Morning everyone

So who won the Netball and Cricket?

Ive never been a fan of watching netball, especially now its so physically rough.. I do enjoy cricket but MrP doesnt.

I got the freezer moved, and hung the curtain rail and curtain in the laundry part so now no one can be nosy and look in.

Started another diamond painting, its round diamonds this time and Im not enjoying it as much as the square. I like something with a little challenge to it. It wont take long to do, so hopefully some of my Mandalas arrive soon.

Have a few jobs to do this morning and then Ill paint later.

Clear blue sky here, after a couple of days of storms.. Love storms lol

Have a fab day everyone

Hi everyone well we didnt have mum home for long..she came home on the 5th and was back in hospital the night of the 8th as when she was in her bathroom cleaning her teeth she tripped over her walker and down she went ..dislocated her shoulder, bruised ribs, hip and back...poor old mum she was in so much pain. my sister and i both went to the hospital in the ambulance and at 1 am the orthopaedic doctor was able to put mums shoulder back in place he said she did a good job of dislocating it, so we left then after she was a bit more comfortable. she has now transferred to another hospital today for rehab and doing well. all you ladies are making some lovely crafts, im knitting and crocheting at the moment, my eldest daughter who lives on a farm just txt me and asked if i could make a couple of booties for their 5-month-old as his other ones are getting a bit small, they are up to Christchurch this weekend so il have them all done by the time they arrive. I too love storms popeye lol..you can sit by the fire knit away drinking cups of tea or in your case you will be painting. I went to the docs today for an overhaul as i havent been feeling too well, ive had a few dizzy and fainting spells so ive got stage 2 hypertension (high blood pressure) which is causing my dizziness, ive got other symptoms aswell so i had lots of blood tests done and other things done that i keep putting off lol. fingers crossed everything comes back ok. I've also got to lose weight which will help hugely.
oh well that's enough of me dribbling on

Keep warm everyone and take care

Ohh 10ofus, I hope your mum mends well... I remember dislocating my shoulder and them putting it back in... Its a sound I wont forget. I hope too that it doesnt make her lose her confidence too much.

Best storm I ever saw was one off the coast of Opunake in South taranaki, it was Purple sky and fork lightening.. We were living in our bus and I sat and watched most of the night.. It was beautiful.

I didnt like them as a kid, but I think that was Mums fault, she hated them, but I grew out of it when my Sister left home to get married, I didnt have a spare bed with comforting arms to climb into lol

Today was Beautiful weather, I didnt have my cardy on for a few hours too which was nice

Morning everyone
I guess we had the good weather yesterday lol..

We have someone coming to check the level of insultation today. No idea what time tho, so I got the car out of the garage, the man hole being over the bonnet lol

My painting is coming along nicely.. I think some of the reason I am not enjoying doing the round one is you see the full picture.. cos the coveris clear, where as the Indian and my other ones are hidden cos the cover is white. The "Surprise" factor is missing.. A bit like putting pictures onto jumpers etc, you only see it grow, row by row .

Looks like a perfect day to stay indoors and work on the crafts we love.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone...Thanks, popeye i also hope mum well...Shes rather frail though but still got a great sense of humour lol. Wow, that would have been an amazing storm to watch. i particularly love rain bucketing down and i don't mind a bit of thunder and lightening it makes me all cosy inside lol and i love the snow.
I was born in Scotland and my hubby and i intend to go there within the next five years, all going well. We lived in a camping ground for 12 years, i worked in the office in the evenings so we had a house there to live in. our kids made loads of friends that lived in house busses, it was such a cool place to bring kids up in.

Today i just chilled at home i did a bit of washing, kindling chopping and plenty of knitting with the fire stoked up, i really had a lovely day.
Im just getting dinner ready while on the computer.

sounds like your painting is coming along nicely popeye.

