Morning everyone
Wow poor kitty, but Silly Kitty lol..

I didnt even hear the rain but MrP said it rained most of the night. And its very still.

Did the shopping yesterday then went and got some books from the library.. A long time since Ive been in there.. Couldnt find my car but did find my number so I have a new card, it has a Tui on it .. And it was soo good to read in bed last night.

Havent touched the crochet for a couple of days, but I will today. Anything that needs doing can wait lol..

I hope everyone is ok.. Have a fab day

morning ladies :) A very wet start to the day, both dogs have been outside couldn't get back in quick enough.

I bought some elastic yesterday, was hard to get enough as the farmers have been buying it for calving. They use it to attach temporary tags on the calves until they can get permanent tags fixed. So today I'm going to sew face masks. There's tons of easy free patterns online. I hope this is a case of having but not needing but better safe than sorry.

I'm stitching away at my picture, not happy with a tree trunk, it looks too 'straight' and unnatural so will work on that today as well.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

I dont normally hear the rain but I sure did early this morning.. And there was a lightening strike over near where we used to live apparently. we saw and heard it and we are on the other side of town .

I was thinking about making some masks son too Kiwimade.. I hate things over my face so it will be a testing time if we need to use them. I will be looking at patterns later too.

I realised last night how sore I was when little things MrP did annoyed the heck out of me... Thats the only time things get me down.. but this morning the tummy pain has eased alot YAY and just the normal bone pain.

I was checking my panels yesterday goodness knows how I did it but one of the variegated was 1 round too big and one was two small, so I undid one, and then added it to the other . And I should finish another today.

Dishes first lol.

I have never heard of farmers using elastic or there being a shortage lol... Ive learnt something today lol. A pair of the jeans I got to pull apart had elastic with Button holes in it. Obviously pressed in with a hot knife cos theres no fraying. Ive never seen anything like it before.. even in the factories that I worked in making jeans

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Popeye, we had never heard of farmers using elastic in calving either! Will have to ask our nieghbour about it.

Yesterday the temperature plummeted and we had an awesome hail storm. The ground was white with hail stones.

Both dogs were outside at some ungodly hour this morning chasing the cat that visited us the other night. You would think it would get the message. I hope it's not a stray or has been dumped here.

Yesterday I sewed a few face masks, they aren't hard to sew and are pretty quick to make.

The Fluffy One goes home some time today, the Furry One will sulk for a while.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
Ohh I love a good hail storm, came across the photos of the wicked one we had at the other end, the other day.
The temp dropped here about 7ish this morning, winters last blast maybe.

Kiwimade did you do the pleated masks or the one with the seam down the middle of the front?

Oddly we both forgot I had booked MrP for a haircut yesterday lol.. So thats my first job this morning.

Then I will crochet cos Ive had a couple of days off and my hands are complaining, loudly lol.

Had a look at the laws this morning, still very little growth so we will put it off again.. they would only be topping it by millimeters when the use the ride on. and I don't like the mess is leaves in the dirt cos of the weight of it.

The silver beet is growing slowly, the rhubarb will be picked this week and the fresia's are getting fat.. Ive never seen then soo long.. I will be measuring the length.. I think they will beat the 24 inch Daffodil I had a few years ago.

Have a fab day all

Morning everyone

I was expecting it to be wet out there, but the sky is clear and blue with very little clouds.

I ended up having a good day yesterday.. I finished one panel and have made an excellent start on another of the striped ones.

Was talking to a friend on fb at lunchtime, about my e-reader and how I was missing it.. Talking about the costs of a new one. I said I wonder if you can get a system so I could read them on the lappy.. Then I thought Ohh Ill have a look and see what I could find.. And there on my menu was a Kindle.
So after a few minutes I had linked it to my amazon and there were All my lovely books I got last month, and another 80ish I got yesterday.

So I saved money without leaving home lol. So Im one Very Happy Camper lol.
We have oodles of wax eyes visiting at the mo, its very distracting but they are fun to watch.. I put their seed cake out in front of the ranch slider and watch them come in, and neither the wax eyes or sparrows are scared to deal with the greedy Mynas.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies from sunny Hawkes Bay, After 3 weeks been unwell and feeling like not doing anything the bug has moved on. I did a lot of reading and sleeping. Had all tests the doctor could think of and still no answers.
I finished the baby blanket for a friend and started another blanket with all my odd balls of wool and wool left from other projects. When finished I have cleaned a lot of wool out.
We have had some great weather the last couple of weeks.

