Morning everyone

It was two silvers Kiwimade, I think.. both in the cycling. The young lady couldn't stop crying she was soo happy lol

Its dark here wet and windy. I dont have to go out so that's a bonus. I am going to gather a few more things to sell.. there's half price selling on here tomorrow too so good timing for me.

Met a lady I have spoken to a lot on FB yesterday, she arrived just as Lisa Carrington's race was starting so we watched that first lol

I Agree with you re the covid shot Kiwimade, I felt very proud to have had the first one and a sense of achievement when Id had the second one.
I know two people who wont have them and while I respect their choice, I kind of feel like I dont know if I want to hug them, one is my brother.

Have a fab day everyone

Afternoon Everyone Hope everyone is well and warm. We had some great weather during the week. Today the temp is down to 11 here and overcast. Going to light the fire as the temp going down. Pulled out my needles on a baby blanket, Start again...
So over C19, after yesterday had my second one mid-morning, came home had a coffee and a bite to eat as was well and headed over to an op shop in Taradale. Picked out lunches headed out the door next thing I was half on my back and side on the path. A nurse came over to me and the guy inside came out with a glass of water and helped me up. After tea, I knew something was not right. Rang the helpline and they send St Johns out. Temp was ok Blood pressure was high. The three stayed with me as I did not want to go over to Hospital for about 30 mins.

You must be happy with what you did with tablemats Kiwimade. Good time to do some handcraft with games on.
Popeye, Hope everything going well for you. Must check out what you are selling in TM.
Time for me to check out and make a hot drink..Cheers.

morning ladies :) The day is starting out sunny but the weather is meant to turn nasty later.

Here's the pics of the tablemats. The first is what they were originally and the second with them resized, re-embroidered across the tops and padded.

I've been thinking about some vintage tablecloths I have of mums that she never used. I've never used them either as we don't have the formal morning or afternoon teas anymore but I haven't had the heart to give them away. For a year or so now I've thought they would make gorgeous quilts but have been reluctant to cut them. But now I think I will start planning the best way to use them in a quilt. I could make two, one for my sister and one for me. It's just a thought at this stage.

Time to get cracking.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

They are lovely Kiwimade and much more usable now. I like the idea of turning the table cloths into quilts.. Memory Quilts too.

The Home rang last night, MrPs bloods weren't good, they sent him to hospital, and they rang a short while ago he's getting a blood transfusion his haemoglobin is 65 where it should be 100+.. So Topping up his oil is how he would describe it.. and I said to the Dr so he will be there a few days while they poke and Prod him to find out where he is losing the blood, and in her Lovely Scottish Accent she said that was a good way of describing it lol.

Ive decided to pop out for a wee while, while the oppy and recycle centre have a sale on, and see what is available.

Im tempted to pop over to Pukekohe and have a look in the new Chemist Warehouse that recently opened, but Ill think about that for a bit.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning all,
Kiwimade good transformation of the tablemats.
A dew people sue old lace and embroidered tablecloths in quilts one person that springs to mind is Cindy Needham, I am sure you will find plenty of inspiration online.
I managed to do an hour or so quilting yesterday interrupted by my sewing buddy and BFF so we had a good natter.
Today is laundry, and looking after DD two dogs who are lets say very active :)
Anyway I want to get the quilting finished it then I can get the binding done and off my work list. It's a jinxed piece of work!
Have a good day

mica3 - 2021-08-07 09:36:00
17356

morning ladies :) Another blustery day here today, I think.

I checked out Cindy Needham and her work is gorgeous, mica. I can only wish to be that good. I bet you will be pleased to finish that 'jinxed' piece. Every now and then we have something jinxed just to try us!

It's the last day for the Olympics and I know some will be cheering it's all over (MrK, I'm looking at you lol) but I really enjoyed it. I loved watching the less known sports like the climbing (wow, just wow!) and the more familiar sport like gymnastics. I was in two minds about athletes going but am pleased we got to see it happen now.