Have a great evening everyone and take care

Morning everyone

We lived in a camping ground for a short while too 10ofus. You meet some great people that way.
My brother and his wife are living in a caravan at the mo doing house sitting, he loves it. I couldnt do it now tho, I like my stuff too much. Id have to have stuff in storage and that just doesnt make sence really.

I thought my bugs were leaving but they are back. mrP is still in Bed and to be honest if I wasnt so sore Id be there too..
So Im going to have a quiet morning, Ill do some painting when Im finished on here.

The insulation man came yesterday, he reckons the house needs a heatpump so is going to tell them that too.. So fingers crossed.. We will use it more in the summer than winter tho, cos far easier to keep warm than it is to stay cool.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and dry and enjoying your crafts.

morning ladies :) I'm sorry to hear about your mum 10ofus, I hope she bounces back quickly.

It's been one of those mornings where you are busy but at the end of it you haven't really done anything.

I've broken two can openers in two days argggg, so bought another one today. Hopefully this one will work a bit longer. And while in town, bought some polyanthus for the garden from the Warehouse. Just a bit of bright colour for winter.

I've had news from my birth family and if everything pans out, I will be meeting some of them next month. Soooo excited but my heart hasn't stopped pounding. MrK doesn't want to come as he says it's 'my moment' but I told him he has too. I need his support and can't do this on my own.
I've texted the kids and told them and invited them along as well.

I've been sewing and made another tote bag as a gift so have three now to give away. Am thinking of selling some if I make more but not sure what to charge. They are lined and embroidered and I've sewn each seam twice for strength.

Anyhoo, better get cracking. The Fluffy One is back and she's barking again.

happy knitting :)

Afternoon everyone...thankyou kiwimade ive been to see mum today and she's very very slow in walking the doctor said she will be staying in hospital until 30th July. Oh wow, how exciting for you kiwimade to be meeting your family, in real happy for you.

isn't it nice to make things to give away..I've just knitted booties for my eldest daughters partners sis-in-laws baby girl and now going to make a couple for my youngest grandson. We have lots of rain here today the fire is blazing and I'm about to have a cuppa and some cheese and crackers. Our 11-year-old granddaughter is staying tonight she loves coming here.

making homemade patties for tea tonight my hubby just loves how I make them.

I hope everyone is keeping warm wherever you all are.
Happy crafting and take care.

morning ladies :) Your poor daughter flick, she has been through so much, I hope this doctor can help. And having Crohns ticked off the list must be a relief.
It should go well, we have been e mailing and chatting on messenger for a year now. MrK bought me a DNA kit last year for my birthday and it all came about from there. I wanted to take it slow as it was an awful lot to get our heads around.

These cold fronts are bitter, it's making it hard to be outside. Hopefully today I can get the polyanthus' I bought yesterday planted and maybe a bit of weeding. But I have been kept busy inside and nice to be able to sew for a change.

Am finally getting the cover for my machine made. Just have to finish embroidering my initial on the front. Got to jazz it up a bit lol.

Happy knitting :)

morning ladies :) There is a stunning sunrise this morning but big rain clouds coming over. The pinks and the greys look amazing.

I weeded half of the garden yesterday and planted the polys. They are cheerful little flowers and it's nice to have bursts of colour for winter. The cyclamen are flowering non stop too and the daffs are up. So it might be winter but there is still a lot happening in the garden. I'll get the remainder of the garden weeded hopefully today and that will set me up for spring.

Housework today, the Furry One's favourite time of the week is when the vacuum comes out and he 'defends' me. Since downsizing our home, it doesn't take long to get things done.

