save and countdown. So since I only had to get a bananas and milk yesterday Im going to pop over to Puke and get some for Madam. Her tastes have certainly changed over lockdown. And getting a free sample is a god way of trying without an expensive outlay to find she doesnt like it lol

So I will rattle me daggs and get a move on.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies,no sun today very overcast. Just about finished a blanket that I'm knitting as a thank you. Been playing around with the loom and not sure if I will set it up or leave it till next year. Just gave it a good clean and covered it.
Popeye take the broom handle off your broom head use it to weave your Christmas Runner. Could use a long ruler, just hang it over a chair, or over a door would be better.
Kiwimade, the blanket going to look lovely on the bed. Yes! a lot of work goes into one.

Was hoping to go down to Morrinsville and Hamilton to see family as I need a break as well from here. Now that plan gone out the window.
Will the coffee break is over, time to move and do some housework.
Have a couple appointments this afternoon. Yes my leg is still not right.
Take Care everyone and enjoy your day.

Well so much for the power cut! MrK reckons they had the wrong day as they usually do the power cuts on a Sunday when there are more businesses closed. We heard a rumour today that Delta is in town so expect a L3 lockdown. Wouldn't be surprised, we are so close to Karapiro. I wondered if the power people heard the rumour too and changed their minds for today. I guess stories and rumours are all over the place at the moment. As MrK says, I'll believe it when Jacinda says it's so lol.

morning ladies :) A mixed bag weather wise today by the looks of it.

I have a quilt top! Am so pleased with it. It's not perfect but I love the overall effect it has. And it was worth the effort to unpick the cream and make the borders narrower. Today I hope to be able to quilt it.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1622625885.jpg

trying to put it together but my supervisor had other ideas.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1622625789.jpg

Amazing what you can do with a vintage pillowcase, a tablecloth from the local Hospice shop and some fabric from Spotlight :) Now I'm eyeing up a tablecloth mum never used. It's the softest green and will look amazing with dark greens and creams. But first, to finish this one.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Kiwimade its Beautiful.. And the Furry one sure thinks its for him. lol

Now you have my brain going, I have a beautiful forest green tablecloth that I cant see me using for the table at any time. It could be turned into many things. Its embossed too.

Its sunny here at present..

Housework for me today, the toilet is soaking, and the janola gel is making me sneeze lol. The bed is stripped so I cant just sit and do nothing all day.

I will make the sign today to take up to MrP with the Blanket. They can give it to him, Ive got to the stage of thinking that I'm not going to see him for a very long time now.

Sunflowers You have given me the idea with the ruler or wood. Ohhh I have the slats from the plastic window blind I could use And they are smooth too. And I could tape some weight on it to hang it over a door even.

"I must not play with Ribbon today" I will have to chant lol.

Good Morning Ladies from Sunny Napier.
A lovely warm day ,off shorty to have another x ray on my hip. Got a phone call to say the x ray machine was down.less than an hour before my appointment.

Glad you are thinking about other ways to weave your Christmas hanger popeye .Are using wool or fabric for your hanger, if you using fabric you may need to add the odd stitch as well.Looking forward to seeing it or how it's going. Bye the way you may need to have some weights on it as will why you weave.
Yes! can be a pain if you plan your day and powder goes off Kiwimade. Looking forward to see your your patchwork. Like what you have showed
us.
I was hoping to visit family and friends later in Nov/Dec,now looks like I will not make it. Take Care. Yes! we have some cases near by, but still on level 2.
Hope you all have a great day. Take Care!!!!

Good afternoon from a beautiful sunny HB - hope your X-ray went to plan Sunflower
Kiwimade that quilt is lovely - timeless springs to mind - cast your eye over duvet covers at the op shop - some of them are made with beautiful fabrics - last year the nurses from Mums resthome brought me several light cotton ones to make sundresses out of - the fabrics were fine cotton probably like lawn used to be - they cost $2 - the ladies had to get dressed everyday so the light sundresses were perfect in the middle of a HB summer
My oldest son is devastated had to have his lovely 13 year old staffi put down - at least the vet came to his home so the last thing Meatball remembers was lying in front of the log fire in his bed - hope he gets another one a bit later on as their home is dog heaven - he had his own private dog park and took up most of their bed at night
Popeye being able to visit Mr P is not getting any closer - feel sorry for the kids whose parents can’t or won’t help them with home schooling - they won’t ever catch up - whoever would have believed our world would tip upside down like it has

I quite agree Gerry re the schooling... There will be a whole generation with a total mess of an education or lack there of.. Cos so many parents either cant or cant be bothered making sure the kids learn.

