I reckon you can never have too much wool either

Morning ladies, had planned to go shopping in Kerikeri this morning. I want a garment rack of some sort to hang my bags on at the market. Bought an el cheapo one from the Warehouse a couple of weeks ago and first time I used it at the market one of the plastic things that hold it together broke. I still have the receipt and it has a two year warranty so it can go back for a refund.

I went on line and looked at Bunnings and Briscoes and Briscoes have a sale on today so I was going to go over there, but for $5 I can have it delivered so I decided to do that, and stay home. I can return the one to the Warehouse another day, and this morning I can do a few chores and maybe even finish chopping down the plum trees which I see are sending out shoots even though I pretty much murdered them.

This afternoon I'm at the op shop. Might go in early and have the haircut that I didn't get the other day, and treat myself to something for lunch from the bakery - probably a pie.

Have a super day everyone.

We have sun , but it was raining about an hour ago.

I have to do my bloods and shopping today.. not that I feel like it.. Had a very draining night..and very little sleep, but I will plod along. I dont have too much to do thankfully.

I finally managed to hook my mobile and tablet into the wifi last night.. Of course I lent my maginfiying glasses t my friend and after 40 years everything turned to custard, so I wont be getting or asking for them back.. So its on my list for today.. B's and 8's look very similar lol.

I had better get a couple of things done and get to town..

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning everyone. Sunny day here at present does not look great for the w/end so did a couple jobs outside just now and washing out as well. Head off into town as need to see the city council tomorrow.
The police came yesterday afternoon and they are going arrange for someone to put up a new outside light for me.

Hope it's not to wet for your sisiter's move Kiwmade. Your dog will miss the company when the dog goes to it new home. The cop that visited asked me if I would get a dog. Not at this stage. Every other house has a dog (s) in our street. Not for me..

Have plans to sort out the other bedroom at the w/end as I'm not sure if a friend is staying for Knit August Night. next week. A four day event. Will go down Sunday to the wool market, this is open to the public.
Have a couple things to do before I head out to the gym.

Have a great day and enjoy some crafting.

morning ladies :) We had a beautiful day yesterday so were outside for a lot of it. Weeds sprayed, rubbish burned and incinerator emptied, all those sorts of jobs. I even had every window in the house open for a while. My sister's move went smoothly and now she has to unpack. She was also lucky with the weather.

Not sure what I'll be knitting/crocheting/sewing next, my fingers ache a bit still so might give them a break. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Monday I meet my new family and the kids are coming home for a few days. So it will be 'all on' soon.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning, ladies from Sunny Napier. Hope everything goes will for you on Monday when you met your new family. I have some ideal how you are feeling. kiwimade
Mike was from England and visited his family back in Engalnd couple of years after we where married. Last saw his family 6 years before.I was unable to make the trip as we where living on Flinders Island off Tas.10 years later we did a trip to England. It was hell got into the airport mid morning from USA. Fronted with 11 family members. I was never so thankful for Mike' sister-in-law and my girlfriend who was at the time living and working in London. They got me and took me off for a cuppa.I was in tears. We had a 2 hour plus road trip to go before we got to his sister's place who had not came down to airport. She was the most lovely caring person I've met.I could understand why Mike asked if we could stay and it be our baseduring our 8 weeks.
Kiwimade just hope everything goes will for you and your family.Be thinking of you. and your family.

I'm off shortly as I need to go into town and sort our my rate bill and do s/market shop.Come home and do a few outdoor jobs as its going to be raining and cold over the the w/end. Need to sort out the other bedroom as I maybe having a friend to stay next w/end as she going to Knit August Night full on four days of classes, ,and traders from far and near. 10 years since the first one. Will have a look around the traders sometime over the wd/end. Be good to see what everyone is doing.
Hope everyone is well and keeping warm.
Happy Crafting everyone.

Morning everyone
It was sunny when wegot up, but has clouded over a bit.

Im having a bit of a downer day, the pain sucks... but we have a mission for today.. We will do the Junktion and the oppy. I need some curtain wire and hopefully a smallish oiece of netting for the Ensuite.. It has a frosted window but it can still be seen in with a torch, so Ill put a full curtain in there to block it out even more. And Ive given myself a budget of $15. Thats it lol... I like a challenge...

