Popeye that's no good wishing you a speedy recovery.
Left Kerikeri at 4 am on Sunday so arrived in time for breakfast. Spent the day with 2 of my kids, 4 grandkids and spouses and my 2 great brandies got to bath them and lots of cuddles. My granddaughter is unwell so l establishing a good routine while she rests l adore all babies so l am in my element. I am thinking of going back to fostering but only taking babies.
At least it was warm Tues l was frozen on Mon and called the man to repair the dad heater to keep baby warm.
Went and saw the doco called James and Isey l enjoyed it there were only 4 people.

morning ladies :) Ahh damit popeye. Not good at all. On the bright side, at least you were able to call the ambulance. If this keeps going you may need one of those alarms around your neck! MrP is just going to have to do without you for a few days. He'll be grumpy but it's not about him at the moment. It's about taking care of you.

Last evening I finished the box! I'm over the moon with it and the lid fitted lol. I measured it twice using the maths diameter x pii and then the tape measure around it so knew it would fit. There was always that niggly feeling though. So.... ta dah! All hand stitched except for a couple of pieces I had to overlock. I probably could have gotten away with that but I needed to be sure.

The embroidery is a Trish Burr design. I love her designs, they are whimsy and fun to stitch.

Fingers crossed the weather fines up so I can plant my new rose. I'll be pruning roses over the next few fine days.

Happy crafting :)

Oh Kiwimade the box is BEAUTIFUL.
Knitting another baby cardi white this time and a size down. Also in the queue is a baby quilt binding waiting to be hand stitched down.

Kiwimade absolutely stunning - what a beautiful family heirloom - have you put the date on it somewhere
Hope you are on the improve Popeye - let the resthome care for Mr P until you get back to a healthy state - my kids bought me an alarm that hangs around my neck - the 94 year old lady that was attacked here a week or two ago was able to press her alarm and get help
I have started another blanket a much smaller one grey and red my grandsons school colours - I haven’t had to buy any wool as I have plenty left from my previous project
Absolutely beautiful day here in the Bay after a cold start

Evening everyone and thank you for the kind wishes. Oh Kiwimade the box is stunning.. I'm sure your daughter will love it. And Grandie too. I have a St John medical alarm. When we got it for MrP years ago they asked did I want one. They said there might be a time when MrP isn't home and I would need it. 10 day's later I used it when I slipped on the garage floor that had flooded from the washing machine. The angiogram got postponed, and emergency came in while they were about to put a lure in. So maybe tomorrow. I feel fine. I've asked to see the social worker and get some support since I'm not getting any from MrP. He even thinks I want to talk to them about him again...... Our carer that looked after MrP is looking after the babies and Missy knows her so I know she is in safe hands. But I am missing her. Take care everyone and have a Fab day

Good Morning from Sunny Napier. Have been very low this week and just starting to pick up. I have a cage at the top of my neck and I have had a few falls. Having a second set of X-rays this weekend. Fingers crossed I get to see my Surgeon this coming week.
I have kept myself busy made orange honey as I have heaps on the trees.
Everyone is saying you are always busy, you never stop. I have finished washing the wool and material that got wet from downpour a couple of weeks again. Going to put the yarns into a Plastic bin. Not going to ball it just now. Taking one step at a time. just now.

Popeye sorry to hear you were in the hospital. You did the right thing. May need to have a bag packed and just keep it nearby. I have one that I check every couple of months or so.
I like the box you have finished Kiwimade. They are very handy to have. Love seeing your work.

Just had my gardens weeded and fresh soil. The two brothers who do my lawns are working on the gardens for me just now.
One has a family of two and a small section so he asked if he could put some veggie plants in the garden. Now I water it and pull out the odd weeds.
Time to hang out some washing as it's a lovely sunny warm day here.
Have a great day everyone.

morning ladies :) Thank you for the kind words about my sewing box. I'll pop a few bits and pieces in it to give her a head start and think I'll make a small pin box. I've found a spare tape measure our daughter can have and by chance, it's a bluey-teal colour lol. By the time she gets it, there should be a 'starter pack' of sewing tools for her.

We were heading to Rotorua to see MrK's sister when we had a call to say she had had a bad night so we turned around and came home. Better she has no visitors today. So I've done the housework instead, the weather is a bit 'iffy' for pruning roses.

