Afternoon ladies. It's been a very long day. Mr S starts his treatment next Wed. Has to go next Wed, Thursday and Friday. Them has 21 days to wait for the next round. Yep, not great news. He does 3/4 rounds.
No crafting today so far. Have a blanket waiting for me to blanket stitch around it. Miss my sewing machine badly needs have some work on it and the guy is away till the end of Sept. Just may try someone else. I have
Birthday and Christmas gifts to stitch.

Best Wishes to Popeye and Mr S. Hope you both having a great day.
Hope your wool arrives soon. In the meantime, I'm sure you have other projects you can doKiwinmade. Sorry to hear your dad in Hospital again.

Some people can be hard work when they come to visit gerry. Hope you get some time to yourself and do some crafting.

Time to light the fire and warm up the house. A friend and I are going to do a s,market shop after we all have out takeaways. My cupboards are low, so need to do a good shop this evening.
Enjoy your evening ladies.

evening ladies. Well, the news isn't good for dad. I am so glad we insisted they look further and they found he has a huge sack of fluid around his heart. His heart is working at 25% capacity and he is in the final stages of lung disease. Palliative care kicked in very quickly this afternoon and we're thinking Monday he will be moved to a rest home that specialises in palliative are. They have given him three months. We haven't told him yet, just that he needs more care than we can give him so he is happy to go into the rest home. We will tell him as a family before he is moved. He becomes very panicky over any little thing so I taught him a calming breathing technique I learned at yoga which worked a treat today. So this evening family has been told and are making arrangements to stay and I've been making a list of things I need to do. I may not be around for a few days as I need to get my head around this and deal with family.

Kiwimade, so sorry to hear this. I know how difficult it is to watch someone in their last stages of life, although in my situation it was a different relationship. No matter, the relationship, it is gut-wrenching. Make the most of whatever time you have together but remember to look after yourself too. Hugs xox

Good Morning ladies My heart goes out to Kiwikmade and family. Please take care and time out for your self. Yes, I have just been told that as well.
Sunny here this morning and forecast is for showers this a/noon. I am off later today to see the nurse at our Doctors to go over a couple of things covered yesterday at the hospital.
No crafting today, it can wait for tonight.
Take Care and hope you all can get some crafting done today.

Afternoon everyone

Ohh Kiwimade we will be thinking of you.. Knowing that your Dad chose you adds an extra dimension to the relationship. I felt the same with my Stepfather, he could have run a mile from Mum but he chose to have the instant family.
One day at a time, lots of memories will come up in this time. Take care.

I had to go up to change my dressing this morning. But everything was running soo smoothly that I got my bear from the daffodil stall, went to the two oppies and rthe recycle shop and then went to get milk after my dressing was done.
It was nice kowing MrP had our house lady with him, so I had a nice time.. And spent the grand sum of $2 at two oppies lol

We had a real pea souper this morning, but its now sunny.. still cool tho.

Have a fab day all

morning ladies :) Thought I would 'pop in' before I head back up to the hospital. Dad is so much perkier with the better medication and even has a clear head. For the first time in years I see him sitting straight and not in pain. So we are looking to move him early next week. My uncle arrives today (assuming Hamilton airport is open, it's a real pea souper out there) and dad is looking forward to his visit.

Thank you for your support, I know I have been a grump with dad but it has been such a frustrating few months. It didn't help that he and MrK locked horns a couple of times either.

Might take some knitting while I sit with dad.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Kiwimade you havent been a grump.. Frustration is what I felt, but at times it looked like Anger. Dealing with well beligerant parents, hospitals, drs, rest homes it all builds and if there is tension between our partners and the parent, it doesnt make for happy living.
Glad to hear Dad is responding to new drugs. Mum was convinced they were trying to kill her, and I would have to travel up to calm her down.

Pleased your Uncle is coming, and yes its pea souper here too now. It will give you a wee break.

