I reckon you can never have too much wool either

#Post

phew, the inside of the car is all done, just need to vacum it. I even used a toothbrush to clean some nooks and crannies lol. We're selling this car as we have another now and I want it to be spotless.

Time for lunch then I'll vacum and get the Furry One's fur off the seats. He sheds more than cats! MrK has set the long garage extension cord up for me (I could do it lol) to make the job easier. Tomorrow, I'll waterblast the car and give it a polish.

I have one devastated man.

They "Found" the blanket last night.. In the Laundry.. It had been washed and put in the dryer.. It has shrunk of course and he said there is a big hole in it as well.
And he remembers using the estate money to get the wool. I didn't mention that, so his long term memory is working.

He said boy they are Lucky I can't go in and see them about it. he knows that Im not happy and will have a few words with them.

He has it so they can all see what has been done to it. Its soo hard cos he needs a hug, a big one.

So thankfully I keep a huge stash... I have got wool out for another.. I say wool, its not this time its only acrylic, so it wont be as warm but it will still have my love gone into the work I put into it.

He said not green this time, which is good cos I dont have much green, so its A rich darker blue, a bright medium blue and white... Like his eyes.

We have also decided that when the weather warms up his jacket I knitted him is coming home too and Ill wash it and put it away for next winter.

I really hope they are counting their blessings that Im not able to go there

Morning all,
Oh Popeye thats not good so disappointing when instructions not followed and commonsense not used. My pattern is lost NZPost said it was delivered but we definitely didn't get it so I will just have to move on..
Click and collect grocery shop yesterday I tried for delivery but would ha e to wait a few days. Anyway very slick service.
Making another hooded baby towel today cut it out yesterday looks like I killed a bunny with all the white fluff generated.
Thinking about starting a quilt using my scraps
Have good day

morning ladies :) ohhh popeye, that is just awful. I would have words too. I wonder why they thought it needed washing? I think people just know how to treat wool anymore as they are so used to acrylic. But that's beside the point, they were asked not to wash it.

Today I'll waterblast the car and when it dries use the cutting compound on it. I'm hoping I can buy car polish at the supermarket when I shop next. And when this lockdown is lifted I will list it for sale. MrK looked at what I had done yesterday and said, maybe we should keep it lol. Nope, one car is enough for us.

Housework today too, there's not much to do as I've been on my own for a while. So a lick and a promise today.

Mica, NZ Post is a shocker for loosing parcels. Instead of their makeover, maybe they should focus on their service. I'm using fabric scraps for a quilt (my first one!) and like the memory blanket I've been knitting (still need 3 balls of wool lol) the fabric has all those memories attached to it.

Yesterday afternoon while we were watching a Netflix movie I unpicked the Dalmatian's beauty spots and re-embroidered them. I can move onto his ear now (it's a side view). He has the most beautiful ears, silky soft and floppy. I'll take some pics and post my progress.

I suspect we are in for a longer lockdown, I don't care how long it takes for us to be at home, we need to beat Delta.

Happy crafting, check in with friends and family and stay safe.

Morning, have made three pairs of booties over the last couple of days, was hoping to make matching hats, sadly I don’t have quite enough left of the colours needed, so will have to wait until after lockdown to go buy some more, had a look on the spotlight website, but they don’t appear to have one colour, would prefer to look in person.

Popeye, I’d say something too.

Afternoon everyone.

I had to go to Pukekohe to do my bloods, so did that and some shopping and home.

Before I left I rang the home and arranged to do a drop off and pick up for MrP... I have spoken to him and he couldnt find the sample of the colours Im doing his new blanket it, that I put in the jeans pocket. but he was going to have another look.

I havent rang them about the original blanket as yet... But I will be.......

I have discovered one reason why his Mobile isnt working... There is No battery in it lol.. so Ive called the hospital incase it was found and about to ring them back, they were going to have a look.... So hopefully they might have found it. Cos its not going to be easy to find a replacement, or a phone with buttons that he can use and works on Skinny.

It was nice sitting and crocheting last night.. the wrist was complaining a little.. out of practice lol.

Sounds like everyone are /is using their time in the most joyfull manner lol.

