I reckon you can never have too much wool either

#Post

Afternoon ladies, we've had a lot of rain yesterday and today, I suppose the gardens needed it, but now it's too wet to mow the lawns. They'll have to wait a few days.

Had the weekend to myself so played mah jong at the club Saturday afternoon and invited a friend round for roast chicken Saturday evening, yesterday I just sat and crocheted. Have finished a dinosaur puzzle and a cow puzzle and almost finished a cupcake tea cosy, will do an octopus puzzle next. All stuff I want for the next market.

kiwimade, your pin box is beautiful - it's the sort of thing my Mr K would have made for me. Still miss him.

flick - that hexagon is lovely - where did you find the pattern?

Hope everyone is staying dry. Have a super afternoon.

I just had a peek on ravelry and there are 68 pages of crocheted hexagons!

Morning ladies, a mixed bag today weatherwise, we've had rain and now we have sun. Not sure if it will last. It's not cold though.

Busy making a bright pink octopus puzzle ball for the next market. Just heard that the market we were going to have on Good Friday is cancelled even though there's a ship in, because the Bridge Club take precedence over the craft market because they usually play on a Friday. Not bothered. I'm fed up with the early starts.

Flick - would really appreciate it if you can find the pattern or if you know what it's called. I really couldn't be bothered trawling through 68 pages on ravelry with the chance that it might not even be there, I looked through the first 6 or so.

Better have some breakfast I suppose or it will be lunchtime (or brunch which I've been having lately).

Hope everyone is well and busy crafting. Have a super day.

Afternoon everyone

Mixed sky and a cool strong wind today. Too windy to have windows in the lounge open cos it creates a tunnel lol.

I seemed to have done alot of nothing today lol.. One of those days I think.

Ive been looking at mobile phones, mines slowly dying... and they dont make the same one any longer.. I really like this phone more than any I have had. And I sure as heck dont want to pay hundreds for one.. just one that is touch screen and does the basics is all I need..

Back to more homework for me I suppose to get a good deal.

Flick - thank you so much for this - I will give it a go - I must admit she does look cack-handed to me the way she holds the yarn and hook - not the way I was taught but anyway she gets there!

morning ladies :) I haven't seen the video yet but she isn't left handed, is she?
I'm going to give it a go too, could make interesting blankets. And I'm always keen to try something new.

I called into Spotlight yesterday to buy embroidery thread and wondered why on earth I bothered. I really miss the boutique craft shops where the people working there knew what they were talking about and had great stock.

Going to get organised for our few days away. I have some baking to do, mac and cheese to make for son (a bribe and thank you for house and dog sitting) and better find where I put our suitcases. MrK has our fishing gear sorted and we'll buy some bait today.

Daylight saving finishes this weekend :( while we're away.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

I hope for a much better day today.

MrP chose to put on a super paddy cos the drs were running over an hour behind.
I have to have a small opp so they can get to where they need to be.. But when they took my BP it was through the roof cos of MrPs tiff (he stormed off) it was 187/95... Ive never been that high before. Normally mine is so low they test again cos they dont beleive a big woman can have a low BP.

Then we get home to the letter saying the place has been sold and we get the grand sum of 42 to move. I was more than annoyed, we have been here nearly 15 years and we didint even get a phone call... well not till a couple of hours later. But the landlord has lied and thats the bit that is annoying me.

So its back to looking for a new place, although Im going to ring the real estate lady later, cos I dont beleive what the landlord told me.. and see if we might be able to stay.

So this morning Ill do my bloods and the groceries then come home and make a few phone calls and argghhh I have no idea how we are going to do this,,, neither of us can lift or move large items.