Its sad really

Afternoon ladies from sunny HB. Got to the medical center and told the x rays. machine was still down, did I get a call or text message. Pulled our my Cell phone and no messages. Told me I could go across to the hospital in Hasting for the x rays.
My Surgeon was not pleased as he is on duty this w/end waiting for the new x rays and had planned to op and see what was going on with the top of my leg. Also on the same side my hip needs a replacement. Yes ladies I am so over it all....
It took all my time not to cry in front of them at medical center or on the bus to come home. this afternoon.

End up getting some lunch and a drink and went down to the water front and sat people watching and the water. It was very clear and lots of people around.
Still need to do my supermarket shop. I will send in the list and have it delivered. I put an order in about every three weeks. That ok! I have food that I can use and eat still for a couple more weeks.
When living on Flinders Island everything came by boat or have it sent over by air.Yes! it was not cheap. If the sea was bad or airplanes could not fly over you use what you had in the store cupboard.

Not going to sew any more bags for a week or so.Sown up 30 plus for a friend that the manager of one of the op shops, they are out of the door so fast. My friend noticed that people where using bags last year instead of Christmas Paper. I had a lot of fabric stored . A store making curtains and bed covers etc was playing merry go round in the industry area. It happens a lot in area as places sell or put up the rent. etc.
I got a few hundred $s worth of fabric as they didn't want to move it again.

Popeye you on to it!. Just watch your edges each side. May have to put some weights like pieces of wood, food tins, rolled up cardboard on the ends so it will hung down.
Look forward to see your Christmas Runner.
Still lovely and sunny here,so the wash will be dry. I'm for to get some tea and watch the news.
Enjoy your evening everyone..

morning ladies :) A calm morning this morning, not a breath of wind.

Thank you for your kind comments about my quilt. I'm still quilting it and should have that part done today.

We heard there is a case of Delta in Katikati, looks like we are slap bang in the middle of it all. As for kids education, I think it's more parents and whanau don't know how to as they have been taught differently in the past. Education has changed so much over the years.

Sunflowers, hang in there, fingers crossed everything will sort itself out soon.

Gerry, I am so sorry to hear about your son's staffy. They are awesome dogs, real softies. After 13 years he will be missed terribly. It took us over two years to replace our labby with the Furry One. They really grab hold of your heart.

happy crafting :)

Gerry its always sad when our furbabies pass they enrich our lives so much
Not much planned for today, forgot to get the bolar roast out of the freezer last night so will have to rethink whats for dinner.
Will finish applique on my mod cat quilt and pull out fabric for the borders and backing so I can quilt it tomorrow.
This morning it is housework while DH walks the k9s
Have a great day

Morning everyone,

We have had rain overnight, and its a little windy at the mo

Wow Sunflowers I hope they can get that hip sorted for you. What a muck around.
Yeah I have plans just need to wait for some more ribbon cos I want it red and green. I did get some green but its too light for Christmas green, so have ordered more. Thankfully its only taking about 2 weeks now.

Ohh Gerry so sorry about your Sons Staffi. They are such cool dogs when raised right eh.

Im afraid I had a go at my friend in Taranaki yesterday. She has never taken this whole covid thing very seriously. The Boarder is only an hour from her. Even tho they are in level 2, she doesnt seem to understand being careful. Shes been out 7 times in the last 5 days. And she didnt stop even when they were in level 4. So I hope she has listened and tries harder to stay safe.

I have made the sign, will laminate it this morning and then Im going to take it and the blanket up and leave it for MrP.. I get the feeling its going to be a long time before we see each other so I want him to have it now.

