morning ladies :) Thanks for the birthday wishes popeye. I'll say 'happy birthday' to you now for tomorrow as we are having an all day, district wide, power cut tomorrow.

The house sounds perfect popeye, keep that mouse bait down though until Missy moves in.

Sunflowers, I hope you are on the mend. How frustrating having hurt your fingers.

The fog is still here and it's nearly lunchtime so it's been an 'indoor' morning. Housework done and a bit of embroidery too.

Happy knitting :)

Well I have shown Izzy and her mum, And then my school friend this afternoon.. now Im going to sit and enjoy a play on here...

Going to have to give the oven a dammed good clean before I use it, its disgusting...

But Im soo confused as to where anything will go in the pantry, theres heaps of cupboards and drawers that Im all confused lol.. And I have to figure out where to put a rubbish bin cos here I have one on the inside of the cupbaord door under the sink..But its not a life changing desicion, I said Ill kick it around till I find the right place lol

In her opinion I am laying the lounge out wrong and want my china etc in the wrong places lol... Hard case really cos we are only 9 days between our ages, both bulls but oposite minds when it comes to lay outs.

Right Im now going to google and see if I can learn how to drive the oven cos the marks are all worn off.

Morning everyone

Another foggy start to the day.. The Duck shooters will be loving it.

A sad start to my birthday, our neighbour across the road had this beautiful black and white cat.. When I opened my bedroom window I saw he had been placed by the tree outside her house. Someone had hit him.. I went and took him into his house but his Family arent home. Ive facebooked her to tell her where I put him and covered him so her wee boy doesnt see him.
I have to pop up the road for a few things this morning and then Ill be packing inbetween visitors.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) awww that was kind of you, popeye. Not a nice thing to come home too.

We have an overcast morning but omg the sunrise was spectacular. The sky looked like it was on fire.

We went to Raglan yesterday as the power was off all day and had fish and chips by the beach for lunch. Haven't done that for years. Then called in to my sister and picked up the last of her pot plants and a few bits and pieces. She's pretty much ready for the moving people.

I found a beanie pattern online with a braided cable around the head but it is in fingering wool (use size 1 American needles, 2.25mm) so I am going to have a tutu and see how it works in four ply, maybe use 3.00mm needles. The pattern has wriggle room for adjustment and she has explained it in the pattern.

Still embroidering the cloth, almost finished one side :)

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone.
I couldnt leave him where he was, re Tumble.. And thankfully her little boy was with his dad for the weekend so she was able to bury him before his dad brought him home.

Had an awesome day yesterday. Went and stocked up on cleaning bits for the other end and then some packing before friends arrived. My school friend gave me a set of bathroom linen in blue for the Main bathroom. And a Rubbish bin for the kitchen and a Sloth heat bag toy... And Izzy and her mum gave me a Diamond kit Sloth picture that she had done and framed too. Its the first one she has done and I am sooo honoured to have it.. It will be in my Bedroom to start with.
I was looking at kits online last night,, sooo many pretty pictures.. Alot of poppy ones which I love.

Got up early to put the rubbish out and start packing the tupperware in the pantry. Then I go up for the D & C at lunchtime and should be home before teatime. Ive left some baked beans and creamed corn oout for tea.. Nice and simple and we had meat twice yesterday so I dont feel like any today.

Have an awesome day today.

Thanks Granc and Sunflowers.

Yep all went well yesterday.. they said I was the easiest one they had done, cos I was relaxed etc. They were all hardcases so it made it easy lol.

Ive stopped for a break and late lunch... Getting sore now.. But will have an hour off and get a bit more done.

The gardeners have been and will finish the rest on thursday.

Izzys mum is helping me a bit later, we will take the delicates and Roly the canary up to the house and spray the oven. Will put Roly well out of the way from the fumes.

And then our last sleep in this house...

morning ladies :) All the best for the move today popeye, I hope the weather holds out for you. Looks like we're in for some rain here today.