Its a stunning day here... Enjoy it everyone

wow, the vaccination people are just awesome. We've had a phone call asking if MrK would like to go in tomorrow as the center was closed when he was due to go in. I had cancelled both of his appointments as soon as Jacinda made the L4 announcement and rebooked him for two weeks time. So it was a big yes from him to be jabbed tomorrow and once again I've made more cancellations and shuffled his second appointment around. I'll be glad when he's vaccinated lol. But it is an easy process to do online thank goodness.

The car is washed and omg it was so easy with the water blaster. Certainly took less time and effort to do. All I need to do now is the cut and polish.

I was booked for vac num1 3 weeks ago. Mr C came with me and we asked when we got there if he could get his first at the same time. His first was originally booked for this coming Tues at the same time as my 2nd. The lady went off to see if there were enough vials for him and as it was an evening appt, they did. So we are off for jab 2 on Tuesday evening together. Works out well as Im always too tired to drive after lunch.

Thank you from Me !!

morning ladies :) hahaha, you're welcome, popeye. MrK has had two heart ops so we're not taking any chances. I only changed his first vaccine booking as he needed that time with his sister otherwise he would have had his first dose already.

Another gorgeous day here by the looks of it. It's soooo quiet and not a breath of wind. I said to MrK, imagine when all the vehicles are electric, how quiet our roads will be.

Today I'm using the rubbing compound on the car but I have to wait for it to dry first. I'll be very sorry to see this car go but we don't need two. I have a big pile of ironing to do while I wait.

Yesterday afternoon I embroidered the Dalmatian's collar and am very pleased with it. I've left stitching his ear as it's a 'favourite' bit and I'll do that last. Today I'll start working my way up his neck and around the collar.

Stay safe and don't forget to check in with friends and whanau.

happy crafting :)

Morning all, lovely sunny and no wind here too.
Hooded towel finished and the mess the white fluff made vacuumed up so the machines got another vacuum out as well.
Got some left over quilt binding fabric scraps together and have sewn them today will be cutting out a few 100 half square triangles. No pattern in mind yet I will see what they look like quite an eclectic assortment of colours.
Lockdown means we will get to look after DD very boisterous Airdale while she is birthing. The kennels are closed. :( but at least her DH can stay with her while she is there(can't leave and return) and he will be fed too.
KM you are making progress on the dalmatian,
I will be stuffing my bunny bits tonight.
Have a good day off to walk the k9s

Morning everyone

We have the wind lol.. But I wont be out in it, so it doesn't matter lol but its sunny and bright.

I admit to not liking cleaning cars... I married a car painter so shouldn't have needed to, but of course than meant it was never done lol

I did A drop off for MrP.. the reason his phone isnt working is cos the battery is missing.. Lol So I rang the hospital and got them to check. They didnt find one... so Now I have to try and find a battery that will fit, or find another phone, needs to have buttons cos MrP cant do the swipe type.. argghh !!! Im tempted to just leave it and ring him on the homes phone.. Ill see how it goes with that tho.

He loved the colours of the new Blanket. I put a sample in the pocket of the jeans I got him from the oppy a couple of weeks ago .. He said it will still mean alot to him cos he knows how much work goes into them.
Which nearly made me cry when he said that...

I haven't tackled them about the other blanket yet, I was talking to the Owner yesterday but I didn't want to ruin my day.. but Ill be walking around with the new blanket telling everyone to keep their cotton picking hands off it. lol

I had to nip into New World yesterday on my way home and the queue outside was the full length of the car park and half way long again, as I was walking down a lady I know who was doing the trolley washes and letting people in called out, and she let me in ahead of everyone.. I dont know if she had any grumbles but she would have said Id just had a heart attack anyway.. I thanked her on FB without people knowing the reason cos I put it in a local group. Id have been stuffed if id had to wait to get through the queue.

A quiet day crocheting for me today.. Im loving the colours and the yarn Im using is nice and soft for acrylic. Some of it is from Deramores, so Ive had that a while lol.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) MrK has a retro styled flip phone that has big buttons and loves it as his fingers can use it easily. So those types of phones are out there, popeye, if you have to replace MrP's. I sometimes think phone batteries are just as expensive as the phone when it comes to the retro models.

MrK had his first jab yesterday, I can't believe the relief I felt when it was done. I didn't realise how much it was bothering me he hadn't had his first one.