More washing and then Im going to have a wee change around in the pantry, to make things more accessible for my cruddy back. Baking is just not going to be on the agenda very often so Ill move things a little.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Another calm morning here, I'm going to mow the lawn shortly. Spring has sprung lol.

I've finished my quilt! The binding isn't perfect (I ignore a bit of it) but it is finished. I'll take a pic later on and post it, overall, am happy with the end results considering I'm a beginner and I have an unhappy sewing machine. My machine wasn't happy to quilt and I have little birds nests of thread on it's reverse in spite of trimming threads as I sewed. I'm really tempted to hand quilt it and unpick the machine sewing as I go. But that's for another day. I'm going to have a tutu with my machine (again) and see what the problem is. I've done everything I can think of, tension, new needle, bobbin change, cleaned it and so on.

We're expecting the septic tank guy again this morning, third time lucky. He said we're first on his list today but we'll see if he remembers this time.

Happy crafting :)

Morning all overcast here not sure what the day will bring.
KM finished is better than perfect. Sorry your SM was giving you trouble.couple thoughts Re bobbin thread nests were you bringing the bobbin thread to the top before starting sewing? And using a walking foot.
I finished quilting my mod cat baby quilt just have the binding to hand stitch down and I might save that for next weeks quilting group but then again I want to see it finished lol so probably will not be able to stop myself picking up my needle and thread. Off to gym then housework that didn't get done yesterday as DH was having a bad day so didn't want to whizz with the vacuum
Have a good day everyone

mica3 - 2021-10-11 07:49:00
17624

ahhh yes, I was bringing the bobbin thread to the top but I wonder if my machine just wasn't coping with the bulk of all the layers. I might have to invest in a walking foot.

I've taken some pics before I hang out the washing. At this distance you can't see the mistakes lol.

The backing is from a sheet Mum had so the quilt is recycled from Mum's linen or the Hospice Shop. The sheet was perfect as it had blue bunches of flowers and toned in. It's a perfect 'lap' size for the couch :)

Morning Everyone

Oh Kiwimade its beautiful. And nothing is ever perfect at your first attempt. But it sure looks fine to me.
The only thing remotely quilted that I have done is a baby blanket, I got the printed panel either at an oppy or garage sale. And put it together and simply sewed around some of the things in the picture.

I enjoyed doing housework over the weekend. And finally I think I have my act and head together.

I took MrPs blanket up yesterday and he loves it. Is showing it off and pointing the sign out. It was taken in to him when we were on the phone so he asked the nurse to put the sign up lol.. He told the nurse he is lucky his wife Loves him eno0ugh to hurt her hands to make it for him. Just as well I wasnt there when he said that, Id have bawled lol

Said hands are aching today so I need to find something to do. Might restart my hotty cover, and do one for Madams as well. That rat bag didnt want to let me get up this morning lol.

morning ladies :) Hi 10ofus, great to 'see' you again :)

What a rough night we had weather wise, last night. I felt sorry for our bin man this morning, was raining really hard. He was earlier than usual emptying the bin at 5.30am.

Our septic tank was emptied with no drama this time thank goodness. Last time the lid broke and we had to get a digger in as the lid before that one had also been left in the tank. Cost us over $1000 all because the plumbing firm had done a cr** job previously (sorry, couldn't resist it lol).

Our road is very quiet with Hamilton and now Cambridge in L3. Amazing how many people commute between Tauranga, Hamilton and Auckland. No wonder they call it t he golden triangle.

We have some robins (I think they are robins) hanging around the garden and MrK has seen them in the plum tree around a nest. Fingers crossed they decide to move in :) I am trying to take photos so I can embroider them as they are very pretty with their red breasts. They can be part of the 'series' I want to do.

Speaking of the plum tree lol, we have plums!! We planted the trees about five years ago but every spring so far the wind has blown the blossoms off before the bees could work their magic. This year it's been calm and the bees have been going nuts with the blossoms. MrK spotted teeny tiny plums had formed yesterday. He espaliered them along the fence when they were planted so we had more room in the garden and they are looking great.

Happy crafting :)

Good morning everyone

I heard a very distant rumble last night but that was it. Have had rain, but nothing bad for sure so far.
It was warm through the night tho.