If it rains, I'll do some sewing, if not, then I have piles of garden waste to go into the wheelie bin. The bin man emptied them yesterday and an hour later, the garden waste one was chokka again. Times like this I really miss the paddock we used to own and where I burned the rubbish. Oh well, can't have it all ways.

Still knitting beanies and booties, slowly working my way through my 4 ply stash.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies , A lovely sunrise this morning. Xray on finger went ok. They did not think its broken. Off to a Doctor,Nurse this morning.
Had two bale sacks dropped off when yeaterday,so will carry on in the gardens. Fingers crossed the weather stay fine over the next few days.
No knitting last night ,went to bed early for me and read. Not a lot of reading,I went off to sleep with the light still on when I woke up at 2.30 this morning.

Used wheelie Bins in the pasted. We have a site here where you can take lawn and garden waste.Which is handly. It's heated and cooked. Can buy it for the gardens.
Hope you don't do to much Popeye today. I know you can't way to get into your new place.
Enjoy your day everyone.

morning ladies :) It's raining! I hope popeye managed to move without any rain.

Good news your finger isn't broken, sunflowers. Must be pretty painful though.

Petrol went down to $1.89 yesterday at Gull so that was a quick trip into to town to fuel up the car. When they drop their prices like that it's usually only for a day.

Knitting and sewing today after I've caught up with a few things first. The Little Library MrK is building has a door now, the latch and the roofing iron need to go on and it's pretty much done. When it's all up and being used by the community I'll take a pic and post it.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

We have landed, without rain, and still ohhh so much to unpack.. Only one thing MIA at the mo and thats the medical alarm.

Its raining here too...

We have the sky man coming today, the connectors are different that what we had in the last house.. We have the internet, but no telephone. And the fibre box is in a hard place for me to read the words underneath.. Ill talk to the techinicians again today and see if we can get it sorted.

MrP sat watching Gunsmoke on the lappy last night while I sorted the pantry out thus far.

The movers came in like a tornado so I have idea where the Last minute stuff is.

We cleaned the old house yesterday but I have a feeling the stove didnt get pulled out so Ill go up a bit earlier than what I am meeting the old landlords, and check that and get my raspberry plants too...

Right I need to check FB and then get a bit more sorted...

popeye333 - 2019-05-10 08:50:00
14814

Morning from a Pea souper again... I love fog lol.

A busy day yesterday, I went to the old place and did around the oven that got missed, todied up some weedy bits in the garden and dug up some of the raspberries.. Ive run out of strength so just got the younger ones. Will plant them this morning.

A friend wants to go to Pukekohe to do her shopping so Im catching a ride with her.

The Sky man came earlish yesterday and restored MrPs entertainment and also got the phone working too.

I jad called St John for the medical alarm as I couldnt find it, but then I did when we were looking for something else. So I got that sorted and the lady who was coming, then I cancelled then I rang again came and made sure it was all working etc.

So its nice to have everything working etc.. Well apart from the dishwasher, Ill have to find some instructions online for that. Slowly getting the kitchen sorted.. trying to figure out where the pots and china are going cos Ive never had soo much space before.

Will also swap the contents of the bedside tables over later.. and I need to move somedrawers I have in the lounge but I cant get the foot up on my chair..

So thats the targets for today...

Have a fab day everyone

popeye333 - 2019-05-11 08:42:00

Afternoon everyone.. and a wet one it is.

I have spent the morning finishing the kitchen, and setting out the dvd /cd racks, and putting the hall stand in place for putting the ornaments on and the cook books in, i only have one box containing items in, in the lounge diningroom area so its looking like a house not a storage unit, in here at least.

Have a friend coming around for tea tonight, but we are going to nip up the road to the recycle centre before she arrives.

Tomorrow will be the bedside drawers, and bathrooms.

Ive been trying to give the boxes away, but no takers as yet. So I might have to flatten them and take the to the recycle centre when it opens again on thursday.

