Morning ladies - just - well my day hasn't gone to plan yet again. I was no sooner out of bed and my son phoned - odd I thought to myself - he is supposed to be on his way to Bali, but of course he had missed his flight (again). Last time he missed his flight back to NZ, today he hadn't even got out of the country. He checked in but he didn't make it to the gate in time because he is in a lot of pain walking. He's waiting for a hip replacement and his knee is giving him trouble because he's been trying not to hurt his hip if that makes sense. Must have his father's genes - my daughter had her hip replaced on her 48th birthday a couple of years back - nothing wrong with my hips touch wood.

Anyway he has managed to rebook and flies out around lunchtime - I told him not to dare leave the airport!

I'm so over this weather. It's blowing a gale, can't get out in the garden to do any of the dozens of jobs that need doing, can't seem to settle to do my knitting or crochet, or sewing come to that, but I really must make an effort. We had a very brief power outage today, but the way the wind is howling I wouldn't be surprised if we have more.

Have to nip into town to post a parcel. Tried to check my lotto ticket yesterday but it said results weren't available yet - odd I thought. When I checked, the dopey woman had given me a ticket for today when I bought it on Saturday. Oh well, maybe tonight I'll have a change of luck.

Flick I hope the medics are able to help your daughter - she really has been through the mill. Life can be very unfair at times.

I suppose I had better get myself into town before the weather gets any worse.

Goodmorning ladies The sun is out and everything is starting to dry out. Just got a text to say my lawnmower guy will mow today. Just as well the section has good draining. Washing on and have a loaf raising away in my hot water cupboard.It's a no knead recipe.
Made a couple of cards last night as I have birthdays coming up. My friend and her twin sister are off to Fiji Labour w/end for 2 weeks for their 60th. Her sister's son and wife are going to join them.
Have a share lunch to go today and was asked if I would make my bread rolls to go with the soup.My friend makes great soups. Will go for a walk along the seashore after lunch and see what the seas have washed up.
So that my day.

Kuaka had to smile when I read your your message about your son missing his flight. I have never missed a flight so far. Hubby was to fly from Flinders Island to mainland in OZ as he was making a quick trip back to England. He was will known to never be on time, so we had him leave 3 hours early on airclub plane. Cheaper to hire a club plane as there would be others going out as well. That was one time he didn't miss the plane.

Time to move the washing now waiting for to be hang out. it can wait to after the lawn is mowed around the clothesline.

Mornng everyone,
Its very dull and looks damp out there... Its soo changable these days.. it no wonder I used to get a cold at this time of the year. one day Id have the fan on, the next cold. Im cold today and would have stood in the shower for the whole day if I could.
Alas tho its shopping day.. Im going to nip into the warehouse and check out frames again , the last one I need to buy tho and will get some candy canes if I can for the kids lolly box. Im having fun filling that up.. I have to decide how to 'deliver" them to the kids. 3 boys 2 girls, I could get the pretty bags with the draw string and I can never remeber the name of the fabric, but want to think of what to do the boys in... Althought I Could do the ultimate many many layers of wrapping lol..
Well my replacement frame arrived yesterday,, at the old house.. so I finally met the new tennant. She is an older lady and has the same amount of cheek as I do, its no wonder we get on well lol..

Lol Kuaka at your son and sunflowers Hubby. My Aunty will be late for her own funeral, shes never on time. lol
MrP and I will be there before anyone else. we would rather be early than a minute late.
Well I better finish my list and get moving. I hope we dont get wet.

Morning ladies, popeye - talking about being late for your own funeral. I actually went to my best friends funeral a few years back, she was lovely and I miss her dearly - she was killed in a road accident - anyway she was English, from Yorkshire, and married to a Maori. They had the body lying in state at the marae, and when it came time to put the coffin in the station wagon that they were using as a hearse, they couldn't find the car keys, and she was an hour late. At one stage the vicar said that if she didn't hurry up we'd have to come back another day because he had another service to take. What a pantomime! Her name was Maggie and they played "Maggie May" several times. Always think of her when I hear it.