I started a hotty cover yesterday, we will be having matching ones. Missy soo loves her hotty, she spends alot of time on it.

I see they have finally taken that "truant" woman into custody, the one who tripped around with the other covid positive case. I hope she gets charged with something. Like evading police perhaps. Shes put alot of people at risk.

I have finally learnt not to expect any changes to the levels or get upset when things are postponed..

morning ladies :) It's chilly this morning and we've had some showers already.

My sister called in yesterday. She has been away in her campervan for over a week and was heading home. L3 lockdowns kicked in while she was away so she is going home to stay home. The Furry and Fluffy Ones were so excited to see each other lol. It was madness as they chased each other through and around the house. You would never believe they were two old dogs lol.

Yesterday I bought some fabric to make another small lap quilt, this time for my sister's Christmas present. She has lots of pot plants and the fabric has big monsteria leaves on it so should fit into her conservatory nicely. I've also ordered a leather thimble as I'm tired of my fingers hurting as I hand sew or embroider.

I have a list of things to do today so better get cracking.

KM welcome to the dark side the quilt you have planned sounds lovely.
Well ladies you will be proud of me I started sorting out my garment fabric yesterday just .linings, denim and merino to go .I have my fabric wound onto polystyrene board filed in plastic tubs so that I can see what's in each container. I need more containers for the merino. So far 2 rubbish bags fabric for op shop.
There will be no sewing until its all finished -gotta motivate myself somehow.
One sleeve to go and cardi will be finished.
Down loaded Woolworx free 4ply hoodie pattern yesterday might give that a go next

Morning everyone
Its quite calm out there today compared to yesterday. I can see and not just hear TV today lol. The neighbours trees need a serious prune. Im considering leaving a note in their mailbox. Even if they have to come in our place to trim them back.

Had a bad sinus head yesterday so it was hard to keep the eyes open lol.. I did about an hour of crochet tho.

My plan of action is to hit the boxes under my bed but I also want to go through my wardobe. I have far too many clothes that I seriously will never wear so the oppy might win if I cant give them away on FB.

Heres a question for you... when will you start using your "Good" stuff lol.. I have lovely new towels and linen etc.... But I still have lots of life in the ones I use now... I dont want to get to the time when I might need to go into a rest home having not even used my Good stuff lol.. But it seems a waste to give up on the perfectly fine stuff Im using lol.
If that makes sense lol

I hope to hit the sewing room on the weekend. Im planning on having a huge garage sale when lockdown allows.

Have a fab day all

Wow Kiwimade, Id never heard of a leather thimble.

Alliexpress has them too

morning ladies :) It's a gorgeous morning so I'm planning to mulch the last of the garden prunings this morning and spray the weeds where I plan to plant hydrangeas out on the main road. OMG I saw hydrangeas for $30 each at Mitre 10, MrK is going to have to get a wriggle on and take those cuttings he promised me as I'm not paying that price for them. Especially as I'll need around nine or ten.

lol mica @ the dark side! Good on you for sorting out your fabric.
I think every now and then we need to have a decent look through of what we have as often we will buy something and it's already in our stashes.

Popeye, I've wanted a leather thimble since I first saw them ages ago. My fingers get really sore when 'needle painting' as the embroidery gets quite thick as you build up the colours. And now I am hand quilting as well, so need the extra protection for my fingers. The Bernina shop has ordered one for me so I'm waiting now for it to arrive.

Yesterday I had a tutu making a block for my sister's quilt. I started off using scrap fabric and decided the 'Disappearing Four Patch' was the perfect block for her. The main fabric has these gorgeous bright green monsteria leaves with a dark background. This block really shows off the fabric when I use black as the contrast so I think I'll just use the one style. Even MrK is impressed lol.

happy crafting:)

KM the disappearing nine patch is a good block to play with I will look forward to seeing your quilt when it is finished. Agree a good thimble and finger protection is necessity. I have hand quilted one quilt 2.5m square whole cloth that took 485 hrs to quilt my hand quilting improved over that time I tried different ways but the one I found kindest on my hands and fingers was Thimbleby thimble FYI https://www.thimblelady.com/shop/quilting-thimbles/
Now I really like freemotion quilting on my machine its like doodling with thread, I have a few rulers too which are fun to use.
Finished the tidy up just got to vacuum and file the containers and I will be ready to sew found couple pieces fabric that will make nice feeding tshirts for DD
Volunteer day today will have to rug up as the warehouse is always cooler than the outside temperature
Have fun day

Morning everyone

Its a stunner of a day so far. Quite still too. We missed any of the narly weather I think.