Today is another indoor day (sigh...) and I'll be working on my hexagons. I need new thimbles so will look out for a good quality one. But first I have the ironing and a few other things to do around the house.

happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Yes I understand about Jinxed things lol. Im too stubborn to let them sit tho. I remember years ago in the sewing factories my Boss wanted me to learn how to put collars on shirts.. I used to get soo dam frustrated, to the point of tears, She would say Stop you can do something else. But I wouldn't stop, it wasn't an option for my head. lol
The same with the blind hemmer in the first factory I worked in here, I was the only one barring one of the supervisors that could use it, and she didn't like it much either lol.. They didn't take orders that needed blind hemming often lol
I had a nice few hours out yesterday, I got a towel to cut up for the hot water bottle cover, but have decided I quite like it so will use one we already have lol.. Just as well I got it from the clearance section in the warehouse lol.

I have enjoyed the games and will miss them... Loved the races up the walls but you daren't blink or you missed them.. 6 seconds for 10 meters.. crazy lol..

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Our power went off last evening around 5.00pm and was back on just after 11.00pm. We think someone took out a power pole. What an awful night for the linesmen to be working. So we had dinner by candle light and I played music from my Spotify account on my phone lol. Luckily we have a camp cooker for these emergencies and there was water in the kettle and fridge. (No power = no water here). The Furry One was a bit confused but settled quickly.

So needless to say there was no crafting last evening but I did manage to cut out more fabric ready for basting onto the templates in the afternoon. I also unpicked a vintage pillow case mum had. It's gorgeous linen fabric with navy blue flowers against a cream background with navy and cream striped fabric across the opening. It measured 1.5 meters by 50cm so a reasonable amount. I have some ideas on what to use it for but need to be sure before taking the scissors to it.

Happy crafting :)

Morning all
It is certainly cold I braved the hail and went to the gym one way to warm up.
Finished jinxed quilt yesterday so pleased with that now I can plan another. When I look at I see the not so good bits and recall the frustration DH likes it .
Got to go hunt for food at the supermarket and then give DD a ride to an appt
That pillow case sounds lovely KM I will look forward to seeing what you transform it into

Morning Everyone

Tis a chilly one here this morning.

Phones are soo handy, so long as they are charged up lol.. but at least enough torch to find the torches and candles lol.

MrP is off his rocker again. He got the nurse to ring me, to ask if I would ring straight away ( 30 minutes before my normal time).. And he wanted me to go up and get the Corned beef that they had dished him up, it was way too much and he didn't want to waste it. The nurse thought it was funny, I said we hate food waste... And he got angry cos I wouldn't go up, and hung up on me.
I'm guessing he is scared the mental health team in, so wanted a way to leave. Not a good way of doing it.

He also says the DRs told him he could come back home after he leaves, and doesn't need to go to the rest home. So that upset me and I've made sure that the drs are told, and I've asked that they ring me as well.

Needless to say yesterday was horrible.

The pillowcase sounds lovely Kiwimade Im sure you will find something cool to do with it. Its amazing how much fabric is in a pillowcase eh.

I have a few things to get done so I better get cracking.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies Hope everyone is well and staying warm and dry. After some warm dry weather, it's now turned back to being cold and wet. Finished a Baby Blanket after a few starts. Now can tick that off.

Kiwimade, what a great way to update your mother's handwork so that it be passed on to younger members of the family.
I have a lot of my mothers work as well. Just got back a piece of mother's Hairpin work that a local lady has mended for me.
I have a heap of fabric some given to me to make some bags. Had a look at some patterns over the w/end. It keeps me busy for a few weeks.

Popeye hope you are staying warm and dry. How is the painting going? I got myself a small picture, but have not started it so far.
Good to hear you are getting out and about when you want to.

Mica, I like the sound of your sewing cave. I have a room off my lounge and use that as my craft room. Hoping to set up my loom again once I have sorted out the carshed. It has all my wool, fabric and other bites in the back part of the shed.
We only have Spotlight for fabric here in The Bay. There are a couple of stores that stock fabric for patchwork and wool.
Time for me to move now as I am off to lunch with friends.
Have a great day and enjoy your crafting/sewing.