Op shop this afternoon for me. Last night I was at a friends, I'm trying to teach her to crochet and I think she is finally getting the hang of it. Last night we progressed from her just doing a chain and working back along it with double crochet (and a stitch which she invented !!!) and I started her on a granny square and she is so excited. She messaged this morning to say she's been telling her mum how excited she is to be making progress. I said a couple more sessions and she'll be making geckos for Christmas presents. Don't think she believed me. They are cute. She is the one who pointed me in the direction of the pattern and asked if she could do one. She said she needed to walk before she runs, I said she needs to crawl before walking.

Right, I'd better have something to eat, and tidy up my mess. I decided to go through several bags of wool yesterday and sort them out. I've still got bits sitting all round and I've invited another friend round for tea tonight, so I'd better get busy.

morning ladies :) omg kuaka, what a hoot. Imagine being late for your funeral lol.

Weatherwise it's overcast and cold this morning, can't believe we are still turning the heat pump on at this time of the year.

Today I have lots of paper/cardboard to burn. My sister had her new sofa delivered so I'm burning all the cardboard it was wrapped in. I kept the frost cloth they had over the fabric for the tomatoes and spring vegie plants. Packaging causes so much rubbish, I recycle or upcycle when I can but generally try and avoid products with too much of it. Unfortunately, when delivering furniture, they have to wrap it well. She also still has some packaging from her move to burn as well. I would have done it yesterday but the wind was huge!

I am still pottering away with the waxeye, it's an improvement on my last effort so I'm happy. My goal with 'thread painting' is to do a portrait of the Furry One :)

Morning everyone
I agree Kiwimade, we havent got heating on but the cardy and slippers are back. I got up to the bathroom at 6am this morning and the change in temp gave me a wheezy cough..
I have a couple of things to do up the road this morning then Ill be trying to repair this damn sign.
I swear its going to drive me insane lol. First one was crap, this one is good but its getting very hard to find a frame. And yesterday the corner of the skywatch magazine I was looking at got stuck, so I managed to pick it off but need to get some double sided tape to fix a now not sticky area. Arrghhhh lol....I wont let it beat me tho, im far to stubborn to let that happen lol.
After 15 years im finally drinking tap water, well after its been boiled and chilled, but its hard getting biled water cold enough to put into bottles, so Im going to get the "Spare" electric jug out and runtwo lol.. its made a huge dent in the amount of plastic recycling not having 7 bottles from water alone in the recycle bin.

Morning ladies, not sure what to do today. I'd like to go to Kerikeri to get a few things for the garden and check the spca op shop - they seem to have the best bargains - but I'm probably taking a friend on Tuesday as she has an appointment there and doesn't drive BUT I probably won't have time Tuesday to do much in the way of shopping so think I will go today. Decisions. Some days it's hard being me!

Son messaged yesterday to say he is safely in Bali. That was a relief.

No crafting yesterday as I worked at the op shop then invited a friend round for tea. She doesn't help with the cooking - she takes over! I had already put the chicken on, and we had roast potatoes, broccoli and cheese sauce, green beans, carrots and gravy, and she brought some prawns and avocado as an entree, and we followed up with ice cream. Half way through eating I remembered we hadn't cooked the roast onions or roast kumara that I had intended, but it didn't matter, I couldn't finish all mine, and I'm sure she had enough. Oh and then we scoffed some chocolate afterwards and had a couple of glasses of wine to wash it all down with.

Well I think I've decided to go to Kerikeri and then do some crafting this afternoon.

Good Morning Ladies, Slow start this morning got woken up around 4 this morning. Could not get to sleep again,so made myself a cuppa and read for about an hour. It was a car chase and they came in one end of the Cresent around and back out the other end. Not sure what going on here in Napier. Cars/vans are getting broken into,cars,vans taken. Houses getting broken into.
We have alot of people young and old living on the streets and 'P' is out there as well.So not a great start for the day. Yes I did go back to sleep.
All I wanted was to have an early night and a good sleep.

It's overcast and cold here today.Will go out later as I need a few bite and pieces.
Popeye when out and about have a look at the water filter jugs. I would not be with out my jug.
Glad you like the stitching on the chair Kiwimade. I'll try and post it to Popeye and Kuaka as well. Lovely piece of stitching that took 25 years to do.

if it's wet and cold this w/end I'll just stay warm and dry inside there heaps I can do.

