| Afternoon everyone I pulled some muscles yesterday getting out very heavy rubbish bag to the end of the long driveway. I lifted the bag and took it down in the recycle bin and it was when I got it out of the bin to put on the curb that I hurt my back. So Ive done my standing for the day. Ive measured the ingredients for the pave, Ill do a half mix. And its a throw everything into a bowl and beat it for 10 mins and shove it in the oven lol... And meausre the ingredients for the little cookies Im going to make for the kids. So hopefully with some rest today Ill be able to bake those tomorrow. The mix makes 75 approx so a good treat for sure lol Its overcast today and not too hot which is good. Have a fab day all popeye333 - 2019-12-23 12:17:00 |
| morning ladies :) Well the pav was a success, omg it looks good lol. Will use that recipe again. It's a pretty cruisey day today, cook the turkey, baste the ham and a quick tidy of the house. I may have to pick our son up from work this evening, his motor bike has a problem with it's clutch and it depends if son was able to get it fixed in time. No biggie, would feel happier with him not riding his bike Christmas Eve anyway. I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you have the type of Christmas Day you want tomorrow. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2019-12-24 07:03:00 |
| Morning everyone https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1231050724.jpg And some of the wee biscuits I made for the kids.. It was soo warm here that the chocolate wouldnt cool down enough to set. So they are in the fridge but should be ok to come out now....Oops its a little blury https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1231052661.jpg Im with you when it comes to travelling at this time of year. id rather stay home and not see anyone than have people travelling . I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas with their loved ones.. Stay safe on the road... Merry Christmas Everyone popeye333 - 2019-12-24 09:16:00 |
| Merry Christmas Ladies - Although I post very seldom, I do read this thread every day to keep up with all your great doings! I don't do much in the way of crafting these days - limited use of arms and no hope of an operation - but I do what I can. I enjoy reading about all of your projects - make the most of it while you can. Have an enjoyable Christmas season! tinybaldone - 2019-12-24 19:06:00 |
| Happy Christmas Eve everyone. My girl has just gone to sleep so Santa shall do his thing lol mary-poppins - 2019-12-24 21:19:00 |
| Good Morning Ladies,I would like to say a big thanks for helping me see another Christmas. This is my second Christmas without Mr S. I have not been here very much this last week as I have been spending time out clearing the gardens and hopefully plant over the holidays. sunflowers28 - 2019-12-25 09:51:00 |

| Merry Christmas ladies :) I hope today goes well for you all. Flick, that trifle looks soooo good! We're waiting for family to arrive, lunch is around 1.30pm :D Just remembered I haven't put buckets of water out for all the dogs that are coming with their owners today yet. Have a good one! kiwimade64 - 2019-12-25 11:00:00 |
| Merry Christmas everyone. We have had out Snapper and Chips, it was Lovely.. and had a bit of pav to follow. Its overcast but no rain here thus far. Have a very sulky man... but thats his own fault and Im not letting it spoil my day. Hes watching tv again so is just zoning out popeye333 - 2019-12-25 13:29:00 |
| Morning everyone. I hate going in christmas traffic but Im not going to sit at home with a sulky 2 year old... Have a fab day everyone... popeye333 - 2019-12-26 09:20:00 |
| morning ladies :) Just stopping for a cuppa… my washing line is full of tea towels and tablecloths lol. We don't have a dishwasher so everything is done by hand. Thankfully, family all chip in and help and we clean as we go. We managed to stay dry... just! We were finishing dessert when we felt the first big drops of rain. By the time we bought all the dishes in, it was bucketing down and time to open presents. Lots of laughs with the Secret Santa as we can 'swap or steal' presents. Time to chill a bit, I think after the last few weeks of slogging away, we deserve it. Happy New Year! kiwimade64 - 2019-12-26 10:19:00 |
| Afternoon everyone mary-poppins - 2019-12-26 13:30:00 |
| Morning everyone Could anyone please tell me where the phone is lol.. the landline cordless has wandered off somewhere lol.. Ive looked everywhere, tried ringing it 18 times in different parts of the house lol. Im going to do some price comparisons online and then we will go buy a new one, TBH I didnt like the one we had, but it was an urgent buy... Id like to go back to having multiple phones again. Have a couple of things to get from the supermarket, but Im hoping the crazy rush of boxing day sales is over lol. I took most of the decorations down yesterday, I will sort them into their proper crates etc.. and do the tree later. I found Millies decoration in an odd box, so I will leave that part up for a while. Have an awesome day everyone.. our only left over is Pav lol popeye333 - 2019-12-27 08:41:00 |