I hope everyone is well... A perfect day for crafting..

morning ladies :) It's a pretty wild morning out there but looks like the worst of the storm is almost over.

I have some new plants to plant today, trying to figure out where they will go lol, I think the garden needs to be extended a bit.

The Fluffy One comes to stay with us again tomorrow as it will be moving day this week for my sister. Safer for the Fluffy One to be here rather than under the mover's feet. And less stressful for her too.

Might get some crafting done this afternoon, will see how the day progresses.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Wow what a wid and wooly night. Still blowing well too. But its lovely to watch the trees blowing in the wind.
Im pleased we moved last week cos it could have been the 17th and goodness knows what the weather is going to do next.

Im slowly getting there... Got a nice roll of vynall wall paper to line the pot drawers, I figure it will help keep them clean.

I finally have someone comming for boxes today, so that will make a bit of a gap.

Izzy and her family came around later yesterday and brought Rolies new cage, so I will transfer him, its alot bigger than what he has at the mo, so he will be able to fly more. I have to duck up to the supermarket for a couple of things, so will cheat and buy a small bag of seed, to save me trying to figure out where his container is.

I cant wait for it to all be sorted so I can get back to the Mrs Claus.. time is whizzing by.

Have a fab day everyone...

Time to move asI am off out for a fish and Chip lunch,
So pleased you are happy about your new house.Popeye. How does your cat like her new home?
I know the feeling about making new garden beds Kiwimade. I will cut back this year with my gardens. Hope you enjoyed your weekend and stitching at sometime.

She loves it Sunflowers.. Scared the life out of me with her Outdoor adventure the other day.
She seems far more content here than in the other house.

Ive changed Roly into his new cage and he has devoured two huge dandelion leaves.

I wasnt feeling so great this mornng and realised its cos Ive been norty and not taking all my meds.. I know I shouldnt have but Ive just been trying to do everything and was only taking my Warfarin... So this morning when I realised why I was feeling dodgy that it was cos I hadnt had the one that controls my heart racing.. So Ive taken the and given myself a lecture and a couple of days off.

morning ladies :) Sad news this morning, RIP Doris Day. Mind you, she was 97!

Not sure what the day will bring but I am babysitting the nieghbour's kids for a couple of hours this evening and the Fluffy One comes to stay for a few days. The Fluffy One might as well move in permanently lol.

It was cold yesterday but it made mowing the lawn easier. Couldn't believe how many catcher loads I had, it's only been around 10 days since the last mow. And the plants are in. Still have a list of things to do but the list is shrinking.

I have almost finished the first side of the cloth, if I put my mind to it, I could have it all done. But while the weather was nice, I'd rather be out and about.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Its nice and calm out, but grey again..

Wow I used to love Doris Day movies.. a good age tho.

I planned a slow day yesterday, it sort of was but I was chasing light bulbs and finally managed to get them all done... So im having a quiet one today. I got the needles etc out to do a couple of booties yesterday but thats as far as I got..

Izzys mum and Dad came around last night and her dad finally managed to get the dead bulb out of the heatlamp thing in the en-suite. Not the boog heating ones but the tiny little one in the middle.. Three of us gals tried and failed, but he finally sorted it for us. I dont like a hot room, I dont like hot houses for that same reason too.. So now I can have the light on without the heat.

Have a fab day everyone

Good morning ladies, I know I've been a bit slack lately, but I've been very busy and don't seem to have enough hours in the day. Had our last markets at the weekend until sometime in August - phew! I'm over them for now, but I had a really good day on Saturday, not so good Sunday but all in all it was worth going. The weather deteriorated on Sunday and ended up absolutely atrocious. I had a friend coming over to play snooker in the evening but they chickened out in the end, choosing to stay home instead of driving in torrential rain and gale force winds - can't say I blame them.

So now I have a chance to catch up on things for me, and then I can think about making more stuff for the market next season. I have made a mental list of what I want to make, but will put pen to paper and as I make things I will cross them off. I daresay I will be a bit too ambitious and won't get half the things made, but time will tell.