Its chilly here with the fog. Ive not worn a cardy so much as I have this winter, since my first winter on warfarin lol.. Must be the weightloss.

Im working away on the dolls, have 3 arms, 2 scarves and the candy cane and umbrella to do. So that wont take too long.

I had a lovely time yesterday, I had to go get my dressing changed so Mrp was "baby sat" for me and i managed to pop into all the oppies, also got my daffodil day Bear, and some yummy afghans and it was a nice time out for a short time.
MrP never left the couch.

Have a fab day everyone, hopefully we will have blue sky and sun before it gets dark lol

morning ladies. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there, especially to those who have stepped up when they didn't have too. I've just realised this will be my last Fathers Day but on a positive note, will be the first for our friend's son. So special either way.

So much for knitting while sitting with dad lol... we talked non stop for three hours. It was just great. I went early so it was just dad and I and I left before my uncle and sister arrived so he had time to rest. The nurses keep asking me if I'm a nurse as I know most of the procedures they follow... nope... not a chance lol. With MrK having two heart ops you quickly learn what is what.

Hopefully I can knit today, tomorrow I think I'll stay home and get into the garden. It's my happy place and I think I need the time there.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies Happy Fathers Day to you all out there.
So glad you had some one on one time with your dad yesterday kiwimade. You will know when you want to pick up your knitting. I have carried my knitting with me to and have not got it out. One day at a time kiwimade. Will be thinking of you. Yes, my happy place is out in the gardens as well.

Mr S starts his treatment this coming Wednesday. Has three treatments and then wait 3 week before the second round.
So no knitting going on here at present. Have my project bags hanging on a door handle I can pick one up as I go out the door.

It's overcast here but not cold so will get out into the garden later if all goes well.
Popeye, Kuaku, Gerry hope you all have a great day and enjoy working on your projects.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone.
So pleased you got to have time with your Dad Kiwimade. Its very special and time you will never forget.
And yes its amazing how much medical stuff we learn.

Well my knitting came to a screaming halt last night. Turned the wrong element on to cook the tatties last night, discovered it and grabbed the pot handle to move it and of course it had been over the hot element. so burnt the inside of my right index finger. Thank god for mebo cream and the dressings I have here that keeps the air out. Will undress itwhen I get back from the supermarket and see what the damage is..
And my typing is horrid without that finger lol...

Raining here, winter is trying to hang on, although on Friday late afternoon the sun actually got into the front lounge window so thats a sign of the longer days coming.

Hope everyone has a fab day

Morning everyone
We have blue sky and white fluffy sky out one side and grey out the other lol.
My finger survived. was more like a scald than anything but the mebo certainly stops it from getting worse. Barely a mark there, but I was fast with the release and water
And I can knit, Yay.. I have 2 rows on a scarf left and an umbrella which is two small pieces. Ill be making them up tonight.

Dressing change for me today.. It smells which I hate... So I sit with a thick towel covering it. Just said to MrP that Im glad it will be gone before summer kicks in, Id cook.
I guess we are looking at 4 weeks now. Will confirm , once Ive seen the nurse. I hope its Sue.. she is the wisest one.. or Tania, she hasnt seen it for a while .
I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning ladies, well I'm not sure where the days go at the moment. I had a call on Friday to say that the lady in the woolshop had sold my cow puzzle ball and had an order for another, so I phoned her but the lady who wanted one, wanted it the following day, and I didn't have one spare. The owner of the woolshop said she would phone the lady who had bought the cow and ask her if she would part with it so the second lady could have it and the first lady could have the second cow! I didn't hear back from her but I said I would drop some more things in this morning on my way to the airport to pick up my friend. So I called in with some things but she wasn't there, I've left them with her. Meantime I have made another cow and started on another octopus. Then I will need to do another dinosaur and I want to do a horse and a rhino. Busy, busy.

It's not very tropical here this morning and I believe it's going to get worse this afternoon. I plan to do some tidying up and then sit with feet up and crochet for a while. Club tonight to play snooker.