Last evening I knitted a bit more of the memory blanket but am slowly but surely getting down to the 'knitty' gritty of my stash. Freeing up my stash gives me more space for other stuff so it's really a never ending thing.

Sunflowers, will you be sharing the vegies with this family? If so, what a lovely idea. You have the land, they have the muscle power lol. I hope you get to see your surgeon soon. Keeping busy though is a good thing, for both the body and the mind.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone. Still in hospital, I had the angiogram yesterday, been very lucky and no damage to the heart, I had a clot tho so they gave me my warfarin straight away. Waiting on bloods for my INR today and I may be able to go home. Wow Sunflowers you are having a time of it...an awesome idea re the garden tho. I normally do have a bag packed but let it slip. Kiwimade I like the idea of putting a few things into the box. I was lucky to inherit MrPs mothers sewing box it had heaps of older things in it. So I added the lace from my grandmother's wedding dress so have a memory section. Breakfast has just arrived so I will deal with that lol. Hope I do go home I miss my baby girl. Have a fab day everyone..

morning ladies :) Good to hear you are going home, popeye :)

I'm sitting here in tears as I've started completing a government survey for amending the adoption laws. As an adopted person, it's tough answering the questions but I feel I have to have my say. It's going to take a while for me to complete it but I have until the 31st August.

The suns out so I'm going to have another go at pruning the roses this morning. There are a few I won't be pruning as they were moved earlier in the year and were pruned then. Wahooooo the courier has just dropped off my rose Buff Beauty so now I have to get out in the garden lol.

This afternoon I'll start unpicking the hem on the placemats so I can sew the wadding on.

Gotta move, roses to plant and prune lol.

Happy crafting :)

morning ladies :) It's a calm morning this morning, not a breath of wind. I have eight roses left to prune and will get them done shortly. A few weeds have popped up so I'm weeding as I go. The mulch has made a huge difference not just to weeding but where it is beginning to break down, I have gorgeous dark, rich soil.

I didn't get to start unpicking the hems of the placemats and am hoping to get at least one done this afternoon. I've figured out how to thread the overlocker correctly, there's a really tricky bit for one of the threads. A pair of tweezers and running the thread through some beeswax did the trick and stopped the thread from 'flopping' over. I had more control of it and was able to thread it through the tricky spot. I think if I was ever to design an overlocker, I would put lighting down the bottom where threading is the hardest.

Happy crafting :)

Afternoon Ladies. The sun out and washing on the line, blue sky sunny day. No wind. Finished cleaning up dead flower heads. A job I keeping putting off.
Yes, kiwimade we will be sharing the veggies. They have herbs in pots and I have put fresh herbs in the garden and some by the back door at my place.
Matt has been mowing our lawns for the last few years and been helping me with the gardens.
Just knitting a shawl in mohair at present. Once finished I will run up some cloth bags for a friend. She is the manager of an op store and was given heaps of love fabric to use. It was out in the store for 3 weeks and no one brought any of the fabric.

Hope you are back home popeye and you didn't pick up any bugs in the hospital. Good to hear, you had someone to call on, to take care of your cat
Time to move and put a match to the fire as sun gone in and temp has dropped as well.
Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying crafting and sewing.

Good Morning everyone.

I am home and man its nice to be able to do proper Punctuative typing lol..

I got home yesterday to Missy who took a couple of minutes to come out and after a good sniff around lots of smooches.

Was nice to sleep in my own bed with my long hottie and Missy sleeping on top. She's letting me put the blankets over her now.

Have to do bloods, take in a script and see MrP this morning then home to rest a bit.

Im on 3 blood thinners now.. It was a clot that broke off my mechanical valve and then got jammed in the artery, very lucky I didn't have a stroke instead.

A good frost here this morning too.. And a bit different than being in hospital with a fan on 24/7 lol The nurses couldn't handle it lol.. It was warm and I like moving air in my face lol

Have a fab day with your crafts today everyone

popeye333 - 2021-07-12 07:51:00
17266

morning ladies :) Good to hear you are home, popeye. MrK has the same valve as you and clots are constantly in the back of our minds.

The roses are all pruned and ready for spring. I need to buy more potash and epsom salts for them. My Dublin Bay took over an hour to prune, MrK even came to find me thinking something was wrong lol. But it just needed some thinking about shaping and being brave enough to cut some lovely canes off so took a bit longer.