Morning everyone.
Its been a windy night, still is but no rain as yet.

Ive booked myself a day off, so all Ill do is hang some washing on the airer , list a few things on here and then paint.
I have a nasty sinus headache this morning, even the nasal spray isnt cutting the mustard yet lol.. Thankfully they dont happen so often now.

Yesterday I had an awesome time at out oppy. I managed to find a brand new still on the box venetian blind for $5.. and when I got it home it is the same brand but longer than the smaller one I got a while ago.1.8 meters of blinds for $7 all up and the original price on the smaller one was $9..

AND

I managed to get a perfect wooden frame for the painting Im doing. Ive been looking everywhere online and in shops for a 50 / 50 cm frame.. And its in good nick, wiith glass and only $12... So once Ive finished and framed all the ones Ive done, I will feel rather chuffed.. I was starting to think Id never find one, or it would have to be a huge frame with alot of cardboard around the picture.

Morning ladies. Flick I've tried to do Tunisian crochet but found I was pretty slow. I have a friend who has terribly deformed hands through arthritis and she finds Tunisian crochet easier than ordinary crochet.

Been out this morning to meet a lady in Kawakawa who advertised some Elderberry plants on fb and I was prepared to go to Whangarei to get some but she was coming north so we met in the carpark. I'm just hoping these do better than the last ones I put in a few years ago. They looked sad for a while and then disappeared, and I'd bought 3 at $35 each. These look much better, a big one and a small one for $20 the two. Fingers crossed.

I ended up going to Kerikeri yesterday and was knackered when I got home at 5.30. Much longer day than I had planned. And then I forgot the fertilisers which was one of the reasons I went - but I got some this morning in Kawakawa. I have spent quite a bit on plants yesterday and today so I must get stuck in and plant them - tomorrow as I plan to go out this afternoon. Fingers crossed the weather is kind tomorrow.

Right, time to have a tidy up. My place is a shambles at the moment, but there's only me here to worry about it, so I'm not all that bothered.

morning ladies :) oh yummm elderberries! You can buy Elderberry concentrate in the supermarket, it's 'Barkers' brand is very good with soda water.

We're supposed to have a fine day so I'll weed along the road frontage today. It tends to be neglected. If the weather stays calm, I'll give the roses a quick spray too. Will check first if the bees are working, will give it a miss if they are.

I stayed up to watch the All Black thrash Ireland, don't have Spark Sport as our internet is rubbish so had to watch the delayed game. So I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning. Now bring on Japan v South Africa. I suspect SA will win this one, they don't want the embarrassment of loosing again to Japan, especially in a quarter final.

My waxeye is coming along nicely, only his legs and perch to stitch. A much better effort this time round.

Morning everyone
I got distracted yesterday, meant to ask what Elderberry tastes like?

I got all my listings etc done yesterday so was pleased about that. No success fees if you listed yesterday.

And got a complete section done on the painting, its coming along nicely maybe another week or so depending if I do anything else. I used the double sided tape to repair where I had peeled the stickyness off with the paper that got stuck, and even tho I didnt get it on perfectly, you cant tell where I did the repair, I probably couldnt even point out where it was.
I have Plenty of To-Do's waiting in the queu

Will have Izzy and her family or some of them visiting today. I think they are taking the boat home, or at least they are coming to move it so he can weedeat underneath it.. Its not in our way by anymeans and its perfectly safe where it is. But her Dad has finished servicing the motor etc.

Cant wait to see the waxeye Kiwimade,, and Kuaka can you post some pics of the toy puzzle things you make?

Good Morning Ladies. A lovely warm sunny day again today. Spend alot of time picking out onion weed yesterday. It's a never ending job in our gardens.
Was watching Home and Garden last night and fall asleep, so had the dishes to do this morning. Second night no kniting.
Another day outside.I need to get on top of these gardens. I must check the rose climber as well forsparying. It's putting on a good show.

A & P Show this coming week Wed,Thurs and Friday. Also an extra long weekend as Its HB Anniv weekend as well. By then I hope to have gardens ready for plants.

My mother was a great crocheter and perfered it to knitting. I can chain stitch that it! I perfer knitting and weaving.

Time to move as I have taken the nets down in bedrooms to wash and machine just finished.