Kiwimade sounds like you have been busy in your gardens and now doing some stitching. It great you are doing your own pieces of work.

Popeye glad to hear you can still e-books without your Kindle. I have a Kindle which I need to add some books again to it. A friend dropped some books off for me to keep me in reading material, Watched very little TV.
Well, ladies, I need to make a move and do some housework and hang out the washing.
Have a great day everyone.

afternoon ladies :) It's been a busy morning, I've had another clean out of a wardrobe, this time I was brutal. Stuff off to the op-shop, more personal papers burned and some spare old blankets to the vet clinic.

Good to hear you are up and about, sunflowers and on the mend.

The masks I sewed were the pleated ones, popeye. Really easy to make. My sister took hers when she picked The Furry One up last evening. I still have some to make for me but there's time for that later.

Am picking away at my embroidery, I think I need to make the tree trunk thicker. Will do the main branch first so I can work out proportions. Still debating whether to stitch the leaves directly onto the fabric or make slips and stitch them on like stumpwork or to do a combination of both styles.

Happy crafting :)

morning ladies :) A good crafting day today as it is going to bucket down.
Daffs are up but those flowering took a hammering from the hail storm the other day. Hyacinths and Star of Bethlehem are in flower and the roses have loads of new growth so the garden is ticking along.

Have a bit of mending to do for my sister today and then I'll do some stitching.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Very wet here too, so Ill be pottering about with crafts, Might have a go with some masks.. I should finish my Aprons lol.. I got so far and the desire to sew stopped.. Perhaps I should do those first lol..
Trouble being I know the chair doesn't like my hammies and Ive tried everything I can to make it work. Annoying cos its a good quality chair. We got it when I was doing my business and computer courses, cos I was at the desk top alot.

Have to wrap a birthday present.. From July. A friend and I both left it till lockdown was over and a thing she was going through at the time. I got mine from her yesterday
How's this for NZ Post.. it was posted in CHCH at 10-10 am on Saturday and I got it Yesterday around noon. We are very impressed and it will be interesting to see how long it takes going in the opposite direction lol

Izzy's mum came around yesterday for a chat.. its been ages with her being super busy lately so it was good to catch up in person. We were laughing as we always do about our freezers.. They have 3 large ones.. we are both trying to make some room for the Christmas club meat shop, I have our largest just over half full, she was cutting down on hers and was given some stuff so hers are full again lol... we make headway and then something always happens lol.
I have decided we will have my treasured piece of bolar roast on our wedding anniversary at the end of this month.

I did have a spare air cooker, phew its smaller than the one I was using but it still is better than not having one lol

Last night I crochet a little finger cover. My middle finger has been aching terribly so I thought well warm it up, its helping lol..

Have a fab day everyone... Might be good day for a Hot choccie..lol

Good Morning Ladies What busy people you been. I had a head cold for about 7-8 days and spend a lot of time reading and sleeping. A couple of friends came in with meals for meals and check I was ok.
Did some knitting and tidy up my craft room as well. Finished the baby blanket for a friend. Have a couple of pieces to sew up that friend's mother had knitted.
My lawnmower man is due to come and tidy up the section for me this week. Lawns don't need cutting at present. Have spring flowers out all over the section just now.
How your garden after the Hail Storm Kiwimade? We have not had one for some time now. Hope you enjoy doing your own stitch patterns and able to do some stitching when the weather cold and raining.
Enjoy your day ladies,I'm off out for lunch today and have a look around the shops with my friends.
Have a great day everyone.

morning ladies and welcome back to our various lockdown levels. My goodness that Covid is a damed tricky virus. Just when we pat ourselves on our backs it kicks us in the ar** again. I hope you are all safe in your bubbles.

Looks like I sewed those masks just in time. I think someone was smiling on my sister and I when I gave her the masks on Sunday. She texted me last evening a big thank you lol.

