I reckon you can never have too much wool either

morning ladies :) Up bright and early this morning as I have a list of things that need doing. Looks like a frost (well feels like one, it's dark outside). As soon as it lifts I'll start pruning. Have pruned four roses already, only 26 to go :)

The bees are drinking a full mason jar of sugar water a day now, the hives are about four paddocks away so really close. No wonder we have so many visiting.

Better get moving and make a start on the 'inside' jobs before heading outside later this morning. Crafting this afternoon/evening assuming everything goes to plan.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
We had a frost this morning too, cos we are surrounded by trees it takes a bit to see the frost really. Its cold but I have put the heater on..

I forogot to get MrPs pills yesterday so we will go get those then have a gander at the recycle shop on the way home.

Tea is sorted, left overs to be reheated, so once I have done my pill trays Im going to do some more of my painting.
I was sitting there watching tv last night thinking, oohh maybe Ill have to have something on the needles, I dont do sittng watching tv without something in my hands very well lol. I need a blue hat so Ill dig out my fave cabled hat pattern and make one to match the wrist warmers I have.

Have a fab day everyone..

morning ladies :) woahhhh we have a doozy of a frost! It's a beauty :) And looks like we're in for the beautiful day to match.

I have five roses left to prune and they are along the roadside of the fence. The salvias are finally pruned back too and I have a large fuchsia I need to take the secateurs too as well. So that's this morning's things to do once the frost has lifted. And I'll give the roses a good winter spray as well. I very rarely spray but I have a lot of new growth on them - one was still flowering and had buds on it.

Yesterday afternoon I sewed a large tote bag for our daughter as a Christmas gift. Fully lined it too so quite chuffed. It looks very smart in navy blue with a lilac floral liner, her initial embroidered in white with purple flowers entwined in the initial. I have one more to do for my sister.

I also have to proof read another chapter of a book our daughter is writing :) I pick up a few grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, but not that many.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

No frost here, but it will be a beautiful day. But it is cold at the mo.

Wow Kiwimade the gardens sure keep you busy... I only have one patch to keep an eye on and its under yukkas.. theres a spider plant, which Ive only ever seen in pots inside, parsley, mint and a big sort of spiny succulent which has flowers coming out, very slowly, they have very long stems to the flower head, Ill take a photo when they finally fully open. Theres a crocus in there too cos that flowered not long after we got here.. And thats it lol..Ohh and dandelions and puha which Im feeding to Roly lol.

No knitting last night, I went through a couple of new cookbooks I got this week, one was free and the other $1..

Dishes at some stage, and more diamond painting later... But Im going to have a looky for a new pic for me. My Poppy one is MIA, so Ill just let the time on it rtin out and they can refund me.

Have a fab day everyone....

Morning ladies, well my day yesterday didn't turn out as I'd planned it. Mucked around all morning and didn't achieve much then went to the club after lunch to play mah jong but there were four players there already and nobody else expected to turn up so I came home - it's not very interesting when there's only two players at a table so rather than have two tables with 2 and 3 players I left the four of them to it and came home and chopped down half of the last plum tree. I will finish it before lunch. I still have to get rid of the stumps and I'm not quite sure how I will do that. Might have to get my son to help next time he's up. That's a job Paul was going to do for me.

I see one of the trees that Paul chopped to retrieve my sea view is sprouting again so it won't be long before that blocks a good portion of my view. Grrrrrr!

I have finally finished (well almost finished sewing the seams) on a "cropped poncho" that I knitted for myself. Think I should have done a smaller size, but if it is much too big I will sell it at the market and possibly make myself another one.

I'm back to the puzzle balls again, ready for next seasons markets. I seem to have run out of enthusiasm with them a bit, but must make some as they do sell well. Also making tote bags, but mine aren't as flash as yours kiwimade. Yours looks awesome.