Another beautiful day here but I don't have any car polish lol and I'm not going to the supermarket just for that under L4. The rubbing compound made a huge difference to the old girl and polishing will just finish off the job nicely.

I'll do a bit more embroidering on the Dalmatian today, still working up his neck, under the collar. He is a gorgeous dog and I hope I do him justice with this piece.

Stay safe, happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Its overcast here today. quite dull.

Yeah I think its going to be a mission to sort out a phone. I may end up just sticking with using the landline.. Although I was hoping to ditch that. Ive saved a search on here so will keep an eye out.

Ill ask MrP when Im talking to him Kiwimade about what else you can use to polish the car. Believe it or not I've seen him use baby powder before today. but being a car painter he might have a suggestion.

I did quite a bit on the blanket yesterday. I have my mojo back and am really enjoying doing it. I must be better at doing things for others than I am for myself cos I have 2 cardys and a hot water bottle cover started and not worked on lol.

Have a few things I want to get done today so

Have a fab day everyone

Morning all,
No need for you yo go to the gym KM with all your gardening and car polishing lol.
Popeye hope you are successful sorting out MrP phone.
I now have 317 three inch half square triangles prob enough for baby quilt.
Guess what I will be doing today.
Finished boy bunny last night his eyes not quite location but they give him character.
Keep your bobbins full

Kiwimade

MrP says a good strong cold tea, no tea leaves is good for a darker coloured car. And polish in one direction dont go in circles.
Otherwise try the petrol stations, they should have turtle wax or something similar.

17417

morning ladies :) I would never have thought of cold tea, popeye. Can you thank MrP for me please. Good to hear you have your mojo back.

haha mica, I hate the gym so find other ways to keep active. I hope you managed to sew the top of your quilt yesterday.

I have finished the Dalmatian's neck up to his collar and now I'm working from the top of his head down. If we stay in lockdown longer, I should have him finished quicker than I originally thought. MrK has almost finished the box for his sister's ashes. He has to put the hinges and catch on and do the final finishing polish.

Take care, happy crafting :)

Sounds like we are all being productive.
Got my HST laid out so will sew them together today in between zoom meetings and walking the k9s. DH not having good day today so sewing may not happen.
Cast on for a cardi last night charity knit.
Still waiting for baby to arrive.
Keep the bobbins spinning

Morning everyone
Yeah I figured he would have a suggestion Kiwimade. I think he liked being asked too. His cold is mending, sounding more like himself again.

Yeah Im pleased Ive got my mojo back its such a horrible feeling knowing I have all this stuff but no desire to do anything. I didnt do much crochet yesterday, but was busy on other stuff so back to it this morning.

Lovely that MrK is making the box for the ashes Kiwimade. A Fitting tribute and it will be beautiful as always.

Sorry to hear MrM isnt well Mica, hope things improve.

Thank goodness we have our crafts to keep us going. Im in two minds about going to Pukekohe for my bloods on Friday. Cos of the positive cases over there. I might get the Dr to order a home test. Wil ring today cos no doubt they will be super busy with others not wanting to leave town too.

Morning ladies, I know I've been absent for a long time, and haven't been keeping up to date with all the news. I've read some of what has been happening with Mr P and it's sad that his blanket has been ruined. I'd be angry too. Also sorry to hear that Mr K's sister has passed away.

My Mr K Mark II fell down my stairs at 1am, I woke to a loud thud and thought he had knocked a bookcase over or something, but when I got up to investigate, he was silent and motionless at the bottom of my stairs (wooden, not carpeted, and there's 18 treads) big pool of blood beside him. I raced down and he sat up, his face covered in blood, so I phoned the ambulance. So off to hospital, first to Kawakawa then to Whangarei where they did a CT scan, and he discharged himself next morning so I went and collected him. He had some cracked ribs but he was lucky he didn't kill himsself.

Then just last weekend I discovered that he had edited his listing for rooms to rent on trademe, to include a room to rent at my place. Not sure when he was going to tell me, or even if he was going to tell me. So he's lucky I didn't kill him. Anyway I took him and the dog back to his place last Monday, and we still talk to each other, but it's pretty much over. I just about had steam coming out my ears. I was absolutely furious. He said he doesn't remember doing it, but that doesn't wash with me. He's still got some stuff here, but he can come back and get that later.