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) I have a very busy day today. First up is organising Power of Attorney for dad (if you don't have it, get it!) so I can legally handle his money. Then groceries and a visit to spotlight to buy some fabric. Dad is being moved to his rest/nursing home and they try to encourage the three residents (yep, dad is the third one there lol, it's brand new) to wear regular clothes but dad is too unwell. So I need to sew some hospital gowns. My sister has 'borrowed' one from the hospital for me to take a pattern off so I can sew him a few. We will return it as soon as we can. So lots of teasing with dad about the fabric choices as I get to choose. I suggested love hearts and puppies on one, MrK suggested flowers and my sister, ballerinas lol. All we got was a 'hurumph! from dad lol but he loved the teasing. I have found a pattern online but they seem pretty straight forward to make so I should be able to just copy the hospital gown. Dad is being moved today, such a relief to know he is going to have high quality care. They even cook meals in his room whenever he is ready to eat. Beautiful bathroom, tv with sky, the whole works.

So not a lot of knitting, but I still get to craft with my sewing. It's my privilege to be able to do this for him.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

So pleased you are getting things sorted for your dad Kiwimade.. Lol re the fabcric choices, That would have been fun.. especially if you kept straight faces.. Sounds like a lovely place for him to be. is it Hamilton or closer for you?
MrP had a good day yesterday but today he says he doesnt feel well, but he wont be allowed to stay in bed all day like he thinks he will. Im not a nurse or Maid and he needs to be out here functioning instead of waiting for god as he says..
I finished knitting all the pieces for the snow people yesterday and have sewn up the arms and put tassles on the scarves. Will potter on those later.
I feel quite good today so Im going to hang clothes up and put smaller things away that may tempt fingers for the open home that is coming up. It will be lightyears away from perfect and tidy but thats just bad timing, nothing I can do about that. Between me and friends we will do what we can.
Its only 15 minutes veiwing cos there is two units, and we will have to cage up Missy and take her out for that time. Cos I wont risk her being let out by accident.

Looks like both sun and rain today so I will have a quick look around here then take my time with my jobs.. Dont want a good day turning into an over tired or sore one.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies. from a cold wet Napier. Glad you are able to make some gowns for your dad. I would add a small patch of fabric eg hearts, dogs etc on the gowns. I sure your dad would like them. The rest home sounds great. Is it in Matamata? Be thinking of you. Take Care of yourself.

I have just purchased a couple of bed shirts for Mr S. He starts his first round of chemo tomorrow. Three days then a break of 21 days.

Giving knit and natter a miss today as I need to finish some jobs around the place and a friend coming in later for lunch and we will craft together this afternoon.
Need to look for something easy and small in the knitting line to take with me to the hospital.
Kuaku you must be pleased about your sales at the shop. Wish you well and hope all works out for you.
You must be pleased with yourself popeye with the team starting to give you dates etc. Sounds like you healing ok.
Time for me to move the rain has stopped, still grey out there.

I have new company here on the office desk beside me this morning our black and white cat. Have had to move the keyboard and watch that she does not push the mouse on to the floor.
Happy Knitting and Crafting.

Morning ladies, it's a beautiful sunny day here, but it feels cold. I suspect it's nice outside in the sun and sheltered from the wind, but the wind is cold. At least it's not raining so that's a bonus.

I have a couple of packages to do this morning and post, so I will do them on my way to mah jong, then I have a friend coming for tea tonight, so I will spend the morning tidying up a bit more and might even get the duster out! Yesterday I spent some time sorting out all the junk on the mezzanine floor which overlooks the snooker table, because I have oodles of bags and containers of wool in the little bedroom which I need to de-clutter in time for my stepson and his family coming to stay. I have till the beginning of October so although not desperately urgent I want to get on top of it before then.

I'm making progress with my "to do" list of things I want to make, and crossed another item off it yesterday, but I doubt I will get it all done before the markets start again in October.

Have a super day everyone.