Wow $30 for a hydrangea is shocking. Especially when they grow from cuttings. I have learnt Im good at growing Geraniums lol.. I have 3 rescues. The pink is from a piece that the men redoing the footpath behind MrPs room at the home, The white was a very sad one I got at Pak n Save which I got simply cos it was white, and it now has flowers,, and the Mystery I found in the broken pot behind the yuccas in the front garden here. Its going bonkers.. Im hoping its red. I see Pat next door has a red one so I might ask for a cutting, once I know what colour my last one is.

Yesterday I went through the boxes under my bed. Cut it down from 5 banana boxes to two. Found odd bits of white wool and some leather lol. I think there is stuff under the spare room bed so might look at that today. Im being surprisingly ruthless. Im sick of carrying stuff around.

The sewing room will be the last room tho, cos by then Ill need to be with nice stuff lol. Ill be packing down, cramming stuff into less crates I hope lol

What ever did we do before plastic crates lol... You can get sooo much wool or fabric into them lol.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Another stunning day here today by the looks of it. I didn't do the weed spraying so am up early to do it shortly while there is no wind.

Thanks for the link, mica. What a cool site for hand quilting :). WOW, 485 hours to hand quilt 2.5 m sq! I hope you kept it or the recipient truly appreciated it. It's amazing how much time we can spend on our craft, time can slip away so easily.

Keep going with the sort out, popeye lol. It's liberating to declutter! My stash's aren't that big as we just don't have the room anymore. I must buy some wool/yarn and finish the knitted blanket. It can then be gifted or stored for us. Either way, it will give me back some shelf space in my sewing cupboard.

Happy crafting :)

Morning all,
Clear skies and looking forward to a sunny day not a breath of wind.
No sewing yesterday, DD came over for couple hours in the afternoon and we joined another couple and ate out at local Vietnamese which was yummy we had coffee at ours after so nice evening. Sorry Popeye hopefully it won't be too long before you can get out and about more. I have say that I like the increased spacing at cafes
Out this morning to get buttons for latest cardi. Might try knitting a Milo vest next. Will cut out breast feeding friendly tshirts this afternoon
Enjoy your day everyone

Morning everyone
Another Stunner here too.. and calm the trees aren't moving at all.

Wow that's a lot of hours.. It is easy to pass many hours away. When I was painting I was clocking up the hours too. But not that many.

Makes you think tho. The Amish are well known for their quilting. All done by hand. But they didn't have the modern tools to do their housework, so the time for quilting was very precious.

I went through 9 crates yesterday, and have an ever increasing pile to list and save for the garage sale. Haven't hit the sewing room yet. But plan to on the weekend.

I enjoyed the "Space Invaders" show on Saturday night and it inspired me to get on top of our stuff. Nothing like that ladies apart from in the sewing room. But Im very careful about making sure the floors are clear, its dangerous other wise.

Kiwimade what weed spray do you use, Im needing some here and dont want to waste my money on useless ones.

Im going to crochet today, to give the back a break. After I've popped up for milk and bananas.. and to take more stuff to MrP. He was in a right grump last night.

Have an Awesome Day everyone

Hi all, it’s my favourite month, which means Halloween creations, have made 8 pumpkins and 8 ghosts, still need to sew some of the pumpkins together, and add the cinnamon sticks to them, and add eyes to the ghosts. I will look at doing some bats too.

morning ladies :) A chilly start to a gorgeous day today :)

Would love to see your Halloween critters, tim6. They sound great :)

Popeye, I use the cheap $10 weed killer from the Warehouse but when I mix it, I give it a good squirt of dishwashing liquid as this brand doesn't have a 'fixer' to make it stick to the weeds. The dishwashing liquid does the trick.