Have a good day everyone.. Have fun on your trip Kiwimade

morning ladies :) I've just spent a very happy couple of hours in the garden doing some heavy digging and lifting. We had to pull a hydrangea out using a tow rope and the car but first I had to dig around the roots and loosen it quite a bit. So once that was done, another massive hole had to be dug to replant it (it better bl**dy survive after all that effort lol) in a better spot. Then some dahlias had to be moved as they were too tall for where they were so I cut them back, put the last of the flowers in a vase and moved the plant to where the hydrangea was. Then I could finally plant the lantana I picked up for free from Mitre10 yesterday. Phew lol... all for one free plant. Our Mitre10 is renovating and they were giving away some sad looking plants so I took home a lantana and a clematis. A good soak in seasol and they are good as new. The clematis can wait until we get home as I have to do some similar work to put it where I want it.

Ohh buggar about moving popeye, I hate moving. I hope you can stay or if not, find a home you like and can be happy in.

MrK has been asked to build a 'little library', one of those cupboard things you can take a book and/or put books in by the Lions Club so he's drawing up the plans now.

Right-o, better move and do this baking. Yoga this evening thank goodness, after all the digging this morning, I could use it.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Oh what a day, hunting, offers, house stuff coming out of my ears... Had to dope up cos at midnight I couldnt turn my brain off lol.

But Im going to try and do a bit of normal everyday too.

Ohh kiwimade you reminded me of a time when we had to pull some flax out. Sadly we couldnt get a car anywhere near to do it.. so I wrapped a thick towels around me, and tied on a rope, I kept the tension on so MrP could cut it away,, was about half way through and all of a sudden the PD boys arrived,, made us sit down on the back deck and watch. And they had it pulled out and tidied up in no time lol... All cos we had been kind to one of the guys earlier.

And yes I hope the hydrangea survives, I think they are pretty hardy too.

Ohh is there anything special I should do before i lift my raspberry plants? It will be over my dead body that I leave those here.. since Ive lived with 2 spines for years and I now know I have at least 13, but probably more.

Have an awesome time away Kiwimade, heaps of pics...

Phone calls to make so I better get cracking.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Everyone, Overcast here this morning, the sun doing its best to come out.
There was a couple of hydrangeas on the section. One right in middle of the front garden and another up the back. I took cuttings from the plants and potted them up. 12 months later I had a row of hydrangeas down the side of the house. Used them to cover a iron sheets fence. For 10 years or more had lovely show of Blue flower heads.Last year when the flowers came out and stared to die off the heads turn to Pink to Red flower heads. One of my weekend jobs to do is dead heading of flower heads.

Take care Popeye, sorry to hear you need to go back into the hospital. I sure there is a unit or house out there with your name on it.
When do you take off for your break Kiwimade? Hope the weather is kind to you and Mr K. Stay safe.
Yes, we have used a car to pull out large plants and small trees at ome place we had in Auckland.
Time I moved and have a coffee and do some outside jobs, now the sun is out.
I'm waiting to hear from the nurse if they are doing flu injections today or next week.
Happy crafting everyone.

Good Morning everyone
A Damp day out there but Im sooo loving the cooler temperatures.

A friend took me to show me a couple of houses yesterday and we have an appointment to view one today.. Im already in love with it. Its flat it has two walk in showers and very private and I think it will be cooler in the summer and a huge double garage. And it has a door lifter thing so I could drive in with MrP still in the car so if its raining he will remain dry.

So Fingers crossed.

Thankfully alot of our stuff is in crates etc so moving wont mean alot of packing etc.. Ive called to get a quote from the movers here they were on annual leave but will get back as soon as they can..

Apparently we can now give our landlord 3 weeks notice, our neighbout showed it to me yesterday. So it could all happen very fast...

MrP is stressed which isnt helping me, but I think its cos he knows he cant help and that upsets him.

Wont be any knitting for a while I dont think so Ill pack that all away too.. Ill need to pace myself with packing etc and no lifting so the rest time should be resting.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone
Quite a heavy dew here this morning, the temp did drop overnight. Its only 13 outside.. Loving it

My plan today is going through the wardrobes and drawers to get rid of what doesnt fit. Ill take it to the oppy tomorrow. No sense moving stuff we dont need to keep.
I have someone coming to pick up the knitting machine.. I know Ill never get around to using it, so it might as well go to someone who will. And shes a friend of one of my ex friends daughter.

