I reckon you can never have too much wool either

Morning ladies, miserable day here, cold, overcast, windy, we've already had a heavy shower and looks like there's more to come. As you say popeye, typical school holiday weather.

I don't like the sound of your day yesterday sunflowers. It must have been awful.

I didn't have a good day yesterday, woke at 4am and only just made it to the toilet, and I had a severe case of Delhi belly. Not sure if it was a bug or something I ate or my diverticulosis playing up, but I spent half the night and half the morning on the toilet. I suspect it was a bug because when I got into bed on Monday night I suddenly felt very sick so I got up and got a bucket and put beside the bed, but thankfully didn't need it.

Then I discovered when I went to do the dishes that the kitchen sink was blocked and of course I don't have a plunger thing (well I do - it's on the boat!) so I cursed but eventually got the blockage cleared with boiling water and lots of dish washing liquid then I discovered that the sink had been leaking and everything in the cupboard was wet. What a job cleaning that up.

So I went to mah jong only to collect the money and say I wasn't staying (I had the "attendance list" which I needed to drop in or I would have just phoned someone and asked them to collect the money) so my friend gave me a hug and sent me home and she collected the money.

Bunny club lunch today, and I'm pleased to report that I feel well enough to go.

Will have an easy afternoon and do some knitting or crochet, ready for the next market on Saturday.

Try to make the best of your day everyone.

afternoon ladies :) Wow sunflowers, you certainly had it all yesterday. We heard you had had an earthquake. I hired the rug doctor yesterday and cleaned the carpet. It's pretty much dry now as all windows were open and the heat pump on all day yesterday.

I was coming home from Hamilton around lunchtime and had to stop as a truck was on fire. I saw the smoke before I saw the truck and a Higgins roadwork crew was in the process of stopping everyone. Loads of smoke and flames across to our side of the road. The Higgins guys did a great job :)

Time for lunch, the weather is cold and miserable so a good chance to stitch.

Happy knitting :)

Good morning everyone.

Isnt love grand, I now have MrP's cough, cold headache lol... But one must carry on and thankfully I dont get this way often.

I got alot of my painting done yesterday.. Which is good cos the new one has arrived in the country.. so fingers crossed it will only be a couple of days before it gets here.
The frames I ordered from Kmart 2 days ago will be here today , awesome service from them. And only $5 delivery, it would cost us $20 to go to the closest shop which is Manukau city.

Shopping at some stage, Id happily stay home but Ill get it done and dusted and then stay home for the rest of the week.

I hope everyone is well, stay warm, its cold here this morning, or its me thats cold lol

Hav a fab day

afternoon ladies :) I have just finished shoveling two trailer loads of garden mix soil, one onto the garden and the other into a pile on the concrete for MrK to use in the vegie boxes. We'll return the trailer after lunch. So a good morning's work :)

The Fluffy One goes home tomorrow, thank goodness. Our boy is over her visit I think and they have already had one scrap. The saying familiarity breeds contempt comes to mind.

Time for lunch, I'm starving.

Happy knitting :)

Yay
The first fine day for shopping for many weeks lol.

Stuck within my budget so Im pleased about that.. Got home intime for the courier to arrive, so no worries about things walking from the front door.

Quite a whilw ago I told Izzys mum that we would take care of the lollies for the kids at christmas, cos they have had alot of extra expenses this year, and havent been able to do a chirstmas club either. So I get something every week. Today the warehouse didnt have the bags of lollie pops that I wanted to get, so I got chupper chups, I dont remember the last time I got them but I thought $1-65 for this weeks loly budget was rather good lol.. Im getting a really varied and big stash lol they seldom have them so I thought it was a fun way to spoil them without it costing too much lol... Just have to keep grandad out of them lol

Time to sit and let the meds work lol

morning ladies :) Foggy here and I am really hoping the sun comes out today. Yesterday I dug out a clematis that had died - am gutted as it had the most amazing blue flowers. I also dug out some bulbs that have never flowered so now I have a space to replant. So overall a productive day. Am still eyeing up the last mound of mondo grass that will be dug out.