Morning Ladies! Great sunny day here so will carry on outside. Clear the driveway weeds today as our lawn mower guy sprayed it for me last week.
Just looked up at my office window and it needs a good clean inside and out. Everytime I clean the windows it rains.
I started a wrap last night it's a Christmas/Thank you present. It's feels good to have some knitting to do.
Have to pop out later in the day to the Doctors for the results of some tests I had last week.

I have a couple of spaces in the garden that need filling so might go into town today to 'look' and find some ideas. The mondo grass mound is still there, I'm so good at procrastinating over this.

Morning everyone

Oh Kiwimade he is Beautiful... you did an awesome job...

Izzys family came around yesterday and gave us a longish container with lettuce seedlings for us, and we even managed to have it up off the ground since I cant bend that good.. her Dad weed ate under his boat cos he was shocked at how messy it looked. For some reason the lawn people dont go far under it lol.. it wasnt bothering us but he insisted on doing it.
It was funny cos ages ago I made Missy a Tunnel from cardbaord boxes.. with all the toys and technology kids have these days, they were all inclding Mr12 playing with the tunnel, they figured out if they had mirrors they would be able to look around the bend lol.
Floors for me this morning and we will do the veges etc for tea. A roast pork tonight Yay...
My ribs are sore today, I think I slept in a tight ball all night, but its a warning not to lift anything today. So Ive asked Izzys mum if I can borrow her muscles lol..
Two smaller rows on the painting, maybe a week to 10 days and I should be finished. Which I will say Ill be pleased about, cos then I wont have any time constraints.

Hope everyone is ok in Gisborne etc , I beleive there was an earthquake, dont know what size etc yet.

A blustery old day out there, but the sun is out. Roly is happpy to be sitting in the sun but the ranchslider probably wont be open again today. hes been through his first molt and its taken a toll on him, but he is starting to sing again, although I swear he sounds more like the sparrows that feed out the door lol
No major plans today, some washing and some painting. Getting closer to the end. and I will never do this one again , for anyone lol. Twice is more than enough lol

Good Morning Everyone. We had a gale winds and rain for about 30 mins at 8 this morning. Blue sky at present,but sure for how long.
Popeye,did not feel the EQ and I checked the site and saw no reports. We have EQ and never feel them.
In the middle of Spring Cleaning,have it finished by the w/end. Have boxed some of Mr M's Clothes. Going to take time I do 10-20 mins and have to walk out of the room and shut the door.
Making a card for someone who leaving and moving away to be closer to family. Perfer to do Book Art to making up a card.
Will the sun out and blue sky so let it stays that way.

Good Morning Ladies Sun out but not sure for how long,weather report is heavy rain and winds today. . Had a look a t the fruit trees last night alot of fruit on the ground so will not have very good crops this year.
Off to have a look at a couple of things in the local weekly auction this morning.
Played around last night doing some stitching on a pair of jeans. Given a couple of pairs.

morning ladies :) We had a wild night last night, a huge storm passed over us. It's bucketing down now too and I think we will keep the kettle filled with water as I suspect power lines may come down with this wind.

Yesterday I dug the mondo grass out. Put the spade under it, stepped back to put my foot on the spade to jiggle it and landed flat on my ar** lol. Thank goodness the Furry One was the only one to see me lol. He was so concerned, licking and nudging me to see if I was ok. So this morning I have a bruised butt lol. But at least it is gone.

A good day for crafting, it's almost like winter out there. Ironing first though, I have a big pile to do. I iron as the linen has to be tidy so it can fit into the spaces I have.

Morning everyone
It sure is wet and windy, hail earlier too.. It wasnt easy to sleep through, Normally Missy will sleep through thunder but she sure jumped at the first one we had, must have been very close, she came up and slept in my arm after that.
Have to take MrP down to do his bloods this morning, something I cant do for him lol...
Then a friend I have made from FB and from hatsings is stopping in to pick up the books she brought from me. Shes up this way helping a friend move so it worked out to be good timing to pick them up.
I wonder if you have ever stop at her stall at the Farmers Markets Sunflowers, she sells free range eggs, jams, baking and lemons etc. And shes high up in the farmers market group, shes been on tv talkiing about it all too.
so I better get some stuff done before she arrives.

morning ladies :) I've been to that farmers market, popeye. We were in Napier about five years ago for a family birthday. We all went in to hire a holiday home and stayed a few nights.