I was at the craft market last weekend, and had a good day Saturday and a reasonable day Sunday. Sold a couple of face masks and commented that I hoped we wouldn't need them for much longer. How wrong could I be?

I must get stuck in and do some gardening.

I'm pretty disappointed with the amount of traffic on the road here, it's just like normal. I can't believe it, and yachts and launches going out and coming in. People don't seem to be taking it seriously up here, and no sign of police stopping anyone. Oh that's right, the rules don't apply to everyone - grrrr!

Right, rant over.

Garden is calling.

Have a super day and keep safe everyone.

kuaka - 2021-08-23 11:33:00

Oh Kuaka

What a mess, but I think you did the right thing. And that excuse wouldn't wash with me either.

Yep "some" people think it doesn't apply to them. I dont see the traffic down here like we used to . But when I have been up the road its quieter.

Well done at the market... Im guessing there wont be any more now until lockdown is over.

MrP is in a grumpy mood and hung up. So no phone call tonight..

popeye333 - 2021-08-23 12:34:00

Good afternoon another beautiful day in the Bay - hope you are OK Sunflower
Popeye we put a little list on the inside of Mums door at the rest home of things that were not to leave her room - like Mr Ps blanket as staff change -we learned the hard way with a lovely shawl of Mums that went off to the laundry
Definitely a labour of love Mr K making his sisters final resting place
I have started another blanket - probably two thirds of the way through hope I don’t run out of wool overseas online shopping is a bit hit and miss at the moment
My Uni student grand daughter went over to Sydney to visit her maternal grandmother who is terminally ill and got stuck- she did her two weeks in MIQ - we all had multiple phone calls from her she was terrified as there were so many times risks were taken even though you booked your exercise times and you shouldn’t mix with others - people were mixing in the halls regularly - she couldn’t get out of there quick enough - boarded a plane to fly to Wellington along with the passenger with covid so she is self isolating and waiting on tests - can’t wait to get back to Uni - but not sorry she went
Had an interesting courier experience last week - i live in a very quiet street a noisy car came down the street and stopped outside my place - couple of young guys - though they maybe working on their car - courier arrived across the street and took a parcel to the back house - one of the young blokes got out of the car sauntered across the road and hopped into the courier - I thought it was a driver swap - car and courier van took off - next thing the courier comes out from the back house absolutely gob smacked
He had stupidly left the keys in it and his wallet But it was obviously an insider job - not the driver I have known him for years - they found the van minus all the parcels- so anybody waiting for those parcels will still be waiting - the police came and asked me what I had seen but it never crossed my mind it was something untoward
My grandson and granddaughter invited several overseas students to come home with them during lock down instead of being left at boarding school -some of them haven’t been home since covid first hit - anyway they were all playing rugby on the lawn and the police arrived one of the neighbours had reported a gathering of ten teenagers but it was all legitimate .Its madness at his supermarket so a bit of chaos at home is just another blip .Sales are 3 times Christmas sales it’s madness - I would still buy plenty of Missies food Popeye - but not toilet rolls
Better go and close some windows it’s starting to cool down

gerry64 - 2021-08-23 17:50:00
17423

morning ladies, so much for our frost this morning. It's overcast and calm.

Ohhh buggar, kuaka. I also think you did the right thing, you have every right to be fuming. It's quiet here, seems most are playing by the rules. Pity the police aren't waiting for those people on the jetty. It's like the people who decided their batch/crib was 'home' and tried to go there. There's always some who think they know better.

gerry, how lovely of your grandies to invite the overseas students home with them. They must be missing home a lot and at least this way, they will have some family time. I'm sure the student's parents will be very grateful too. When we had students staying with us we would receive letters and emails from parents thanking us for looking after their kids. As for the courier van, the courier should be able to leave his keys in his van while he makes the delivery. But this isn't a perfect world.

Yesterday I stitched more black spots on my Dalmatian. I had to unpick a couple of times as my stitch direction was wrong. I keep referring to the photo and if in doubt, have a good look at the Furry One's fur.