Morning all, cold one here today too, have had two lots of hail so far, my partner heard snow down to 200 metres, our hill road is 195 metres, and he is over the other side for work, could be interesting.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1588680213.jpg Finished this over the weekend, first time using 2 ply, and also first time using a 2mm hook, for the sleeves.

Having a cuppa so thought I would pop back in. Our daughter phoned and said Whanganui is cut off from the upper North Island as the whole of the Central Plateau is snowed in. Thought we had snow close by as I could 'feel' it in the wind.

Tim6, that is a lovely, snuggly singlet. It feels weird doesn't it, going from a double knit down to 2 ply.

MrK is making a box to put his sister's ashes in. She asked him to do it as well as put her casket together. She bought that as a flat pack! Just shows pretty much anything can be flat packed these days!

Time to move and get a bit more done.

Well that was Interesting.

I managed to get the receptionists knickers in a twist and she got stroppy.. In front of the Manager. They wouldn't take my money, and I told them that wasnt the point In wanted to know what it was for when I was given the prices.

One of the nurses came out to the car when I left, she had already had a problem with the receptionist this morning.. Maybe she got out of bed on the wrong side. it will be interesting to see if there will be an apology when I go up next time.
Cant get hold of MrP he was in the bathroom, but Im thinking the drs may be with him as they were due. he wont be happy cos I didn't ring at our normal time... ohh well life is tough lol

Our wind is very cold, no snow to blame it on lol...

17365

morning ladies :) Cold this morning with a frost but it is going to be a gorgeous day. In the wee hours I heard a possum venturing over the fence but so did the Furry One lol. I don't think it will be back for a while. He shot out of bed, hooned down the hallway, raced through the doggy door at 100kph lol and chased it off.

Dam popeye, I hope you get things sorted with the receptionist.

Today I need to recharge the power banks I use if I need to charge our phones during power cuts. I meant to do it yesterday but forgot. I keep one in the house and another in the car as they are so handy. I also use one with the light box as I can then use the light box anywhere without it being hooked up to the computer.

I have finally used all of my wool stash. I need to buy three, maybe four more balls to finish the blanket. It's taken pretty much all winter but I'm finally nearing the end of this blanket. Can't wait to have it completed.

Yesterday afternoon I finished another hexagon, now I'm starting to think about what colour to join them with. I'll keep sewing more and build up a decent pile while I mull it over.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Its a stunning day with a good frost.

What a day it was.. MrP wouldn't answer the phone and admitted he was ignoring me, which I thought he was so I kept ringing until he picked up. He's annoyed he isn't coming home. but will have to get over it.
He doesnt remember asking me to go up to get the meat. And he told me he had had 5 bags of blood, but its only been 3.
He had an endoscopy yesterday and is having a colonoscopy today, so they are hunting the blood down. Hopefully he will be in a better mood today.

I spoke to his nurse last night and she told me to ring if I hadnt heard from a dr by 11 this morning.. So I will be.

Yesterday I went down to the beach that we used to live near, they have upgraded the walking tracks etc and now have a Jetty that goes quite a way out into the water. I imagine the kids will love diving off it.. But If MrP behaves Id like to take him down there for a picnic on our wedding anniversary on the 30th.. 30 long years lol. not that Im telling him anything yet. lol

Well done on getting through your stash Kiwimade, I have days more often now thinking I should downsize mine. but I did it once before and ended up buying more,, at the start of this thread lol.

Lol Mica, I hate vacuuming but still think Id rather do that, than be outside in the cold.. What sort of dogs do you have?

Missy didnt want to get out of bed this morning, and I dont blame her, but she has an area between MrPs chair and a window that gets the first sun, so she is snuggled in there..