Today I have some garden rubbish to burn if the weather plays nice. Am still a bit stiff and sore from landing on my ar** the other day and I can't sit for long. Seems to be my thing, that's twice this year I've fallen backwards.

I've run out of embroidery thread for a Christmas pressie so that will have to wait until I go to Tauranga or Hamilton next week. The haberdashery shop here sells Anchor and I prefer DMC.

I have an art deco blanket box in our room and MrK has asked me to sew a cushion for the lid as he likes to sit on it to put his socks on - omgg lol... men! So I thought I might heavily embroider one. I have the idea in my head, just need to let it sit there for a few days and 'evolve' as this will be quite a big piece.

Still wild and woolie here and very dark.

Maggie goes to Rotorua farmers Market too, man she must do some miles ina week. was lovely to meet her, it was soo windy when we were putting the books in the car that I stood behind the doors to stop them blowing backwards.

I agree re Men Kiwimade, mine is in fine form at the mo, not lol... I could have easily walked out and left him at the medlab yesterday,, but I didnt. Arrghhh they realy do go through a second childhood lol. Lucky Im not a drinker or Id have hit the bottle lol

Shopping this morning, petrol first since Gull has 21 cents off for today and till noon tomorrow, so $1-95.7 a litre. of course its on my poor week,,, insurance week lol.. but Thankfully the shopping list is small.

Having done two now I wont miss the colours but the larger one is wayyy better.. and oddly they are the same pictures, but there are colours tat arent in both.
Trying to decide which one to do next, might do the Indian cheif for my bil, its for his 80th next May but they are selling their camper so we might see them before and that would mean I could frame it , if we dont see them Ill send it to them with a voucher for a frame lol.

Hi Ladies, Popeye I have not been to the Sunday Hastings Farmers Market for over a year now. I go to our Napier Farmers Market which about half size of Hastings Farmers Market .Alot do both markets.
After the rain this morning it's been fine,just winds knocking the fruit off the trees. Not sure what our stone fruit going to be like. this season.
Did a quick shop at the s/market this morning. As we have a 4day w/end it will be a busy w/end here in the Bay. Not sure what you ladies think but I don't like the price of meat these days. Have been looking at fares from Napier to Hamilton for Christmas/New Year.
Kiwimade,yes it's not funny when one falls backwards and it takes for ever to heal.
Time for me to prepare a salad for tea as I had a salad roll for luch and then was parted a piece of chicken and some chips. As there is only a small group at our local Polytech base we all share something at luchtime. Fruit,cakes cold drinks etc.

morning ladies :) Your painting looks much better in the bigger size, popeye. You can actually read it properly.

Gull's 21c a litre off petrol was very welcome yesterday, was down to $1.86 here. I read Te Kuiti has the cheapest at $1.70. We didn't need much in the tank but still worth our while to fuel up. I have the app Gas Spy on my phone and that tells me where the cheapest fuel is closest to me. Oh and Gull's petrol special is on until midday today.

All the usual stuff to do today, lawns need mowing again... sigh... guess it's back to weekly mows now. MrK has to do his bloods, his INR has been going a bit wonky over the last few weeks. Every so often this happens. So I might pop into town with him, will see how I go.

Washing machine has beeped so that's my cue to get moving.

Morning everyone

I agree with you both ladies falling backwards takes alot out of you, my back and tail bone wont ever be the same I think.

And yes Sunflowers meat prices are horrendous. I did get a bargain yesterday tho, they had the 350 gram packs of bacon pieces for $1-99.. I put two in the trolley and was going to grab a packet of sizzlers, cheap but I like the double cheese ones, cos we are inbetween visits to our fave butcher, and I thought nah Ill get better value from the bacon, so I grabbed two more, so 1.4 kilos of bacon for $7-96.
Hopefully like last year Pak n save will have some good specials on red meat. No wonder there are so many aneamic people in the country.

MrP was in fine form yesterday again, Im starting to think its the new med. I may have to remind him hes turning into his father, and he doesnt like it, Ive ony told him that once before and it worked. I dont like doing it, but I also dont need to put up with his tantrums either.