Yep Kiwimade its a case of use it or lose it, my hands dont look arthritic much but I sure feel it if I havent used them for a few days. Although getting rings on and off is definetely harder.. Actually one of the rings we got mum years ago, finally split through on Tuesday,, it was a row of hearts and one end finally split through.. It was a cute ring, mum and I had the same taste.. So now Im on a mission to find a new thumb ring.. None of my others fit..Ill know thw right sort will come up at some stage. I wont onpurposley look.

Its getting exciting for you Kiwimade, I hope you all have fun.

Sunflowers We dont want a dog either, theres a pitty next door, very gentle but he barked when we had our "Visitor" on saturday, so no need for us to have one lol

Right I better get myself sorted..

Have a fab day everyone

Afternoon ladies, the car passed it's wof so that's a relief. Now I can register it - expires on 24th so with a bit of luck I should get the new sticker in time.

Cold here today, I've lit the fire already.

My yarn arrived from Skeinz yesterday - not fussed on one of the colours I've got - think it looked different on the screen, but seeing as I'm only making stuff to sell at the market it's okay.

I'm about to have a late lunch then put my feet up and knit. Too cold to work outside (well that's my excuse!)

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) Another cold day today but that's OK. It is what it is. I'll take the Fluffy One home today, she will be surprised to see where she is living now lol. My sister's stuff we have been storing for her is loaded into the car already.

Good news your car passed it's WoF, Kuaka. Always a relief isn't it. I was driving last night and realised a headlight bulb has blown. It's a fuss to fix and MrK gets pretty frustrated doing it so I'll take it into town to have it done. Sometimes it's easier just to pay the bill. Must have popped when I turned the lights on as it was working fine last time I drove.

Two more sleeps before I meet my family. I had an excited e mail last evening from my uncle, just hope the weather is nice for them.

Nothing on the needles or hook at the moment. I need to visit the Bernina shop in Tauranga so might pop 'over the hill' at some stage.

Happy knitting :)

Morning Ladies, It's overcast here at present and expct rain later today/early evening. Off soon to my local wool store. Have not been for a 3-4 weeks need to replace a pair of knitting neddles and get some meat at the market . Tried of chicken and pork.
Went into to town yesterday and had lunch at Ahuriri. I had a lovely meal. Owners just live down our street. Walked back around the waterfront which I had not done this for about 6 weeks or more. Enjoyed the walk.

Great news your car passed it's WOF Kuaka. Another weekend at the market for you ?
Kiwimade, yes it is sometime easy to pay for a job to be done. A few times I had to call in tradies, as Mr S was not able to do the job and get frustrated...
I did not check to see if bale of garden waste had gone yesterday, was making a cuppa this morning and next thing I heard the gate open. .Yes ladies I did jump. LOL Need to check if it's locked again now before heading out.
Popeye did you get the fabric for your curtain yesterday?
Not sure what going to happen over the weekend as its forecasted for rain later.May finish some inside jobs.
Have a great day everyone.

Had a call from MrPs neice this morning and She and MrPs great neice And her three, so MrPs great great neices came up for the afternoon.. Last time we sawhis neice was 12 years ago.. and the great neice was a young girl.. It was great to catch up. Saw lots of photos including MrPs two sons and one of his Daughters.. The boys havent changed but the daughter had.

Yep sunflowers the curtains are cut out, and that was to be my job to sew today but that flewout the window, so I made a bacon and egg pie and some cheese muffins for our visitors. Another day tomorrow.

Ohh Kiwimade the Sparklys arrived today, they are beautiful and Im sureIll use them for something... Your furry one will miss his cousin now..

Good Morning Ladies. What a wild weather we had over night. Woke me up a few times when wnid was blowing across. Now have heaps of oranges on ground so will take some to me friend who has her grandchildren call in everyday after school. Also juice some for myself.
Slow start this today. Made a cuppa , went back to bed and readed my book.

Last night I picked up my knitting neddles and wool and started kniting a hat. Will finish it off today. Just maybe got my mojo back.

How lovely for you both to have Mr P's neices vist you . It would of meant alot to Mr P.
Received a message from family this morning from i Morrinsville to see if I am coming up next month. Still not sure. They also had a windy nigth.
Did the rain/wind hit you as Kiwimade?
The sun has just came out. Still some grey clouds around.

Morning everyone

Yes it was a lovely day yesterday.. Had an awesome catch up with tonnes of photos.. I would have no way in heck be able to figure outs about 50 percent of the next generations.. Althought some looked soo much like their parents that they were easy. MrPs sister had 7 kids, and alot of grand children and the numbers are building up for greats etc. Its sad tho cos the siblings are all breaking away now that the heads of the family have both gone.
I was going to sew yesterday, today I just dont feel like it, im not sure if I will make myself do it or not,, that usually ends up meaning trouble.