I tried to upload a pic of the waxeye I embroidered but for some reason my computer won't upload photos again. And it's just after another Microsoft update (again!). So will have a tutu and see if I can sort that out. Am back to working on the cat, have started again (sigh) but this is what I do if I'm not happy with anything. No puckering this time so my tension must be improving.

Coffee finished, washing machine beeping. That's my 'bat signal' to move.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone,
Chilly here and it was clear as a bell an hour ago, now the clouds have come in and its been lightly raining.

I ahve to contact Kmart this morning, one of the frames is damaged and it was damaged before it was wrapped in the mile of bubble wrap.. A bit dissapointing for my first online buy from them. If they werent for a present I wouldnt worry, Id use a vivid and black it out. But I wont do that for a girft.

No plans for me today really, I want to get this picture done before the last gift one arrives so Ill put some serious hours in for the next few days.

Its annoying when photos wont work eh Kiwimade. When I was getting dressed this morning Missy sat in the shoebox that lives on my bed with bikkies for her overnight ( its only ever hit the floor once in 4-5 years) anyway she has defintely put weight on, she has a hang over that wont fit in now lol.. I had my phone so took a few photos, will check them out later lol

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning ladies. Warm and sunny here today,so making the most of it as raining heading here over the w/end.
Had to phone for a plumber this morninga and fingers crossed they will come this afternoon. Have a very wet floor in the toilet, have takeyp the floor covering and floor very wet,so turned the tap off. Just as well we are on friendly turns and will send their guy come out this pm for me.Just another bill to pay.
Had the car wof done yesterday. I am just so lucky with the trade people as many where our customers when we had our business. I only have to phone and ask. Others call or pop in to see if I'm ok or need help.

What on my needles a wrap and it slowly getting there. It's a present,so have a deadline to work too.
Been busy in the gardens. Be visiting the garden centre this w/end.
Right! time for me to move and hang out the washing and do a couple of jobs before I head out for an hour or two.
Happy Crafting and have a great day everyone.

Afternoon ladies, I didn't get to sleep till after 4.30 so of course I was very (very) late getting up - almost 11am, and I feel like the walking dead at the moment, but still I have managed to do some sewing, and will have a bite to eat and then do some more. I've got a market tomorrow so I will need to have an early night as I have to be up at 6 to get organised - I can assure you I am not looking forward to it.

I decided to list my lace making bobbins which I'm never likely to use again, but have only managed to find the plastic ones that I bought to start with, can't seem to find the plain wooden ones nor the fancy wooden ones. They will be here somewhere in a safe place - now if only I could remember where I thought was a good safe place for them!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

morning ladies :) Raining and cold here today, can't believe we were in t shirts and working outside the other day in the sunshine.

Lace making is something I wouldn't mind having a go at, but I wonder if I would have the patience. I guess it would be a long term on-going project. I read online we are in for a bumper cruise season this year so hopefully that will help at the markets, kuaka.

A busy family day here today so not much crafting will be done I would imagine. So I won't make it to the pop-up wool shop in Hamilton today :(

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Overcast at the mo but it does brighten up for the afternoons...

I got many hours of "painting" done yesterday... And I dont have alot left to do. Two ays at the most, depending how close I get to the end today.
Three parcels yesterday, so Ive got a birthday present for July sorted... My poppies arrived, but Im not in like with it at the mo. lol Im sure it will grow on me, and the larger sign arrived, so I have that Pressing under the board my lappy sits on, on my tray table.. It should be alot flatter by the time Ive finished the birds lol.
No more parcels for me now until near the end of January, cos I dont like things getting caught up in Christmas mails.

Yeah I think I would like lace making too Kiwimade and Kuaka..

Have an awesome day everyone

morning ladies :) That's lovely, popeye! Well done :) I hope you are keeping this one.

Flick, I saw the weather had turned interesting down south lol. Typical spring, isn't it.