Pleased you are settling into your new home popeye and enjoying it. Once you've got everything unpacked you won't know yourself.

I sold something on here the other day and I've just checked the listing and for rural delivery I had put $920.00 instead of $9.20 - oops!

Right, time for a coffee, then this afternoon I'm off to mah jong.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning everyone

Markets are alot of work for the return eh Kuaka... All the packing and unpacking etc.

Sadly I didnt get an eassy day yesterday either. A friend forgot to go get the rest of the outdoor stuff down at the other house, so i had a grumpy ex landlord on my case. So I went and brought as much as I could home and Izzys parents came with their trailor and got the last of it. So its all done down there finally.

Im going to try and get all the clothes back into th wardrobes today... Sick of living out of the clothes basket lol..

I did get one bootie done yesterday lol

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, I had a lazy morning yesterday, then went to mah jong in the afternoon, some of us decided we would go out to tea and take advantage of the 2 for 1 deal at one of the local places, ribs and chips for $10, and then I spent 3 hours trying to teach a friend to crochet. I've left her with a ball of yarn and a hook (only to discover - and I can't believe it - that it is the only 4mm hook I have - I'm sure I have more but I can't find any - and I have literally dozens of hooks, I'm sure I have about 30 or 40). Oh well, I'll just have to hope I stumble across one or that I don't need one for a while.

Beautiful day today but a bit nippy out of the sun. Off to knit and natter shortly then I will go and get some groceries. Might even do some gardening this afternoon.

Have a super day everyone.

kuaka - 2019-05-15 10:03:00

morning ladies :) The sun is out so my sister should have a nice day for moving house.

Oh buggar kuaka lol, isn't that Murphy's Law. And popeye, when we m oved here the movers didn't take our clothes! Had to go back and collect them. You have to pay the movers up front too so no apology, no credit back, no nothing. Will never use them again and tell anyone who is moving about them too.

I have a couple of things to do in town today then home to tidy up the piles of prunings and weeds. Not much more to do now and the garden will be sorted for winter. I miss being able to do the whole lot over a couple of days and burning the rubbish. But it is what it is and if we hadn't sold the paddock we wouldn't have the house the way it is today. Can't have it all ways.

Yin Yoga this evening, I've missed it. Our instructor has been away for a few weeks.

Crafting this afternoon if I get to sit down.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

The only thing our movers wouldnt take were the Livestock as he called them lol. Roly and Missy.
Ohh the luxury of having a huge wardrobe, I have racks for tops bottoms and long lol.

While I was pleased I didnt have to do all the lifting, they were messy with putting stuff into rooms. Im still trying to find simple things like the toilet cleaners etc... Im buying new ones today, since its not something that will go off lol.

MrP is staying home and Ill go do about a million jobs when Im out.. Well my list is growing long thats for sure lol.

I totally stuffed a bootie yesterday, wasnt concentrating I guess lol.. On such a simple recipe lol.

A lady that desperatly wanted packing boxes still hasnt turned up so Im going to start cutting them down and take them to the recycle centre over the weekend. Cos I cant really empty others until I have the already empty ones out of the way.

Right I better rattle me daggs...

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies. I have spend the last week or so going over paper work. The Building Soc that hole our mortage is with, changed to Bank. They been pushing for me to move over to them now for weeks. We have been with the trading bank for over 40 years.Always had good service with our trading bank. Just so over it! I' will be so happy when all it's over.

We have been having some lovely sun sets over the last week. Having strong winds at present. My driveway is full of leaves.

Hope you tell the movers you are not happy with then\,that they left your clothes still hanging up at your old place popeye. When we have used movers, we take our clothes over to our new place. Only time we packed up clothes etc was when we moved to England. Six tea chests.
Off to the gym this morning, been 3 weeks away from the gym. My poor body.
Time to move as I need to check all the paperwork before a meeting this afternoon.
Happy knitting !

morning ladies :) lol sunflowers, it was our clothes when we moved to where we are now and yes, they were told! I was sick then too and just starting uni so under a lot of stress at the time.