Have a super day everyone - no frost here by the way and it is very overcast, cold, windy and looks like it could rain.

kuaka - 2019-06-30 10:31:00
14956

morning ladies :) Thanks for the compliment, kuaka :) Am quite chuffed with the bag. I've started cross stitching a peony flower on the next one and it's hard on the fingers even with a thimble. The fabric is thick and I've tacked a waste piece of Aida cloth to it as my 'grid' and to make sure my stitches are the same size. Will pick out the Aida when finished.

I never got to the roses so will do that after I've finished my coffee, no frost so can get started reasonably early.

Boob squishing time today, I have a mammogram appointment at the mobile unit this morning. It visits every two years, doesn't feel like two years since the last one.

Better get cracking, the birds are tapping their feet waiting for their food.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

The bag is lovely Kiwimade... One can never have too many good bags.

The time flies by thats for sure.. Its handy they have the mobile squishy units. One was in town here last year, and I was due, but there was no way I could have made it up those stairs with my wound as it was and the vacc pack.

Im rather creaky this morning.. Have been pretty good of late, so Ill get some recipes written up and rest the back.. I got a Sophie Gray book a couple of weeks ago and didnt notice the huge smelly oil stain through it, so Ill write out the recipes I really want, then Izzys mum is going to do the same then it can go in the recycle bin.

Im about a third of the way into the diamond painting now and am loving it.
I ordered a Mandala kit yesterday, I tried to get the photo big enough to show Izzys Mum but I couldnt get it to work. So Ill take a photo of it later and see how that goes, its blues, mauves and a little pink too. It will be a challenge I think, but Im up for it.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, good luck with the boob squishing, I had my last quite a while back and no longer qualify for free ones. I believe the thinking is that by the time you get to my age something else will more likely kill you, and that in older ladies, even if you do get breast cancer it isn't usually so aggressive as in younger ladies.

It's very grey and showery today but quite mild. No real plans for today - I was going to deal with what remains of the last plum tree but not going to get wet doing it, so that can wait till another day. The battle to get the house tidied up continues, but not very successfully. I always seem to get sidetracked. Never mind, it's only me here now, so I will get it the way I want it eventually.

Need to package up a sale and get that in the mail today.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) very clever flick! Any little girl will love it. Good to hear are going good for your daughter too.

The mammogram was all over in minutes, very professional. Results in two weeks.

When the weather clears I'll pick the prunnings up I have dumped in piles. Both bins were full as MrK is pruning the fruit trees too. *makes mental note we must buy another pair of lopers so we have one each!* Anyhoo, my pruning is finally finished. Winter seems to be busier than summer in the garden but whatever is done, sets me up for spring/summer.

The cross stitch peony is hard work, more stabbing than sewing as I'm working through aida cloth as well as gaberdine type fabric. I can only do a bit at a time as my fingers get sore. Will look good though (It better! lol).

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Ohh Flick I love the outfit on the doll... And glad your daughter is getting back into the school work.
Kiwimade we have his and her toolboxes... Only for quite some time MrP has used my tools cos he knows where they are and that if he doesnt put them back he cant use them again lol... Which is why I havent unpacked many of his tools.. Im trying to prove a point that he doesnt need it, and if he hasnt used any of it within a year of moving, he certainly doesnt need it. I will be using the hacksaw on the cutting frame this week hopefully so that will be one thing that stays.

But to be fair Ive also planned the same for the crates and boxes in the spare / storage room too. And theres alot in there.

Have to cut MrPs hair and beard today, and pop up the road for bananas. Ill get some of the Indian done today too hopefully
... Progress so far
https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/1080208901.jpg

And I must also cut some more wall paper for the kitchen draws, which Ive been meaning to do for ages lol

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Another wet day here today, not ideal, as I would like to get the winter spray on the roses. Oh well, the sun has to shine again eventually. Am annoyed we were too busy over that lovely fine period to get it all done but that's life.

Popeye, I have my own tools too :) It's only every so often that MrK and I 'compete' for the same tool. I rounded up all the secateurs and have three... I need to find a place to have them sharpened.

MrK is making wooden trays for an order he has, will take pics when he has finished as omg the recycled rimu is just stunning.