Stay safe, happy crafting :)

Morning all,
Overcast and spitting with rain. Just got back from walking k9s so a bit hot and bothered.
Did more frog stitching than stitching quilt yesterday it always takes so much longer to undo than it does to actually sew together.
Got DD dogs coming today the feline will be unhappy but safe in the sewing cave.
Had to start my charity cardi again turns out I didn't have another ball of the same colour so definitely a rip it day.
Keep your bobbins full and have good day

I am sooo sore today, so Ive doped up. At least Ill get some crochet done tho.

A lovely thing to do re the students Gerry.. and it broaden your family for many years if not forever. Wow re the courier. Im super careful and always lock the car even if Im just putting the trolley in the cage at the supermarket. thinking badly it wouldnt take long to learn the rounds of a courier, cos they are generally her at a usual time..

Yes Im going to be making a sign for MrP's notice board...

I was absolutely devastated last night when they extended lockdown. I knew they would but having it confirmed means we cant be together for our anniversary. I said to MrP birthdays is bad enough but you have them every year... you dont have 30th anniversaries anymore than once.

morning ladies :) It's another calm day here with lots of high cloud. I'm going to make the most of it and mow the lawn as it's not often the lawn is dry this time of the year.

Oh buggar, mica. I hate those frogging days where nothing goes right. And it's when you're frogging you realise just how firm your sewing is lol. I think my unpicker is one of my most used sewing tools at times.

Yesterday I stitched a bit more on the Dalmatian. It looks like I haven't done much but it takes a lot of embroidering. Long and short stitch is good for filling but I need to fill all the spaces so it takes time. I'll keep working on it today.

I also want to figure out how to put Spotify through the car radio. It can't be too hard lol.

Take care and happy crafting :)

Oops slept in lol... But I did get up and put a parcel out to be collected from the door lol.
At this rate Ill be finished my breakfast at lunchtime lol I used to be a morning person. Thats changed lol.

Have an achy thumb and finger this morning. but I did get a lot of crochet done. It will work out once I start again hopefully.

Congrats on your GD arriving Mica... I only ever knew one person with a birthday in August and now its 11. With 4 being on the 22nd and 2 on the 24th. And one on the 23rd so 7 over 3 days.

Will be crocheting again later... its growing nicely, I love it when you see something growing.. I have yesterdays ends to sew ibn first tho. My eyes were so gritty last night that I left it for the daylight.

morning ladies :) Omg mica, I missed that bit about your GD arriving! Congratulations to you all, I bet you can't wait to hold her.

Another day of high cloud and calm. It's weird, feels like you are in between grey and colour.

Today I'm going to weed along the roadside, it won't take long to do and it will be done for spring. My daffs have finished so I can move the pot they are in to the back of the garden to let them die down but my little Star of Bethlehems are flowering like crazy. The first flower appeared the day my sister-in-law passed away.

I'm pretty much up to the Dalmatian's ear now so it will be finished soon.
This is what I've done so far. I need to work on his eye so he doesn't look quite so startled.

Morning ladies,
Thanks KM I am looking forward to meeting GD made me cry cause she has my name as her middle name totally unexpected.
KM your dalmatian is just lovely you are talented with your needle and threads.
Felt like we had a baby last night DD big k9 decided he was on guard and had us up 3x so a bit weary this morning. I am sure my morning espresso will perk me up for the morning walk.
Made DH and I new mask each yesterday and finished piecing the scrappy quilt top. Today will look at stash for a backing fabric so I can start quilting.
Finished charity cardi last night ran out of wool with 3 rows to do on neck so had to use different wool not too obvious according to DH. So new cardi on the needles for a good friends DD whose baby due in October.
So keep your bobbins spinning and enjoy your day

I have been on my own this lockdown so finding it hard, dropped some activities off to Violet last week with social distancing but it upset her that she couldn't have a cuddle.

Kiwimade he is Beautiful. You might find his eye looks right when he is finished. I woudlnt touch it just yet. I like it how it is. Will be quieter on the road side for you too.

Here was me being a sook and annoyed at not being able to see MrP on our Anniversary, Not being able to see new babies is far harder Im sure.

Im over half way on the Blanket. I got one of the others out. I do 7 blocks of 3 colours plus two rounds of the dark on the edge. And Ive done four Blocks so far. Ohh my thumb was sore yesterday, I gave up in the end , but will be back on it today.