Yeah Im very pleased with the larger picture.. and enjoying it a little better now I have the frame lol.

Still windy here, Im over it lol.. I thought the trees might shelter us a bit more, but then maybe they do and it could be worse lol..

Blowing a gale here too. The cat mint plants that I have been growing on to get them to a decent size for her ladyship, are now looking worse for wear, so I've watered them and brought them in out of the wind. If I just plant them as I buy them from Bunnings, she wrecks them in about 3 days.

Have a market tomorrow, no cruise ship, but it might be busy with visitors - here's hoping. I have 3 bags half made, so I'm going to the sewing room shortly to finish them, and I have a dinosaur I want to finish, it has taken me forever as I lost interest in it, but last week I sold a cow and a giraffe so I only have two octopusses so I really need to get the dinosaur done. I was hoping to also do some pumpkins for tomorrow, but that's not looking likely and want to make some more beaded bookmarks, wine glass charms and stitch markets. I know I won't get it all done, but I'll do my best.

I think my friend has finally got the hang of crochet, she's so excited to be able to do a granny square, but she does have trouble with the corners, I'm not sure why, but last night she managed to do one corner all on her own and got it right. There's light at the end of the tunnel.

Good Morning Ladies. First sorry for yesterday message and spelling. I came home to see two windows broken in the front. No one had called me or anyone else.. So a good start to my long w/end as we have today off as it's HB Anniversary w/end. Was going to go the the A & P Show today with friends .Been outside picking up glass in the garden this morning. Cleaned the glass up inside yesterday. Yes, tears and again this morning.
What a good buy on the bacon Popeye. Sure have to shop around these days.We have a New World that staff check meat specials and dates late a/noon and reprice it and goes back out late a/nnon early evenings.Have got some good buys.
Will go into the farmers market this Saturday and buy my herb and tomatoes plants now the ground is ready. Flowers plants next w/end.
Coffee break over so better move.Sun is out and ground is easy to work with at present. Had rain and wind last night,

Good Morning Ladies. Sun out so hopefully we have a sunny day. Off shortly to a gym class and into town to the farmer's market. Hopefully come home with some plants.
My friend and her twin sister leave to go to Fiji for 8 days today. They turn 60 on Monday.
Do some baking this afternoon as I am going out for dinner tonight and will take a sweet dish.

morning ladies :) What a buggar about your window, sunflowers. Did someone deliberately break it?

We're looking after friends animals while they are away over the next few days. MrK will feed them and make sure there is enough water. And we can take any eggs from the chooks which is nice too. We might toddle off somewhere but prefer to wait until everyone is back at work and have the beaches pretty much to ourselves.

Am still mulling over what to stitch for this cushion, it will have to be quite sturdy as it will be sat on. And I've run out of thread for the embroidery I'm stitching on a tote bag for a Christmas present. So I've picked up a piece of hardanger fabric and am making up a pattern as I go to tide me over. Might end up a gift, or I might keep it. But it is fun just to wing something for a change.

The sun was out and the wind had calmed but that has changed lol... nevermind Im not outside today so it wont matter lol.

Wow sunflowers thats rough about the windows, Gotta wonder why they do these sorts of things, like when our car windows got smashed..

Enjoy the markets ladies, there was a big car boot sale last weekend but I on purposley didnt mention it to MrP.. it would be too far to walk for him.

Speaking of eggs Im getting some home grown ones this weekend too, yay. But I wont bake cos I ended up freezing all but the afghans from the last baking session... Ohh I noticed this morning there is a recipe for Coffee Afghans and thought Yuck, they shouldnt mess with something thats not broken lol. I have a friend who would love them tho she is addicted to coffee Im sure lol

I have 5 empty banana boxes already in the spare room, starting on a second for a garage sale and starting ona second that will go into the craft room. Everything was packed soo fast that it was poor packing really.. Trying to decide what to do with that room, I might find a bed for it and store some boxes underneath it..

morning ladies :) I won't mention the All Blacks lol, when all said and done, it's a game.

Two loads of washing out already, it's supposed to be a stunner of a day once the clouds burn off. We'll be outside to make the most of it.