Had a wee bit of thunder and lightening last night its breezy outside but not bad, but a couple of degrees cooler this morning..

MrPs neice has had back surgeries, but she was saying how she ended up struggling to lift her legs even to put pants on and her socks etc, so I found that interesting cos mine have been the same for a while.. I will mention it to my Dr incase its related to my back.

I had better get a few things done here, I have 8 pantry containers to refill, so Ill get at least that done and put away.

Morning ladies, popeye - I asked the guy at the garage when my car needs to have it's wof every six months (thinking that older vehicles - mines 2004 - would need them every six months) and he said that all vehicles now only need them once a year, so that's good.

Didn't do a lot yesterday morning and in the afternoon went to the club to play mah jong, and then cooked roast chicken and veg for a friend and myself. We had a good evening, lots of laughter, some hugs and a few tears as she shared with me a problem she is dealing with at the moment. She phoned me this morning and said she feels better for having shared it so that's good. We had some wine - well I opened a bottle and after two glasses was still feeling stone cold sober, and then I noticed in microscopic writing on the label "alcohol removed" !!!! My son phoned at that stage and when I told him, he thought it was hilarious.

Was planning to plant some seedlings this morning but it has suddenly gone very black so I think rain is imminent and there is no way I'm gardening in the rain.

Will do some crafting - have another market a week tomorrow.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) We had a beautiful day yesterday, cold with the wind but the sun was out. Was outside for most of the day :D

Today's the day, my aunt and uncle had to detour to Auckland before they finally made it to Rotorua. Ice on the runway and then a plane breakdown in ChCh meant a very long day for them. Am so nervous lol.

dam and buggar is all I can say about the wine, Kuaka lol. Too funny!

Right, back to pacing the floor and finding things to do lol.

Happy knitting :)

Looks like we are in for more rain so again, I won't be planting my seedlings.

Have an awesome day everyone.

Morning everyone

Ohh doo have fun Kiwimade...we love watching the family finding shows on TV.. And I get emotional for the people so I can imagine whats going through your mind...

Its cold but sunny here, I should have washing on etc but once again MrP is sleeping..I might start kicking him to bed earlier..
Cos with my stupid body I like to get everything done in the morning and rest in the afternoon, but I can hardly do dishes and have the machine running while he sleeps.. Although I should start doing the washing at night time, but then dry it later in the day I suppose.

I got heaps of my Mandala done yesterday, starting to get into the pretty colours... I have three of them to do. My diamonds for the christmas present one should arrive tomorrow, so I might unpick some of the bird that I ran out of colours on, so I can mix the two batches, there may be a colour difference, so It will be a varigated bird lol

Ohh Kuaka, that would leave me deflated too, they should ban alcohol free alcohol lol..

Sunflowers, even tho craft rooms get messy they are still a good place to be.. arent they.

Have a fab day everyone... and Kiwimade enjoy yourself, do you have plenty of tissues?

Good Morning everyone

So pleased you had an awesome day yesterday Kiwimade..

Its a lovely day here too.. a couple more loads of washing and then Im caught up..

I have to nip up the road and get some of Missys bikkies,, shes been munching through them this week. And post MrPs sample... Hes old enough to get a free bowel cancer check.. so that horrible job is done lol.. but better to be safe than sorry.

Then I plan on painting.. and maybe the posty will bring me the diamonds Ive been waiting on, cos the kit was short by 40..Picking the round ones off wasnt too bad, I dont think it would be so easy with the squares tho they feel smaller, but probably arent lol

Ohh I need help with some quantitys of wool.. MrPs great neices are a chubby 10 yrs, an average 7-8 year old and a 2ish year old.. I want to send some wool down to his neice, who knits beautifully.. MrPs sisters loved wearing fluresant colours, which we call Maggie green, Maggie Pink etc. well the girls love it too, and as I have a good hoard which they sw some of, I want to send some down for them.. so if anyone could help that would be great TIA

Have a fab day everyone

afternoon ladies :) Well, wow, what an amazing day we had yesterday. Surprisingly there were very few tears, I think it's because we have been chatting online and through text messages for nearly a year now. Lots of photos and stories and a few gaps filled in.