I have almost finished the sewing machine cover and am really pleased with it. Made a bit of a mistake in a corner but I can fix that. I've been thinking how I could make a slit for the machine handle to come through so I can carry it and then thought of one big button hole. I'll have a tutu with that later on some scrap fabric. I should have done that before I sewed it all together. Oh well, live and learn.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone..I'm glad your daughters are ok flick its awful when our children get unwell.
I'm going to clean one of my dear friend's house this morning since mum is in the hospital my friend works full time and hates having to clean on a Saturday, so I'm going to do it for two Fridays.
I've finished two pairs of booties for my wee grandson who arrives tomorrow but I think il make another pair tonight, you can never have too many pairs.
I managed to pickup up a highchair of trademe yesterday, we need two at ours coz two of our grandsons both use them and they will all be here on saturday and i only had one.
I deheaded some dead flowers from my plant pots yesterday there's so much to tidy up outside it all takes so long il try get into it over the weekend. One of our boys was in a strongman comp last Saturday and he finished 3rd overall, he got himself a personal best by lifting 300kg deadlift, we were very proud of him. Tomorrow we off to watch the next son down in the semi-finals of senior rugby, the other two boys lost last week so didn't make the semis. Oh well, thats the nature of sport win some you lose some.

well i best get cracking and get mums washing out of the dryer so i can drop it off to her after being at my friends.

well toodles for now ladies

Morning everyone
I hope the book helps Flick, I dont have kids but I can imagine what must be going through your mind...

I hope to get the veges bags cut out today. I have to pop yo the street for a letter that went to our old place. The new tennant rang last night, and she sounds lovely and told me she wouls look after our home. She had been in hers for 10 years before it sold so understands the 42 day notice rush.
I felt quite chuffed cos I asked her if the drapes I made were still there, and they are.. I made them in early 2007 after my heart surgery.

Gosh Pak n Save was busy yesterday, back to normal next week, Yay.

One of my mandala kits arrived yesterday, Ive always wanted to crochet one, but Im not confident enough to do that So when I found the Mandalas I just about jumped for joy. lol

Washing is on, and it will go straight in the dryer, the rain clouds are zooming in.

It must be a good year for cyclamines,Ive seen heaps around and looking lovely... Ive been thinking I might put the old bean fence up straight out the ranch slider, and grow some sweet peas. Will be able to see them and not annoy the nose too much.

Take care everyone and have a fab day

Morning everyone

The temp dropped overnight, so is a bit chilly at the mo.

Yesterday I was in my craft room most of the day, doing bags in the morning and then painting in the afternoon. Needless to say along with the housework my back was shot , I havent been this sore since we were moving. Its enough to make me take a big pain med, but I wont. I like to be able to use my brain throughout the day Lol.

So Im decamping my painting into the lounge and will sit and work there most of the day..
Will catch up on some recorded tv too...

I hope everyone is well , 10ofus I hope your mum is mending and they are keeping on top of her pain.

Morning everyone
Another chilly night, I could have happily stayed in bed lol.

I spent some time in the morning writing out recipes and then I managed to finish the train painting yesterday. I still dont like it. but MrP does so thats ok.

The back is still nasty this morning, but Ive just had some meds that should take the edge off. Taking MrP to the drs today, Im expecting the dr to growl him, cos I took a letter in last week explaing my notes in his sugar readings book.. Its handy that the medlab is in the same building and I can sneak mail in without him knowing.

Kids are back today so I hope people keep an eye out for them..

Have a fab day everyone

I finally finished mums scarf and it looks amazing il take it to her tomorrow when I go in to see her. I don't t know whether to knit a blanket next or a baby jersey to add to my kit. I will scrummage through my patterns and see what grabs me. Have a great evening.

Good evening ladies, what a day I've had. Rowed out to the boat this morning with a friend to try to get the motor started as I had someone coming to look at it this afternoon. We couldn't start the motor so brought two flat batteries back to charge. Then rowed out again to show a lovely couple the boat. I explained that she needs work and that if she was in pristine condition the price would be much much more. They seemed quite keen but time will tell.

I managed to fill my gumboot with icy sea water and when I got home I was exhausted and frozen so had a shower and cup of tea and I was in bed at 4pm and out like a light. Woke just before 7, lit the fire so I'm now nice and cosy and now I'm cooking tea. Needless to say I didn't get to the club to play snooker nor did I get any knitting done. I will be back in bed as soon as I've eaten.