Finally feel the garden is back on track after the winter slowdown. I've been potting up my smaller spring bulbs into shallow pots as I keep loosing them in the main garden. I suspect they get caught up with weeds and are being pulled out. This way, when the bulbs have finished flowering, I can move the pot. MrK has finished repairing the outdoor table and it looks great. So nice to be able to sit outside with our cuppas and not have to doge the broken slats with our cups.

I'm still working on my cat, am happy with it so far. The waxeye I was working on as a 'fill in' is still there but I'm not happy with my thread painting. Have done a much better job of thread painting on my cat so maybe the waxeye was meant to be as my 'practice' piece. I will go back to it and keep working it.

Happy knitting :)

here's a couple of photos of my cat and waxeye. As you can see, the waxeye's stitching is pretty rough compared to the neck of the cat. But overall, for my first attempt at needle painting and from my own photo, I don't think I did too badly. Now I seem to have the method sorted in my head, I'll have another go at the waxeye when I have finished the cat.

Good Morning Ladies, Another sunny day here and looking forward to enjoying it.I picked up a bug last week spend most of the time around home. Had to call the plumber in on Friday a leak in the pipe that water used to fill toilet. Floor was very damp.Still drying out. Just glad the floor covering was not glued down. Yesterday I gave everything a good clean down
So not crafting .Read most of the time and resting.
Popeye love the painting. Is this staying at your place or is it a present? Do hope it's going on one of your walls.Still not checked this craft out yet. Perhap when things come right and I finish a catching up on other things. Replanting my herb garden in a new spot.

Kiwimade hope you enjoyed your family day over the w/end. Your stitching is looking good. Like the colours you are using.
Hope you are enjoying the markets Kuaku. We had our first boat in for the season last week.. See in the paper we have 80+ calling into Napier this season.
I try and not go into town when the boats are in port. Enjoy seeing them coming in and going out of the port.
Time for me to move and catchup on some jobs that I missed doing .
Happy crafting ladies.

Morning everyone

Ohh yes this one is staying with us. Every time I went onto the websites to look it kept coming up, so I said to MrP we were meant to have it. it wont be framed yet tho cos I still need to get one for the last present.
I nearly cried with happiness when I saw it as a whole picture, standing away from it..

Everyone has been busy, I hope the floor doesnt take long to dry Sunflowers, I remember when a hot water cyclinder fell apaprt we had a heack of a mess cos it was right next door to my wardrobe, se we didnt notice it straight away it took days to dry including using the dehumidifier.

Kiwimade I love your stitching, and I prefer the waxy to the cat. I like Both but the waxy is my pick lol.. the colours are absolutely perfect.

I started putting the diamonds into the containers last night. I havent finished cos someone needed her lap time last night. So once I have done the floor I will get that done.

Its overcast here today, I should be tending to the small garden here but I just cant be bothered lol.

Have a fab day everyone

phew, more concrete reinforcing mesh is nailed to the fence to support two climbing roses - it works well for this. And the roses have been retied. Now they can both spread like I want them too. Small spring bulbs have been potted up and some weeding done.

Thank you for the comments about my embroidery. The cat is a bought pattern and the waxeye is from a pic I took. I have heaps of colours so luckily was able to match the greens and mushroomy pink without too much fuss. There is a companion pattern for the cat so might do that one as well, one for each spare room.

Time to pick the rose thorns out of my hands - and yes, I do wear gloves lol and have some lunch.

Hi everyone haven't posted in a while but i always read this thread every day.
Kiwimade you are so talanted I love both of your projects so much work involved. As it was raining most of the weekend I got the spinning wheel out found a 100gm bag of brown alpaca that I had forgotten I had plyed it with a slightly lighter merino so pleased with how it spun up.catching up on the baby knitting now using cotton for summer babys.
popeye those diamond paintings look lovely but i don't think my eyes couls handle it. must get out and do some weeding while the sun is out
have a great day everyone

Total Diamonds... 30,929.... Phew.