I've found a design for the cushion MrK wants me to make, it's art deco style as the blanket box is also art deco. Just need to take it into town with me next time I go to have it enlarged and decide on colours. In the meantime I'll have a tutu with couching as I think this design will look great stitched this way.

Morning everyone
Yep its just a game and I often think that I would get bored with a comptetion where the same person or team wins.
The sun is out here and not alot of wind at present. We saw our first fly yesterday, and thats for the whole time we have been here lol.. So not bad going
I got alot done in the spare room yesterday. It still looks bad but I have 9 empty banana boxes and 2 plastic crates, 3 of stuff that I need in the rest of the house and 3 for a garage sale. So Im not doing too bad.
A day off today tho to get the pain undercontrol lol,, well after Ive loaded the dishwasher and done the lounge floor lol
I have 2 colours to finish on one section of the painting and then two more.

Good Ladies, Yes it was a deliberately Kiwimade two other places had windows broken in the street. I am so lucky that so many trade people where our customers and some became friends as well.It was Knock off time when they came out and put the new glass in.

Enjoyed the game and had lots of laughter & fun. Mr M family in England also watched and we keep up by leaving messages on FB. Yes , I enjoyed it, first game I have watched for sometime.
Went into the farmers market and brought some plants that will go into the ground today. Herbs will go onto pots for a change. It was a lovely warm sunny day so brought a s/wich and coffee took myself down to the waterfront. It was good to see so many making use of the path that runs along water front.Heaps of small boats out as well.

If you are doing the marklet this w/end hope you get lots of sales Kuaku. Not sure what tour ships are around at present. We have had a few in.

Popeye you sound like you are keeping busy clearing away boxs that you need to unpack. I have to have a look around for some drinking glasses in the shed I'm sure there still some out there not unpacked. We where so busy with the business and stock that we left some boxes to open.

Morning ladies, beautiful day here. I was very tired yesterday when I came home from the market, covered myself with a throw and sprawled out on the settee and had a nap. Slept like a log last night too.

It was very quiet at the market, the few people who came in kept their money firmly in their wallets mostly. I think most people were in Russell as the Coastal Classic (yacht race from Auckland to Russell) still had boats finishing and the harbour was jam packed with yachts and no doubt lots of sailors ashore.

I'm going to do some gardening shortly. Have to make a start planting the things which I bought over a week ago before they turn their toes up. It's a perfect day for it, but I doubt my back will let me do all I want to. I'll stop when I know I've done enough, no sense in ending up unable to move.

My son made me laugh yesterday, he said he had checked into a different hotel and asked at reception if there was a swimming pool. Yes was the answer. Cool he thought. But when he went to go for a swim, here was this lovely big swimming pool - empty. No water!

Right, time for a coffee then I must get out in the garden.

We went to the beach again yesterday as it was such a gorgeous day. Lots of people out and about and the water was lovely and warm. It was right on low tide so a few pools of water here and there which were perfect for any littlies to play in. And there was no wind, it was just a perfect spring day.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today, but there is a jasmine vine taking over a camellia bush that is calling my name to prune it back. There will also be some stitching. Am having a tutu with hardanger to tide me over until I can buy more thread when in Hamilton or Tauranga next week. Hate having lots on the go but it will all get finished.

Lol Kuaka, well I guess your son has learnt not to take eberything for granted lol..
I did quite a bit of painting yesterday and I plan on working hard today to get it all but done I hope.
Have decided as far as doing either the Indian cheif or a little partial for a break then the Indian. mrPs brother will love the indian. I asked my sister in law which the bro would like a squaw or cheif, lol she said cheif lol.

So no mucking around.. Ill get a couple of things done here and get painting

Good Morning Ladies. Overcast today and rain sometime today after a lovely sunny day yesterday.Weather is been good so far for the long w/end. Did you feel the E/Q anyone this morning just before 6am.?.
Plants are in and so far looking ok. Spring cleaned most of yesterday. Did not watch the game last night,read my book.
Had to smile about the swimming pool Kuaku.

Off out to a vineyard for lunch later today with friends from out of town.
Otherwise I have been mucking around this morning.

Morning ladies, I must get cracking, I slept in and I'm still not showered or dressed, but seeing as I plan to get stuck in and do more gardening today, I might leave the shower till later, 'cos yesterday I worked up quite a sweat.

