Good morining Ladies, Fingers crossed that my lawns get mowed today or they will be cuttingit for hay . Another couple of downs pours yesterday.
Spend the evening clearing out the back garden. Hoping they will be able take weeds today when they come to mow
Made some jam last night also.
Can you tell I don't like paperwork?

Morning everyone,
Wow we had impressive thunder and lightening just after 6am this morning. Oddly tho when I got up at 5-30 the sky was blue and clear. Poor Missy got a heck of a fright and run for it, sounded like the thunder was directly above the house.

Welcome Donna, I do have a stash but as Im a toy knitter and crochet blankets I dont tend to have leftovers either. I can second the oppies, they are great to pick up odd bits. Put a message in your local supermarkets or local FB groups too.

Our lovely lawn people came around yesterday and gave us a quote for all the gardening and smack on the dollar I was hoping to pay.. so it will all be done and taken away before Christmas. yay.

I finished knitting the doll yesterday, so very pleased, Discovered Id missed two pieces too.. So amongst changing beds today, I will put her together.

I realised Ive never found a Baby doll pattern by Jean Greenhowe... I wonder why she never did one.. Too late now too that she has retired.

Sunflowers, the paperwork after a loss is horrible, I think we all know what you are going through.

your thunderstorm popeye, hit fishb8 (good morning thread) in Hamilton around 7.30am and it is now here with us. Pretty impressive thunder, real rolling stuff and the lightening has stopped the hedgecutter guy from cutting the farm hedge next door.
I have made our Christmas wreath and if I do say so myself, am pretty chuffed with it. Dried roses and lavender and a bit of bling to brighten it a bit. It's hanging in the window so people who use our road can enjoy it (I hope!)

morning ladies :) It's a gorgeous morning here but rain due this afternoon. Might even be able to get the washing out. Lawns all mowed yesterday as the sun came out in the afternoon and it got really hot. Thought I would get it over and done with for the week.

I'm off outside, will finish the weeding and transplant a sickly rose. I have four big piles of weeds to bin, can't compost thank to convolulous. Amazing how much has grown in a week/ten days.

Crafting later today and Yin Yoga this evening.

I can see the roses on the fence from my lounge chair now. they are above the heavier part of the net curtains.. I didnt know you could get a pink Ice burg rose. Its giving its all with flowers in the wind tho.

morning ladies :) It would seem the farmer next door heard me grumbling about privet and had the hedge cut finally. The hedgecutter tried the other day but there was too much lightening around to do it safely.

I need a good morning's work to finish the weeding and then I should be finished for another couple of weeks. All this rain has the weeds growing like crazy.

I have almost finished my butterfly and must admit I'm happy with my first attempt. Next time I'll fiddle around with the shading more. I had better start thinking about what to do next.

Christmas is around the corner but we're going low key this year. Will try and visit daughter and her family in January and have another 'Christmas' then with them.

Popeye it's lovely to see flowers from inside.I have a red climbing rose that I can see from the bedroom window.Badly needs dead heading after all that wind we have had over the last week or so.

Pickup my knitting last night. Knitting a cotton scarf at pesent. Slow going!
Been up to the eyeballs with paper work that didn't see daylight for a few weeks.I wonder why! Have to vist Winz in the morning to sort out payments.
Looking at bus fees as I am heading up to the Waikato later this month. look forward to seeing some of the family.
Have better move and see if I can clear my office desk...

Morning everyone
Wow we had some impressive rain at 5am.. Lawns are due today but they might not get done till later in the day.

Visit went well with the dr. I got a nasal spray, which I didnt know you could get on prescription. Only a $4 surcharge fee.. So Im sure that will help and shes doubled up my antihistaimes. Big hugs for christmas.. Sometimes i wish she wasnt our Dr cos she would be a great friend.

I finally managed to get out and weed under the passionfruit and the two main starting points of the black berries. Only took 30 minutes too. I enjoyed it too for a change. So once the lawns are done and the other gardens fixed it will look soo much nicer here.