I wasnt sure if my eyes would be good enough either Lindyloue, but having a back light helps alot. I work on my eye sight but check with a magnifying glass.

morning ladies :) Overcast here, am so over this changeable weather.

woahhh popeye, that's a lot of diamonds. My eyes couldn't cope with it either, I need a magnifying glass sometimes for my stitching so those diamond paintings would be a nightmare for me.

Nice to see you posting lindylou :) and thank you for the compliments. I have stitched the face of the cat and the ears and the next step is the 'mane' down the neck. The bedroom I plan to hang it in is grey, white and yellow so it should fit perfectly.

A bit more weeding to do - it's full war now against the weeds - and then I might tackle the mondo grass mound. The first one I dug out was hard slog so not expecting this one to be any easier.

Crafting this afternoon I hope.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Yep its alot of diamonds, but it doesnt feel like your doing that many lol.. The one Im doing now are round diamonds and they are slightly bigger. Its also faster than the squares. Im recording my hours again, cos I like that sort or thing lol.

I feel blah again today but I have to pop out for milk and possibly a pressure cooker that I dibsd on FB last night. I havent checked it yet.. $10, I dont think she knows what she is selling and it looks very modern too.

I hope everyone has an awesome day

Looks like it might be a nicer day today.

Im working away on my painting, its certainly going alot faster than the birds.
I have to nip up for milk and Ill do my bloods as well.. Until last night I still hadnt heard about the pressure cooker.. Normally its the buyers that stuff people about, but this time it looks like its the seller.

I ordered Roly , our canary some song restorer, we dont know why we didnt think of it ages ago. Its like a Mulitvitamen or power boost for them when theygo through the molt etc. So hopefully that will boost him up some. he is trying to sing again, and I admit learning "Canary" speak has been a mission for me lol...
Alot of pain today so I dont plan on doing much else

Good Morning Ladies. Another warm sunny day here again. Finally over the bug that hit me late last week. Been busy in the garden and house the last couple of days. Just waitng to see how big my plumbing bill will be .Also getting a quote from them for the new firebox. Needs to be replaced after the 1st of Jan'20.
Done very little crafting lately, need to get on with my knitting.
Just hope it's fine for the w/end as I 'm going to the Garden Centre to do some shopping and a coffee with my friend.

Look forward to seeing your stitch projects Kiwkimade. Yes,the water is starting to wram up here at the beaches.Which beach was you visiting yesterday? Like it as a child when we spend some lovely days out at the beach. Mainly along the Thames Coast as that where my dad came from.
Timeto move as I 'm going out for a while today.

Morning everyone
Yesterday was warmer... Where I sit there is no window , so I put my fan on. I like moving air in my face, so I will rely on the fan even more this year. I noticed last week that the warehouse had theirs out in the shop already.

Went and did my bloods, Yay it was good so I can have a 3 week break this time.
I went to the oppy and found a beautiful baby and young kids knitting book.. If anything could get me back into knitting that book will.. It has a Balet wrap only up to 4 years old from memory but what sold me was an adorable little pair of Moss stitch shoes... The picture has them in red with white crosstitch X's across the toes.
Only did one section of painting yesterday but Im close to the edge and the panel is 4 inches deep so Im pleased with my progress.

Shopping today and I must go to the asian supermarket, they usually have asparagus cheap, nice thin stalks not big fat woody ones.

morning ladies :) We went to Mt Maunganui, sunflowers. It's our 'go-to' beach as it's close. Yesterday we were in Rotorua walking through the redwoods. We plan to do the treetop walk after the school holidays - it was busy as heck with tourists and school kids. Did have a laugh, a lovely family from overseas were there with their two kids, the littlest was about 2 years old and the oldest around 10. All the littlie wanted to do was play in a puddle with a stick lol and when they started the tree top walk, he discovered the roller and heavy machinery on the road so wanted to just watch the men working from the platform. All this way to NZ to watch road workers working lol. So typical of any wee boy anywhere in the world.

Almost there with my stitching, a leaf to do and it's done. Am very pleased with it and was worth the stop-start at the beginning to get it right.

Happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, a gloomy day today, we had rain on and off yesterday and sun for about two minutes.

Planning to go to Kerikeri shopping this morning, need a few things, but I had better write a list or no doubt I'll come home without some of the things I want!

I typed a message last night and it disappeared again. Grrrr!

I'm crocheting a dinosaur puzzle ball hoping to get it finished for the market tomorrow, but I still have quite a bit to do on it. If I don't finish it today, I'll take it with me and finish it there. I'm not expecting it to be busy tomorrow but I'm prepared to be surprised - well hoping really.

kiwimade your embroidery is beautiful - I love both the cat and the wax-eye, they are both gorgeous, but the wax-eye is so realistic. I don't have the patience any more to do embroidery, but I have a cross stitch I really should finish.

I had better get cracking if I'm going shopping. Have an awesome day everyone.

Morning everyone
A gloomy start here too. Have a grumpy male.. sore.. so instead of admitting it he grumbles, picks a fight and takes himself off to bed lol...

Ohh how cute re the young ones Kiwimade, We sat and had lunch in front of a sports ground / park in Pukekohe yesterday, they were teaching kids how to play Cricket, but at the high school across the road they are demolishing a building so the kids attention was diverted big time.

Kuaka my brother house sits up at Russell, he loves it up there.. They have been holidaying up there for many many years, in a post office holiday house. But now they live in a caravan and go where the mood takes them, but Russell is Home

I have to nip up and get ice cream and Missys purree sachets, I cant wait for the New world to open in Pukekohe where we shop, cos the Manager here is an absolute Witch with a capital B... treats her staff and customers like shit beneath her shoes.. So once the new one is open we will go there. PNS dont stock the Fancy feast Purree kisses, only NW and Countdown, so I get them where they are cheapest.

Right I better rattle me bones, I told MrP I would cut his hair today but Ive put it off till tomorrow.

Been feeling down this last week so have let things slip abite.I'll made some orange honey as I perfer it to lemon honey over the w/end.
.Had a couple of goes starting a Summer Wrap this last week, will leave it for a few days and have another go.
Love your stitching Kiwimade. Thanks for sharing. Looks like I will be up your way for Christmas/New Year.

Morning everyone
A little gloomy here too Sunflowers...

The grumble bum isnt soo bad this morning so far lol... Probably cos he likes to be the centre of attention and my plan is to cut his hair and reshape the beard. He wants a goatie, I personally hate them, but at least Ill see a little more of his face and it might lead to it all coming off Fingers crossed lol.
I have a lady coming around this morning, she put up a post on FB last night, she needs a little white feather yarn, so I got my crates down. And have found some for her. Im going to ask what she is making cos Ive always said it will come back in fashion.

Tomorrow I will bake, Ive been craving afghans for the last week or so, so I will make those and maybe some shortbread for MrP and that will be it lol. Alot of the last bake went stale before we ate it, so Ill just bake when we actually want something now instead of cos I want the joy of doing it.

I will paint this afternoon

Have a wonderful day all

morning ladies :) A little overcast here too but no wind. I've mowed half of the lawn and will finish the rest shortly. Have a bit of washing to hang out and the washing machine is almost finished spinning.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1175879513.jpg

I've finished, she's all ready to be laced onto a board and framed. Quite chuffed and worth all the stop-starting. Now to have another tutu with the waxeye and see if I can make the stitching a little smoother. I can't buy the companion piece for a couple of weeks as the website is down due to stocktaking.

Better get cracking, cuppa at the end of the mowing (like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey lol).

Hope your sales go well today, kuaka.

happy knitting :)

For the gardeners here, how soon can I lift bulbs out of their pots please? The two with the bluebells in are jam packed so need thinning out and the one that was meant to have daffodils but they are all jonquills, so I thought I might lift them all out and grow some tomatoes and beans in the pots , then put them back in the winter?
The flowerrs are finished, but theres still plenty of greenery

popeye333 - 2019-10-12 12:27:00
15287

morning ladies :) A gorgeous start to the day here and I think we may have even had a small frost.