| Afternoon ladies, well I had a very quiet and very "dry" Christmas because about 8pm on Christmas eve when I went to water the front garden I found I had a waterfall outside my bedroom window where the water mains comes into a "T" junction to the house. I phoned one neighbour, but he was at work so phoned another and he came but couldn't fix it, so we turned the water off at the mains, so no water in the house. Good excuse to not do the dishes but not so much fun not being able to flush the loo or shower. So Christmas morning I was up at the neighbours filling home brew barrels with water which I had to then lug into and out of the car and into the house, and had a shower there. Yesterday I went to Bunnings and bought a new fitting and came home confident that I could fix it after all "girls can do anything" but I wasn't physically strong enough to hold the pipe together and wind the nuts into place so had to wait for my neighbour to come at 6, but now I have running water again. Phew! And all for $6.98 for the fitting instead of $200 or $300 for the plumber on Christmas Day. So was worth the wait. Feeling very lazy today. Have done a couple of loads of washing and finished crocheting a dinosaur, just have to make his spikes and sew them on. Too hot now to garden so I will do some sewing and potter round in the garden when it cools down. Still pinching myself to see if I'm awake when I think of selling the boat, can't believe it's happened. Dreamed last night that I was interviewed and offered a part time office job - not flipping likely. How weird! Have a super day everyone and if you're on the roads, look out for the idiots, there's plenty hooning past my place these last few days. kuaka - 2019-12-27 13:43:00 |
| morning ladies :) omg, I hope your daughter's wrist mends quickly. Have had more than our share of hospitals so know what the waiting is like. Have you checked the fridge and/or freezer for your phone, popeye? I've found odd things put in the fridge occasionally. Dammmm kuaka, of all the things to happen over Christmas. But you're right, why pay the extra call out fee when it can be a relatively easy fix, even if inconvenient at the time. I can understand why you're so happy about the boat, it was a constant niggle and worry for you. Yesterday was a potter about type day, got the garden watered, went into town (buggar all people about) and in t he afternoon started to sew the box cushion. OMG what a difference it makes sewing piping with a piping foot. I had the piping all made, ready for sewing the cord in and it sewed like a breeze. Even stitching it onto the cushion top was super easy. Now to sew a bit more for the bottom piece of the cushion and sew it all together. I feel quite confident to sew the cushions for the outdoor furniture and will start looking for fabric. As MrK says, having the right tool for the job makes a whole lotta difference. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2019-12-28 07:34:00 |
| Morning everyone Ohh Marypoppins one thing about kids, they tend to heal quickly, but a rotten time to do it, no swimming etc. Time they invented a water proof cast so One they will last and Two kids especially can arry on as normal. Kuaka sometimes we do things we dont fully want to but when it comes to winter and not having to go out to the boat etc, you will know its the right desicion. I agree with MrK Kiwimade, these things are made to make a job easy. I still havent found the phone, rediculous really cos normally the normal phone is with my mobile and I found the latter in the sewing room. Have to wash the fridge out, the pork trotters that Izzys parents got MrP on boxing day were off. I did the top shelf where they were sitting yesterday but theres still an odour so Ill do the whole thing.. it wasnt long since I did it either lol. Also got a new electric knife yesterday.. The one that I have been using for possibly 20 years is making a nasty popping sound in the motor when I first start to use it. So I dont feel safe with it.. will put it aside tho cos MrPs brother has an electrical tester thingee, so when they come up Ill get him to bring it. Both good buys cos the phones were $111 down to $66 and the knife $79 down to $45... so both for the price of the phones. Other than the fridge and the phones I dont have any plans really... I think the last few weeks have caught up so Im just going to paint later and that will be it. The ground is wet so we must have had some rain overnight Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2019-12-28 09:04:00 |
| morning ladies :) Today our daughter turns 30. Can't believe how quickly the years have gone by. The jewelery box MrK is making her isn't quite finished, but that's ok as we will see her and her family next month, so he has time. I finished the cushion, well sort of. Not happy with a part of it so will think about how I can fix it. Back to lawn mowing today, I mowed it Monday and already it's long and scraggly. We're also giving our son a driving lesson today. He's bought a classic car and of course, it's manual. None of his friends can drive a manual lol so it's good old mum and dad to the rescue. In days gone by, automatics were few and far between and now it's the reverse. Personally, I can't wait to drive his car lol, hopefully he will let me behind the wheel! And this mum feels a lot happier her son has four wheels and won't always be on two. Even though his motorbike is big, people just don't look for bikes. Once again the washing machine has beeped, will hang out washing then mow lawns while I'm outside. It's lovely and cool so perfect for lawnmowing and no nieghbours to annoy at this hour. Still shaking my head wondering where the years have gone. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2019-12-29 07:38:00 |