Shopping today and Ill take MrP to the Cheapie christmas shop. He does the normal stuff but he has a Huge, no Massive range of christmas ornaments etc.. mrPs fave shop...I just hope he can get his walker in there.

Wrapping presents later and then Ill get back to putting the doll together.. Then I too will have to think about whats next.

Better rattle the Daggs I suppose..

Ohh Flick they are cute... Sure to sell.

We decided to venture to the warehouse today.. It was busy but not unbearable. Got a few things there, when to what used to be the clearance shed now called crackerjacks got a few more things there, grabbed lunch and came home... If my foot wasnt so sore Id have done a coule of oppies, but they will wait.

Hope the lovely day has seen the gardeners into their happy places.

Yesterday I was definitely in my happy place, warm day, and outside. Today it's a housework day, the spiders have moved in.

One small piece to go on the butterfly wing and it's finished. It won't take me long to do.

MrK is coming Christmas shopping with me when I finally get round to doing it. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing lol.

Good Morning Everyone,It's going to a very hot sunny day. I slept in, so I will work on gardens as sun moves around. Do some house work and see how I go.
Spend hours and hours on paperwork this week and still have to go back this coming week.

Coming up your way for Christmas Kiwimade. I'm not sure for how long. Top of my list of to do is buy my bus ticket.
Picked up my knitting last night did a few rows and put it away.Put on some CD's and did a crossword word or two.
I have to keep telling myself to relax and there is always another day.

We have had a few boats in this week so I tried not to not go into town.Gets too busy for me just now. Have not looked to see if there is any ships in over the weeked.

morning ladies :) It's going to be a stunner here today so we've decided to put everything on hold and go to the beach. It's meant to be 26 degrees at Tauranga and who can resist that?

I've finished my butterfly, only have to wash, iron and lace onto the board I bought the other day. I'll take a pic when it has been laced and ready for framing. I'm very very happy with it :)

Flick I plan on making more facecloths from the cotton too.. They are soo nice and soft but strong too.

I just seem to be busy that I still have a list of what I want to get done lol.. So washing and changing beds today, Need to have a thin out of pills that have expired etc, they mount up when you spend time in hospital etc

Afternoon ladies, I don't know where the last few days have gone. I've had a busy week, Mah Jong Tuesday, lunch with the "bunny club" girls on Wednesday, Thursday a market, not sure what I did Friday but another market yesterday - oh yes, Friday I mowed the lawns and managed to run the mower over the electric extension lead which wasn't very clever. The bang was loud enough to wake the dead, and nearly gave me a heart attack. The circuit breaker flipped but luckily the mower and myself survived. The lead will end up a couple of metres shorter, which is a bit of a pain because it was already about a metre too short to let me mow the entire strip beside the driveway. Well now I'll be able to do a little bit less.

Markets have been very up and down, some good days and some very very quiet days. Another one on Wednesday as there is a ship in, so fingers crossed for that one.

Going to pick up my new glasses tomorrow, so will also go shopping and hopefully that will be my last visit to Kerikeri this side of Christmas, so I have to make a list this afternoon so I don't forget anything.

I finished the horse puzzle ball and didn't like it so a friend suggested I make a horn and turn it into a unicorn, which was what I did, and it sold yesterday to one of my friend/neighbours. I'll put up a pic later (luckily I took a pic before I took it to the market). Working on another cow at the moment, and I need to make some more mobious cowls as I sold the last two yesterday.

Meantime the washing machine is beeping so I had better put the washing out and put clean sheets on my bed. I hate it when I strip the bed, do the washing and then discover at bedtime that I haven't made the bed up. Going to do that now.

We had a fab day at the beach yesterday, just what the doctor ordered. No hayfever and a chilled out day. And yes, I always take and use sunblock and water and wear a big floppy hat. This chick burns like crazy and I hate sunburn.

A friend is coming shortly with his wee tractor to move some of the concrete fill I'm trying to get rid of. And he'll give me a quote to do the rest of the work. He was supposed to do this over the winter but work got busy (and I think he forgot about me lol). Never mind, at least the bigger bits of concrete I can't lift will be gone and it's a start.