Popeye, you are supposed to leave the bulbs until the greenery dies back but if you do that you will be late in planting your tomatoes and beans. So I would empty the pots anyway and store the bulbs somewhere dry so they can dry off before storing for summer.

The Furry One earned lots of cuddles and a bone yesterday afternoon after he 'told' us our nieghbour's wee boy had escaped and was heading towards the main road. He was whining and whining which is unusual for him as he barks so of course he had our attention. I hate to think what could have happened if he hadn't done that.

I'm pottering away with my waxeye, still have lots to learn.

Happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, well Friday didn't go to plan as I heard that the road to Kerikeri was blocked due to a fatal car crash, and wouldn't re-open till mid afternoon. The "detour" is through Kawakawa which is heading in the opposite direction and puts an extra 35 minutes on a 20 minute trip, so I went to the local Countdown. I was only going for groceries, fertilizers and plants so will go sometime during the coming week.

It was very quiet at the market yesterday and I was frozen all day, I always seem to be sitting in a draft there. There wasn't a ship in. I ended up selling one $10 beaded bookmark, but I didn't have to pay the stall fee as we get a freebie after 10 markets and yesterday was my free day. We packed up, tidied up, and just as I was shutting the door on the car having put the last container in, my one and only customer appeared and asked were we open tomorrow. No sorry. Oh she said, I wanted to buy another bookmark. No problem, so I pulled out the container, and she bought two more bookmarks and her friend also bought two, so suddenly it turned into a much better day.

Called in at the club on the way home to check if anyone else has entered today's snooker tournament 'cos last time I looked there was only me and one other, which doesn't make for a very good "drawn pairs" competition. Anyway there are now 8 of us entered, so think of me at 3 this afternoon. If I end up playing with someone as useless as me, we'll be put out in no time. If I end up playing with a good player, we just might have a chance.

Have a super day everyone.

Afternoon everyone.

I wanted to bake today so I nipped up and got icing sugar, cos I planned on making afghans and I knew I wouldnt be able to ice them without a bit more. And I knew I would be barely walking by the time I finished lol..

So I made Afghans, Vanilla bicuits, Shotybread and some coconut cookies.. Nice simple recipes, and Ive finally figured I need the oven hotter and to back on fan bake or ittakes forever. So I threw some chesse scones in too for lunch. I will ice the afghans later and add the walnut of course.

Thanks Kiwimade, for the advice re the bulbs.. I will lift them this coming week hopefully, and get them in the garage.. Today wold be goood cos its nice and sunny out there lol..

Glad you sold a few things Kuaka, makes it worthwhile in the end eh.

I had a lady come around yesterday for the feathers yarn, she does booties with a frilly top. I had to get 3 containers down from on the top of one of the pantries, one has the last of the toys etc I made ages ago, so I might put them on fb for a quick clear out.

OMG Kiwimade, isnt it lovely when Animals tell us something... So pleased the furry one is getting a reward today.

Time for a play then Ill paint..

morning ladies :) It's bitterly cold here, the heat pump is back on after nearly a week of having it off.

Spent a good day in the garden yesterday weeding and MrK is rebuilding a path I made a few years ago. He want's the bricks I used to build a new raised vegie patch so is replacing my bricks with concrete fill. So the gardens are up to scratch for now, very satisfying to see it.

That was lucky, kuaka, with the book marks. Have you tried selling them on FB or here?

Housework to do today, might do the windows while it's overcast. I seem to get a better result when the sun isn't out.

Happy knitting :)

Pleased you had a sale or two at the market over the w/end. Kuaku. Did you get to play a game at the club?
Dogs are very good at letting you know if something not right Kiwmade. Glad to hear it was a good out come.
The gardens can do with some rain. dug some compost in over the weekend and the soil was dry.

Morning everyone,
It is chilly here today too, I nearly pulled the blanket upthis morning, but Missy snuggled into my side so she was feeling the temp drop too.