MrK has a hearing test today, well, we hope he does. He will phone later and double check. It's taken me years to get him in for this, oh well. It is what it is.

I hope you are feeling much better today, sunflowers.

Coffee is finished, time to move and get the chores done. Crafting later on.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Yep back to it again.. thankfully we dont go out alot. but we were at the superclinic last week, so we will watch ourselves closely.

I made a pleated mask yesterday and cut some more out, then I saw a pattern / video on FB which seems a bit easier, so Ill write that one down too.
It might also mean the post shop will be shut, I have the last bit of a birthday present to pick up tomorrow and need to post it to CHCH. So Ill call later and see what is happening with that.

I think Im more annoyed than surprised that its back, we were doing so well...

Have a fab day everyone

Well that was good news, MrK can have his hearing test but it will be this morning rather than just after lunch. His was the last appointment for the day leaving a huge gap between his and an earlier appointment. So by changing the time, they can go home. I think they were going to do that anyway.

Fish pie made for dinner, love being able to use the herbs in the garden. Washing is out, yes, we have sunshine! Might sew a couple more masks and that will give us three each. Should be enough, but if not, I can make more.

16267

morning ladies :) Hope you are OK, huntlygirl :)

It's another gorgeous day today, a light -1 frost but that's ok. I have a bit of weeding along the roadside to do and I need to put some rabbit protection around a rose cutting I planted. We have a whanau of rabbits, the Furry One is trying valiantly to catch them but so far they are too quick for him. I noticed yesterday he had trouble jumping onto our bed so will keep an eye on him. I guess age is catching up with him.

MrK had a 'low hearing' loss result but as his hearing worsens, he will need an aid. The audiology people said ACC would pay as it is due to industrial noise from when he was a diesel mechanic. At least we know where we stand with his hearing now, it drives me nuts he has to have the TV up so loud.

Crafting a bit later on, still working on the tree and I need to find a small piece of driftwood for MrK to cut down so I can do the swing. I will glue it on last after I have washed and ironed the piece but I need measurements so I have a rough idea where to place the string for the rope. Hopefully it will all start to come together.

Happy crafting and stay safe.

Morning everyon

A tad chilly here too, after a nice warm day yesterday.

Huntlygirl , you take it easy ok.

Kiwimade I got my hearing aids via ACC too.. But absolutely hate wearing them.. Ive always hated anything in my ears, the Audiologist said I have the cleaned ears he had ever seen.. so I haven't worn them since we moved up here..

Shopping as per normal today, only MrP will stay in the car, I said to him if I had the choice Id be staying home and staying warm lol

I will run up some more masks later. I prefer the one I made yesterday, and alot easier to make too. I looked through MrP's Mums 3 tier sewing box (on legs) to see if there was any fine elastic or even shirring elastic and there was some stronger but fine elastic, so here we are 35 plus years from after she died and she is helping to keep us safe. I still wish I had met her..

Have a fab day everyone.. I suspect we are in it for the long hall again..

I am going to have to wear my support sling for a few days l tore my rotator cuff a few years ago and if l do to much it is very painful. I took 2 codeine as well as my sleeping pill and phenegen and slept 6 hours straight which l haven't done for months. Off to get groceries then rest until it is time to pick Violet up from school then her girls brigade troop are entertaining grandparents via zoom. Violets gran is 95 and they are very close so she is excited.

morning ladies :) An overcast and chilly start to the day. I hope you had a better day yesterday, huntlygirl.

Today I have to go into town, so will be wearing a mask for the first time. The Furry One needs more meds but I need to chat to the vet as he had another seizure yesterday, the second in three weeks.

Housework today, even though there is only the two of us (and the dog lol), the house definitely needs a once over every week.

Crafting later, probably while we watch the Jacinda and Ashley Show later on.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Wow Huntlygirl no wonder you slept lol..

Im close to my limit of pain today. From bending into the deep trolley yesterday, cos I did a larger shop, since the last couple of weeks had been light nd there was no way the checkout lady could get it back into the half trolley again and once packed outside they were heavy bags and clothes baskets. But I need to tidy the kitchen so Ive topped up my codeine and will get as much as I can done.