Have finished the peony and now working on the leaves. The sewing will have to wait until I can get to Spotlight or the sewing shop in Tauranga for some interfacing. Next time I'll buy loads of it as it's a PITA to run out all the time. And I can't always get what I need in town.

Better get moving, I see the sun!

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
It has rained through the night, not cold tho which is a bonus.

MrP is still in bed, not sure if he was tired, sore or sulking lol... Im sore but have meds on board so it shouldnt be too long till I can move without feeling it.. Sometimes I really hate my body. The stupid thing is, its usually after a really good sleep that I hurt the most lol.

I dont have much on my agenda today. Ive been missing having a mirror in my bedroom then it clicked, I have one I got a few years ago for a project, that I ended up using something else for. So Ill get the cargo trolley and move it from the spare room to mine.. I have a big mirror in the ensuite but you cant stand far enough away to make sure your clothes are tidy etc.

Im about 3-4 rows from Halfway on the diamond painting.. Which I started 2 weeks ago yesterday so its progressing well. Another one arrived yesterday, it has three very plump happy looking pigs in it.. Ive always had a soft spot for pigs and goats.. Doing the diamond painting is no dearer than knitting etc, so Im pleased about that... provided you buy overseas ofcourse. Theres sellers on here who sell and then you wait for them to be shipped to NZ then shipped to you. Making a good mark up too I must add.

I love Rimu Kiwimade, cant wait to see the trays..

Talking of trays I realised when packing that I have more than I thought but I do use them. My Stepfather loved kitchen gear and things to make life easier. So I learnt the joy of spending time in Farmers and other shops that supply kitchen stuff.. Hence I have alot of useful stuff.. And he started me on my use of the plastic drawers.. I have Alot lol.. But they store little craft stuff so well too .

Right Ill get some stuff done on here and then move the mirror.

Have a fab day all

Morning everyone
Yep up early, The girls and I are shopping today. Izzy and her sister and Mum. Her poor sister is still hurting from the whack in the mouth, I havent seen her for a few days so hopefully the swelling is going down. She went to the dentist yesterday who is reffering her to the dental dept at Middlemore hospital.
MrP could come but he said nah you girls go have fun.. I didnt need telling twice lol.. So we will hit the oppies too.

Cos MrP stayed in bed yesterday, until 11-15 I got alot of my picture done. When I was a kid I loved doing painting by numbers, althought I was never very good at it.. This just works so well with me..

Years ago mum and I both gave up knitting and crochet, we sold everything.. and of course I started back up again... but at the mo I hae no desire to knit or crochet.. I have probably twice what we had when we sold it.. but no way in h*ll will I be selling it this time.. I will return eventually.

Its MrPs birthday on Saturday, he got half the car for his present, and even tho it will be late he will have his painting... I realised before too that my Stepfather would be 90 on Sunday... Had cancer not got him, I reckon he would still be pottering in the garden and baking.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Absolutely bucketing down with rain here, it's rained most of the night to.

I have a few things to do in town this morning and then I'll keep working on this peony. It looks good on the navy blue, sadly this is the last of the navy fabric I have. I was thinking of maybe selling this bag when it's done, will see how I go.

I must start knitting for my friend's first grandchild. Before I know it, winter will be over and it will be too hot to knit. And I must drop the beanies I've knitted off to the maternity hospital... will add that to my list of things to do in town.

Happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, thick fog here at the moment, well it's what my old uncle would call "mizzle", sort of misty drizzle. Anyway it means the half of the plum tree that still needs chopping down will survive another day.

Working at the op shop this afternoon and have a front pocket to mend on a pair of jeans for a friends son. It will be tricky - things I do!

Still no contact from the stepson and his family, my friends can't believe it and have referred to him as a bludger, loser, user, muppet etc. I have certainly changed my opinion of him. But it is so nice to have my house back to myself, I'm honestly not bothered if I ever see them again.

Popeye, I seem to be off knitting and crocheting at the moment, I have lots of half finished things and a pile of things waiting to be sewn up and I don't seem to have the enthusiasm to do any of it. I will have to force myself to finish them though 'cos they are all needed for the market and the next market is in August which will be here all too soon.