Sunflower, positive vibes for your Mr and hope chemo goes as well as can be expected. Popeye, i've been meaning to comment for agesssss, but thank you for sharing your sultana loaf recipe that has the jelly in it. Its now a firm favourite in my household, and i always try to have a few slices in the freezer for a quick bite after dinner with a coffee lol.
I have finished the blankets i was working on for the other half and daughter, so need a new project lol. Blankets for the dogs maybe??
I have added a pic of the mans one (1.3 x 1.75m approx) It was 9 balls of polar fleece/microfleece type yarn.
Hope you are all staying warm and dry wherever you are today. Napier has thunderstorms forecast so im glad im at work with the heat pump on today

Good Morning Ladies from a very wet and cold Hawkes Bay. It's Mr S first round of Chemo today so an early start today.
Taken a book and some knitting with me. Cotton yarn for dish cloths.

Kiwimade hope you are able to sew the gowns for your dad. I looked at some night shirts yesterday. Will have to visit K Market and see how much
they are there. ($45.00) each.
Hope you all can stay warm and dry today as this wet face goes across the country.

morning ladies :)

Thank goodness for a diagnosis flick! Now you all have something to work on, I think most of the worry is the not knowing. A speedy recovery for your daughter!

Popeye, dad is now in Cambridge so 20 minutes closer to us which is great. It's a win-win for all of us as Dad has always wanted to go back there.

I bought some fabric from Spotlight yesterday, good timing as they have 30% off. Trying to find something that wasn't too girly was interesting lol but I did manage to find three that would do the trick. I have copied the pattern off the hospital gown last night. I didn't have any paper big enough so used an old piece of quilting fabric I would never use. So I can return the gown today while in Hamilton (dropping uncle off to airport). I should have taken the old quilting fabric into the hospital and copied the pattern there, never even thought of that until last night. Oh well, my brain is in a kind of sludge at the moment. I have a few things to drop into dad's solicitors today as well so lots of out and about.

No knitting done last night, by the time I got home yesterday evening I was shattered. Yoga tonight might just help still all the thoughts going round and round.

Happy knitting :)

I started typing at 8-30ish this morning.

But got interupted cos MrP fell in the bedroom.. There was no way O could get him up so our house lady arrived and a friend arrived too. We got the ambulance and he should be just about there.

Its the best place for him cos he needs sorting out again. And I had no idea how I was going to get him to the drs tomorrow.

So its me and my gal for a day or two at the least.

Have a fab day everyone.. I will ring later in the day cos he wont get into a room untill nearly tea time if they are busy.

Hi All. I've been missing in action lately - haven't had much time to knit - working full time and then busy with teenage son's sport in weekends etc, plus my other hobby - genealogy - has been taking quite a bit of time. I do have a pair of baby sock on the go for the premmie unit, but nothing bigger than that. I started knitting cotton string bags for groceries etc but I kept making numerous mistakes (too distracted trying to watch tv at same time lol) so ended up undoing them about 4 times!
I have renegotiated my work hours so now get a day off a fortnight so hope to use that for some knitting (and genealogy and visiting my mum and gardening...... the list goes on).
I hope those of you with unwell partners / parents are coping okay - remember to take time out for yourself - so important.

I hope MrP is brighter today and he is going to be ok. I was told you shouldn't try to lift anyone who has fallen. Either let them get up by themselves if they can or call the ambos. You did exactly the right thing popeye.

Sunflowers, please know I am thinking of you and MrS, if there is anything I can do let me know. I live in the Waikato so if you need somewhere to go or me to go to you, FB me.

lol mimi, it's good to be busy isn't it. I recently had a DNA test done and have found quite a few of my birth family members. So exciting and I'm so pleased dad has been involved in my search too.

Today I have some track pants to drop off to dad and then I'm going to the quilt and craft fair. Can't believe I'm finally going lol, I've been too busy for the last three Creative Fibre shows and have been a tad peeved I've missed them. It will be good to have my head in a happy place for a bit today.