Daughter and kids are still here and they go home tomorrow. Omg kids grow, don't they lol. Granddaughter has been reading to me and showing me her school work. Her teacher knows I'm a teacher too so sent it all with her. MrK has gone to the dentist, I know he has an abscessed tooth but it could be tricky as he will need antibiotic coverage. He's had a blood test to check his INR so those results should be back by now too. While he's in town he's going to see about a new light bulb for the car light and new wiper blades. And he has some woodworking stuff to buy so he won't be home for a while yet. Lucky him as he misses out on Dora the bl**** Explorer lol.

No knitting or crafting while the littlies are here, it just gets too hard.

Happy knitting :)

Morning Everyone

Cyber hugs to you and your family 10ofus, we will be thinking of you all.. It will be a comfort to have Mum home with you. She will leave a huge gap in your lives. I will say she was obviously a strong lady to have lived soo long, giving you many good memories.. Take Care.

Its raining here again, the lawn people came early yesterday, so they must have been watching the weather forcasts.. A tad chilly too.

I have to fold Mount Washingdon today... Get quotes for a parcel to send and whne MrP is up we will watch the dvds that his neice left us to look at, from funerals of MrPs sister and brother in law. It will no doubt make it feel more real.

I finished the christmas present that I hd to wait for more parts for yesterday and am getting through my picture again.. Its one of the ones that you wont appreciate until its finished. I like them that way.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) hugggssss to you 10ofus, she is at peace now and I bet she has left you many many happy memories.

It's been bucketing down overnight and the day doesn't look so flash either. Granddaughter has asked me to knit her another ballet cardy as she has outgrown hers. And our grandson is going to start dance soon too as he just loves copying his sister when they pick her up from class.

So today I have to post a few things left behind by the family (they always leave something!) and buy some 'ballet pink' wool. Yes, there is a pink called ballet pink.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone.

It is blue sky out our ranch slider and still dark out the front door lol... Raining too lol.

Ive decided o send enough wool for hats and scarves makes it a bit easier that way.

Shopping today and Im going to buy some red meat and to heck with the cost... Im starting to think its a government thing, pricing the meat beyond NZers means so we all end up living on chicken and fish lol.

So I will rattle my daggs, I hope everyone has a fab day.

Damn my brother just rang, one of my Uncles died overnight... Only one remainging on my mothers side now.. of siblings that is.. The wives are all hanging in there.

morning ladies, it's bucketing down with rain here, looks like we're in for a wild ride weather wise this weekend.

MrK has to go back to the dentist this morning, the dentist phoned and wants to talk to him before his next appointment this week. All to do with his INR and warfarin.

Still nothing on the needles, am looking for 'ballet pink' yarn. If I can't find any, I'll knit a similar pink. Granddaughter needs it for her 'exam' so this has to be a quick knit.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Its wild and wooly here too Kiwimade. Yesterday was Shocking. Izzy and her Mum came with me, MrP stayed home, wise man lol... We got drenched twice. I was soo wet and cold by the time we got to PaknSave I went to the toilet and ran my hands under the hot tap lol..
But its always nice walking with Izzy holding my hand.

Im waiting for the courier to come and pick up a parcel and then I can pop up the road to get bananas that I only saw green yesterday and I like one on my cereal in the morning.

There a huge collection of birds out there this morning, munching on a couple of buns, they come right to the ranch slider now.

Hav a fab day everyone, Will be thinking of you 10ofus today.

Shes wild and wooly out there and it got very cold overnight. But the Sun is up..
I finished this late yesterday.. 30cm/30cm I did it in 12 days.. Mind yoou yesterday it was all I did lol

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1125922126.jpg

Its much brighter than what the picture shows, Ill try and get a better photo today. They are one of the hardest things to try and get a decent picture of. I have two more Mandalas to do, both a bit smaller so Ill have three sitting together.
I like the randomness of this one.. and normally I dont like random.

MrP is still in bed so no vacuuming and I wont open the garage door, incase I wake him. So Im sewing when I get off here.

Im playing Chicken, I dont want to ring my Aunt about my Uncle dying, and I know thats bad, but its self preservation. Ill send her a card when I go up the street later.

I hope you have found some Ballet pink wool Kiwimade.