The fog started to lift while I was typing this but it has suddenly got thicker again. Reminds me of living in the Waikato! Hamilton - hot and humid in the summer, cold, damp and foggy in the winter, fog day after day sometimes.

Oh well, I had better get started on mending this flipping pocket.

Have a super day everyone.

What a wet misty or as Kuaka would say Mizzle mess the weather is.. No chance of ducking it, its been constant all day. But home safe and sound.
Went to 2 oppies and didnt buy anything..

Was neat shopping with both girls, I had Izzys hand in mine and her sister was driving the trolley.. They are both helpful too putting things in my trolley for me.. I prefer a warm hand to the trolley lol.

I have a zip to fix in a rather bright onesie.. is that how you spell it? lol. One of Izzys brother got it but the zip has come off one side of the butt section, a cheap job cos it doesnt have the real end of a zip on it. So Ill do that on the weekend when I make some more shopping bags.

A nice milky hot chocolate would go down nice right now, but Missy has just made herself comfortable betweem me and the lappy lol

morning everyone...mum came home yesterday so happy to have her back home with us. While mum was in hospital i made 6 punnets of pumpkin soup and four of stewed apples, they are all in the freezer now, i think il have to make vege soup now, stews for mum and casserole mince dishes. Mum only eats certain foods so i like to have a good stock pre-made for her. We have lots of rain today and its rather chilly. We are having a family lunch on Sunday for one of our sons who has just turned 21, we don't do 21st parties as we have too many children lol so it would be rather costly and 6 of them are a year apart so we always have dinners at home, they all get a present though just not a party. we have 5 down and 3 more to go to turn 21. I love it when we all get together it's very comical and loud lol. Mum loves when all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren come over. I've got a few projects on the needles at the mo, in still knitting for twin boys and also i haven't finished mums merino scarf yet its taking me ages. i like the photos that you ladies have posted of your craft work, that outfit for the wee doll is so cute flick1 and popeye your tapestry is looking amazing. I might just have a cuppa and get the fire blazing before mum wakes up. I hope you all have a super day.
Take care

Morning everyone
Glad you have your Mum home again 10ofus... I didnt have a 21st party, a small group of us went out for dinner.. And I got myself a key mirror for friends and workmates to sign. It got struck my lightening during cyclone Bola, well we think tats what happened cos it was hanging on the wall as normal but a clean break appeared during the cyclone, and it was facing a window. I still have it.

Had a lovely day yesterday despite the rain. Looks like it might be a bit of everything today.
Have to duck up and do my blood this morning..
My other mission for today is to Move where Roly our Canary lives. Madam still manages to get up to him, despite my tin wall on the breakfast bar. So Ill hang him on the door frame leading into the craft room. Its got double doors so he wont be in the way, and theres no way Missy can get to him... and I can take the tin wall down and claim back the bench space.
Must trim rolys claws too, hes going through the molt too so a messy little ratbag lol.

Have a fab day everyone, be careful on the roads

Morning ladies, a late start to the day for me. I had a friend over last night to play snooker and we played till very late and then had a couple of glasses of wine. So this morning I was very tired and feeling very lazy. I know I should be outside spraying weeds, and there's not a breath of wind, but I can't be bothered. I should also be cutting down the last of the plum tree but that can wait till tomorrow. It's not going anywhere!

Yesterday I needed to bring in firewood but before I could get at the dry stuff against a fence and under a tarp I had to shift a lot of green stuff which that Muppet of a stepson had piled up in front of the tarp. Knowing that I would need the dry stuff before the green stuff had dried, I have no idea what was going on in his head when he did that. Grrrrrr! He thinks he's smart but doesn't have much common sense at times.

By the time I had moved the green stuff, brought up several lots of dry wood and chopped some kindling I was pretty knackered, but the fire is so nice, I wouldn't want to be without it.

I'm picking a friend up later and taking her to the club so we can play mah jong, but if there's not the right amount of us, I will come home as long as someone can take said lady home again.

I wanted to watch A Place to Call Home last night, but missed it because I was playing snooker, so will have to watch it "on demand". Can't remember now how the last series finished.