I didn't start on the placemats yesterday as I was outside most of the day (yep, it was freezing lol). I'll get to it today. After I have replanted the gladys I lifted in March. And done the ironing.

Happy crafting :)

morning ladies :) It took me a while yesterday to finally sit down and unpick the hem of one placemat. I kept looking at them and thinking am I doing the right thing, what would my mother-in-law think (she embroidered them) and so on. In the end, I decided they were no use the way they were and needed to be changed. They are also quite big and square so I'm cutting them back to a rectangular shape. I'll have one, maybe two, sides to embroider the edging on again but that's OK as I've found thread close enough in colour and can do the stitches. It took me an hour and a half to unpick the hem on one placemat. When she stitched, she made sure everything stayed put! It's definitely a daytime thing to do as the fabric is 32 count and my eyes aren't that good any more even with glasses.

This morning I plan to trim all the lawn edges and mow the lawn. MrK sharpened my edge trimmers yesterday so it should be an easier job. The bin man came around 6.00am (new guy!) so one bin will be full shortly of the rose prunings I couldn't fit in for this weeks empty.

Happy crafting :)

Morning ladies,
A bit damp and cold here today. Glad that you are home Popeye always nice to sleep in your own bed.
Finished quilting the border yesterday and binding stitched on so have 2 quilts now to ha d stitch binding down. I think I will save it for next week when I go to quilting group. Pulled out couple patterns want to sew a long line vest and new knit dress my wardrobe needs something smarter than jeans all the time.
K9 dancing for a walk but not happening in the rain perhaps after lunch. Meeting up with friends for lunch so might take them in the car then walk along the beach front
Have a good day

Morning everyone
Yes it is nice to sleep in my own bed. If I could get my cramp under control it would be even better.. I started on magnesium yesterday so hopefully that will help.

Kiwimade I think it is nice that you are redoing the hems etc.. It means there's your Mother in laws love and work as well as yours.. And it makes them usable and not sitting in a draw being unseen.

Its nice to have something new to wear eh Mica... Im wearing a woollen skirt I brought in 1998 in Tawa . I was down there for the C.W.I conference and we had a day out shopping.. I think it may have been Ballentine's or Posty plus maybe ? not sure now. But its a bit well used to wear out now.. oops that makes it 23 years old lol.. along with a nightie I brought for the trip too which is also still going lol.

I went and did what I had to do yesterday and it totally wiped me out. But Ive asked for the blood people to come to the house this time... And I will have to go out on Friday for my 2nd covid shot tho.

MrP was in a GRRR mood yesterday so I told him I wasn't listening to this crap and left.

Im going to have a look at my purple pantry to sort out some wool for a blanket for a friends daughter... As much as I love my cards, its hardly being productive lol..

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) We have a -3 frost this morning, it doesn't feel like -3 though. It was colder the other day when the frost was even in our huge tree. Maybe I'm just getting used to them.

Not much to do outside today, just a bit of a tidy up. Pick up the cabbage tree leaves and so on. And I'll plant the gladys I've been meaning to plant for a few days now. They are special to me as they were the gift our daughter gave to her guests at our granddaughter's baby shower.

I've unpicked some of the embroidery on the first placemat. It was a very slow job as it was a pulled thread stitch which is tight. Now I can embroider across the fabric below where I'm going to cut and down the sides where I have unpicked to make new corners. Hopefully the new work won't be noticed too much.

Happy crafting :)

Morning ladies, heavy frost here too currently -1 degrees.
Enjoyed our lunch out with friends yesterday still managed to make long line vest in the afternoon. Not sure it is the right shape for me but will wear it around house. Traced off dress pattern so hope to get that sewn today just using a brushed polyester knit as my toille before using my good merino jersey.
K9s poked their noses outside this morning and have gone back to bed so no requests for their walk LOL
Off to office to complete some paperwork before morning espresso.

Morning everyone...Brrr its a chilly one with a good frost thats for sure.

Im not surprised any of the k9s didn't want to go out for a walk lol... what breed do you have Mica?

Missy is sitting on the arm of MrP's chair and the sun is just now coming into the window to her.

Ive been pottering around getting a few jobs done. Nothing too heavy. I have a couple of parcels to pack and book a courier through here.. Its soo much easier having them pick them up at the front door and deliver. One of the best things TM did was making it so you can send items that you didn't sell via TM.