Slept like a log last night thanks to Yin Yoga, felt so good to be back.

I've made some bird puddings for the birds this morning, have them in the muffin tray so they fit the container they hang in. Popped them in the freezer to set then will bag them until needed. The birds have already munched their way through three left over from last winter.

It's going to be a lovely day by the looks of it, might even be able to get the washing out.

Crafting this afternoon/evening if the dogs stay off my lap!

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
I was thinking about the bird cakes last night Kiwimade, have to find the seed before I can make mine tho..

Have a different person coming for boxes this morning.. ( I hope she turns up)..
I really want to just "Stop" unpacking and let all my pain ease, but my head wont let me.
I was falling asleep from about 9pm last night.. And if I do stop it will never get done.. But once the boxes are gone Ill be able to get to the washing machine and get that running the washiing pile is growing.

I did manage the second bootie yesterday.. I enjoy watching highway to heaven so i knit while it is on.. My hour off before doing tea etc.
I will have to get back to the mrs Claus too, it will be good money for christmas.

Just sitting listening to Roly, he is a happy chappy this morning.. I love nature... soo many people dont see what is in their own area.

Looks like another blustery wetish day here

A definate chill overnight.. but a welcome one from me.

Well the young woman didnt come and get the boxes yesterday so Thats it, Im going to flat pack them and take them to the recycle centre..

Izzys dad is coming around this morning to hook up the washing machine. I have alot of washing to do. And cos I havent / cant reach to make sure the rat poison is all gone Ill at least be able to use the dryer with a window open.. In the last place I couldnt open the window, the tub and machine made it too far to reach. So at least it will be easy to do now and just shut the door off to the garage. yay.

I saw some pictures from our recycling centre yesterday of an awesome indian motorcycle, so I whzzed up and got it for MrP. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.. Needs a bit of a clean but its ine awesome condition. he loves it.
And I hope to get the hall stand dressed today.. Finally lol

Afternoon ladies, beautiful day here, well it was lovely and sunny but it is clouding over. Not a breath of wind, I should be spraying weeds, and if it is still nice and calm when I've had my coffee and put the last of the washing out, I shall go and spray weeds.

Going to the club later to play mah jong, but if there's not the right amount of people I will come home.

Tomorrow I'm going to a friends for lunch, she lives almost an hours drive further north. None of the others who were invited want to go, so I'll go on my own. I will make a bacon and egg pie to take. She said to bring pjs if I want to stay overnight. I just might do that. Well I will take them just in case I decide to stay.

Right, better put the rest of the washing out and then mix up some weedkiller.

Have a super day everyone.

Yep Sunflowers I do love the house.

I should be proud of myself for having packed and now undoing the very full house. I have a box with more of the ornaments for the hall stand somewhere lol cos I havent come across the lace tablecloth I use for the top.

Have had my first casualty, the vase I used to have on the table on my "Mistake" doily. I had a large jasmine candle and some stones and shells in it. It was only second hand but I loved it... The Mistake doily was meant to be a circle but ended up being a frilly circle. lol

The washing machine is on Yay. One load washed, now drying and another on..
And Izzys dad will need boxes for his tools that are at his sisters place so they are staying for now.

Once the meds have kicked in again Ill go and have an organizing session in the Craft room.. Ill have to come up with a name for it.. The other was called the cave cos it was dark and dingy.. this is light and airy.. and huge lol.

A sleep over could be fun Kuaka lol... Id be taking a bottle of wine with the jammies..
My brother and his wife "Live" up there, in Russel. They are house sitters, and have brought a caravan so they can go anywhere.. They have been holidaying up there for many years as my Sister in law worked for the Post office for years and they have holiday homes up there for their staff.

Its very dull here now.

morning ladies :) What a shame your other friends didn't want to go kuaka, but I bet they expect her to travel for their invites.