| Good morning everyone Yep Kiwimade the years are flying by. I have nephews in their nearly mid 40s now. I remember baby sitting my first nephew when I was 11 , when his brother was born. Highly illegal now at that age lol. And now he is an Executive Chef, but as he calls himself a Chef Whore lol... hes single and whizzes around the world where ever he is wanted. And this Aunty is very proud. I rested alot yesterday and feel better for it. I will put the hall stand back how it was again today but that will be all. Still havent found the Phone lol.. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2019-12-29 09:49:00 |
| Popeye they do have waterproof casts now, Violet has broken her arm 3 times and after the first one was dunked in a cattle trough she had waterproof the last 2 times. She was able to continue her swimming lessons no problem. huntlygirl - 2019-12-29 13:28:00 |
| Morning everyone Ohh wow Huntlygirl I didnt know that. Ive never broken a bone or known anyone who has done it recently.. Makes it much better for kids espcially eh. I re did the hall stand yesterday with all MrPs tractors and motorbikes, he can see it from where he sits, I cant so I dont mind what is on there. And i put my sloth painting on my dressing table with my what I assume are chinese money boxes,. I must take some photos and put in the collectors forum and see if they are old. Ive had them about 15 years maybe but they look really old fashioned. I will strip the tree this morning and I want to resort the containers and make it even tidier. The methodical me lol. Then Ill paint this afternoon.. I have a strip across the bottom to do then its done. I now have 14 items coming from Aliexpress lol.. some will be close to getting here. Paintings, plastic bags for storing the excess diamons in, plastic bags like shopping bags but food grade for Izzys mum who runs the community Sharing Oantry to put bread in, some cool cookie cutters, and another light pad which is bigger...lol Its overcast here, I missed the weather last night but id say we will get rain. Have a fab day all popeye333 - 2019-12-30 09:24:00 |
| afternoon ladies :) MrK and I have done the garden center rounds and spent the prezzy card we were given for Christmas. My new garden has a few plants in it now. My sister-in-law has an iris (stunning coffee colour) she said I could have a piece of so I have reserved a spot for it. And of course I found a rose with 30% off and had to have it. I pulled a rose out earlier this spring as it was struggling so this will replace it. MrK didn't even bat an eye when I put the rose in the trolley lol. There are still quite a few gaps but these will fill over time. I think I will work on my next embroidery piece this afternoon, will be nice to get that started. Happy New Year everyone :) kiwimade64 - 2019-12-30 12:30:00 |
| Morning everyone I have a couple of things to do up the road this morning. MrP is trying his darndest to cut out sugar, and cos he cant have milk on his cornflakes hes always had fruit juice, but he said this morning he would try sugar free fizzy on it.. Strange but if it works it will cut out alot of added sugar.. Of course he would decide this when I have about 5 bottles of juice in the cupboard lol.. but I dont mind really, it will be better for him and cheaper on the purse too. I stripped the tree yesterday and had a big sort out, so the tubs are waiting to go into the wardrobe again till next year. Im trying not to lift too much at a time at the mo. I have a good day or perhaps two days left on the painting to go. Not sure which one I will start next. I have 3 more coming, a yorkie for MrP and a sloth and mother and baby oranguatangs for me. Years ago I collected a few birthday cards that had orangs and one with a couple of chimps.. I decided to put them in one of those multi frames.. and oddly there were 3 single orangs and the "twin" chimps so I call it our family photos as there was 5 in our family lol I hope everyone has a fab day, the last of the year, Happy New Years everyone popeye333 - 2019-12-31 09:01:00 |
| HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone Heres to a new year and a better one for all. Thankfully no one text me at midnight lol. I have one friend who usually always does, but even she left it until 8-15 lol. Today will be a painting day as my bones didnt sleep well last night. so Ill only be doing what I absolutely have to. Its overcast and quite warm this morning. a little rain would be welcome Im sure Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-01 09:15:00 |