I'm hoping to lace the butterfly to the board today and start desiging my next project. Although I noticed a cabinet in the end bedroom is starting to become faded with all the sun so maybe a small cloth for there first. Hmm.. embroider or crochet lol. Love having choices.

And yep Unicorns win hands down with the little girls these days.

I got all my housework done and dusted yesterday.. So have the week clear for getting this doll done before saturdays party.

Sold my Santa and Mrs Claus on FB last night and I have orders for three more sets for next year. Just as well I enjoy making them nd I have the year to get them done. I wont take anymore orders tho until I have some of them done.

Have to go do my blood this morning since we are busy tomorrow, and get some cards and another parcel in the post.

Yep up early today.. to a real Pee Souper doo, it was already down at 3am.

Doing the cemetary run today, its long over due..

Finally started putting the doll together last night... Im sewing all the little bits so once the body is stuffed I will fly through it.. Need it by Saturday lol.

Then Ill start another Santa set. I have orders for three sets before next christmas.. I love making them so it shouldnt feel like work. and they are all local so I dont have to pack them up etc.

Good Morning Ladies. It's overcast today so good day do a cleanup,once some paper out of the way When will it ever end??

Went out for Lunch yesterday and enjoyed been with them.
Today I have to settle down and make a list of what I need to do before I take off next week. A friend is calling in to help. Housework will be on top of my list. LOL

Picked my knitting for a while and this morning had to undo what I had done.
Good luck with your markets ladies. The shops down here are saying too many have short arms and deep pockets.

Whoops took the new bypass turn off and wished I hadnt lol...

We felt lost but were actually on the right road but it was all so forign, and Heaps of roadworks too..

So when we came home we popped around the west side of Hamilton and came home the way we knew. Was a nice trip tho, but I dont know that we will do it again, the way that MrP has been lately. I think he wanted to say goodbye for the last time.

Time to put my feet up and re;ax for a while..

morning ladies :) lol popeye, those roundabouts can be confusing and there have been loads of changes between Auckland and Hamilton on SH1. We go via SH27 on the rare time we go to Auckland.

Grocery shopping today and maybe some baking for Christmas this afternoon.

I've started a hardanger cloth for a cabinet that is not liking the sun streaming in onto it. Still designing my honey bee, am thinking black and gold this time seeing as it's a bee. Or I could do it with metallic threads.... oohhh just had an idea lol... now my head is 'buzzing' with ideas :P

Morning Ladies, No sunshine today here. It'sbeen raining on and off since late afternoon. Just got the lawns mowed in time.
Will see lots of changes when I head up to the Waika later in the month.

Have sorted out some clothes that fit to pack. Half of my clothes are to big for me at present.I've put some knitting aside to take with me and a book or two to read.
Glad you made it to Hamilton Popeye.
Off now to catchup on a few jobs that need to be done.

morning ladies :) Back to mowing lawns today, all this rain and warm weather has everything growing like mad. MrK has a huge cucumber already on the plant and we've picked beans. Tomatoes have fruit on them and spuds will be ready for Christmas :D. Nothing like picking your own vegies.

I've started the hardanger cloth for the cabinet in the spare room and half way through designing my honey bee. Still need some thought about the bee though, it takes me a while to work out what I want to do. But I like the idea of using more metallic threads than cotton.

Time to take an antihistamine (blimmen privet around here!) and get cracking before it rains again. MrK is making bread and butter pickle as I bought some cheap cucumbers the other day from Pak n Save.

The Dr gave me a script for Flixonase Kiwimade, I didnt know you could get them on script with a $4 surcharge and my sinuses have never been better.. might be worth investigating for you. I still take the antihistamine tho.

I do use flixanase, popeye, but have run out. Will get more when in town next. I only go into town when I have a list of things, especially this time of the year.

MrK had made me a totara and rimu box for my circular needles for Christmas. All recyled timber from old farm fenceposts and timber salvaged from different local places. It is stunning! I'll take pics when I can and post them so you can see it.

Crafting this afternoon, I need to dig out a book of embroidery stitches to refresh my memory how to do a particular stitch on this hardanger.