Hmmmm I before E except after a C but codeine is an exception its always coming up to repair lol

I suspect it will be maybe another week of level 3 up here then Back to level 4, if we dont go straight back to level 4...

I wore my mask yesterday and it was ok, I was surprised by the number of people who werent, I know its still voluntary, but why would you risk it.?

I have heard in the absence of elastic you can you stockings for your face mask creations.
Question, how Do I use it? Cut a slice & roll?
Can anyone let explain to a basic seamstress please.

rodthebod - 2020-08-14 18:38:00
16275

morning ladies :) That's a great tip, kittycatkin. I never knew that so will keep it in mind for next time.

rodthebod, I haven't heard of using stockings for masks, it would certainly be softer than elastic. I would imagine you would cut the length you want (maybe a bit shorter as the stocking will stretch) and use it as you would elastic. So maybe roll it so it's narrow but comfortable on your ears but I suspect it will naturally tend to roll. I guess it's a matter if experimenting. We're so lucky we can sew, looks like our 'old' skills are coming back to the fore.

Huntlygirl, I meant to ask you, how did 'your' kiwi get on with all your flooding?

We had a frost this morning and according to the computer it was -4. Not too shabby for our area lol. But it's going to be a stunning day so I think I'll make the most of it and be outside. MrK wants to get the spring vegie garden prepared so that will be him sorted. And he wants to build another permanent raised vegie garden (I sacrificed my garden path's bricks for this!).

Looks like our nieghbour's dog has jumped our gate and come to visit the Furry One this morning. The two of them are racing round like mad. It's been a while since he has visited as our nieghbour has a lamb and he has been kenneled off and on.

Yesterday the Furry One caught another rabbit. He's definitely on a roll. He ended up with another tummy ache as it was again, straight after breakfast. Greedy little buggar lol. But that's another rabbit gone and brings his tally to 32.

Crafting later, didn't get to pick it up yesterday as I was too busy doing other things.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
A chilly one here and its clear as a bell. I think we are too wrapped in trees to get a frost.
I hadnt thought of using stockings, it would be lovely and soft... I dont have any lol.. Hair ties is another option.. I have a couple that are too stretched so might use them when I sew later.

Had alot of pain yesterday but I did get most of what I wanted to do done, a little bit more today then I will sew.

Looks like we will need the masks for a bit longer.. Mind you MrP doesnt need more than one and that would only be If he needed to go to the drs.

Was looking at my potted garden this morning from inside and it appears one of the neighbours cats have used the bath for their toilet, so Ill go out and remove the offending gift for us lol.

Hope your pain is easing Huntlygirl and that your little one is on the mend too.

One inch strips of tshirting can be used for ties too. They roll when stretched to a nice narrow strip.

Ohh thats a good idea.. Now I have that in the house, well will do if I perloin a not so flash shirt, the arms and back will be clean lol

morning ladies :) A good frost here, -3, this morning. The new house insulation is working fantastically. Usually with a frost like this the heatpump stops (grrrr) and the house temperature drops to around 6 or 8 degrees (cold!!). This morning the heatpump turned off because of the frost and the house temperature was 11. So a huge difference. We are stoked with it.

I think my sister is calling in today to pick her jacket up and let the two dogs have some fun together.

It's going to be a stunner of a day so I plan to be outside for as much of it as I can.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone,

I can see a frost this morning so our first. It was certainly a cold night, MrP is still in bed keeping warm. Wise man lol

After a wee blow up on Thursday (I was sore MrP told me as he usually does, to sit down and rest) and I bit back with and how else is the rest of the jobs meant to be done... well yesterday he vacuumed up Rolys feathers in 2 places of about a mete square, and he had to sit down and was exhausted.. I felt mean but I didn't offer to finish it.. Hopefully it taught him that I do far more than the lions share but more importantly, that he has made himself soo weak that a little job like that made him so weak, that he knows he has done it himself.

I'm going to sew today since I got nicely side tracked by playing cards online yesterday lol. Ive stopped crocheting at the mo, which will be fine till I start falling asleep at the TV lol.