Im rather creaky this morning, but it was worth it to have some yummy biscuits to munch on.

I was going to do the floors but Ive decided to leave them until tomorrow and have a day of painting. The lettering is coming out Heaps bigger and readable so Im pleased I ordered a bigger one.

we have figured out the hottest part of the day here is about 4pm to 5-30ish, the trees do an awesome job of sheilding the sun out, so thats livable.

Have a fab day all

morning ladies :) Wow, what a storm we're having! But it does look like the sky is clearing a bit over the Kaimai Ranges, the easterly helps with that!
So a good day for crafting and staying inside.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies. Yes ,we are having the storm as well. See there alot of oranges on the ground again. The trees are down the side of the house and a high fence on other side. Will go out and pick them up abite later.. Put a couple of appointments off as well.Temp is 15 ,so as I am going to be inside I will have a fire today to keep house warm.

Yesterday I was walking around a lovely large private garden with a group of ladies. Was a warm day. It was a lovely setup. Takes 5 hours to just mow it weekly. That 2 of them mowing. Sorry ladies no photos as its private garden. It was family member's garden of one of the ladies.
Going to have a cleanup in the share b/room,do some baking if power stays on. Pick up my knitting later in the day.
Yes! Kiwimade it's a good day for crafting.

Morning everyone
Wow its a doozy alright. Its cold windy and wet. I was woken by soo much banging through the night that I ended up taking half a pill affter midnight. Im sure if I laid down I could easily go back to sleep lol.

I will vacc this morning, no sence putting it off and then paint.

Had a mesage from Camerons mum last night.. He is the heart boy that I gave my co--ag checker too a few years ago, and the boy with his brother on the starship stars a couple of years ago too.. She ordered a cross stitch from overseas and they sent her a panting kit as well. It looks lik a partial but its an old style pantry or cupboard scene which is really me, so we had a catch up at the same time. Cam is doing soo well and hes 7 now but still a very tiny boy, and his INR has been stable for a while now.
So my "To do" pile is increasing lol..

I got alot done yesterday and its soo much better than the smaller version, the hard part may be getting the frame.

Well Im going to go get my socks and cardy again, that tells you how cool it is lol... Funny cos I had my fan on , on Sunday afternoon lol

Happy Crafting everyone.. its such a perfect day

Morning ladies, the weather was atrocious yesterday, wind, rain and cold, I lit the fire and didn't bother going to the club to play snooker. This morning I woke to thick fog - might as well be living in the Waikato! But it has cleared now and it's just overcast and grey, looks very damp.

Mah jong this afternoon and I've just spent ages trying to update the afternoon tea roster and print it. It took me forever last time I did it because my friend who set up the table used some weird program that I don't have. What a pain in the butt. Then when I had finally saved it in a format that I could edit, the printer wouldn't play ball. I feel like throwing the lot away and starting again.

Despite the lousy weather yesterday I didn't do much crafting, but I will do some this morning. Want to do some sewing and I still have to finish crocheting the dinosaur puzzle. Think the next market is a week on Saturday so there's no particular rush.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) Another overcast morning here but it is meant to clear sometime this morning.

Don't you hate it w hen a simple job like amending a roster becomes a mission. Should have taken a few minutes at the most.

Flick, I hope things go well for your daughter, she's certainly having a tough time.

Not sure what the day will bring, but I know I have to buy loo paper lol, forgot it when shopping the other day.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
We had a beautiful full moon this morning, shining in the gaps of two of the verticle blinds that wont shut properly lol..
It was lovely when I got up but the clouds are in. It was nasty yesterday. The lawns are due today but I guess they might be backed up a little.

Flick I love your little ghosties etc.. I hope they can sort your daughters troubles out, the poor kid.

I dont have much to do today, will load the dishwasher and thats about it. So the painting will be the biggets job for the day.. I ahve done some of the smaller writing and even tho it looks odd when its close up, it looks heaps better and readable from a few feet away. Yay.. Getting a frame to fit will be a mission.

Have a fab day everyon