I hope everyone is doing better and enjoying this fabulous weather and getting some crafting done. Night night.

Morning ladies, where is everyone? Beautiful sunny day here. Plan to do some gardening for what is left of the morning and then go to mah jong. Need to bring in more firewood too. Hopefully won't need to use the woodfire for much longer. Certainly has a spring-like feel to the days at the moment, although August can often be miserable weatherwise.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying some crafting.

Have a fabulous day.

Afternoon everyone
I hope the boat sells for you Kuaka, one less thing to worry about.

My back is still horrible... I am thankfull tho that it doesnt do this very often now. The joys of having no cartiledge so nerves get where they shouldnt be. And I am pleased that its not in the hips now too, just the spine and out from it.

Ive been pottering about slowly this morning. So now I can paint after I get off here.. Im hoping my storage containers arrive today.. And a sister friend gave me a square lidded container with dividers in so Ill use that as my "working" box.
Just checked the mail and two of my kits arrived too Yayay. But Im going to be working on presents before anything for myself.

Its a beautiful day here now. It was foggey at 3-30am, Izzys mum goes to the gym at that time, lol..

I hope everyone is well and happy

Today I taken the Fluffy One back to her Mum and went to Pak n Save while in Hamilton. Son phoned while I was out and about so caught up with his news. Home, lunch and now going to make a start on mowing the lawn.

Fingers and everything crossed for you Kuaka that the boat sells.

Thanks for the heads up about Beanies for Babies :)

afternoon everyone..i like sewing aswell sunflower i use to go to sewing classes last year and loved it, but i don't go now as i can't leave mum by herself but that's ok i do get plenty of knitting and crocheting done at home. well ive had an eventful morning, i dropped my daughter at work for 8 am then went to my other daughters work to pick up her dog to drop at the vet she ripped a nail half off yesterday and it needs to be cut under anaesthetic but the little monkey decided to eat my daughters lunch while she was waiting in the car, as my daughter is a painter she was in a house working so alas no vet for the dog today and i bought my daughter some lunch from coffee culture where my other daughter works, so i bought the dog home with me and she is laying in front of the fire with our big dog and they are both fast asleep lol..What a life..

Ive been in the kitchen for two hours and made a crockpot of stew a pot of mince with veges and a large pot of vege soup for mum to have in the freezer for when she comes home.

Ive really enjoyed doing all that and im just having a cuppa and a cheese sandwich.

I hope everyone has had a good day sofar

Morning everyone

I said to MrP this morning Did we Move Back to Mangakino , not just the other side of Waiuku lol.. third fog in a row lol...I like the stillness of fog tho and it generally means a nicer day.

I got my bags yesterday , so they are all sorted.. I didnt "paint" last night. I knew Missy wanted her mummys lap.. cos I had to move the lappy over while I was still using it .. Its no Job in having her on my lap , and I will make the most of it, cps that will change in the summer and Ill miss her.

Shopping today, Im going to get a frame for the Indian, I wont worry about the christmas train until later.

And Im going to take my ring set in and see how much to get it made bigger. I stupidly got it made to fit when I had lost the 30 kilos when I got them.. And I want to be able to wear them. So I told mrP Ill sell some extras on here and earn the money to have them done.

Kiwimade how is the New Matress going?

Kuaka I hope you have heard about the boat by now, hard to be kept waiting, I reckon you sould celebrate with a nice cruise or smething.

10ofus Im sure your Mum will love the food you have done her.

Morning ladies, a lazy day for me today. Out to lunch at a local vineyard to celebrate a friends 91st birthday. He is a member of our mah jong group and so much fun, as is his wife. I was invited to his 90th birthday bash last year but couldn't go as I was in England.

I had said earlier that I would do the op shop shift for a friend, but when I was first invited to today's lunch I said I couldn't go because of the op shop. When I told my friend she said "don't be stupid, go and enjoy the lunch, they can find someone else to do my shift". I'm just about over the op shop after all the sarcasm I received when we accidentally closed up an hour early.