| Happy New Year Ladies. Popeye ,good to hear Mr P is cutting back on sugar, I also need too as will. At a friend's place last weekend and saw some lovely animal paintings that she worked on for her grandchildren. Hope everyone enjoyed their pictures as well Popeye. Hope everyone is enjoying their crafting. How the markets going Kuaka? We have had a number of ships in. Hear there 28 ships dur in this month. I try and stay away from the main shopping areas. sunflowers28 - 2020-01-01 09:56:00 |

| Happy New Year ladies :) I unpicked my cushion cover as I just wasn't happy with it and resewed it today. Much better, not perfect, but a heck of a lot better than my first attempt lol. https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1236077155.jpg kiwimade64 - 2020-01-01 16:24:00 |
| Ohh Kiwimade its lovely, It just looks like its been sat on a couple of times, I think its beautiful. Sunflowers sorry its been so hard for you, I had the 19th anniversary of my Stepfather dying on the 12th of dec. He is part of the reason that I will always do christmas, but MrPs actions this year made it the worst. Even the year Jimmy died, I knew he would want me to carry on as normal. And for some odd reason Mum didnt want his ashes at their house, so he stayed with us, under the tree behind a tray so she could see him there. Marypoppins we both have double beds, of which finding just double sheets isnt easy, so all our linen is queen. I started another painting today and its quite enjoyable, its for a gift so cant say on here lol. I realised that neither of us were in Hospital in 2019, so that was awesome lol. popeye333 - 2020-01-01 18:01:00 |
| Morning everyone Had a weird episode with my eyes yesterday. I think my blood pressure was at fault. Too low. But I ended up crosseyed for a couple of minutes. but it came right. And after my experience in hospital I started drinking more which raises your BP and all was fine again. Painting later, Im going to have to find one on here to do tho, theres no way they two I have will last till the others arrive. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-02 08:34:00 |
| Afternoon ladies :) Gosh the day is hazy today from the NSW bushfires. The moon last night was as orange as a carrot too. I must have slept in a weird position as this morning I could hardly move about. This afternoon my back is still sore but at least I am moving. So it's been an enforced slow day for me. Can't wait for yoga to start again next school term. I'll do some simple asanas shortly and see how I go, that should ease it a bit more. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2020-01-02 16:16:00 |
| Its horrible when you wake from sleeping sore isnt it Kiwimade. I have the worst sinus and nasal crap Ive had in ages, but there are multiple Privet trees between Waiuku and Pukekohe.. add the market garden fertilisors and it can be nasty.. I sound like I have a nasty head cold lol. I got a 2.5 kilo bag of kumara for $1-50 today, so now I will be able to have some without thinking of the cost..I also got 2 bags of lemons for $1 per bag And was given a clothes basket full of Rhubarb as well, so Ive postponed MrPs hair cut tomorrow, so I can juice the lemons and cook the rhubarb and freeze it.. Im soo pleased to be able to eat it . Hope ya bones feel better soon Kiwimade popeye333 - 2020-01-02 18:17:00 |
| Morning everyone Have a good day. Head not in a good place popeye333 - 2020-01-03 08:55:00 |
| morning ladies :) That's not good popeye, hope you see things clearer today. Yesterday the smoke haze was thick, we couldn't see the hills down the road. This southerly wind we have is blowing it away though today. Today is Wardrobe Day :P I thought I had a pair of grey diamante shoes (we have a wedding next week) but must have donated them to the Op Shop. And fossicking around looking for them made me realise just how much stuff is in the wardrobe we don't use. So today is the day :D Wish me luck! I'm picking away at my embroidered cat, I think I like the first one better but they will make a good pair on the wall. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2020-01-04 07:32:00 |
| Morning everyone Yes much better today, thank goodness.. By lunchtime the mood had cleared, nothing like a couple of hours in the kitchen to heal the mind. I was given a heap of rhubarb, and some were the thickest stalks Ive ever seen, resulted in 2.5 kilos into the freezer and a couple of breakfasts for me as well. Am feeling alot better including painwise this morning. Have to cut mrps hair and trim the beard. Ive got used to him having a goatee now. Kiwimade Ive tried to go through my wardrobe but it never seems to get any thinner lol.. probably cos I have my good clothes and when they start looking a little tired, I wear them for local town clothes, when they get more tired I wear them at home lol.. so it takes ages before anything is binned lol I thinned out my shoes a while ago, but really I dont need any of them cos I live in crocks and one pair of sparkly slip ons. Will take MrP up to the recycle centre today. I just have this feeling there is something there, calling me to go there. Its not often Im wrong.. They put up a photo of three Old prams, the regulations blue and white from the 70s, a beautiful Cane one and one that I think may have been older again.. They would look good parked in a large room, just for their quirckyness. Have an awesome day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-04 08:59:00 |