I was searching for something in the cupboard under the stairs earlier this morning and found two boxes that I hadn't unpacked from moving from Russell almost 13 years ago. Curiosity got the better of me, so I opened them. Monopoly, jigsaw puzzles and heaps of yarn - most cotton, crochet thread. I haven't missed any of it, wonder if I really need it????

morning ladies :) I guess that gorgeous day on Saturday was just a peek of what to expect for summer, it's overcast and miserable here.

The traffic has been horrendous, so many people heading home from the long weekend. It was bumper to bumper and almost at a standstill at the Pairere intersection right through to Karapiro yesterday.

I'm just pottering away with my hardanger, still fiddling around with the edging. I like to work from the outside in. I'll buy more thread sometime this week to finish the embroidery on the bag I'm sewing. Will finish this hardanger piece before starting the cushion. I need to practice some of the stitches for the cushion first.

Morning everyone
Yes overcast here again, there has been rain overnight.

Im so pleased to have finished the painting. I will take a photo later and count the diamonds, cos I like Numbers..... Do you like to know numbers of things Kiwimade? Im thinking it may be a taurean thing or maybe it comes from my methodical mind.

Im going to change a few things around a bit today. I have 2 slim under the bed containers of eyelash yarn that I will put into the big crate I emptied the other day, and that can go on top of the pantry where the slim containers have been, and have one with knitting I have done, I will pack some up for beanies for babies, ending up with 4 underbed storage, so I can tuck it away under the beds. And some of the remaining banana boxes can go under MrP's bed too.
My plan is to make the spare room a bedroom, working as cheaply as I can once again lol.
I have decided to do my Poppy painting next. I ordered one back when I was doing MrP's indan but it never got here. So I got one a few weeks ago. Its only a partial which is dissapointing, but at least I will finally have one.

I have to start framing the pictures too.

Morning ladies, yesterday I mowed one of my lawns but didn't get any planting done but while I was searching for something in the cupboard under the stairs I found two boxes still sealed from when we moved from Russell almost 13 years ago. Curiosity got the better of me and I took them upstairs and opened them to find they contained heaps of jigsaw puzzles and heaps of crochet thread - like I need any more thread or yarn. One of the jigsaws is of the twin towers in New York. My friend said "oh that's collectable - sell it on trademe". I wonder. Course a friend called round to pick up some trousers that I had shortened for him, and I must admit I was a bit embarrassed at the state of the place with some of the contents of those boxes still sitting where I'd emptied them, 'cos to be honest I have no idea where to put them.

Tired last night but I couldn't sleep when I got to bed. Last time I looked at the clock it was 3am, and then I went into a deep sleep, and didn't wake till after 9, was almost 10 before I dragged myself out of bed.

I might plant a few things this morning as this afternoon is my usual mah jong session. I know I won't get all the plants in, but if I do a few today and some more tomorrow, it will make a difference.

Morning Ladies. A slow start today. It's warm and sun now. Yes, I enjoyed catching up with friends and we had lovely lunch Kuaka. The weather was sunny for most of the w/end as well.
Yesterday I walked down to the shops get some milk and could hardly walk back. Not sure what wrong with my right leg Rested up for a while and read my book.Is my body telling me something???I'm not sure.

My herbs and salad greens are planted that I got at the market Saturday.
Casted on the stitches for a scarf for a thank you present. Its mohair in black and red.
The roads around here where busy over the w/end. Friday the traffic was bumber to bumber,cars leaving to go home after theA & P show and cars coming in for the w/end.
Time to move as I have some jobs that need ticking off that I didn't get to do over the w/end.

Looks like it's going to be a sunny day so today I'll tackle the jasmine. It's taking over and smothering a camellia and needs a good hack back. So I'll be up the ladder at some stage today. Fingers crossed I don't fall off!

I've almost finished the embroidery for the bag, it can be sewed up this week. Will be good to have that finished. The hardanger I've started will be a wedding present I think. We have a wedding to go to in January :) And I'll start looking around for the fabric to sew the cushion MrK asked me to make. I need something fairly firm to take the heavy embroidery. It's a case of I'll know it when I see it.
