re1450. Addresses on FDC's. I'd not worry at all about addresses on FDC's. I have never ever heard of a problem with this as buyers are collectors and not that sort of people. If your FDC's are addressed then I'd guess they are of many years ago and as the average Kiwi person shifts every 7 years the chances of details over say 20 years old still being current are minimal. Anyway name and address are always available to anyone on the electoral roll and often in phonebook or on line white pages. relax.

1448 stamps on paper Even if the stamps are off the envelopes there may be some good postmarks. A stamp of little value in itself could be worth a lot more if it has a high value postmark. You might want to check if there are full or legible postmarks and not soak these ones. There is a great postmark catalogue compiled by Richard Wooders, maybe it's available from a library. Other people on here may have some more advice for you too.

New Hebrides. I have a tin full of stamps from the New Hebrides condominium (1890-1970) ER RF Just picked one out of the tin . It is In memorian 9.11.70, 30th aniversary of the RALLING to the FREE FRENCH.Not sure if they are valuable as New Hebrides is now Independent.Not sure where the best place to find out about them is either.

Croxley Mail Stamps I first knew about these stamps being released a few weeks ago. Official first day was July 1st and are being sold at OfficeMax, Whitcoulls and Warehouse stationery. Croxley have also producing Prepaid envelopes in various sizes. SO in total 1 self adhesive box of 100 50c stamps, and 3 different booklets so far. I like the design, its different and gives NZ Post a run for there money.

re 1460. Croxley Mail Stamps There are three different 50 cent designs (2 from the box of 100) a $1 and a $1.50 design.

I have the 50 cent stamps postmarked 26 June which is the earliest day of use in Christchurch and the $1 and $1.50 values on the 30th June.

used mint rarity Yes it is .Highly sort after by the African Pygmy tribes as Toilet paper,nice and small ,easily carried in the bush and the minty used type is soft on their very small buttocks.The perferations help with the stubborn ones.Clearly an untapped market that someone is finally taking advantage of!!!!!!!!

More commonly sold in bundles of One Hundred bound up with cotton or wool.When undone the Pygmys use the cotton for Dental Floss and the wool for knitting small carry bags for the toilet paper.This size is perfect ,not to large and not to small.The larger size High values 2/6d,3/-,5/-,10/- are also highly valued buy the women of the tribe as sanitry pads.If you require any further information you may require on the subject

Cal's values The Len Jury catalogue has some Cal CV's listed from 2004 to 2007. Mainly stamp exhibition cal values though.Expired auctions in trademe might give you an idea of prices too.

#229411997 - Forgery??!!! Check this one out. To me it looks like the overprint is printed over the postmark. Also if you compare it to #228685659, to my eyes it appears that the lettering is somewhat blurred, particularly at the base of the "I". Not wishing to cast aspersions on anyone, just seeking the views of others.

1481 madmartz That 1915 KG 8d Official is one of the rarer ones to get.....If Your one is Unused,Green with 9d and Official on it is worth about a third of that 8d one.A stamp is worth top dollar if it has clean gum,no brown tone spots on the front or back,no missing perfs etc....However If your green official stamp is a Halfpenny one,it is only worth a couple of dollars.

1485 Hi madmartz. There will be many stamp dealer sites you can look at and they will give you full retail prices to buy from a reputable dealer.On trademe stamps can sell much cheaper than retail,but you must be accurate in your descriptions or questions depending if you are a buyer or seller.Used Stamps have a huge collector following,for the town,the date etc of when they were used, so long as they are nice condition & not torn.
Some used stamps are worth more than the same one unused.
You should be able to bid on a stamp catalogue here on trademe.

As a child in the 1970s we use to collect stamps in our stamp albums. I have no idea if any of them are worth anything. If anyone wants me to look for a stamp that may be in the album let me know. It was one of those A4 books that you collected stamps from different countries.