lmao good one! Love it lol Wardrobe is done, wasn't so much the clothes as what we had stored on it's floor. Photo albums of the kids stacked up, boxes of stuff that will never see the light of day. Albums are on the book shelf in the spare room (had to juggle things there too lol), MrK's shoes are in a basket... and... omg lol... he reckons I have lots of shoes... ummm… do a count up MrK and who has more? lol. I have a box of stuff to go to the op shop next week and a box of stuff binned. So a job ticked off the list. I need to spray weeds but the wind is huge here, usually it's calm first light but not this morning. So that's a job that will have to wait. The tree that lost a branch just before Christmas is waving madly in the wind.... I'm secretly hoping it will fall over. Might think abut lunch, must be some leftovers in the fridge. kiwimade64 - 2020-01-04 11:44:00 |
| Lol Sharon135 and Kiwimade .. hahaha Guess who didnt check things were normal english hahaha It terribly windy here too Kiwimade, its clearing the smoke haze off the hills so thats good. And the thing that was calling me was a hair dressers trolly.. Its been up there a while and when I saw it in todays photos on their FB page I knew I was getting it.. Have to sit there and pull then hair out of the wheels ( yuck) but it will run even better once that is done. Got a lovely piece of red and black checked material, 1.5 m wide by just over 5 ms long.. yay. Along with two near new single sheets and a single duvet, all for the grand sum of $5 for everything popeye333 - 2020-01-04 13:05:00 |
| morning ladies :) That was good buying, popeye. Damit, the tree is still standing lol. Another branch needs cutting off, MrK has to realise this tree is dying and needs to go. It's reasonably calm this morning so I'm heading out to spray the weeds in the driveway and around the back of the house. Crafting later today I think. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2020-01-05 07:47:00 |
| Morning everyone Its much calmer here too, Ill get some washing on the line today..We have a portable fold up line out the back. Cos the "Man" cos I figure it was a man, who designed the house put the close line down the side of the house that doesnt get any sun at all, and seldom gets wind. Yes I got good bargains yesterday, some things can be a bit pricier but more often than not you always get a bargain. MrPs hair etc this morning, that will make him happy. And rubbish and recycling. MrP husked the corn for me, so I blanched and froze those, measured up a bottle of cream that I got 2 litres for $5-50.. froze that and did the lemon juice as well.. Plus dishes etc so it was a busy afternoon. The freezers are officially full lol. Might be able to paint later... Wont be online in the morning, I have my final appointment at the superclinic, yay then I shouldnt need to go there all year . Have a fab couple of days everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-05 09:08:00 |
| Afternoon everyone. Well yestedays Orange sky was freaky, but Im glad its gone, it was eiry lol. Still smoke around but the ash is gone. Clinic appointment went well, did get rather unbearable at one stage, but they stopped and let me relax.. The other gynae I saw had her baby a very wee girl. But they are doing well. The roads were quiet too which was good. Hope everyone is well and being creative popeye333 - 2020-01-06 12:50:00 |
| morning ladies :) We've had a smokey haze over us for days now, our sunsets have been amazing. Sad though when you know the reason why. I'm picking away at my embroidery piece and think I still prefer the black and white cat. I had a text from the framers saying my two embroideries they have will be finished in a few weeks. Can't wait to have them on the wall. I have some old picture frames stashed away but nothing suited this time. When my sister moved house, she found two massive frameless mirrors Mum had packed up. Mum obviously was planning to do something with them but we'll never know what. My sister had no use for them so we took them. One will go in the bathroom when we do it up but MrK is going to make a big rimu frame for the other one to go in our bedroom. He said he will use the rimu timber he saved from our house renos five years ago. So that's the start of our room being done up. Happy crafting :) Edited by kiwimade64 at 7:33 am, Tue 7 Jan kiwimade64 - 2020-01-07 07:32:00 |
| Good Morning Ladies. I have been putting in long hours outside cutting down bites off the Silk Tree before someone hits their head. Yes, I have done that a few times. Cleaned up a veggie plot that has beennot used for a couple of years.Cleanup under the vine and now has net over it.Deaded roses and other other flower heads. Lawns get mowed today and two bales will go as well . Once I am ahead of the gardens,I will start on the outside of the house, wash it down. Once it gets a little cooler will start painting. That the plan..... Good hear your apointment went well for you Popeye. Had a littlelook in craft shop yesterday at the paintings. $12-$15 for a very small one. The pictures where not that great. . sunflowers28 - 2020-01-07 08:20:00 |