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) It's an early start for us this morning as I'm taking MrK to Rotorua so he can spend time with his sister. She's fading fast, sadly, so we are thinking she has only a few days, if that, left. I'll take my hexagons with me as I'm hand sewing those and it's something quiet I can do in between everything else. I have a batch of cheese muffins cooking and there's some pumpkin soup defrosting on the bench. We never like to turn up empty handed.

Muffins should be done by now, better move as I don't want them to be tough.

Happy crafting.

Ohh not good Kiwimade, but for her not to be suffering is a blessing in disguise. Travel safely.

I had a day from hell yesterday, with the nurses hanging up on me and everything. today I have support and will be ringing them again Shortly... I know Im not safe to drive up so I have to be a pest on the phone if I have to.

Evening, sad times KM.
Hope you had a better day today Popeye.

Took DH to appt this morning while driving home the istop on the car started flashing seems when battery low the car computer switches off the unnecessary stuff so off to car service for new battery very quick took 25 mins. Took my knitting to do while I waited.
Finished quilting eyespy quilt just need to cut out and sew the binding on thats tomorrow afternoons job.

morning ladies :) Well, it was a weird feeling saying goodbye to my sister-in-law yesterday knowing it is more than likely my very last good bye to her. MrK and I put her casket together before I left, he found that very difficult to do emotionally. I held the sides while he did the glueing and putting in the screws. I was there more for emotional support than anything. And I must admit, it was quite sobering. But he did it as she asked him too.

Today I'm having my first Covid jab, MrK's appointment had to be cancelled for now and I will sort that out when everything else has settled down. And just as I had wrangled for both of us to be done together lol.

I think I'll just potter about today, my hearts not really into anything at the moment.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
((Hugs))) KM I am sure Mr K sister gets some comfort knowing that her brother did the work.
Volunteer morning today hopefully get the binding on the quilt then I might be free to sew something for me. On my project list is to clone my nice good fitting bras.
Started knitting a cabled beanie for DGS yesterday have sized up the pattern that I have used since he was 3 months old. I like knitting using 4 ply.
Have used the pattern with DK for DD and DIL so could say its a family favourite

Did MrK stay over with his Sister Kiwimade? It will come to be an honour of being able to make her casket. Who better than her brother.

I had another shit day yesterday, worse than the day before. I feel like Im going nuts. Losing it big time, But I did ring this morning and very quietly and calmly asked them to get the dr to ring me.

morning ladies :) hang in there popeye, it can be a rough road sorting our old guys out at times!

MrK is still in Rotorua, family and hospice are popping in and out regularly and he's doing things around the house to keep busy. He's done something to his phone and now it won't work even to take calls which is frustrating for both of us but he can borrow one to keep in touch.

I had my first covid jab yesterday and it was so quick and efficient. Didn't even feel the needle go in and no side effects at all. My arm's a little tender this morning but no biggie.

Housework today, I need to stop moping about and keep busy. I've semi-prepared some fabric for another embroidery and will see how it goes. I'm attempting another dog portrait, so wish me luck lol.

Time to move and get on with the day.

happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

It sure is a rough ride Kiwimade.. my only advice is get things sorted very early.
Ohh men and their phones lol.. but they need to make them bigger too for bigger fingers lol

He was trying to drink the stuff to clear him out for his colonoscopy last night.. a lot of fluid for one who never used to drink much at all lol.. he now has a flash bed and sleeping on air to prevent pressure sores, cos he's not allowed out of bed. They have found he doesnt have any cartiladge in his joints either.. yet another thing he has realised how bad it has been for me.

His nephew/son sent him a t-shirt so Im going to take it up to the home and get them to name it and hang it on his wardrobe door so he can see it when he gets home. It has Love NZ fishing and a marlin on it. MrP will love it. It will be interesting to see what happens at the desk.

I have to get some milk etc so need to go out.

I dont want any more days like its been this week.. I was very very low.

Do some craft for me everyone, I'm certainly not getting anything done lol.