Time I had my shower and then got myself ready for this lunch. Still haven't decided what I'm going to wear! Have to decide soon. I can't go in my dressing gown.

Have a fabulous day - and no, I haven't heard back about the boat, but someone else is supposed to be looking at it on Sunday. Fingers crossed.

afternoon ladies :) What a bleak day it is here. My airing rack broke for good yesterday so all washing is in the drier today. It's over 10 years old so I've had a good run with it. Next time I'm near Mitre 10 I'll buy a new one.

We're still waiting for the mattress to be delivered. MrK has had a tutu with the slats on the bed (heaven knows why) and the old mattress is propped up in the hallway. The Sallies are coming next week to take it away. Now fingers crossed the new woolrest fits. Briscoes said I can return it if it doesn't. And if it does, the vet gains an old woolrest for the doggy kennels.

I think I have my crochet/knitting mojo back :) The throw on the couch has a couple of holes in it (thanks Furry One for bringing your bones inside and sneakily eating them on it) so time for a new one.

Housework is done, just our bed to remake when the mattress arrives. And a haircut this afternoon.

happy knitting :)

morning ladies :) Wow, a new mattress makes a difference! And as for the new wool underlay... all I can say is omg! We both slept heavily last night, the best sleep we have had for years. So money well spent. Even the Furry One didn't want to move lol.

Another wettish day today by the looks of it. Oh well, how sad, never mind :P

I have narrowed down the throw to three choices, now to decide.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone. grey here too.

Soo pleased you had a good sleep Kiwimade, sure makes a difference eh.

MrP didn,'t so is still in bed. I slept well cos I took a whole tablet last night, but am still very sore. I have taken a codienne but if it hasnt helped Ill take an oxy at lunchtime.. cos the words of my First Cardiologist is telling me that I need strong pain killers and I need to take them.

My last Mandala arrived yesterday, ohh the pretty shapes and colours... IM really going to enjoy doing these ones. I was looking for a Poppy one to replace the one that is Missing, couldnt find one that I really liked and it just so happned that one with a couple of sparrows sitting on either curls of the bark or tiny branches on what looks like eucalipstic trees (I think) is sooo pretty, popped up, so I put that on my wishlist for when I have my refund of the failed to arrive one.

Theres heaps of different choices, for many different tastes, its a bit like going down the Ravelry hole looking for a pattern lol.

I got the frame for MrP's indian yesterday so Ill get that done on the weekend.. I may ask Izzys mum cos she doesn a good job framing the pictures she has done.

If you need anything for the house,, Briscoes have a sale,,, when do they not lol But its 50% off the whole store..

Have a fab day all

Morning everyone,
Wasnt so cold last night and its a beautiful day out there. A bit of wind cs the trees are swaying.
I was going to bake today but that will have to wait. I feel like Im always complaining about pain, but its starting to be a right pain in the neck lol.. Might write off tomorrow and take a big pill.

My containers arrived yesterday for my diamonds so Ive put the leftovers in so far. I will eventually put the beads in for the kits Im working on, but happy as they are at the mo. They are like a small lunch box with 64 mini tic tac boxes. Rather cute. I got a good deal with 128 containers and stickers. The colours of the diamonds are DMC numbered which is really cool.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) oohh I like how the diamonds are DMC numbered, you can mix and match that way if needed.

Yesterday we went to the beach, a few more people there this time. We love the beach in the winter as we pretty much have it to ourselves and it's a different 'beast' after storms. Someone had made a gorgeous mural out of shells on the sand. I took photos but haven't uploaded them yet. When I have, I'll post them here. They will certainly make you smile. Other people where smiling and taking photos and no one was standing on it or wrecking it. So who ever made it, thank you lol. You made a lot of people's day :)

We have a frost this morning but it's going to be a stunning day. We have a 'proper' daffodil out! It's been flowering for days by the garage and some trees in Tauranga are in blossom already. And I spotted a magnolia tree at Mt Maunganui in full bud.