Still stitching away, sunflowers. Almost finished the first side. And I'm making a dent in the cone of thread too so will stitch the opposite end next just in case I run out of thread.

MrK has almost finished the Little Library he's building, he thinks next weekend it can be put in place reading for the Lions Club to paint. He's painted with primer as he's built it so that bit is done. I'll take a pic and post it when he has finished.

The Furry One has gone home for now. She will be with us for a week every second week over the next three months as my sister's house is built. Where she is staying you aren't allowed pets so this is a compromise.

The waxeyes are back in the garden :) Spotted them this morning but the blimmen minahs chased them off . Now they know the food is there, they should come back and hang around for the winter. They gang up on the minahs lol, safety in numbers!

Coffees finished, am going outside to finish a few things before the rain sets in.

Happy knitting :)

The Furry one is a regular for now Kiwimade but I bet your boy is loving it.

The birds havent taken long to train here. They know I feed out the ranch slider already. Have only seens sparrows, thrush and minahs so far. I will miss the Waxeyes, I hope they find somewhere else to get a meal.

I did a fair bit yesterday, worked away my "I dont want to be an adult" today mood lol... I got into the craft room yesterday, stacked 20 banana boxes plus crates and was able to move the sewing table into place. And i put most of the lose wool back into the pantries. Theres at least another black sack somewhere cos I had a good stash on reds and greens together for the santa toys etc.
I have changed my mind about the drawers again lol... into a much better configuration.
But for today Im hoping to just potter.. lol

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, well the bacon and egg pie is baked, I'm almost ready to go. One of the others decided she will come after all so I'm driving (I don't like her driving - she's one of those that "has to be in front" and I've been with her when she has put her foot down and overtaken on double yellow lines! Not something I would do, nor approve of).

So we are taking pjs etc just in case we decide to stay.

Just having a coffee and letting the pie cool a bit, then I will check the oil and water in the car before picking her up. Looking forward to it. The friend we are visiting lives on a farm further north but during summer spends most of her time here in Paihia as she runs a business here but it is seasonal. The other two who were invited have "other halves" and it's a ladies only lunch.

Oh and I didn't get the weeds sprayed yesterday so they will just be a bit bigger when I do get around to it.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) Sorry palmycritter, I haven't any Crucci wool in my stash. Will keep an eye out for some though.

It's cold outside and looks like it's raining and murphy's law is I have to go into town this morning.

My sister found the old pram sets and a few baby clothes from when we were babies when she moved and gave them to me. They need a good wash and then I'll pack them away. I have no idea what to do with them but will keep them for now.

I should find some time for embroidery and knitting, just haven't had the mojo over the last few days.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

A bit drizzly here today too.. Ive taken the rubbish down to the road, but dont have anything that requires me being outside today.. well I might end up nipping up for Milk but thats a quick trip.

I hope to get the drawers swapped over today.. Then I will tidy the spare room, so that anything that doesnt need to be in the craft room, can go in there out of the way. Its very handy having an extra room above what we need for stuff we dont want to get rid of but dont use often.

Gosh rents are still increasing here. People are asking, And getting more than they have been in the last month or so. 2 bedroom houses are only $50ish less than what we pay for 4 now. We were lucky I think.

The birds are now coming to the ranch slider looking for food, so they havent taken long to get used to the extra Buffet provided here lol.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Everyone.
It's another warm sunny day here in Napier. Spend hours also raking up leaves off the lawn and gardens over the w/end.
I needed to keep off my feet Still can't put shoes on one foot.
We got a letter last week to say they will only takenumbers one and two on plastics and not to use pastic bags.

Would you like me to send you some Sunshine Kiwimade. Hope you will be able to doing some stitching this afternoon. I don't miss the damp cold wet weather that the Waikato dishes out in winter.
Hope you enjoyed your night away kuaku.
Popeye your craftroom sounds great. Hope it will be warm and not to hot in the summer. Are you using one of the bedroms.
I need to have a clean out of my craft room sometime.Keep putting it off.
Have a great day everyone.