Have a fab day

Good Morning Everyone. Yes, I have been very low the last week or so. They have now put on the medical records that I need to have someone with me if I need any other covid jabs for the next 48 hours or longer.
Had second fall after the second one and my hip is black and blue on one side. I ' m feeling very down. Have been knitting baby blankets for a local group and using up odd balls of wool. Very overcast here today and cool.

Popeye Let your friend go along with you to see Mr P. I can understand your feelings towards the staff etc. Just take one day at a time and let family and friends help you. Call on them if you have to.

Kiwimade, been thinking of you and hope everything goes well for you both. It's good Mr K can be there and I'm sure he has been very helpful.
Well it time for me to move now I have had a cuppa .It's very overcast, time to check the woodbox,so I can have a fire .
Hope everyone can spend time crafting today.

morning ladies :) It's a pretty foggy morning this morning but I'm going outside to trim the lawn edges and mow anyway. One thing with MrK not here, I can get outside early without him saying it's too cold for you out there lol. I'll take some panadol before I do though as a month ago I pulled my thigh muscle and it still hurts. I have some rubbish to burn as well but will wait for the fog to lift before doing that.

Yesterday afternoon I sewed some of the main colour to my hexagons just to see how it would turn out. And so far, so good. Today I'll take a deep breath and start on the doggy portrait I was going to start yesterday.

MrK phoned yesterday to give me an update on his sister. He's going to stay now until the end and will be the chief cook and bottle washer. It's so important they all be together. The Furry One still watches for him so I can only imagine the welcome he'll get when he comes home.

Time is marching on, better do dishes before I head outside.

Happy crafting :)

I think its wise that MrK stays now Kiwimade..

its funny but nice how they want us to stay warm etc, they feel the cols so we should be too... Mind you I will say I am again this winter with adding the aspirin.. If forgotten my first warfarin winter, thankfully by next winter it wont be so noticable lol.

A stunning day here but there is a bit of wind out there.

Im still very sore but I need to get the bones moving, I think thats part of the problem this week so will potter around and get a few things done. I need to sort through some stuff and have a garage sale at some point.. so I need to get cracking on that. It wont do itself lol.

Morning everyone
Such sad news Kiwimade, but yes she is no longer suffering or in pain. I only had one Sister in law by blood and our birthdays were 2 days apart plus the years. We were close too.

A good day to sit and enjoy your memories.

Im going to get the silverbeet etc out of the freezer that I dont eat and put that out with the rubbish. And Im going to go through my jars and put them up on FB . I wont be making massive amounts of jam or preserves now. And those that dont go Ill take up to the oppy.

I made the cushion yesterday. I was sitting there playing cards and thought, Get off ya butt and do something. Trouble is now, I really like it cos its looks nice on our couch lol.. Oh well it only cost $1 plus labour so Ill keep it .

I enjoyed doing it too, so I have to be more strict with myself. And make myself do things or all of a sudden Ill be 80 and still playing cards with a mountain of wool and fabric lol.

Have a fab day all

Hi all. Just filling in time really, waiting for the kids to come home. I've been talking to MrK and he sounds happier now that they can do things. It was the waiting that was the hardest for him. The funeral is tomorrow, family only, and MrK will stay on a few days longer to help one of his other sisters pack everything up. It's the way my sister-in-law wanted it. Her casket looks amazing, it certainly pays to have an artist in the family. All painted with native birds and bush scenes.

Jbsouthland and popeye, thank you for your kind words. JB, you don't need an invite to join us, just but in! You are more than welcome :)

Might put the kettle on and actually drink the tea this time.

Morning everyone

Travel Safe Kiwimade, and I hope there are lots of good memories shared.

I got the dress out that I got from the oppy a while ago. My plan is to undo it nearly totally. Taking off the sleeves, collar and undoing the yoke. Then I will use the fabric from the sleeves and just put a band around the top and straps making into a pinafore , just as a house saggy dress. Theres also plenty of length, it nearly reaches the floor on me.