I hope everyone is well and an stay inside with this weather spring is approaching apparently lol

Good Morning Ladies, It's overcast and windy here at present. Just hope it's fine Sunday as I would like to go to Knit August Night Market which is open to the public.
Busy day yesterday, had a business customer drop by to see if we had some parts for a machine that we had been agents for. Was able to help him out and will check to see if he can take other parts as well. Phoned an order in and came back again. After work he turned up and asked what help I needed. I was at the time cuting up some fire wood. He took over and cut the backlogs up for me and we moved it from fruit boxes to the shed.Going to arrange for a load of firework for me next week for free.I was just so greatful for the help.
I'm still working along side this student and I just drop in when I want too. I'm doing level 3 myself. She was packing a saddy when I went in yesterday afternoon.
Have slowly got back into doing some knitting in the evenings.
Hope you can get the wool for your grandchild Kiwimade. Yes it has to be the right shade of pink as well.
Hope you have a good day at the market and people are buying Kuaku.
I will have to wait before I go outside we having gusts of winds at present and the sun out.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Happy crafting.

Washing drying on the line (makes a change!) and housework done. Am about to go and mow the lawn before the weather changes. Should have done that first before housework.

After lawns and lunch, I'll have a sit down and craft I think.

Well My sewing came to an abrupt end. One of the over locker threads came out.. and after 4 attempts and alot of norty words I gave up. So the craft room got closed off.. I dont want to see it today.. I have zero patience for it today.

Read the paper , and discovered that my Uncles Funeral is close family only, which Im cool with. And he was a very shy man who would have known very few people...
I will always remember him cos when they came down a couple of days befor my Stepfathers funeral we were having lunch and he was unlucky enough to have the cheese slicer in hi hand when it broke lol... when they came back for the funeral he presented me with another lol.. so everytiime I use it I think of him..

Im going to sort beads for another painting this afternoon.. Ill make sure Im super careful cos I dont want those getting messed up.. and it will help me relax hopefully.

I dont think it has warmed up any lol

I bought some pink wool, it's not the right pink but never mind, it will do. The back is knitted and I am part way up the first front. I'll have a scratch around and see if I have any pink ribbon for the ties.

I found a rimu tray when cleaning out Dad's garage after the house was sold, it's a bit scrappy but has cleaned up well. MrK suggested I embroider a cloth to go on it so the other day I bought the fabric. Not sure whether to hardanger or embroider something else on it. Personally I like it's 'roughness' and usually MrK would too so am surprised he asked me to do it. So another thing to add to the 'to-craft' list.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone,
Still alot of rain here at the mo, not as windy tho.. Its been an odd winter really.
Glad you found the wool Kiwimade, Im sure maddy will be impressed.

funny when the men surprise us with a total change in their ideas. I made a timber cover to cover the hob, and thet back strip of it has For Sale painted on it, I said to MrP I would paint it eventually, he said noo leave it, its quirky lol.. so it is still For Sale lol.

I spent some time sorting diamonds yesterday, getting a build up of Left overs, Im waiting on some more storage to come from china.
When I was on FB last night I saw a store selling the same containers I use, $29-95 USD which was $46-76 NZD.. for one tray of 64... I ordered 4 containers of 64 for $52 I think it was a couple of weeks ago,, you have to be careful not to get ripped off thats for sure.

Right I am going to do a little baking this morning, also need to get all the recycling out, getting a herald everyday sure builds it up and get the floor done.

Have a fab day all

Good Morning Everyone. The ground was white this morning when I first got up,now it's a lovely warm sunny day and no winds so will head out shortly into the gardens . Still have some plants to cut back, waiting for my grape vine to be cleaned up as well. Lawns will get done this week sofingers crosed so will the vine.

Cut up a heap of oranges last night to make Orange Marmalde later. Baged it and now in the freezer. Juiced some as will. Checked my orange honey and will make a batch up. The winds knocked alot of fruit off the trees in last few days.
Slowly getting back into doing some knitting. Uncovered my weaving loom that been sitting out in the shed yesterday, once my craftroom is ready I'll bring it back inside. Was given a rug loom a couple of months again. It does not take as much roomup as my table loom.
So will have play when I got my gardens cleanedup and planted. Have seed trays planted up and doing well.

Yes you have watch what you are buying and the prices when you getting things on the net Popeye.
Hope you are having a great weekend
Happy Crafting Everyone.

morning ladies :) Cold and blustery here today but I guess it's winter. Some trees are in blossom though.

We were in Rotorua yesterday with MrK's sisters. MrK's youngest sister has had bad news health wise so it was good to talk with her about it and what she wants to do for the time she has left.