Mica, I love the increased spacing too. And not just at cafes, at the supermarket as well. Our road is still very quiet, just shows how many people commute each day between Tauranga and Hamilton.

Yesterday I sewed another row of blocks and squared them all up. I'll have to wait until I can get to Spotlight for batting but I can keep making the top. Am very happy with it so far.

Happy crafting :)

Morning all
Fine but windy today
Managed to sew up two t shirts for DD and have another to make today.
DGD is wearing all the merino clothes that I have made her DD really likes the onsie singlets and is sad because she has grown out of the whale print all in ones. Will have to start thinking about making s few in bigger sizes.
DH has an order in for another henley tshirt as well. The tab front adds a bit of time to the sew
Looking forward to seeing your critters tim6 they sound .ike fun.
KM sounds like you are on a roll with your quilt top. Are you planning on hand quilting? If so consider using wool batting as it is easier on the hands.
Housework and a batch of biscuits this morning , sewing this afternoon
Have an enjoyable day

Morning Everyone

Going to be another stunning day.

Ohh I cant wait to see the pics too Tim6... There seems to be a lot more patterns out for Halloween this year.

Thanks Kiwimade I will order some online, since we still cant go in. Loving the sound of the new quilt. What colours this time?

Ohh Mica sad when the littlies grow out of outfits so quickly, but if stored correctly it might be good to keep for future little ones.

I didnt really do anything yesterday, between phone calls and popping up the road.

I have to pack up some wool for my sil at some stage over the weekend and get that ready to be picked up.

I will be listing stuff today finaly lol.

I have to remember which box I saw the box for my mobile in today. When talking to MrP last night I somehow managed to mute the phone. and I can only get it to work on the speaker phone, which is hopeless for my deaf ears. I was ready to throw it last night,, grrr. I might look online for a manual will will take less physical effort tho lol.

Hope to crochet later,,

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) It's lovely and calm outside t his morning, not a breath of wind.

I love your pumpkins, tim6 :) The cinnamon stick would give a lovely spicy scent too.

MrK has emptied some of the raised vegie plots to put fresh soil an compost in so I have some soil to spread on the flower garden today. It's like a merry-go-round lol. From the compost bin to the vegies, then to the flower garden and back to the compost as I compost the finished flowers.

My sister-in-law is visiting us some time this week and is bringing her worm farm with her. So we will need to read up about worms and what to feed them. MrK has a spot by the compost bins for them in the shade. Can't wait as worm-wee is amazing stuff.

I'm still sewing the top of the quilt, am sooo happy with it so far. Popeye, the main colour is green monsteria leaves so a 'big' pattern. My contrast is black to match the background of the green fabric. In spite of the black, it looks bright and bold.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Have fun with the girls Mica... I miss going to groups etc for some company and fun.

I have a bottle of worm wee I was given ages ago. Never known how to use it lol
Love the sounds of your colours Kiwimade.. Im sure it will be wonderful.

I didn't get any crafting done yesterday, Between phone calls and listing stuff I just seemed to run out of time.

Last week one of our oppies opened, at the door, contactless pick up etc and some miserable person dobbed them in.. They were selling mainly jigsaws, toys, crafting stuff.. all stuff to help people get through the lockdown time.... They were called and told to stay shut. I have a huge suspicion I know who it was and Im not the only person thinking of the same person either.
Its no different to other shops like the $2 type ones, of which we have 3 who are all open.

Some people are just mean and Nasty to sink that low. This one Oppy gave $40,000.00 back to the community in the last year.. And one phone call got them into trouble.

We believe in Karma here so hopefully it will be a double Deka bus that comes to the person. It would have to be a confession that would make me agree it was someone else

I have to pack up this parcel for my sil today, thank goodness for the trade me book a courier service cos our post shop hasn't been open since lockdown started, but Im still able to send parcels without leaving home. And you dont have to have sold the item on here.. Its Awesome.

Then I hope to get into the sewing room for a cull and repack.

Have a fab day everyone