I best plod along the more time I have the more I can rest inbetween too.. Well I dont totally rest. Last night I went through magazines taking out recipes and recycling the rest. I have two sets of drawers beside my lounge chairs, I do those in my rest time... The one thing I dont want to do is get so run down that I end up with shingles and also want to be strong for my wee opp.

Hope the fish are biting and staying Kiwimade

Morning everyone

A nice cool one. Missy is trying to make out she needs the heater on.. I told her to harden up Buttercup lol... MrP is wearing more than just a singlet now lol

Wow I have heaps of rubbish lol... Im clearing as well as packing. Envelopes to recycle, bills in the rubbish lol.. We went through the wardrobes and drawers, alot of MrPs clothes have shrunk apparently lol So I have a bag to take to the oppy this morning and have got two bags in the rubbish, minus buttons of course.

This morning I have to take our id up to the rental place, post a sale, drop the bag at the oppy and then Ill pack more cookbooks and some of the ornament stuff.
I also have a set of drawers with games etc in them so Ill give them to my friend for her kids, might as well have less to move. One is the game of Yahtzee that we have had since we were kids and before 1978 so its as old as my friend lol.

Right better get a couple of things done here.

Have an awesome day everyone.

Good Morning Raining and cool here today. I may or may not go out this afternoon.
Good luck with your clean out of things before you move Popeye. When we left to live in England alot went to an auction house.
I was with a girlfrend having dinner and a few drinks. but could tell on the look of Mr S face that everyone got a bargin that night. Alot was new as well.
Not looking forward to next move. Have to face it when the time comes.
Hope Kiwimade and Mr K are enjoying some time away. Hope they get some fine weather ,so they can get some fishing in.

Kuaka, hope you are enjoying yourself and everything is ok?. Are you doing a Easter Market or is all finished for the season? See we are still getting the odd ship in.
Time to move, still some rain here.
I'm busy sorting out paperwork and doing some knitting as well. Try and go for a walk most days.
Enjoy your day Ladies

Afternoon ladies - was going to say "morning" but I've missed that! It is definitely much cooler in the mornings now and I struggle to drag myself out of my nice warm bed.

sunflowers I have a market this Saturday and then one on Monday, think there's one or two over Easter and two in May and that's it for the season. I'm looking forward to having a break from them and being able to do a few things for me.

popeye, good luck with the house hunting and the shift. People keep telling me I need to sell my place and find something smaller but I ignore them. I like it here and all the time I can manage I see no reason to leave. Apart from that I would miss the space. I would miss my sewing room and the billiard room and the privacy - I have no near neighbours.

Anyway, it's time I did some gardening - groan! so I had better do some.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) We had a fabulous time away, no fish but we did get the fishing gear wet. Such stunning beaches on the Coromandel Peninsula, we had forgotten just how beautiful it is up there. The Furry One apparently sat on the back of the couch at the window and waited for us (we were gone two nights!) to come home. Our nieghbour's kids felt sorry or him so came over and played with him but he was straight back on the couch when they left. Our son said he would eat (didn't miss us that much then lol) and then back to the couch. Boy he was one happy dog when we got home lol, didn't leave our sides all evening.

I didn't do any knitting as we were too busy catching up with family. The thought was there, I had it in the car! Today I'll catch up with the washing, most of it has been done just need the towels to be washed and hung out. There is still a little unpacking to do and to give the fishing gear a proper clean.

Knitting or sewing later on I think.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

So pleased you had a lovely trip Kiwimade.. I am now ashamed cos I saw your post on fb and wondered where the heck you were.. And now you said it was the Coromandel Peninsula,, I grew up in Thames.. and I didnt know where you were lol.
Ohh The Poor Furry one, he will milk it for a few days.. "You Left me" lol.