The throw is knitting up beautifully. I'm using the Marvel Soft yarn from Spotlight as it wears and washes so well. Throws on the sofa take a hammering here with two dogs. And besides, I got 50% off, 40% for the sale and 10% VIP. It's in a winter white, slightly off-white. I'm fiddling the pattern as I do lol, am making it twice as wide as the pattern calls for 12ply and I'm using eight. And no tassels this time, will just do moss stitch top and bottom as it is on the sides.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Yeah I love the fact that they are DMC numbered too Kiwimade.. one of the first things you learn is 310.. Black which I dont think Ive ever used in cotton lol. The background of the Slot I got for my birthday is Ecru, That was the first thing I noticed after the picture itself lol.

I managed to move my pos of bulbs around to the ranchslider, se we will see them flowering. Theres buds on what I think is a jonquill, MrP reckons it a Daffodil. And I have the pot of Puha beside the door, easy to get for Roly the Canary, he loves it. And the little bugger rattles the peg I clicp it in, when he wants more lol.

Another day in my chair with gentle stretches, it is slowly improving, doing thepots was good stretching .

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Everyone What a day yesterday was here, the fog lifted around the waterfront in the afternoon. We had it hanging around till 11ish when sun came out.. Reminds of the Waikato Fogs.

What a lovely time to visit the beach Kiwimade. Been a while since I've walked our beach paths.Alot of rubbish has been washedup after the bad weather we had last week.
Today no sign of fog and sun is out. Need to finish the gardens today. Sprayed the driveway with what was left the last time I did it. It's got away on me this time.
Have got my first Daffodils out now. Came across some more to plant out in the shed. Uplifted them last year. Heaps of jonquills out along front this year. Fedup people helping themsleves to the Daffodils.
Thanks for the websites Popeye had a look around. Not sure if it's my thing or not.
As for knitting have undone more than I have knitted this last a couple of weeks. Hanked the yarn and it's been drying out on the line this morning.May have give it a light stream.
Time to move and get something out of the freezer for dinner tonight before I go outside again.
Hope everyone is well or feeling better.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Everyone
A beautiful day out there.. Just watching a soft ginger cat playing in the tree with the sun on him..

Im slowly improving, I said to MrP its like my back coped through the 3 months of packing moving and Unpacking and then said Right Im done lol.
The bonus tho is plenty of craft time, so it hasnt been wasted time.

I would absolutely go mental if I didnt have crafts to do. And that reminds me I must go and buy a end of roll paper from the local news paper printers here and then one weekend get the girls around for a play, I have collected stuff for ages that I thought would be handy, and now I have girls to have fun with.

I hope everyone is getting then gardens finished and knitting etc done

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, my plans of mowing the grass strip at the side of the driveway, doing some weeding and finishing cutting down the plum trees was thwarted by the weather. Absolutely torrential rain for a while means the mowing won't get done and now we have light rain so I won't be doing any other chores outside. I guess that means I will have to sit and crochet or do some sewing - how sad!

Yesterday I sent my stepson a few stroppy messages telling him that he has had plenty of time to return my keys and that he must remember he "chose" to leave, I didn't tell him to or even ask him too. What I asked for was some help with the chores (well overdue) for him to take responsibility for his family's extravagant internet needs, and for them to start paying rent. He said he will come on Wednesday morning at 9.30 and will return my old vacuum cleaner. He says there is nothing else they borrowed but I told him I know for sure I am a red and white striped sheet missing which was on the boys bed, but that's nothing, I'm more disappointed in your attitude and behaviour. So he said "we will discuss these matters". So we will see. He will probably try to say that all the work he did compensates for any rent they should have paid. I don't think so. When I look round, a lot of the jobs he didn't do very well and a lot he started and didn't finish, and if they had been paying rent I could have paid someone to do the work properly.