Have a fab day everyone

Afternoon Ladies, It's very cold today after a lovely sunny day yesterday. Spend the day outside weeding gardens and clearing wood off a path from last year when the trees had some wood removed. Today I have the fire going since 10 am this morning the temp was 11c. If this keeps up will be ordering more wood. Catching up on some housework and this afternoon been reading a book and some knitting.
Talking about face masks I had a box of 100 given me and later in the day my friend came over for some material to makes masks as she is a home helper and prefers the material ones so I now have half dozen material. In total, we cut out and makeup 2 dozen masks. So far a busy weekend as well.
Yes, it is time to clean the garden beds to plant once the weather gets warm. Kiwimade. How are the new roses going? I have some to collect from a rose grower in Hastings. Just waiting for the soil to warm up. two are climbers and others are bush roses.
Popeye how your paintings coming along, are you doing any for Christmas this year? Good to hear you are doing some sewing again. Yes, cats like to use the side of pots and inside them as well.
Better move and start getting my tea cooked and bring some more wood inside.
Hope you all have had a great day and some crafting.

morning ladies :) Another -3 frost this morning but it doesn't bother us a bit.

The new roses are doing great, sunflowers. Nothing like a good fistful of sheep pellets when I planted them to get them going. Lots of new growth right through the garden. Even the cyclamen planted outside aren't bothered by the frosts and are flowering again.

I sewed some more masks yesterday for two of my sisters-in-law and a couple more for my sister. My sister has to wear a mask when in public due to the nature of her job so a few more were handy.

I haven't touched my embroidery for a few days so must make time for it today. I want to get the lawn mowed again today as the weather is meant to turn tomorrow. And the compost bin could use a good catcher load of clippings.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
Another chilly start, but thats going to change so Ill enjoy the sun shining.

Sunflowers I havent painted for a while, Im waiting on Missy Cats Glamour shot picture to arrive lol.. its the image of her but made beautiful. I have to make two changes tho, putting the beauty spot on her nose and the copper patch in her eye.

Ill be in my little potted garden this morning picking Rhubarb, and the first silver beet for MrP.. I'm making him a quiche tonight for tea and I always put it in them. and I'm going to have to stake the freesia's cos they are sooo tall but its the rhubarb that's holding them up. Ill measure the stalks while I'm there.

Then I will be crafting.. I sewed more masks finally yesterday, started a second fingerless glove but ran out of cotton so will get a ball out to finish it. I have some ends to sew in one panel, and a striped one to finish.. I actually did some knitting last night.
Then I realized I have 3 wip's and that's soo not me so Ill narrow it down to the knitting but have a break from the crochet for a wee while..

There's finally some growth on the lawn, so Ill have that done next week, its starting to look patchy lol

Im actually thinking I must be the only one in our little group that is at Level 3 lol. But so pleased everyone is making masks and protecting themselves.

Have a fab day all and stay safe and well

popeye333 - 2020-08-17 09:15:00
16284

morning ladies :) What a change in the weather, still a small frost of -1 but very overcast.

Yesterday I trimmed the lawn edges and mowed so at least that's done.

Today we have MrK's sisters coming for lunch so I'll do a quick blat around to tidy up and run the vacum over the floor. They say they don't come to see the house but you know how it goes lol.

I think you must be the only one at L3, popeye. But even here, I've noticed very few people scanning the Covid app, no social distancing and buggar all masks. It makes me wonder if Covid is being taken seriously outside of Auckland.

Coffee is finished and the washing machine has beeped at me. I'm well trained at responding to beeping appliances lol.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone

Overcast here too, and I think Renee will be right and it will be raining by lunchtime. I got my little bit of gardening done yesterday.. Ill upload photos later but the long freesia is 30 inches tall, the first bud is more open this morning.

I got my gloves finished yesterday and the ends done on a variegated panel, and have 1.5 rounds to do on a striped one today and do the ends. Then Ill go back to knitting for a while. Ive missed it.

Have a birthday present to wrap today, several small items , I enjoy wrapping presents. The older ladies in Mangakino used to get me to wrap their families presents at Christmas time, and we would chat while I did.

re the Level Three, there's big discussions in local FB groups about people wearing and not wearing masks.. People here are very opinionated and not afraid to well, argue their point.
I hate having anything cover my mouth and nose, but there's no way I will go into a supermarket or med lab etc without one. I don't understand people not wearing them to be honest. They are not only playing with their own lives but those of their family and friends and the rest of the country.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone

Wild and wooly here, rain and alot of wind in our sheltered spot. I don't have to go out in it until later for the mail so bring it on hewey as they say lol.