Had the movers around last night, Im soo pleased he said they have had the same sized house with more in it than we have lol..

More packing today. I was going to bag the cds and dvds in their racks but knowing my luck I wouldnt get it tight enough so Ill box them up. The lounge really looks like we are moving now. And I have another set of drawers to go through..

Made myself sit and knit last night.. Lol packed up the Santas but I copied out the booties pattern again and did one last night. A good way to make myself stop and rest a bit .

Grey clouds coming in. Might do a load of washing and run it through the dryer,, steal the heat from it lol

HI
Yes Sunflowers we will know before the end of the day.

I decided to box up the dvds and cd's..knowing my luck if I bagged and taped them they would still escape. Just a couple of things in the lounge left to do.. And I went through the drawers in MrPs bedroom now have a drawer and a half that I can put things in.
Have another pile of letters to go through this afternoon.

The good thing is I founf some screw in light bulbs, im taking our long life ones.. So Im pleased I dont have to buy new ones to leave here.

And I found the instructions for the rangehood and new stove too..

Time for a wee play.

aww flick, no wonder your girl was in so much pain! I think knowing what is wrong helps hugely and endo and Crohn's can be managed. I hope she has it under control quickly.

Into the garden for me this morning, more dahlias to prune back, weeding, just a bit more of a general autum cleanup. The bins were emptied yesterday but they will be full again soon. Compost bins are waiting for lawn clippings when I mow the lawn later this week.

I'll pick up my knitting or sewing later today, didn't do any yesterday.

happy knitting :)

Morning evertyone

Ohh must be easing the mind to finally have a diagnosis Flick.. No wonder she has been suffering.

The real estate didnt ring last night so Ill be rining after 8-30 and see whats happening.
Ive tweaked a muscle on my left side by the ribs, and it catches when I reach, which is Annoying,, but Ill work through it. I plan to do the tupperware cupboard and some of the china.. The China being the biggie. Ive loved china since I was a kid lol

But we have the drs first, and Ill grab a couple of things at the supermarket on the way home.

Was tired last night, nodding off in front of tv, so I went straight out when I got into bed lol.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone
Grey cloud cover today... but a nice temp.

Off for our flu shots today and then shopping...

I didnt get any china packed yesterday, but did practically get all the tupperware done.. Just the odd shaped stuff that can go in other boxes.. So hopefully Ill get into the china, it depends on how long I take in town.

Does anyone want a grumpy hubby lol.. I think he is just stressed cos he sees me working and he wants to help but cant.. Which in a way is odd cos he hase never packed anything in the house, usually just the garage.. So inturn that frustrates me... Ill be pleased when we get to the other side of it all.
Still havent heard about the house so have enquired on some others, to make a time for viewing.

No knitting again for me... but the bonus is it will be there when Im ready lol.

Have a good day everyone

Lawns to mow shortly as we are meant to have thunder storms this afternoon. I have a funny feeling the Furry One is coming back to us today for a few days. Better finish this coffee, hang out t he washing and start the lawn.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies, It's warm and the sun is out. Been out in the garden for last hour or so. B/fast and a hot drink, back out to the garden.
Washing just about dry. Spend a hour or so dead heading the flower heads till dark last night.
Had a hard day Tuesday dealing with lawyers, banks, mortage brookers...so very little sleep over the last few of nights.
My bank surported me all the way. It was just others I had deal with.
Be glad to see the vines off the fence today baged and taken away.
So very little crafting this week.

Popeye, are you taking time out for some craft work or reading. Take Care.
Kiwimade, yes it is busy time of the year for us cleaning up the gardens, planning what needs to go or stay.
O.K everyone, my guy started mowing the lawn,so time for me move.
Have A great Day Everyone.

morning ladies :) The thunder storms seem to have passed through, was pretty wet coming home from yoga though. I did manage to mow the lawn before it rained so that's all done for another 10 days or so.