It is supposed to be a Family room Sunflowers... But being that there is only two of us we figured it was a bit stupid to use it as its sort oftucked away. We are using what we call the lounge dining room, and you can see into the kitchen from here so feels much better.

Moved the drawers, have a couple of small ones to go through and tidy up.
Ill do that this afternoon and go and organise the spare room which will house stuff that we dont use often. It will give me more room in the craftroom once it is out of there.
So I know have the desk / sewing table, 3 x 2 door pantries, a 9 drawer scotch chest and a 9 draw dressing table with mirror. And the stuff in crates will be away from the sun, they break down after a while so I discovered not long before we moved.
Ill take fabric out of the crates and put in the drawers, it will breath better too.

Afternoon ladies, just arrived home. We had a lovely lunch, lots of laughs, probably too much wine, and my friend and I stayed the night. We were the only two that stayed as the others all lived very close, only 2 or 3 km to drive. So we had leftover lunch for tea (and the spread was amazing, apart from my bacon and egg pie, and chocolate eclairs, there was a chicken, salad, meatballs, lasagne, cheesecake, banana cake and lots of cheese, crackers and dips) and then the three of us played monopoly.

This morning we had a lazy breakfast (frittata) and then eventually came home.

I need to package a parcel and post it this afternoon, so I will drop that into the Post Shop on my way to the club to play snooker.

Going to put my feet up and have a coffee. I'm getting a bit old for all this gadding about. I'm feeling a bit knackered if I'm honest!

Have a super afternoon everyone.

Morning everyone,
I have to admit waking up each day here, in the peace and quiet, no cars hooning around at night is sooo worth the extra rent.. We are both sleeping well, although last night I couldnt get comfortable, but I still slept fairly well.

We both love it..I think it was meant to be.. We had grown stagnent in the other place.. and especially in the last year since it forst went on the market too.

I "Hopefully" have someone coming for boxes today.. And if she doesnt well Im not offerng them again. They are holding me up.

The right hip is annoying me today, so I will potter slowly... The craftroom has two push in doors, which have probably hardly ever been used so i been pushing the open with my hip, and they are really stiff.. As are the doors on the hot water and linen cupboard and MrP's wardrobe, but they are pull out.. so I really have to yank them hard.. Am thinking I might get the hammer and give them a wee bash, too make them open easier lol.

Found some more large balls of wool in a black sack, but I know theres still at least one crate somewhere lol..

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone

I hope your sisters Move went well Kiwimade...

Todays plans are to cut MrPs hair and trim the beard... and then I will get some sort of order in the garage. I got rid of quite a few boxes yesterday. The Banana boxes to someone who is moving, and the others i flat packed and will drop them off at the recycle centre tomorrow. I enjoyed breaking them down actually, was like being a Distructive kid lol.

Hopefully I will find things that are MIA... like MrPs bottom teeth lol and the dustpan that I use for Cat littler. The modern ones all have a silicon or rubber strip along the end which isnt good in cat litter trays.. So Hopefully Ill find one today.

I hope everyone s warm and well///

morning ladies :) Your time away sounds like you had a lot of fun, kuaka, good on you :)

My sister's move went smoothly, the movers were putting everything in storage until her home has been built. The Furry One is back next week, she's finding all the change difficult.

We've had some foggy mornings and this morning is no different. The sun is pushing through though, so I'll be able to dig out some Mondo grass shortly. I've left it too long and it's taking over. This is the second lot I'm digging out, one more to go when this is done. The plants I am 'plant-sitting' for my sister are surviving, to be honest, I think they are doing pretty well here lol.

Yesterday MrK and I put the roof and the bottom rails on the poles for the Little Library he's building, he only has to put the door on and finish painting the primer then it will be finished.

Still embroidering my cloth and deciding if I'll quilt it. That means it will need a bit more than a border.