Well I'll have brunch seeing as it's too late for breakfast - and I still have to mend that wretched pocket on my friends jeans.

Have a fab day everyone.

Ohh dear Huntly girl, at 16 I would have been embarassed too. One of my cousins was bathing her son, I was standing well behind her and he peed up over her shoulder and got me lol.

Bags are sewn, just need to add the ribbon drawstring and they are done.

So plenty of time for painting later.

Afternoon everyone
I had such a late start to the day.

I put a sheet of timber in my bed, and Wow did I sleep well.. My hips were good, the back still a little niggly but sleeping solid for 10 hours would do that anyway lol.. So it was 8-45 am when I woke up. Ive done heaps of stuff this morning and feeling good.

Kiwimade the Little Library looks Fabulous, MrK has made an Awesome Job of it.

Ive got a big casserole in the crockpot for MrPs dinner, and have everything prepped to do toad in the hole for me, and a peach crumble to throw in the oven after my tea comes out of it.

It was MrPs birthday yesterday, he requested fish and chips lol.. So todays effort is much better.

I did the bags yesterday and they are with Izzys Mum.. I still havent touched the onsie, but thats my job after tea. I took the buttons off a shirt MrP reckons it shrunk in the wardrobe.. Im going to make a reusuable bag from the body of it.

Was a big frost in town this morning, but the trees must be sheilding our place too much. Cos as the crow flies it it would be less than 1km to Izzys place and they had ice on the car windscreen.

Tis a beautiful day tho.

Have an awesome afternoon everyone

morning ladies :) So good to hear your mum is back 10ofus :) And sunflowers, you are lucky with the citrus fruit, our lemons are finally coming into their own. It's taken years for the tree to mature but I suspect it is where we planted it. Plus a few dry summers didn't help.

It's going to be cold today, the SW wind is back. A shame really as we've loved the last few calm weeks.

The Fluffy One goes home tomorrow, six more weeks before my sister's house is finished so three more alternate weeks of the Fluffy One living with us.

The first calf was born on the nieghbour's farm the other day, a little bull and a real cutie. And I've spotted lambs about too. I always feel sorry for them being born in the cold weather.

Today is a crafting day, finally getting some time to do 'my thing'. But first I need to make some pastry for the chicken pie we're having for dinner. It's a great way to use up the left over roast chook.

Better move, I have two little dogs jumping up at my knees wanting to play. Will have some fun with them first.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning ladies. Yes Kiwimade I am lucky with citrus fruit. Made some Orange Honey this morning. Picked lemons, If you could see our lemon tree its only about metre and half high. I think it was planted when house was build. Someone said the houses had a Citrus Tree and Fruit Tree on the section when they moved into the State House in the 50's. If going to be dry weather I put the hose on and soak the ground.
Like the way you have put aside a day for crafting. The lambs are early for your area.
Hope evryone who not been well are staying to feel better.
What a lunch you put on for the 21st lunch.10of us. There was 3 of us in my family, me and two older brothers.
Well I just taken a call to say I have apointment for a checkup on my knee on Wed.
Off out for lunch today, would like to stay home and work around the gardens and do some clean up inside. Weather going to be fine for a fews days.
Off to do the dishes and collect what I need to take with me today.
What every you do today take sometime for a walk around your garden/section or some crafting.

morning ladies :) The roses are all sprayed and now all I need to do is weed and the garden is ready for spring. Those little white flowers with the green dot and smell like onion (can't think of the name) are in flower already and the roses I pruned the other day have new growth on them too.

The Fluffy One goes home today but back again for another week in a fortnight. Thank goodness this is almost over but more importantly, that she sees our home as hers and settles straight away.

While in Hamilton I'll visit Spotlight as I need a few sewing things. Gosh thread is expensive isn't it? I need some interfacing for my tote bag so this time will buy quite a few meters.