Almost finished the first front of the ballet cardy, didn't knit yesterday as spending time with my sister-in-law was more important. Will finish the front today and start the next one.

I have a big pile of ironing to do and yes, I know a lot of you don't iron, but I like my linen ironed :P. With small storage spaces it fits better in the cupboards.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
She sure is windy out there.

Not good re your sister in law and yep spending time with her is more important.

I had a super busy day yesterday, so today is going to be a quiet day Painting.

I used to love ironing, especially in one house we lived in, I could take the washing off the line, straight to the ironing board and put away straight away, Our neighbour knew when I washed and was ironing cos I put music on, fairly loud, but she liked my taste in music. lol.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) A mixed bag weather wise today but at least it is getting a tad warmer.

MrK has his dental appointment today, has a bunch of extra antibiotics to take to cover his heart.

I found granddaughter's skivvie when ironing so will post that when I post the ballet cardy off. Only the sleeves to do now so won't be long before it's finished. It should arrive in time for her ballet 'exam' next week.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies. Sun is out at present here, but can see some dark grey clouds moving over here.Yes it is getting lighter in the mornings and we have had some great sunrises as well.
Over the last week or so I have had some great help arranged by a friend of Mike's.Firewood cut into smaller pieces and moved out of the fruit bins and into the shed, new wooden steps. At the weekend did a big garden cleanup. Removed the climber off the fence. What was left after I had been clearing it away on and off over last few weeks
.Having my firebox checked out later today. Not sure how old it is. When I had it cleaned last month they said it was ok for a few more years. We have batts in the roof and under floor about 6 years and now they are looking at fireplaces to see if they need to be replaced. At this stage not sure if I want a heatpump, mainly we don't have space on outside wall.So it be watch this space...
Slowly getting back into my knitting. Dyeing some wool so I can do some wet felting.
Hope Mr K dental appointment goes well for him. I had to have antibiotics after a tooth out a few weeks ago. It's now healing. Sorry to hear about your sister-in-law Kiwimade. Will be thinking of you and Mr K. I know you both will be there for her.
Time to move as I need to do some tidyup before I head off to check what my student is up too. No show yesterday so I did some of my own computering study. You ask why? Just to keep up to date.
Have a great day everyone

Morning everyone
We both had a crappy sleep last night, with me ending up sleeping sitting up. MrP is still in bed. he has given in and asked for a sleeping pill for tonight.

All I did yesterday was sitting and painting, totally enjoyed myself.. And Until Mrp gets up thats all I will do today too.

Izzy and her Mum came for a visit yesterday so that was nice, Shes such a bright little girl. We need to get a couple more puzzles and some more books. I must ask her Mum if she knows anyone to pass the current ones onto.. or perhaps give them to the toy library, I think we still have here.

Kiwimade I hope MrKs dentistry goes well.. Warfarin has alot to answer for I reckon.
Sunflowers its nice you have some helpers, not nice that the girl you are teaching doesnt bother to show up.
I did several computer courses about 16 years ago, mostly all forgotten now. I enjoyed the business ones more.

Right time for a looky on FB and then to the painting.

Have a fab day all

The salvias and delphiniums are up out of the ground so Spring must be here.

One more sleeve to knit and the ballet cardy is done. I've noticed my fingers start to ache when I knit, I hope this isn't s sign of things to come.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies; Wakeup to see everything covered in white.Yes JF had visited over night. Now sun out and we in for a sunny day.
Had busy day yesterday. Clean out some cupboards in my kitchen and have box ready to go to the Sallies.
Had my firebox checked out and has to be replaced. My lounge/dinning room has two lots of windows on one side and no space for a heatpump. So having a new firebox put in.It heats the rooms better as well.We also get powercuts as well another reason while I perfer the firebox.

My lovely surport person was allowed to stay on with me. She been my rock and has saved me from going down that black hole a number of times came in yesterday as well. She was just so great over the last 18 months. Her and Mr S got on so well which was great. It was good catchup.
My lawns where cut yesterday as well. The person I have is just so good. Always checkes if I'm home if I need any help with any jobs.
With all that I did get to my gym class as well.
Slowly getting back into my kniting and Book Art. Been doing if on and off now for three years, taken a break this year from the group and will go back in the new year. Been to a couple of workshops this year.
It's time to move now as it's starting to warmup. Hope to get a haircut and return my books. I so enjoy a good read.
I see you are selling some of your children 's books Popeye. What a great collection.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying their crafting.
Have a wonderful day ladies.