I'm hankering to do diamond painting again, so I think I will set up my last one and make a start on that today... Of course that will mean the one of Missy will probably arrive while I'm half way through the other one lol.

I have to do some googling this morning... things I think I learnt at school but cant remember, Galileo and How the Swassticker was created... The latter Im think I did learn about... That will be my learning for the day lol...

Have a fab day everyone.. Stay safe, warm and well

popeye333 - 2020-08-19 09:08:00
16287

morning ladies :) The day looks a bit brighter than yesterday although it is still going to rain. Was an awful day to go shopping lol.

There are a couple of overseas ladies in the embroidery group I belong to using the Swassticker in their embroidery. It has caused some controversy but they explained how it came about and how they want to reclaim it for what it was. I know I was very uncomfortable with that thread but being uncomfortable is a good thing. I don't believe they will ever be able to reclaim it, it just has too many evil connotations now.

MrK needs a new phone so I'll buy the new one and he can have my 'old' one. His phone is a 'retro' phone and is just a basic phone. He needs to have the Covid app and to be able to bluetooth the radio.

Crafting today, I should get a bit more done on my embroidery. It's starting to come together. Today I'll make some leaves and see how they look attached to the tree, if I don't like it then I'll just embroider the leaves instead.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
I googled but there were soo many different reasons that I put it in the Too hard to bother about something that causes so much upset basket. Galileo on the other hand was to see what he looked like cos we saw a shot of him on tv the other day and I instantly thought a friends hubby looks like him lol. And he does lol.
I set up my diamond painting yesterday, but if you look at my FB you will see I had a "Helper" who kept interrupting me, She thought we were playing a game.. So I didnt actually get to start it lol

I had a warning coming up on my phone that my Storage was close to full. So after I deleted just on 19000 texts the warning was gone lol.. I hadnt deleted any since I got the phone lol.. Oops, so Ive decided each time I top it up Ill also clear out some texts lol.

Today would normally be our shopping day, but apart from wanting some potato chips there wont be much else we need.. I have to pop around to Izzys too so will do that later.

I will paint today and plan a baking session for the weekend.. I fancy some afghans lol.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Another wet day, storms and hail are coming or so the weather people say. We had lightening last night with a clear sky. Was strange to see it without clouds.

I haven't used either company janzjanz, so don't know, sorry.

The Furry One is due is annual checkup so we will have to make the appointment for him. We'll review his meds too.

Housework today then some crafting I think. Other than that, a cruisey day.

Time to move, I want to burn some rubbish before it rains again.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone
We had the thunder and lightning through the night, not currently raining and the wind has dropped some too..
She was a wild night and we gave up on tv at 8pm. MrP was falling asleep on the couch so I said he might as well go to bed, and I finished my book.

I should be writing Lines.. I must not play cards in the afternoon.. I still havent started my painting, and since Thursday is not a night I like on Tv I started playing games last night as well.. lol

The floors today and a bit of washing.. Then I Will paint lol.

Ohh I just had a good thought. MrP has some skin tags and wants me to tie them off with cotton. Ive done two but the 3rd one is tricky.. I could use my elastic threader to hang onto the tag and give me room to tie the cotton lol Sounds gruesome, But I wont feel anything lol

Have a fab day everyone

Good morning every one suns out but drizzly rain not cold though.
I haven't used the wool warehouse but I have used Hobbii
you just have to remember that the pricing is in U.S dollars plus there is no free shipping due to covid $25.00US (DHL) gets here in about 10 days
during normal times it is free shipping for orders over $75.00US and usually arrives in 6 days.
The yarn is beautiful I use the cakes to make shawls hope that helps

morning ladies :) Another wet day. We're over it too, sunflowers.

Yesterday we had our neighbour's pup for a couple of hours while she was out. The pup just wouldn't go home and kept finding ways over to us so we just let her stay. I text her owner so she knew where her pup was. The Furry One loved it but was over the bouncy-ness of a puppy after about an hour.