But who ever made it had a very tight tension on their machine and instead of overlocking they have zig zagged the seams together. I'm cutting off the zig zagging only taking a smidge off. It took two hours to take out one sleeve and take the elastic out of the bottom and undo the seam lol.... But I will get there. Im stubborn enough for things not to get on top of me.

Hopefully MrP will have his colonoscopy today. he told them last night after 4 days of liquid only and one very sore bottom he couldnt drink anything more.. And I cant blame him for that.

Have a fab day everyone

So sorry for your loss kiwimade, glad Mr K could be with her.
Popeye, hope the colonoscopy goes ahead today.

Got a bit of gardening done Saturday, which was good. Have been working on a scarf for my second youngest, hoping to post it to them next week, making sure it’s really long, fun rainbow colours.

morning ladies :) The funeral went well, yesterday. Nothing formal, just family gathering around the casket sharing memories and talking about her before she was lowered. It was like a big family conversation and was the way she wanted it.

Today I'll potter about, I bought MrK's phone home with me and will pop into Vodafone to see what's what. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and nor could our daughter. MrK will come home tomorrow, he wants to stay with his other sister for now to support her as she will feel the loss the most.

I've started embroidering the dog portrait and so far I'm happy with it. Last evening I unpicked a bit twice so put it down. I think I was too tired to stitch and I shouldn't have even attempted it. I'll have another go today some time.

I hope MrP has his procedure today, that's a very long wait while on liquids only.

Washing machine is finished, it's time to greet the day. The suns out for for how long, heaven knows.

Happy crafting :)

No sewing yesterday fur grand pups in the morning and th DGS in the afternoon. I am now knitting a boy bunny as he wanted to know why there was only a girl one sitting next to my knitting box.

Morning everyone

Sounds like a perfect funeral Kiwimade... a nice way to do it. Neither of us are having a funeral. Something we decided ohh 30ish years ago.

I to have a hubby with a problem phone, the problem being a nurse dropped it and now its not working.. So he will have to live without it, until he gets back here and I can have a look..

Fingers crossed he is done today or they will have a very grumpy man on their hands. Its highly likely as he said he didnt want to drink any more of the prep stuff. So it will be his own fault.

I got the dress undone yesterday, so now I have to plan how I want to do it. I have an idea how I want to do it. Just need to work out with the fabric. I want it as long as possible. I could simply hem the top and put some elastic in it, but Id rather have it with a waistband type top with straps.

Sore today so Ive doped up and hopefully it will ease soon.

Be careful if you do travel Mica.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Welcome back, Level 4. Hopefully this hard and fast approach will do the trick. We can't end up like Aussie :(

Our daughter phoned last night very relieved she had made it home and saying how lucky we were to have my sister-in-law's funeral when we did. She must have known something <3

MrK is coming home today, he was planning to anyway. He wanted to come home last night but he doesn't see very well driving at night and it was bucketing down with rain. Top that with the couple of beers he had had and driving this morning was a no brainer. Boy the traffic was heavy last night but at midnight, it just stopped. Hopefully we can all play by the rules and beat this outbreak.

Three days of being home.... hmmm... what can I do? lol. Looks like it's embroidery or sewing for me guilt free... stay home, save lives, I can do that lol.

Happy crafting and stay safe, everyone.

Morning everyone

Here we go Again lol... I will say Im very pleased the person was scanning... you see soo Many who dont.

You were lucky to have your sister in laws funeral on Monday, it was meant to be

MrP had his colonoscopy yesterday, they didn't find anything, so he is being transported back to the home today.... And This lockdown means I cannot visit him... he wont be impressed.. Its 2 weeks tomorrow since I saw him.
And his Mobile is apparently broken so I will only be able to call him on the house phone. Its not going to be a joyful day when he is told. They told me last night they will explain it to him ..

Hopefully my lab lady has left me a message on FB as to if our local lab is open or not. Otherwise I will have to make a trip to Pukekohe.... I should have done it on Monday but couldnt be bothered lol

I didnt do any craft yesterday, I dont when I have taken an oxy.. its asking for trouble lol... So I will have a looky today.