I said I was disappointed that he had sacrificed what had been a good relationship between us for the sake of saving some rent money. He can't wriggle out of that one.

Have a super day everyone despite the weather (although my son says its sunny in Auckland - so maybe not everyone has rubbish weather today)

Good on you Kuaka.. put him in his place... And dont let him bully you when you see him on Wednesday.. if he has the guts to turn up.. Proabbly use some lame excuse not to.

It is fine here in South Auckland but the darker clouds are coming in slowly.

Ive just framed MrP's Indian and taken some photos so will post them when I have put them onto the computer.

popeye, I was going to give him another week but yesterday I sat and thought about it and thought that it was ridiculous. I told him there were any number of places he could have hidden the keys and left me a note to say where, he could have put them in the lock box in the carport because he knew the combination, but he chose to take them which he had no right to do and I told him he certainly had no right to keep them this long. Don't worry, I will tell him exactly how I feel - as my Gran would say "he probably feels badly tret" which is north country English for saying he feels hard done by or badly treated. Well guess what, I feel the same way - used. If he gets stroppy on Wednesday assuming he fronts up, he will quickly be shown the door and told not to return.

Good on you Kuaka, if your worried at any time, ring the police ok...

I love doing diamond painting but it is sooo hard to get a good photo. but here it is framed..

MrP loves it.. and Im feeling rather proud. He said after everything that I have done for him, and he has always thanked me but he said this is the best. All the work and to end up with a beautifull picture, it made his eyes leak

Edit to add the picture lol

morning ladies :) Don't take any rubbish from him, Kuaka. I can't believe he kept your keys, why on earth would he do that?

Popeye, your pic looks great framed, nice choice in framework :)

It's raining today so I'll get the sewing machine out and do some mending for our nieghbour. She doesn't have a machine and there is a small seam to restitch, no biggie.

MrK's phone got wet yesterday so needless to say, it died. I have dad's phone so will pop into town and see if I can have MrK's number put onto dad's phone.

It's three weeks today before I meet some birth family members. The countdown begins lol. Son, daughter and grandkids are coming too so they get all of us.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies. It's a light rain at present here and temp not very high, thinking of lighting a fire to warm up the place. Giving the knitting group a miss this morning and go to my gymclass this afternoon.
Came home yesterday in shock after a checkup at the Dentist. Need to have a tooth out. I lost the filling sometime ago.$280.00 and have my top plate relined $300.There goes my midwinter break.

Slowly making head way with my shawl which I want to wear later in August. Sorted out alot part used balls of yarn and casted on 200 stitches last night for a rug/blanket. This will be an on going project.

Thanks for the site for diamond paintings Popeye. Yes, there are some lovely pictures. Good to hear you are enjoying it. Not in a good space at present will go back later for another look around.

Sorry to hear the way your stepson and family have treated you Kuaku. Hope he does keep his word and turns up.All the best.
The three weeks will go quickly Kiwimade and you and the family will meet up with your birth family.
Had a look while in town at sewing machines as well. It be my Singer Machine that will get a workout.
Time to move and get some housework done as I was out in the gardens. removing a climber on the fence over the w/end.. It's been slow on going job.

Enjoy your day! Stay dry and warm. A hot coffee is been called for.

Morning everyone
Thank you Kiwimade , I thought it needed a simple but wider frame. and Im glad I got that one.

We are going to put it above my chair so MrP can see it from where he sits.

We have a couple of Finches who have joined the outdoor bird family.. I just cant get over the waxeyes not being scared of the bigger birds. The Mynas are definatley the wooses in the family lol

I have to duck up for milk and pills this morning, then Ill play with the diamonds again lol..Will put the diamonds for the next picture I want to do. which is the 3 little pigs I got. Pigs are just soo cute.

Sunflowers I wonder if its worth buying a second hand but ask if you can get it checked out first, or perhaps shops will have trade ins. Last machine I got was my overlocker and that was on special for about $500 I think.. I havent looked at the price of machines since then.

Have a fab day everyone