I'm not sure what we're doing today, I suspect some housework will be involved. I still have a few things to do in the garden so I might just go outside instead. At some point I have to tidy up along the fenceline on the main road so I need to borrow a high viz vest. Even wearing it, the traffic doesn't slow down so a local business has said I can borrow some of their orange cones.

Crafting of some sort hopefully this afternoon.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
We had alot of rain through the night with thunder earlier in the evening... I do love a good storm lol..
Funny tho My mother hated thunder as much as I love it .

Ohh we went and had a look at the outside of another house yesterday. Its a Stunning old villa that has been restored.. Its beautiful, but this time I havent let my heart get attatched, I have a feeling it might be out of our price range. We go to see it late tomorrow

I had a day off yesterday, did the shopping and spent most of the afternoon trying to learn hown to drive my new phone. Im nearly there I think lol.

Have to pop up the street this morning so Im going to take time out at the oppy for a look. I did nip in and get the superoval I wanted.

Izzys mum popped in last nigt briefly, told me to hold out my hand.. and she dropped in a little those sheer bags for jewekery that I cant think what they are made out of, and in it is a Sloth stich marker.. I missed out buying one when I saw them on FB they went soo fast.. So I have it hanging on my chain I always wear.. Such a lovely surprise and it did lift my spirits.

Better get a few things done on here.

Stay safe on the side of the road Kiwimade

Afternoon everyone
Guessing that everyone is making the most of the good weather and tidying their gardens.
Ive done the bulk of the stuff in the kitchen this morning, have to leave some to live with lol.
One cupboard of stationery stuff to pack and thats the whole loving area done. So Im getting there.. I hate having to go and do it but do enjoy it when I am doing it..

The bonus is Mega smooches from Missy while Im on the floor so its worth it.

I might take Izzys mums offer of a corner of their garage so I can get the boxes out of the living area.. It feels like it is closing in on me and it is really affecting my moods... So it will help if I can get rid of some.

I just put a steamed pudding on,, a 3 hour cooking one, lol But it will be out before we go look at the villa.

Have a fab day all

morning ladies :) We had our first frost! A very light one, but still a frost.

I have the oven to clean (ugggghh!) today, it's long overdue. And twice a year I wash the outside of the house down so that will be done over the next few days too. I can't do any more in the garden until the wheelie bins are emptied and MrK has emptied the compost bins. Ever since a rat jumped over my shoulder years ago when the kids were small, I refuse to empty them. Believe me, I let out a yell when it did that!

I haven't been bothered to do much crafting lately so will make an effort this afternoon.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

We were expecting a frost too Kiwimade, it got quite cold last night.. anf every time I got up thorugh thr night the sky was still very clear.
I have a thin cardy and slippers on, hard to think that it wasnt soo long ago we had that heat wave.

The villa was beautiful but its not workable for us. Theres a tight corner that MrP would easily bash with the walker, and the double garage isnt for use, which makes it hard for our freezers etc. We were driving home and both said the same thing at the same time..

A bit more packing today, and washing and dishes and the rubbish of course. Our recycle bin is absolutely chocker, go out tomorrow thank goodness.

I havent knitted since the first bootie so I will aim to do some today.. it will help my head lol..

Kiwimade my nemesis are wetas.. I totally squeal like a woman lol.. Totally hate them ol.

Right a little play on here then back to work..

Good Morning Ladies, After a very cold day, the sun out and clear blue sky today.I think there may have been a light frost this morning.

No knitting yesterday. Spend time in what should be my craftroom and started having a clean out. Last night I had a basket of odd balls of wool mostly DK.Mostly left over from other projects. In a day or two I will see how much I have.Maybe a blanket,a cushion cover. We will just have wait and see .Some I had to rewind.

Will go out and rake the leaves off the lawn and garden.Spray the drive way. Some moss needs to be removed off a path as well.