Stay warm and have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) No frost this morning but we are expecting rain for a bit.

I've started re-embroidering across the top of the first placemat yesterday. It's definitely a daytime thing. Even with my day lamp right over my shoulder my eyes were struggling. You can see the slight colour change in the thread but I can live with that.

MrK made me a needle box the other day out of our old rhodo tree he killed when it was over pruned. He's put a swing lid with a strong magnet to keep it closed and given it two or three coats of danish oil. It was finished with a coat of wax he made from beeswax and danish oil (omg that's awesome stuff!)

Morning everyone

Its Lovely Kiwimade, you have a clever man there. I had a friend whose father did french polishing, especially on pianos.. he did beautiful work. He was a Polish French Polisher lol

No frost today , not sure if it rained or is just a heavy dew out there. Im expecting the mobile lab people this morning, such a handy service.

Yayay No cramp for 36 hours... such a relief...

I have a few little jobs to do today, to make tomorrow easier... nothing too taxing , I guess the biggest thing will be putting a walker into the car so I can get a stool into MrP tomorrow.

I've made the decision to scrap sky.. I didn't miss it when I was in hospital. I actually watched channels I hadn't really taken much notice of.. Ill go down to the very basic until I can get the free view boxes out,, lifting needed.

Morning everyone, mild day here too, I’m glad as it was an early start for me, as a I had CT scan, I got there early the person before me hadnt shown up so I got it done quicker, and was out the hospital doors round the time my appointment was. Did a bit of crochet while waiting, though it was a little tricky while I had the IV in my arm, but I’ve be learning how to deal with that sort of thing,

Popeye l have just got rid of sky and brought a dongle so l can run my tv thru WiFi instead. It does Netflix, YouTube, free view as well as tv channels it was $150 and easy to set up on my phone. I never knew it existed till my son told me, l only had sky because there was no aerial only a skydish l was going to upgrade to a smart tv but the dongle does the same.

Ive taken it down to the basics just under $5 a week, but I have 7 months credit lol.. so I dont have to rush to get into the crate with the freeview boxes in.

morning ladies :) I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning as I was up talking with a friend in the States last night. Was good to catch up though.

We use Chromecast as our TV is old - we bought it when TV changed from analogue to digital! And we can 'cast' to all the streams of channels. I had to buy a dongle as well years ago to connect us to the internet and then in later years, the Chromecast. But as huntlygirl says, it beats buying new telly.

Tim6, it often pays to be early for hospital appointments, doesn't it. And we do what we must to get our crafting fix!

Yesterday I finished embroidering the top border line of the first placemat and I cut it to size. There is no going back now! I must admit, it does look better this way. I'll buy some backing fabric and more wadding next time I'm in one of the cities nearby but in the meantime, I can continue with the other five.

Housework today, not that there is much to do but I was showing a friend the new curtains we had made not long ago, yesterday, and spotted quite a few spider webs. Oh well, such is life.

Happy crafting :)

My Winge Im sooo over this heart crap and Blood tests.. Have to test Again today so will do that before my 2nd covid shot...Just as well Im not scared of needles lol

gee the Stats on the Covid cases around the world are shocking again.. They should all follow our ways and things may have been totally different. Cant believe both North and South Korea havent locked down or anything...its bound to get them big time eventually.

Once Ive seen MrP depending on the energy levels Im going to do some vacuuming.. its starting to annoy me. But that will be about it for the day.

morning ladies :) It's going to be a rough day weather wise here too but it's not cold. A perfect day for crafting :)

Yesterday I came across a You Tube video about under stitching. I can't believe sewers haven't been doing that. I suppose when you are following a pattern, if doesn't tell you to do it and you are a beginner, then you just don't know.

I have almost finished re-embroidering the top row of the second placemat, this one is much quicker than the first. I think I was overly nervous with the first one and this made me slower.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone,
Yes its not too cold at all today, quite windy out there. I have no need to go out tho lol.

Your right Kiwimade, sometimes we just dont learn these things unless we either get a bit nosey or someone else tells us.
A bit like Winz, your meant to know what you are entitled to cos they wont tell you.. or like the hospital with the taxi chits.

I did what I needed to do up the road yesterday and went and saw MrP. He was happy when he saw the pork crackle lol.. As I was leaving my brother rang so I sat on the couch in the foyer and sadly the undertakers arrived. A gentleman on another wing had died.... Sometimes I wish we could pause ourselves at our desired age and just never get older or sicker.