Morning everyone.
A bit chilly but blue sky. althought the sun has gone behind a cloud.

Kiwimade I hope its not bad news for your fingers.. I know mine used to ache if I didnt knit. They seem ok now so using basically a pen for a few hours each day must be enough.

Yep sunflowers I sold the collection of books overnight.. Shes one of the "Woolly" ladies I know. From hastings.. and she wants to see my annuals too.. I just looked at the prices on here, Wow they are worth far more than I was thinking about offering them to her for.. she has grandies that read every night. and they are careful too , which is all I wanted for the books, to be read and treassured. I have to take a couple of photos and show her soon.
So I will be able to have my ring set made bigger so I can wear them.. Without using "Normal" money.. if that makes sence. Cos MrP is a moaner when it comes to money, so doing it this way means he cant complain..
Yesterday he moaned cos we never seem to have money, Until I pointed out that he moaned for a couple of years wanting a new car, and now he has it hes still moaning.. He was a grumpy bum yesterday.

Right I better get the photos done and get that discussion over with... lol.. If she does take them Im going to order a 5 piece diamond painted,, Poppys... we have two big walls I can hang them on.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) I know what you mean by 'normal' money, popeye.

You're lucky you can keep your fire, sunflowers. Ours was dangerous, to the point where there were scorch marks on the mantle surround, so we never used it. And yes, we have plenty of power cuts too but so far, not so many this winter. Over summer, North Power did a lot of maintenance so this has helped. Now it's usually some idiot taking out a power pole with their car that knocks out the power.

Thick fog here today and doesn't look like clearing soon. Roll on summer!

The ballet cardigan is finished and I'll post it along with the skivvie I found in the laundry basket.

Will need to find something else to craft, might go back to embroidery and give my fingers a break from the knitting needles.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Im beginning to think Miss Karma is playing games with me, this is the third week in a row that its raining on Shopping day..!!! lol

MrP has decided to be in a grumpy and doesnt want to go to town.. He reckons he didnt sleep even with half a pill. I reckon he would have but it was soo good he doesnt realise it.. hes like this tho, pick an argument to stay home, to make me feel guilty. But that stopped working years ago lol

So I might throw a couple of oppies in while Im over there.

I finished the small picture I ws working on. It took a total of 15 hours and 25 minutes work. And I didnt like it when I still had it on the light pad, but as soon as I turned the light off it came to life so Im very pleased. one more present to do and Im finished.
I have two mandalas to do for me, a couple of birds in a tree for the house, and John Wayne is on order for MrP... Eventually Im going to get a Poppy picture, but I may do a 5 panel one or a wide landscape one.

Stay warm and dry everyone..

Good Morning Ladies. Starting to warmup now the sun is out. I have started weaving now I have tied up it up the loom. It's been somtime since I have had my loom out . My hands and mainly my fingers where playing up, so have put my knitting aside.
A change is good as well Kiwimade. I know you like embroidery and it's good to have change of handcrafting.

Yes I am lucky to get to have a firebox. I would miss it. Just waitng now for paperwork and I can go see what out there. Starting with company I know and where customers of ours for a number of years. It's all about clean air these days.

Been very low the last couple of weeks and let things go,so will try catchup on some jobs.
Time to move and do some jobs around the place as it's only me now to do them. Yes I did let things buildup around the place.,
I also know what you mean by 'normal' money, popeye.
Off shortly to the gym. It's a new class of relaxing. So far going ok.

morning ladies :) another foggy morning here, took forever for it to lift yesterday.

I've started crocheting some squares for the last blanket we need on a single bed. I'll be in Tauranga soon so will visit the Bernina shop for some embroidery fabric and pick up some hand sewing. I think it is all about mixing things up for my hands.

I had a good buy at the Briscoes sale yesterday. Been looking for woolen blankets for ages (the 'vintage' kind) and yesterday bought two merino king size (pretty much super king size, they are huge!) for $120 each, originally $300 each. So saved $360 in all. Our old woolen blankets are 35 years old and very thin now. They have the odd hole in them too from when the Furry One was a puppy. So the old blankets are going to the vet clinic for the dog's kennels. The vet nurses say the dogs love something soft and warm to snuggle into when they are sick. And they can cut them up to whatever size they need.

Better move, I'm being beeped at by the washing machine.

Happy knitting :)