Crafting for a bit today. Yesterday I started on the leaves and pohutukawa flowers on some branches. The red certainly gives it a 'lift'. I'm hoping it won't take much longer to finish.

Happy crafting :)

Morning everyone,

The sun is shining, no wind yay... Hopefully the tv will be watchable today.

Ive stripped one bed cos MrP wants an electric blanket on, goodness me he is as changeable as the weather. lol... Managed to do that without pain and I will spread the remaking of it.. He reckons he is getting cold... 2 hospital blankets, 2 crochet blankets, one is wool, a candlewick bedspread , duvet cover and sleeping bag. Sound like an old broken down crock, but so long as its done before bedtime if I can limit pain Ill do it lol

I finally painted yesterday and very much enjoyed it for a change. Its my last one until the Missy one arrives. Its a nice view throughout two grey blue windows shutters, looking out to the sea.

Was talking to a sister friend in CHC last night, we were talking about Masks, the cost some people are charging etc.. She said if they have to start wearing them she is going to have some made of Christmas fabric. We both love Christmas and it will be an odd way to celebrate lol She is a bit down, alot has been happening for her and she said she feels like putting the Christmas tree up cos she knows it will cheer her up, oddly I was thinking the same thing lol.

Im going to measure out the ingredients today so I can bake tomorrow. I have a want for some afghans lol.

Have an awesome day everyone

Morning Ladies This happened very near to me never want to go out looking for a child again. So pleased to report that the young girl who went missing from Maraenui last night has been found safe and well.
Thank you all for your concern and support in finding her, especially those that contacted Police via Facebook offering their time and services to help locate her. The message that I want to give here is please if your child is out at an event or school please take them and pick them up after the event. I don't want to go out with a group looking for a child again. The sun is out and another warm sunny day. Hope you all have a great day and take care of each other.I'm off out to do some shopping and have a coffee. Have a great crafting day ladies

Morning everyone
The sun just burst into the lounge, hopefully it will stay a fine day, I didn't see the forecast last night.

Ohh Sunflowers so pleased to hear they found the little girl. It happened here a few years ago, I swear half the town was out, including the police, firemen and police helicopter.. the little boy was mentally challenged so it was harder still.

With MrPs help we trimmed alot of the tree branches that were interfering with the tv signal, certainly wasn't any disturbance yesterday.
I got the electric blanket on his bed after looking for the tape I thought I had, ended up using something else and then remade the bed. If it comes off now he will have to stop using it as a trampoline cos its well tide on lol.

Spent a bit of time on the phone with 2 birthday ladies, I have 3 ladies and my little heart boy on the 22nd, another today, 2 tomorrow and one the next day.. And Cam is the only male lol.

Didn't get any crafting done yesterday, but hopefully this afternoon once Ive finished the baking, will do some painting to make me sit and rest my back.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) In spite of the forecast, we had a beautiful day yesterday, I even managed to get washing dry outside.

Am so pleased the little girl was found. Years ago we were on the Napier beach the day another little girl went missing. We never saw anything but it just bought home how precious our kiddies are.

The garden is going nuts, it must have loved the warm day yesterday and the rain we have had. The magnolia is finally beginning to flower, it has to be my favourite tree out of all of our trees.

Typical lol, just when I turn the washing machine on, the temperature drops and black clouds come over. Will do the ironing shortly and get the windows done while there is no sun to streak them.

Crafting later on, still embroidering leaves and pohutukawa flowers.

Happy crafting :)

morning ladies :) Yesterday turned into a lovely day but now we get the promised rain.

My clothes drier needs repairing so I will need to get onto that soon.

The female blackbird in our garden was picking lichen off a tree so the birds must be into nest building. She was fussy too, throwing away bits that didn't suit her. Got to be perfect for her babies!

Am almost there with this embroidery piece although I'm not 100% happy with the tree. The leaves and flowers are working out ok so that's something. I have an idea for the next piece lol so want to finish this one. I need to buy an artist board to lace the cat I stitched and spotted some in the $2 shop the other day. Local and cheaper than Spotlight or the Stationery Warehouse who don't always have what I want.

happy crafting :)
