Just a little Pam lol. A few more wines than what I'm used to & not enough food ... you would think with my job that I'd know better!!
With things about to take a major change at work for me, including switching to night shift, I don't have the time or energy for a relationship. I still see him, but only as a friend. He's doing 10hr days, 6 days a week for the EQC which makes him fairly unavailable too so we made a mutual decision that for now, the timing just isn't right. Who knows what'll happen down the track.

winnie I know the feeling re relationships and time...was single but with " going nowhere but fun friend "for years due to working up to 3 seperate shifts 7 day sfor years...then "Mr Hello I'm Here and noticing You "came along....wasn't looking, quite unexpected and had just finshed with with Mr friend who wasn't ever upto being a "Mr Permanent "anyway....thought I was happy and was on my own, as always and then HE arrived and we are now together (coming 2 years)...good solid Friend/Couple.Edit to say he was my boss and now both moved onto similar but different workplaces ( both nursing)...Amazing how life alters and I learnt A) I was worth more than Mr Friend and B) He meant it when saying going nowhere fast....we will make you time..... Big plus he makes me laugh, real belly laughs , as he cooks in a fashion like Latisha from 'Vicar of Dibley'.How can you resist that ...

Wooo Hoo back on the bike today with only small niggles from the shoulder. I got caught in a very brief shower of rain, but as it was still warm, and the wind was at my back, it was really enjoyable.

Hi.. I'm glad your shoulder is healing well Calista..

My Daughter and I went to see Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders when they were in NZ last year, doing their French and Saunders show.. it was hilarious..

I added another vege garden area tonight - placed posts at each end and fastened to those, a sheet of the steel mesh used inside concrete floors when building.. lovely compost added from my bins and mixed into the topsoil, everything well watered.. then climbing and dwarf bean seeds sown.. Tomorrow I'll add more sweet corn at the southern end - still gets all day sun though.. sow some more basil seeds, then transplant some of my thyme plants to each end and it's done..

I came inside at almost 10pm.. there's a reason I had lights fitted outside that give good light throughout my gardens... so I can carry on gardening at night!

Have a terrific Tuesday :-)

Sounds like one of those recipes best eaten uncooked ;=)

Darn -I've got the cool morning I was hoping for, but no rum, so cakes will have to wait. I'm making 4 of Alison Holst's "Rum and raisin" cakes because they are so straightforward and I don't really have the energy for anything else. A friend, who rarely drinks, has a large bottle of rum he was given, so will swap me enough for all 4 cakes in exchange for one of them.

I'll probably also make 4 crockpot Christmas puds, 2large and 2 small as well as some Christmas muffins- and that will be the lot.

I can't believe how close it is.

Oh, and by the way - the Animal Service at the Cathedral makes anything on the Vicar of Dibley look as organised as a marching band. The smells, the noise and the kids enjoying themselves has to be experienced to be believed. It's a lovely tradition

Morning Morning Morning Lovely Ladies and Gentleman.

How are we all doing...

Well its been a busy few weeks, and my last real hurdle was hurdled last night... I worked for my old company..... Now the stress of the last few weeks is over and I am skipping around feeling like a huge weight has been lifted.

The Taupo weekend was great, my part in the relay... not so great. It was a stinking hot day, and because I was the last quarter I didn't start my 45km's till 3.45pm... finishing 6.08pm. We left the motel at 8am... so by 3.45pm I was over sitting around in the heat and certainly didn't feel like riding over 2 hours.. although in saying that the ride went really well and dare I say I enjoyed it and could have easily gone further.
Hubby had his car christmas party that weekend as well, another thing that takes huge amount of organising by us.

Then last weekend was my Company Xmas BBQ, which I co organised and soley made all the salads for 40 people, and the little cakes as gifts for everyone that worked in the company (17).
On Sunday I had a blissful day... Put up Christmas.... Spent time with my family... cleaned the en suite shower... went shopping with Miss 16... I tell you I am easily pleased.... Just a lovely home day that has been sorely missing over the last few weeks.

So I have been busy busy busy.

Tonight I am off for the biggest shop I have ever done... the list is HUGE as I haven't done a proper shop in many weeks... I am spending my Pak'n'Save Christmas club... so will get a ham... and other nice bits and pieces as well...

This weekend I plan to chill on Saturday, then on Sunday we have hubbies side of the family Christmas.... Luckily at my SIL's house... so all I need to do is take a plate and my bubbles....

Have tommorrow afternoon off, we have been gifted a "3 hours shopping" afternoon, so after an appointment I have to attend with my folks we are off for lunch and a movie YIPPPEEEE bring on Christmas I say!! And my company also are shouting me a night in the city for hubby and I to say thanks for "going the extra mile", just need to chose a day... they really appreciate me which is so nice.

So thats me busy busy busy....... but happy happy happy.

Well done Winnie and Toady, great to be so valued. Ali, are you going to post a photo of your tree? The "Ho Ho" thing you got, is it a banner you stick in the ground that has a motion sensor. Do you recall which of the cheapy shops you bought it from. Sounds like something the Grandies would have a giggle at.

The Thursday before Christmas. Starts at 3.00 pm but you need to be there at least 45 minutes before to get a seat.

I will be the woman running out the door with her hearing aids turned off.

Thanks everybody!
It's going to mean some crazy hours until I finish my studies, but worth it in the long term. I'll be doing night shift so it'll be school in the afternoon, work in the evening/night, sleep till late morn & lunchtime for any homework/study. Phew!!! But only till Aug when I graduate. I'll get there!

depends on whom you talk to in my family, I would like something like the rocket but hubby choked on his coffee at the mention of the price, so under 4 digits really I would like to know who consumer rate on their mid price ones, even the cheap one as our last one thats just kicked the bucket was quite an impressive one, it was rated the best at the time of purchase (phillips duo) was pleased with the gold and silver am going for purple and gold next year, am looking for some decent white leds for the tree for next year they are quite hard to find, have found 600 bulbs in kmart so far that look the best so if anyone can steer me in the direction of any others that would be great as well. cheers and thanks