I have to pop up the road and get a few things for MrP and drop those off. Then Ill be home to my hook.

URGENT HELP PLEASE - Good morning. I am new to this and wonder if there is anyone on this thread who could provide me with a SIMPLE knitting pattern for 4ply ribbed baby singlet? I have googled and found a few but, as an amateur, once I get to the arms/neck I get confused. Also, I do not have circular needles.
My d-i-l is due to have a baby next month and I need to quickly knit some singlets as she is unable to get to the shops due to lockdown and all online singlets are too big sizes. Thank you.

morning ladies :) Welcome lindyloue and brenda007 and congratulations on the impending new arrival :)

It's supposed to rain today, as long as it's warmer, I don't care. Yesterday was freezing so no gardening for me. The weeds along the roadside live for another day.

I'll do some housework today and then work more on my Dalmatian. I've started his ear and am working from the bottom up. Thank you for your kind words about it, this is the first time I'll be giving away an original piece so am pretty nervous about it.

The Furry One is bashing my leg with his rope telling me he wants to play. He doesn't play for long now as he's getting older but insists we play in the morning. He has me well trained.

Stay safe and happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Ive been over and done my blood, one thing off the list. Walked in and it was two of our Ladies from here so they know where to get the blood etc lol.

It has cooled down here this morning, so Im wrapped up warm.

I still have very sore fingers but Im going to make myself crochet today. Im hoping using them will keep them working as they say use them or Lose them. Im not ready to have crippled fingers yet.

Yesterday I spoke to the manager at the home about MrP's blanket and the damage. she understands a little more as to why he was so upset etc. No apology or anything tho. But she understood when I said if any of them touch the new one I would Skin them alive.

Unfortunately Im not allowed to take any more supplies into the home either, Head office beefed up the rules. So MrP wont get his blanket until we have dropped a level at least either.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) It looks like we're in for a few wet days so no excuses not to craft :)

I belong to a NZ quilting group and omg the ladies sew some fabulous quilts. I don't know how some manage to spend most of the day at their machines, there's only MrK and I and I still don't get to spend whole days at a time sewing.

Yesterday I almost finished the Dalamtian's ear. Well the black background anyway. So a good push today should see his ear finished. I was stitching while watching the Para Olympics and waiting for Jacinda's announcement. Wow, just wow is all I can say. Even MrK is more keen to watch this than the able bodied Olympics.

Stay safe and happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

I knew it had rained overnight by the tempt not the sound. I may have to thin the blankets down.. that of course will bring a late cold spell lol.

MrP and I were talking about the games last night.. Man the power those boys on the wheelchairs attack each other is amazing lol... But to me so far the Guy that got 2nd in the backstroke without arms has to be the best... He must have some awesome power in his torso and legs.

I crochet on and off yesterday.. and now that it will be at least another 2 weeks before lockdown is considered Ill take my time and hopefully that will ease the pain especially in my thumb.. I've had aches but this lot is narly to say the least lol.... I've learnt my lesson.

This morning Im going to get into the sewing room. Time to cull some of the stuff I was going to make things from but never have. I want to empty one large Sistema to be able to put all my ribbons in. Ill be able to see them and just that alone will bring me joy. As well as not having to look through several places to find the one I want.

I'll put what I wont keep aside for a friends friend who does brownies, so It will get used.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) A wet day today so another day crafting after I have finished my list of things to do first. Yesterday I managed to get most of the washing dry outside and it was so warm, we've turned the heat pump off. It was the first night in ages we haven't had it on.

I've finished my Dalmatian. So, I'd like to introduce you to Dex, a very good family friend's dog. She was wonderful taking Dex and my sister-in-law's dog for walks while she was so ill. Nothing was too much trouble for her and this is my thank you to her.

I need to wash, iron and lace it onto a board but that will have to wait until the levels drop and I can buy a board. I'm very happy with the end result and hope she likes it. This is my first original piece I will be giving away and am nervous as heck lol.

Stay safe and happy crafting :)

Good Morning everyone

Dex is Wonderful Kiwimade, you can be very proud of yourself it is Wonderful. Im sure he will be totally adored.