Didnt do anything in the afternoon, so tired.. I always thought I was tired at times before but this is a heavy tired.
I got my INR and it was still too high for me and they said to test in 5 days, as much as I said yesterday I was over it, I wasn't comfortable with that long so will do it again on Monday. I enjoyed a club sandwich loaded with lettuce which hopefully will help bring it down lol..

Today I will vacuum and that will just about do me lol... I will steam the pumpkin I got yesterday and throw the muffins together.. Muffins that I measured out last week.. I figured it was worth spending $2 on more pumpkin and trying it, or just straight biffing it out. if they work it will be a bonus, cos I might biff it and it be a waste too lol

Have a fab day everyone... looks like it might get rough out there

popeye333 - 2021-07-17 09:05:00
17284

morning ladies :) Another day of rain by the looks of it. The Buller River on the West Coast has burst it banks so more flooding in that area.

Yesterday I prepared the second placemat for backing so that leaves four to do. The tricky part is going to be mitering the corners with a border as my mother-in-law has cut the fabric to reduce bulk (I think that's why she did it) and this doesn't give me much room to work with. One option is not to have a border but stitch the edge back covering the wadding and lining. I'll have a tutu with one but I don't want to play around with the fabric too much as it's a loose weave.

Happy crafting :)

So very crazy Weather around the world at the mo. Mother Nature is almost having her Own covid and spitting the Dummy.

I got the floors done yesterday, oh it feels soo much better lol... Doesnt take much to make me happy lol.

Im sure you will figure out how to make things work Kiwimade. Its a part of the challenge lol.
I keep saying it but I really need to do something crafty, but not a lot is enthusing me at the mo. The good thing is I guess its always going to be there.

I will be shortening the sleeves and legs on a pair of Jammies for MrP this morning tho, so thats a start lol.

Stay safe and dry everyone

morning ladies and welcome greer2004 :) Deramores have changed their shipping and we now have to pay postage regardless of the amount you purchase. They only offer free shipping if you live in the UK. I think there may be other sites where you don't pay postage, others may know :)

Another wet day here by the looks of it. I don't mind these rough days as I have plenty to do inside and can do it guilt free.

Yesterday I prepared another placemat for embroidery. I stuffed up one bit but was able to fix it and hopefully when it is washed, you won't notice it. Note to self: make sure the placemat is the right way round before pulling a long thread out for my cutting line. At least I hadn't cut it before I realised! Talk about a rookie mistake lol. Today I'll embroider across the top, it will take a while as the stitches are teeny tiny.

I'm looking at buying a walking foot for my sewing machine, I think it will make all the difference when sewing layers.

Happy crafting :)

Mild here, too, gonna be wet tho that's for sure. So Ill be ducking be tween showers. Just noticed its pouring at the mo. I dont hear it with the tv on lol.

Bloods again today and then Ill go see MrP for a little while. Making a bacon Buttie to take up for him.. he always enjoys them lol.

I shortened the sleeves and legs on his Jammies yesterday so he will be pleased. He's never liked wearing long sleeves and Im much the same really.
The aches from the covid stuff is easing off, but my sensitive arm is still sore. The tops of my arms have always been super sensitive even a poke with a finger hurts it easily. lol.

Stay safe and warm everyone.. Have a fab day

Good Morning on a lovely sunny day here in Napier. Very slow this morning as not feeling too well. I fell yesterday around lunchtime at a friends place. Lucky my friend is a nurse and took me to the hospital. I have cages around my lower neck. She put a support collar on for me. Ended up there for 4 hours plus. Have a second MRI this afternoon. So I'm not a happy person.
Would have liked to be out in the gardens today in the sunshine.

Hope Mr P enjoyed the Bacon Sandwich you took up for him.Mrs P.

Look forward to seeing your placemats. kiwimade. It's lovely to work on pieces that can be passed down to the family. I have some lovely hairpin work that my mother passed on to me and other pieces.

Time for me to make a move and have some lunch and head over to Hastings for my second MIR.
Have a great afternoon everyone.

morning ladies :) Dammmm sunflowers, I hope you recover quickly.

I'm still working on the same placemat, I needed to have a break from the tiny stitches so I picked up my memory blanket knitting. I'll have to start joining the blocks soon as I'm building up quite a pile. And it will be summer soon and I don't knit over summer. My aim is to use as much of my stashes as possible, whether it be wool or fabric.

