Kiwistamps Yes NZ Post's website says that you can use the Kiwistamps on overseas postage and parcles. You would just need to multiply the standard postage rate to get the value needed for overseas post or parcels and use the appropriate number of stamps. I think that NZ Post probably intends that they will be used primarily on internal letters though.

RIP I was saddened to learn of Warwick Delamore's passing.
Although I would only see him at exhibitions and show he would always have time for an extended non-commercial chat on all subjects. I will miss the contact.
My condolence and best thoughts to his family

I used to have a really good online stamp catalogue that I would flick to just to check the catalogue price against what I would be buying on here and it seems to have gone or changed or something weird. The ACS stamp catalogue can anyone enlighten me as all I can come up with is american stamp catalogue now.????

It seems that there won't be any more CAL "Proof Sheets" supplied to CAL issuers in future by NZ Post. It seems they have finally realised the potential problems of imperf designs floating around which look like real stamps but which aren't postally valid.

#1735 you might find allworldstamps.com handy (Stanley Gibbons in stg) Pics were avail on trial memberships there some years ago, but otherwise a paid sub. Mystic Stamp Catalog have a US site for American. As Rebel58 has posted SG Catalogues - the later the better as values are moving

What is the best way of finding out what the watermarks are, do you have to buy something expensive?

Try Lighter Fluid (the type you use in a zippo lighter) a couple of drops on back of stamp ( enough to soak the stamp)The stamp face down on a black surface. Will not harm Gum ,Postmark or paper.Other methods are available but more expensive.

Don, pick up your bat and go for another innings. The internet changes many. So many are not genuine.

We now have 6000+ lots to look through every week. Everybody hoping to get ACS [or other] prices as a start and of course this item is worth full CP with premium!!! It isn't. Would vendors give us a chance and have the starting price as the reserve. There are items with $50++ reserves that start at $1. This is wasting the bidders time. If you start at $1 be prepared to sell at $1. Most quality/genuine 'items' sell at a reasonable price. In fact lately prices have been huge - who said there was/is a recession. Give the bidder a chance and have your starting price as your genuine reserve.

I have a sheet of 45 cent stamps, which were never officially issued. I managed to buy a sheet before the Post Office withdrew them on the first day of sale, as there was a fault in them. I cannot remember what year they were issued, or what they commemorated, but I THINK there was a colour flaw. I want to advertise them, but how would I word the heading? FLAWED MINT STAMPS? FAULTY MINT STAMPS? STAMPS NOT OFFICIALLY ISSUED? Any ideas please?

Can you describe what picture is on the stamps dize5 ?.. Then someone will possibly know of the error and it's rarity. Some of these error stamps fetch a lot of money, such as the Olympic Lenticular, Health Teddy bear 40+ 5c and major colour flaws. Best to know what you actually have before listing.

willy hunt. 4 stamps form a picture, with birds, ducks, insects, seal, dolphin, penguin, etc. either in the water or around it. They were designed in Wellington by Donna McKenna.

Those stamps sound like 1993 WWF Conservation issue. Perhaps you could post a picture an a more knowledgeable person might be able to identify what the flaw is.

I have listed the item now, so if you wouldn't mind looking at the photos there, I would really appreciate it. I don't know how to put photos on here. There is probably a far better way for me to word this auction.