| Morning everyone Very windy here again, no smoke or dust. I love Rimu timber, years ago I brought two lowboys I suppose you would call them, I use them as bedside tables.. I would love to have them tidied up. They were $90 each but I think they are worth a good tidy up. But Im not letting MrP at them.. I like white furniture as much as Rimu and we already have one little badside table that he covered in paint, it was mums so her want.. I want it stripped and restored. Today is vacuuming and cleaning the canary cage. It almost needs a water blaster, but Im not setting that up lol. I put a hand held shower on the tap in the laundry tub so Ill use that. Thankfully there is good water pressure at that end of the house. Yeah Sunflowers the smaller diamond paintings never look as good as the larger more detailed pictures. A friend in Tauranga realised she had brought two the same when she visited Uncle Bills in Rotorua so is sending me one of them. So that and my mandala and the one Im working on should keep me going until the ones from Alli arrive. I finished my teatowel the other night. So will see how it goes... I will crochet one as well , alot faster but it will see which works the best. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-07 09:29:00 |
| morning ladies :) Nothing like bashing your head on a tree to make you prune it eh sunflowers lol. Lawn needs mowing again, bins are emptied so no excuses not to do it today. I'm going to Cambridge too, my sister has a photo scanner I'm borrowing as we have photos I can't find the negatives for and I want copies. Some embroidery later in the day but first, time to move and mow that lawn. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2020-01-08 07:38:00 |
| Morning everyone Yep or threatening them with a ground level hair cut lol. Not much on for me today, I must have slept crooked lol.. Then my twin rang and woke me from a deep sleep, but I must have jumped and knotted up lol. I started a yellow crochet teatowel last night. Im using double stands of cotton, so its much thicker and much faster to do too.. Once it is finished I will use both and see which is better to use.. And yep Im hoping its the crochet one lol. Our lawn people should be here today, there has been a little rain overnight but Im sure that wont bother them. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-08 09:10:00 |
| Morning everyone Slightly cloudy with a gentle breeze today which is nice. I only have a few things shopping wise today so have decided to stay local. Not that I like Nw prices but its a bit stupid to add petrol costs to so few things. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-09 09:12:00 |
| Good Afternoon or is Good Evening We must had some strong winds during the night or sometime today. Been sleeping on and off and reading in bed till an hour ago.today Had a bad head. Was up and made myself a drink or two but did not look out in the backyard. Opened the silding glass door and 1/3 of my silk tree has been blowen over. Did not hear a thing,as the bedroom is up the front of the house. Just glad it's the far side branch or it could of hit the carshed or the back of the house. I've I cut some scarves and bags out of wool blankets that I pickedup over a few years from the Sallie shops the last few nights. Left over pieces will make hot water bottle covers. They now charge alot for them now. sunflowers28 - 2020-01-09 17:49:00 |
| morning ladies :) Ohh dam about your silk tree, sunflowers. If it still has a nice shape, maybe it could be saved? I donated our old blankets and woolrest (over 35 years old all of them!) to our vet for the dog kennels. They were so thin and even had a few holes so no good for anyone. The vet was so appreciative of them as after surgery, animals need to be kept warm. Our granddaughter is visiting today with her other grandmother :) Haven't seen her for ages so will be good to have them both today. I've been scanning photos over the last few evenings, some good memories there. My goodness we were busy parents lol. And we've taken photos of pretty much everything lol. I might have time to stitch later today, haven't picked my embroidery up for a few days now. Happy crafting :) kiwimade64 - 2020-01-10 07:51:00 |
| Morning everyone Ohh Sunflowers sad about your tree... Hope you find a good solution. Have fun with your grandie Kiwimade, we havent seen ours for a couple of weeks but they are super busy so understandable. Im in a blah pain mood today, so I dont really expect to get anything done.. I sorted the diamonds for the last Mandala last night. Its the only picture I have left. But a friend is sending me one, and one has arrived in the country according to the tracking, so hopefully they will arrive soon. Cos the mandala is only a partial one so shouldnt take long to do. Have to sort our prescriptions out first tho cos Im extrememly low on Insulin and I shouldnt be. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2020-01-10 08:54:00 |