Kiwimade hope you re able to do some crafting this afternoon. How the garden clean up going? My lawnmowing man didnot turn up,so hope he shows up this week.
Popeye how the packing going? Take care and give youself some me time.Good of your friend to take some of the packed boxs away.
Time to move and do some of my jobs.Times like this, I wished Mr S was here. It was our Wedding Anv last Monday. 47 years.
Happy crafting everyone.

oven is nice and sparkly clean, it's a job I hate but worth the effort.

Garden cleanup is going well, sunflowers. Just have the salvias, a few more dahlias, the delphiniums and hydrangeas to prune back. And roses in July of course. I have to spray the weeds growing where we park the car and on the concrete cracks too, but that will have to wait for a windless morning. MrK is emptying the second compost bin now and omg it is soooo rich looking. Can't wait to use it. He's pulled out some tomatoes (into the wheelie bin, jammed in) and the cape gooseberries are almost done.

Better hang the rags I used to clean the oven with on the line seeing as the washing machine has finished.

Happy knitting :)

Yep the packing is going well..

Sometimes at night I would try and count the book collection I have in my bedroom.. Childrens Press and also Dean and Sons books. All the kids classics.. I can now say I have 207.. plus my Enid B;yton Collection and the Annuals.. I think the Annuals is about 55.. but not sure on Enids until I get more boxes to pack.
The funny thing is that I have never in my life read any of them. I prefered to be outside when I was a kid.. And only started reading with consistancy when I was about 11-12 and that was Mums Mills and Boons collection lol...
I had forgotten that I have some Laura Ingalls Wilder books so I intend on reading them at some stage.
Please everyone cross their fingers for us tomorrow.. It turns out that the Villa has a 16 square meter shed that I didnt even notice and it has power etc... so we have it back on as the Second option cos they are willing to protect the scary corner and put in a ramp.
So Im still going to try and get the first one we looked at, but know at least we do still have an option..

Ive rested this afternoon.. Those books were heavy and I know I shouldnt have lifted them, but wasnt going to sleep with them on the bed lol

Morning everyone
Chilly this morning. I have slippers on ...lol

I have one box left so will do the Enid Blytons Some of them are very old. I love the smell of them too .

I have called the manager of the house I love and left a message so hopefuly she will get n contact quickly.

I didnt knit last night. We watched Body Bizzare and I read the subtitles to MrP, so that stops the knitting.

Its funny cos since the first day I saw the first house I couldnt figure out where to put the dining table, it popped into my head this morning and so easy to do. Sometimes my "Logic" doesnt kick in until Ive been around in many circles... Now just gotta get the house lol

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Fingers and everything crossed for you popeye.

I have finished washing the outside of the house, a broom, a bucket, dishwashing liquid and the hose does the trick. I do it twice a year, even did the house when we lived in town. I need the dining room table to set my sewing machine up but MrK is busy drawing his design for the Little Library he's building for the Lions Club. I need the space to mend a curtain for a friend. So I can't sew until he's finished.

In the meantime, I'll get the dishes done and make a cuppa. Think I have earned it after this morning's effort.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Everyone, A very slow start this morning, overcast and could be a shower or two coming our way.
I've put up a bug somewhere so not alot of sleep last night.
Busy weekend trip to s/market Saturday. Coffee and scones with friends..

Yesterday I started clearing the add on to the car shed. It is used for houseing potting mixtures, Seed trays, some garden tools etc Not to forget the clothe's line. It's handy if rain about, windy, used it alot in the winter as well. An hour today and it's finished for another few months.
Last night I watched Dancing with the Stars. Anyone else see it?
During evening I pulled out some bins of wool and taken out the odd balls of 8ply and other wool that was left over when I was weaving etc.. just need to check two more bins, Put the wool into a basket, with a pair of needls to start a blanket. Something I can pickup while having a coffee, watching the news etc.