Finished my coffee, time to get moving.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Maybe the plants wont want to leave Kiwimade lol.. Cant wait to see the Little Library..
Im just having some days off and doing normal stuff, like housework lol...

Have any of you ladies done the 'Diamond" painting yet? Ive got two kits already, but they are for gifts, so yesterday I ordered an Indian Motorcycle with anIndians head for MrP, and a Poppy for me. Ill go to Izzys mum to get her to show me how to do it.. The first ones are for her lol.

They are like a cross between cross stitch and paint by numbers. The kits are really cheap off Aliexpress.

Did the shopping yesterday, couldnt get anywhere near the Sallies shop, fingers crossed for next time.

Sunny here but it is a tad chilly.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone,
We had a real pea souper this morning, so will have a lovely day. The washing is on lol.

Im starting to feel like Im wasting time, so today Ill potter.. We will be getting Izzys bed at some stage over the weekend so Ill vaccum her room, Roly was in there for a couple of days.. And get the toys out and onto the rocking chair.

Ill dig my way through to the sewing machine, so I can get the curtains made for the kitchen, then when Izzys dad is here I can get him to climb up on the bench and put them up for me.

We are getting quite an Audience with the birds now, much to Missys enjoyment. She hides in her tunnel and watches them eat.

Have an awesome day everyone

morning ladies :) And another foggy start to the day, typical Waikato. I am loving these still days though, no wind at all. All the weed spraying is done and it's lovely and warm outside (when the fog lifts :P ).

I haven't done those diamond kit things, popeye. They look interesting though.

Yesterday I refilled the sugar water for the birds, I have a biggish mason jar I turn upside down and the drink goes into a screwed top/dish. There were heaps of honey bees this time as well as the birds. I leave a smallish rock in the dish so the bees have somewhere safe to land and drink. The jar is empty this morning so I had better fill it again shortly *puts sugar on her grocery list*. I am really pleased about the bees as I've been working hard to encourage them. Last winter there were none so I'm quite chuffed.

Might switch things up a bit and do some embroidery or knitting this morning while I wait for the fog to lift. I'm working along the main road now and I need traffic to see me. Am about a third of the way along. Am fed up with the rubbish people have thrown out of their cars, I bet they wouldn't dump their rubbish like this at home. If I knew who they were I'd drop along their fenceline.

The other evening we had a lady and her daughter stop outside our home with a flat tyre. We often have people use our road for breakdowns as it's safer than being on the main road. It was freezing but they didn't have long for the AA guy to come. MrK lent the AA guy some ramps as the car was lowered and the jack wouldn't fit. I hope they made it home safely over the Kaimai Ranges.

Time to put the washing on.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone.

Wasnt awake early enough to see if we had fog, but it is rather chilly this morning. I might need full length sleeves lol..

My pottering lasted till lunchtime yesterday. But we have Izzys room set up. I will check the drawers in the bedside tables to make sure theres nothing she can harm herself on. Shes good tho. She knows not to touch things.
I have dishes to do today, and then I will get the machines out. The sun was just in the wrong place when I was getting tea done yesterday. Izzys dad put my hooks in, so Ill try and get the curtains done.

Rubbish and recycling to do today too. There is alot of cats in this area and double bagging doesnt cut the mustard so Ive doubled bagged as Ive collected but I will put the bags into a black sack and then into the council bag. That should slow them down... Even putting the bags on the top of the recycle bin doesnt stop them.

We have counted 7 cats that come through our section so far. Missy is started having hissy fits at them at the ranch slider.

Have a fab day everyone

Afternoon ladies, not sure if I have done the right thing, but I've just bought a new iphone (second hand!) from an acquaintance and we've spent over an hour trying to set it up, but of course I can't move my photos to it or my contacts because they are on the old phone not the sim card. Not sure if I'm game enough to put the sim card back in the old phone and try to save everything to the sim card. Looks blank and wonders why I do these things?????

So I shall probably spend a frustrating hour or so trying to sort something out.

Have fun everyone.