I need to buy some epsom salts (magnesium) for the roses and new gardening gloves. I've worn both pairs of gloves to a frazzle.

MrK wants to make sure I can change a light bulb that has popped in the kitchen. Sigh... of course I can! But he's making sure I'll be ok for when he falls off his perch. Better go lol.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone,

Another wet one by the looks.

Nice of MrK to show you how to do things, for when they are no longer with us.. knowing you are Taurean like me Kiwimade, there's probably not a lot that we cant do or figure out how to do. But it does their pride good to think they are teaching us.. gives them peace of mind I guess.

Yesterday we got an invitation to go and meet and listen to Grant Sharman, a paraplegic who used to coach the wheelchair all blacks. He's giving a talk at the rest home. He paints with his mouth.. Im really interested in that. Cant wait.

My ribbon arrived yesterday, nothing like the colour I want lol.. Ill have a look in spotlight or the cheapie shops next time Im in one.

I dont have plans for today really, just going to float around doing what I please lol.

Have a fab day everyone

Woke up to blue sky and sun, but it’s gone now.

We’ve been growing mushrooms from a kit we bought at mitre 10, picked some this morning as they were ready. I’m taking a break from the cardigan I’m knitting, my knitting is slow, so I needed a break, so crocheting myself a shawl. Heard results from my scan yesterday, only scarring visible, so tumour has definitely shrunk, which is good news. Ended up at ED last night, I have managed to crack a rib, so pain meds, and I have to rest for 6 weeks.

Sunflowers, hope you are feeling better soon.

morning ladies :) Yummmm mushrooms! We've looked at those kits and wondered how they would work. Sounds like something to investigate further!

No crafting for me yesterday as we went to Rotorua. MrK's sister is very frail now.

Today I'll spread the epsom salts (magnesium) around the roses and hopefully this will help 'Loving Memory' grow stronger canes that will support her large flowers. I'll get some baking done at some stage too and work on those placemats.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

I Love the smell of mushrooms and peeling the wild ones.. Not fussed on the taste tho. MrP loves them. Theres several things he likes that I dont, but enjoy cooking for him.

I had a low day yesterday, but am feeling a bit better today.

I found some pure wool crepe in one of the drawers of my scotch chest in the sewing room. Its a royal blue and is hard lol.. Started a cover for the long hottie last night. I think I will be washing it with some shampoo before I use it to soften it a little, if that will work lol... but I love crepe and how good it looks when knitted or crocheted. With the bright pink of the hottie it might look purple lol

I need to pop up the road for some milk at some stage, then Ill be pottering around on here in the afternoon.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) A wet, rough day today by the looks of it.

I bought a huge pumpkin the other day and have some ham hocks in the freezer so today I'm going to make ham and pumpkin soup. It just looks like a soup kind of day and it's easy to freeze any leftovers. MrK's sister might like some too as soup is easy to digest when you are so ill.

Yesterday I finished embroidering the third placemat and will start the next one later today. I have to buy some more wadding so will add that to my 'city shopping' list. I'm down to my last three skeins of wool in my stash! And, lmao, I will have to buy some to finish the blanket off.

Time to get moving, the Furry One wants to play and it's easier to just play with him for a while rather than him constantly bashing on my leg with his rope. He has me well trained lol.

Happy crafting :)

Hi Ladies, Sunny and warm today here in The Bay today. Washing on the line. I'm so over this fall. Back to the doctor yesterday and need to have some more X-rays. Can't get in here at the centre till Saturday lunchtime. Can get in at the hospital in Hastings Friday pm. In the meantime on pain meds. Just waiting for a call from the nurse.

Knitting a baby blanket to use up some of my wool. Sitting in the sun this morning, came back in as I looked around the section and want to do some gardening. Will go for a walk later today.

Thanks for your message mica. Yes, it takes some time for crack ribs to mend.
I can across some of my mother's stitching pieces when I was cleaning up my linen cupboard the other day. She did a very little knitting. Came across some of her stitch work. She always had yarn and a hook in her bag or a piece of stitching.

The soup sounds lovely. kiwimade. I have made up some soups a couple of weeks ago and put them in the freeze.
Just looking out the window and I see a clear blue sunny sky.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying their day.
Happy Crafting Ladies!