I did my windows outside and hosed down the walls as I went couple of weeks ago. Just need to do couple of rooms inside. Not an easy job to do.
The sun is out so I will make the best of it and keep clearing away leaves and weeds.
Hope you get the house you like Popeye. A friend is moving over Easter. Four bedroom house was on for $680.00 a week. Got it $660.00 aweek.
Time for meto have something to eat.
Enjoy your day.
Happy Crafting.

Well

Now I know lol

I officially have 427 books and Annuals.. Thet really surprised me, but 58 of the annuals were in the lol so that kinda made it feel less in the bedroom. All packed now.. And I used the walker to bring the boxes out here. Have some big dusting to do on the book cases.. lol

Wow Sunflowers its dearer there than it is here.. The two we like are $540 and 550.. oddly the 3 bedroom is the dearer over the 4.

I called the property manager and left a message, she rang back and asked how I got her number... so she was going to ring Barfoots here and see whats happening and Im to ring her later.

So achy crossed fingers now tho lol..

And I need more boxes lol

morning ladies :) Wow rent is dear isn't it. I missed DWTS, will have to watch it on demand.

Popeye, the vets have good sturdy boxes and the boxes Maccas' fries come in are a perfect size and take 5 kilos, so very manageable.

A busy day today, I love autum and being outside. Crisp clear days and no sneezing! It's the one time of the year I don't have a runny nose lol. I'm working through a list of autum 'jobs' that need doing, both inside and out. I'm a 'list girl' and find things get done this way.

Crafting later this afternoon. I'm stitching a wee pin cushion to fit in the lid of my pin box. Just making it up as I go along out of felt and embroidered flowers, nothing fussy. I mended the curtain for my friend and you can't even see where I sewed, she was lucky I had the identical thread though.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Yes Kiwimade rent is shocking, we have been very lucky tho and had the chepeast rent in town for a very long time.
Ohh I never thought about the vets for boxes.. Ill ring them this morning before I go up the road.

Im a List girl too, maybe its a taurean thing.. As soon as I heard the place had been sold I started making lists.
I always figure if things are written down I dont have to worry about forgetting things so it doesnt clutter my mind

Its very quiet here at the mo, noticing it more than ever.. no kids sounds from the school.. When I got up it felt like the weekend, well it still does lol.

Speaking of curtains, I am going to miss the ones I made for here, I suppose it would be cheeky to ask the new owners if I could have them if they are totally redecorating.

The new place has verticle blinds, thats going to be interesting with Missy Moo lol...

A Tad chilly this morning, but I still have the windows open to change the air. Im feeling more alive than I do in summer tho

Have a fab day everyone

Hi Ladies, Starting to get cooler now.Look out one window in office and grey clouds coming up from the south along the coast, the other window shows blue sky and sumshine.
Going to start my blanket tonight,if I don't go sleep Watching Dancing with Stars.
When we packed up our books when we left to go to the Uk to live it took four/five days to pick out the ones to go with us. Gave away heaps and took what was left over to the auction. Hard Cover books and soft cover books etc. Cooking Books, Craft, garden books etc plus paperbacks.Mother had two large boxs in her shed.We left NZ with two large cases. carried on bags with us. Our tea chests (6) arrived 8 weeks after we got there.Came back to NZ with 6 t/chest and one box with a New m/weave oven. Two chests had china etc in them.Full with Blue & White Willow Pattern.Set the table up for 12.Not one broken piece
I'm doing the Easter Dinner for 8. this year. It's our turn and friends are bring dishes of food. So once again the Blue and White Willow Pattern will be on the table. Used our Linen and clothes etc as packing material.

Popeye I feel for you with your packing. Have you got the house or not?
Cooked a c/role a couple night ago for 6 servies, Had one over the w/end and again tonight and what's left will be going in the freezer .
Slowly getting on top of my meals. It's getting cooler soup,c/role pudding weather.
It;s time to check my dinner and watch the news. Just may put a light to the fire. It's all ready to go.
Hope you all had a good day.