A Very warm start to the day..I thought I heard rain last night but there cant have been.

Ohh the box soounds good.. I have a small collection of wooden boxes.. Maybe its a taurean thing lol.

I got the Doll done and wrapped, party is tomorrow so I hope she likes it.
Have to make a couple of desserts today. A frozen lemon pudding and a pineapple cheesecake. I havent made either for ages so I will enjoy it.. and no cooking in this heat.

I will start a Santa later. I finally heard from the wool seller.. theyre not big on communicaton, so was getting a little worried.

We have a new member of the family.. We got a Male canary.. yet to be named.. but he already sings beautifully.

MIssy thinks its her baby, she went right up to the cage but knew she couldnt touch. but the Bird wasnt bothered eitgher, he went right up to her.. She cant reach him tho, I rigged up a pully system so I dont have to get up on the chair to get him down, hes far enough up that Missy cant get him but Not in the heat of the roof.

morning ladies :) Up and about early now, we have a resident thrush who starts singing around 5.30am. I don't mind, I get lots done and don't feel guilty if crafting or whatever in the afternoon.

Thank you for the kind comments about my needle box :) It's too pretty to sit in a cupboard with my crafting stuff so I'll find a place where it can be seen to put it.

We had a huge thunder and lightening storm last night. It started around 6.00pm with a heavy shower of rain and by 11.00pm was still going with thunder and lightening. Pretty impressive!

Housework today I think, it won't take long. Then I have some salvias to plant to replace some poppies that have finished. Might do that first while the day is cool. Then a bit more on this hardanger later on.

Morning everyone

We had the storm too Kiwimade.. It was impressive.. I love a good storm.

BB is whistling away, does a very good roll, so we chose right. Missy is sitting watching him.. I keep telling her that she will get a crick in her neck looking up all the time lol.

We have the Birthday BBQ today. Desserts are made and Ive done some garlic rolls too.. The weather still looks a bit dicey, so fingers crossed..

Im having a few days off the crafts, then Ill start another Santa. Im considering making 3 at once, a bit like the sewing factories, doing piece work.. Ill see tho..

I agree re the needle box Kiwimade, its far to nice to be hidden away.

Good Morning Ladies, We are in for a very hot day. It's 23c inside. Got one job off my list of to do before I head off next week.. Now have my hair cut. I have very thick hair and have to get it cut about every 4 to 6 weeks during the Summer.
Off out to lunch today with friends as it's Mr S Birthday today.

What a love neddle box Kiwimade. It's sounds like your garden had a good watering last night.
Hope hope the weather stays fine for the Birthday BBQ.

morning ladies :) A hot day for us today, heading to 26 degrees.

So much for planting the salvias, well, moving them, they had died on me. Am so annoyed I had forgotten them. Our resident thrush is talking to the neighbour's thrush, it's a true conversation, one sings, the other replies.

Just pottering about today, have one or two things to do outside before it gets too hot. MrK picked our first cucumber yesterday and the courgettes are going nuts. Will find a few baking recipes for the courgettes.

Crafting this afternoon, still planning my honey bee, will go through my threads and see what I have and what I'll need. My hardanger is pretty straight forward, am working on the edging as I hate button hole stitch lol. Get the worst bit done first.

I agree its going to be a stinker today.

Had a lovely time at the BBQ yesterday... And we cant wait for them to move into town so we can visit more often.

Izzy gave me this really smooth stone, it looks like normal milk chocolate dipped in white chocolate.. As I didnt have pockets I popped it into my bra,, as you do lol... And its going to stay there.. I know people who carry a worry stone in their pockets, Mines a heart stone.. Her Mum didnt know anything about it and was surprised when I told her about it.

Today Im going in the cave, I still hadnt put anything away from when I took the christmas gear out.. But I cannot reach my sewing machines and I need to make a bag for around the bottom of BB's cage.. Id forgotten the mess they make. And Ill get wool out to start working on Santas for next year.

Lol Kiwimade I do the same thing, the worst bits first.. Makes the rest of things much better lol.