Right - o, better move. The dogs are playing and I'm once again being 'invited' to play... in other words I'm being bashed on the leg with a chew rope lol.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

A quiet day here today. MrP is still in bed, he sid he had a rough night.. So the tv is not on blaring away.
Does mean that the dishes wont get done until later, so I usally make alot of noise, especially if Im trying to be quiet lol.

I moved the big chair last night while we were watching tv... so now the ranch slider end of the house is very open and I can now open the vertical blinds right up without them snagging on the back of the chair.

MIssy is funny tho, The huge mat I got a couple of weekends ago is something she has a love ahet relationship with.. She very seldom walks on it, prefering to walk around it. But I folded it over so I could slide the chair into place, she loves the back of it, was smooching or marking the back.

So when I had finsihed putting it back in place I sat on it, and she was quite happy to come onto it for smoochies with me, but went back to avoiding it when I wasnt on it lol... shes an Odd girl at times lol

I hope everyone has a fab day

Good Morning Ladies
Sunny and it's a warm day here. Late start today. Someone was opening and shutting doors at 2.30 this morning.err.
Washing on and housework is never end at present. Sorting out things take time.
Need to look for a bag pattern later today. Going to make a bag out of a old pair of jeans.Five or six of us are going to see what we can do. I have only a old singer machine at present my other one has gone. RIP.It was 50 + years old. The stories it could tell..
Just going to make the most of this fine weather today.
Love your bag Kiwimade. I need a new one or two so will leave it till I can't be outside.
Hope everyone ok and enjoying the warm weather at present.
Take Care and have a happy day.

morning ladies :) Love your painting, popeye. I bet MrP will love it too.

It's not warm here, sunflowers but not complaining. It is winter after all. Looks like fog this morning.

I finished another bag for my sister yesterday, it has an orange elephant on it :) I'm slowly working my way through my fabric stash. I want to sew a cover for my sewing machine as the vinyl one that came with it isn't the best. My old machine came with a hard cover for real protection but they don't do that now apparently.

Housework today, I need to vacum up all the threads that missed the bin while I was sewing and have a general tidy up. I said to MrK there would be no way I could cope with housework being done once a fortnight lol, it has to be weekly.

We had the Furry One to the vet yesterday with a very sore ear. He yelped when I patted him. The vet said he has a scratch on the inside of his ear which has become infected so we have some cream to put on it twice a day. Could have happened when playing with the Fluffy One or he could have scratched it himself. He was very well behaved with the vet, didn't even growl when he touched his sore ear. And he's lost 500 grams of weight (trying to stop MrK giving him 'treats' and extra food is damed hard). He has another 1.5 kilos to go and better to nip it in the bud now before it becomes harder to do.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

A foggy start here this morning.

Poor Furry one, I hope his ear feels better soon.
Many years ago our Millie cat put herself to bed and wouldnt come out, not even for food. She hadnt eaten for about 20 hours... She got up to go to the toilet and it looked soo hard for her that I put a box beside the bed so she could do it easily. I made an appointment for her at the vet. But she then decided she would let me check herout. She had a tiny 4 mm scratch under her front leg.. I think she just wanted sympathy, it was infected or anything... That was her last con-job lol.. I told her I was taking her to the vet and she suddenly got well... Little madam lol

Shoppping this morning, and it will be a quick visit, reduced to clear and Pak n Save. And thats it.

Im very nasally and startiing to cough today so I dont want to hang around in the cold weather

Painting later, I have about 2.5 inches to do now.

Sunflowers Id miss having a sewing machine too.

Have a fab day all

Morning ladies, a real pea-souper this morning (as was yesterday) but it did clear yesterday to a beautiful if chilly day. Had to go to Kaikohe again yesterday, it always takes me longer to get there than I think it will, I suppose because I normally go to Kerikeri and that's not as far. I always allow extra time to get to Kaikohe which is just as well or I'd always be late for appointments.

Went to my friends last night for her third crochet lesson, I think she will get it eventually but it doesn't come naturally to her. She said she's a "crap student!" Her words. We had a good natter and a good laugh, but she is making progress, she just doesn't feel as though she is.

Working at the op shop this afternoon.