Ohh Noo Mica.. norty dog. They know when they have messed up bigtime.. Taken a leave of his senses...

I am lucky cos Ive trained all our fur babies not to touch wool. But oddly Missy got home of one of my wool crepe I was crocheting the hottie cover out of. That was in a bag behind a curtain... Didn't touch the ball of acrylic which had been sitting out the whole time. Maybe she only likes quality lol.

Felt like a big sook this morning. 6am the pain in my fingers woke me up. I could barely get the pills out of the plastic but took an Oxy, for fingers, I only did 3 rounds last night and they are soo blardy sore. Its rediculous. I am thankful they dont look lumpy and swollen to much tho.

it wont stop me tho, I have to finish the blanket, but Im kinda thankful that lockdown is longer so it gives me more time. Even typing is hurting them.grr

I have a habit of grabbing odd rolls of ribbons if I see them in oppies.. OMG I had no idea I had so many lol I need to stop lol.

Have a fab day everyone

Kiwimade love you work with Dex l had a Dalmatian whose spots were very similar l no how different each spot can be. I love Dalmatians but the amount of fur they shed is incredible. My next dogs were all hairless Chinese crested and there drawback was blackheads and sunburn. I lost my last dog 5 years ago and miss having a fur baby. This lockdown is very hard with being on my own so used to having Violet half the week it is to quiet. I hope we don't have to do 2 weeks of L4.

morning ladies :) Thank you for your comments about 'Dex' :) I washed him yesterday and he is looking a little wrinkled lol.

I'm sorry mica, but I had to laugh at your naughty dog, that is one way to get your attention lol. Our boy has done that as well years ago and still occasionally takes off with a shoe. He does with a wag in his tail to let you know he wants to play.

Huntlygirl, I hope you are OK. I bet you miss your dogs. I know what you mean by shedding lol. Our boy is a Jack Russell and he is always shedding too. I think dogs can shed more than cats! I was thinking about your kiwi the other day, do they still come to visit?

The suns out and we are meant to get rain but I'll believe that when I see it. Today I'll have another go at weeding the roadside garden, it shouldn't take long to do. Yesterday I basted a few more hexagons so maybe this afternoon while watching the Para Olympics I can sew some together. I was going to make some fancy-nancy pattern with them but have decided to randomly sew them. I don't do random very well as I found out when stitching the white on Dex's ears so this is my challenge to myself.

Stay safe and don't forget to check in with whanau and friends. Happy crafting :)

Hi everyone,
Know what you mean about random KM. That was my challenge with the scrappy quilt I have just made. I put all the bits in paper bag and pulled them out. I did allow a change if two the same landed together. It was very hard not to fiddle and move blocks but its done.
DH also laughed re wool and big k9, his penance was to unravel the tangle lol.
No plans for today but will vacuum the sewing cave a project might leap out at me.
Knitted a hat to go with cardi will do some booties tonight.
Have good day

Morning everyone

Aren't animals just the best even when they are norty. Cant help but laugh at them... The thing I dont understand is people who give a dog an old shoe to chew then get angry when they "Kill" a good one.. They dont know the difference lol.

Im another one who cant do random... it just does my head in . When I do a granny square blanket I lay them out on a bed and "organise' them till I have it right. Then I pack them up into seperate bags. So they still arne't random .

Ohh Mica I love Un-tangling things. wool, chains, fishing nylon, so long as the last one isnt smelly lol.

Huntlygirl I was thinking about you the other day, usually when I see the advert with the Kiwi that goes inside. do you still see or hear it?

Yesterday was a right off. Poor sleep pain and a warfarin flat battery. I went back to bed to thaw out and get some sleep at 11am, and woke up at 2pmish...
Ive called the drs this morning to get some more pain meds.. I hate taking the big pills but at the mo I need them. Ill have to ask someone to pick them up for me cos I doubt I could even drive safely the way my hands are.

Our 30th (Pearl) wedding anniversary today... feels kinda numb in a way, as much as the amount of bad stuff we have had, we have had alot of happy too and I just want to see him. I try and remind myself that Mum was wrong and that feels really good. A lot said we would never last... they didnt know how strong and determined I am .

I might see if I can hold the crochet hook today, even just for a few stitches.

Have a fab day everyone