Have a fab day everyone

Good morning ladies (and others)
Sorry to read about your SIL kiwimade...and also sorry about the issues you are having with Mr P, popeye.
Well, lockdown time again!! A good thing, me thinks. Mr C needed a break from work as he will be a pensioner in another year....but building is quite a physical job. I have spent the morning making a BIG pumpkin into soup(cooking is my hobby...haha) so MrC and I will look like pumpkins before long. He wont be able to go and see his 97 year old mother in the rest home. She doesnt have a mobile and using the landline there is hopeless.
I will miss my 2 grand girls here....baby is 4 weeks old today, and her due date is today. She is just adorable and soooooooooo tiny still...just over 5 lbs. Her big sister turned 6 the day Tessa was released from the NICU, and she is such a proud big sister. My son drives by here during lockdown with Miss 6 so we can yell greetings to her :-) They like coming over for mums baking and soup...

Yes mica it’s why we have stashes, asked my daughter last night if she wanted to go for a last minute trip to the warehouse, we both have heaps to get through, luckily.

I truly hope this is under control soon, and that those who get it get well soon.

MrK is home and omggg do we have one very happy Furry One! He's been gone a week but you would think by the Furry One's reaction he had been gone for months lol.

I've been working on my doggy portrait this morning, enjoying the quiet time before MrK came home. So far so good! It's a Dalmation and will be a thank you gift to my sister-in-law's friend who walks her dog for her, even now, after she has passed away. Nose and snout almost done and I can't wait to stitch his ear. Thank goodness for crafting.

morning ladies :) Foggy, frosty, and sunny here this morning although it is meant to rain this afternoon. Seeing as we can't go anywhere, I'm going to give the car a thorough clean today.

I'm still embroidering the Dalmatian but when I looked at his face last night, I realised I had stitched the three black spots on his face the wrong way round. So I'll unpick that little bit and redo it today. It won't take long to do.

I hope everyone is enjoying their crafting time during lockdown. Let's make the most of being at home again.

happy crafting :)

Morning all
Completed both bunny arms and head last night. Will start on dungarees tonight.
NZPost has lost a pattern I bought in Aussie so frustrating as it is an out of print pattern.
Will be sewing reusable wipes today after I have collected the weekly grocery shop
Off to sit on NZPost 0800 number I have to say the Australia Post more user friendly and responsive.
Have a good day evetyone

Morning everyone.
Crisp and sunny here now. And quite Chilly..

Ohh Kiwimade not good re the dots.. But I understand why you will undo them. Cos we cant handle things doing our heads in like that.

Funny you should mention the car I was thinking this morning ours needs a jolly good tidy up. But Im sore today so it wont be happening today.

I have to pop up to the supermarket this morning and then be home to pop some pills lol..

Ive decided I might put the spare bed rail on my bed so I can stuff a pillow between it and me to stop me from rolling onto my back, which is why my spine and hips hurt so much... I swear its Missy doing it cos she sleeps on my side, hanging over the back a bit in the crook of my arm and I reckon she makes me roll over.... Its worth a try to help prevent this pain.

Looking for ideas Ladies. In my mission for looking for the right colour ribbons over the years I have amassed a rather good collection. But I'm trying to decide how to store them . Id like to see them as bright colours always cheer me up. I plan to ditch some of my craft stashes of stuff I Thought I would do but never have. So Since its senseless listing things as delivery may get harder with lockdown Ill have a sort session.

MrP landed back yesterday.. He has a horrible cold and was tested for Covid, but is negative... His old friend John passed away while he was away so that upset him... but as soon as he walked into his room he noticed his blanket wasn't in the room. It was the second crochet blanket I made, we got the wool with money from his mothers estate so he always said it was his Mother's and my Love wrapping him up. So I rang the home last night and asked them to find it...or they were going to have one Very Angry man... I hope they haven't washed it, cos I gave them strict instructions Not to. That I would do it. They need to be thankful that I cant visit.

Have a fab day everyone.. Stay safe and well.