I would hate not having a sewing machine too, touch wood my old Elna is still going - it is well out of it's 25 year warranty - bought it in 1974 I think. I have an old solid Singer as back up, and two overlockers. I would like to upgrade them all to new ones, but I have other things to spend my money on first. It's not top of the "to buy" list. It will get to the top eventually if I live long enough.

Right, time to make a move. No sign of the fog lifting yet. Reminds me of Hamilton.

Have a super day everyone.

I got my sewing machine about 1994-5 ish I think.. It was secondhand.. so is still going well.
It hs a slide on hard cover for the Gap.. between the bed and the top part.. and theres a fold over harder cover the top. Its compact and I had it in our Motorhome.
My overlocker must be about 7ish years I think,. I got it after mum died and I turned the spare ropom into the craft room

morning ladies :) Foggy here this morning but the sun is shining through so I would say it will be gone shortly.

Popeye, your painting looks great :)

The Furry One's ear is healing nicely and he's stopped running off when he sees us coming with his ointment.

I have another bag to finish, not sure if I will sell or keep this one. I embroidered a flamingo on it last evening and am happy with the end result.

I see Middlemore Hospital has put the call out for prem knitting so if you need something quick and satisfying to knit, maybe think of them.

happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies Sun out, aother sunny day here in Napier.
Been good weather for the school holidays, kids and parents out and about making most of the holidays.
Where did yesterday go.. spend the day out with friends sewing, eating and drinking tea/coffee. I did some mending and worked on a bag. Did not line it. Has a pocket inside.
On the big side so I can store and carry my cardboard and sheets of paper for bookart.Going this month,my second time this year.
Thinking of going into the Farmers Market this morning. Ages since I've been.

Like your picture you did for Mr P. Hope he likes it as well.
Kiwimade and Kuaka hope you are ok and enjoying your gardens and crafting. Stay warm and dry.
Huntlygirl welcome. I know what you mean about about the Waikato weather. I also come from the Wakiato and don't wish to live back there.
Time to move and see what the day brings.

Morning everyone
We had a short sharp storm last night, thunder, lightening and hail. Im really pleased that MIssy doesnt give a hoot at the noise. Some animals get so stressed.

Thank you everyone. MrP Loves the picture... I will look at frames this week. I think a simple black one would be best but perhaps a white border between the pic and frame.
I feel a total sence of acheivement with it. And at No stage did I think this is too hard or boring and want to stop. Will get the diamonds sorted for the christmas one today.

Have to duck up the road for some meat for Madam, so I might drag MrP out to the recycle centre. And then Ill leave the car out and get the rod for the curtain in the garage cut, and once thats done I have done all the jobs I need to, just have to sort the screens for the windows for when it warms up.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone

The curtain didnt eventuate yesterday, maybe today but first I need to move one of the freezers in the garage. The new car is longer than the Rav and it makes ittricky for MrP to get between the car and freezer, and it also means I have to get out and check the car is forward enough, even tho I have a board to run too I always check, I dont want the door coming down on the boot.

The headcold is saying No No No but Im going to make myself do things, otherwise Ill give in and be miserable. Bloody annoying things they are lol.

I sorted the diamonds for another picture yesterday, but had a rotten headache so didnt attempt to start working on it. That would have been a mistake lol.

I got a second LED work light at the junktion yesterday ( recycle centre) $5 the same as the one I have already and I think it was close to $50 when I got it.. So now the one on the sewing table can stay there, I wont have to keep moving it.

Have a fab day everyone

Sorry but do not miss the cold, damp weather the Waikato dishes out in the winter Kiwimade. Was thinking about a trip up after school goes back depends on the weather.
Friend and I going for a walk along the beach path and stop for coffee later this afternoon if weather stay fine.
Hope what either you do today, that you enjoy it! Take timeout for yourself as well.

morning ladies :) What a thriller of a cricket game! What a shame about the way the winner was decided.

One load of washing out this morning as it is meant to be fine, doesn't mean washing will dry though but will give it a go. Another in the machine.

Not much on the needles or hook at the moment, trying to find some inspiration :)

happy knitting :)