Yoga last evening was just what the doctor ordered, I slept like a log when I got home. I think I will practice some asanas (stretches/poses) at home to lower stress levels.

Better move, I have some photos to print off and frames to buy for Dad. He wants family pics around him, I took a photo of mum which I had framed, to hospital when he was admitted, and it followed him to the rest home. Now he wants a whole collection lol.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Just as well all us women are strong.
Mimi its rough when work cuts into your craft time eh, but I guess we need food to sustain us and power for light lol.
Sunflowers, I hope you are both doing well.. chemo can be soo dammed nasty on top of not feeling well before it.

Kiwimade so pleased the yoga helped you relax.

I ended up ringing the hospital for myself last night.. My pump isnt sucking at the level it should, and I cant get it to work properly. Rang the district nurses but they had gone for the day. So rang then hospital cos they helped last time. but I guess there wasnt anyone that knew how to do it last night.
So Ill ring the district nurses again shortly. Its still sucking, just not as much pressure. i do wonder if its done that cos its so close to healing.

Then I will find MrP.. he was still in the medical assessment part last night. they think its his blood pressure.. well thats what they said last night.

I shall do a few things on here and nip up and get a few groceries. Then I have the drs appointment later.

Have a fab day Busy ones...

Morning everyone

I had the best of days yesterday.. 24 hours without my wound vacc.. Gosh it was good. Went to the oppies, drs, chemist and all without having to carry it around, and able to hold things in both hands.

Dr confirmed my lump is scar tissue, and is perfectly ok, unless it starts hurting. Which is never has, so thats a kload off my mind. Its about the size of a golf ball.

Talked to MrP last night. He was feeling quite good. His breathing was better than it had been. They also did a scan and yes his hand is broken, I told him when he hurt it ages ago it should be xrayed. They cant do anything for it now tho.
Possibly coming home today, will find out later.

No crafting for me at the mo.. But Im ok with that.

Have to go have the pump put back on today, It has been nice to have a wee taste of how good it will be, sooon lol

I hope everyones Unwell ones are improving, and comfortable.

morning ladies :) Sounds like everything is under control with you and MrP. popeye.

We have a busy day today, the Furry One is having his six monthly check up. He's checked this often because of his epilepsy meds but this new drug Pexion he's on is awesome. So much kinder to his kidneys and wee body. But still needs checking as it's a relatively new drug in the scheme of things.

I also have a bill to query, not the actual bill itself we were expecting that, but the statement shows credits that aren't ours. I started paying the pump off the day they fixed it so we have a lot more credit than is showing. And the credit that is there is an odd amount, I round amounts up and this hasn't been rounded up. And there is also a credit going back to 2011, MrK thinks that's when we had the pump repaired last time and maybe I overpaid. Anyhoo, will go in and ask about it.

I went to the quilt and craft show and came home with a 100g hannk of kid mohair in paua colours... I have the perfect shawl pattern for that. I also bought some very expensive embroidery threads for a piece of hardanger. OMG talk about drooling over the sewing machines.... one was $12000! Could imagine MrK's face if I bought that lol.

I'm not visiting dad today, there is a fair bit I have to do at home and in town. He had a bad day yesterday so his morphine dosage has been doubled but we expected that to happen as he was on a low dosage anyway.

Happy knitting :)

Good Morning Ladies. Another wet day, just hoping for some sunshine so I can get some washing dry. Yesterday was a very long day so no knitting. Started at 5 am and I arrived home around five last night. Spend most of the day at the hospital. Mr S is in a local rest home for a week to allow me to have a break. He has only had two chemo treatments this time around. Off later today to take some things to him and clean up around the place here.

Kiwimade how did you get on with sewing up of the gowns? Hope your dad like them. Sounds like a lovely place.
Will give the place a good look around where Mr S is today.

Enjoy your w/end Popeye without the pump etc. Hope Mr P is going to be ok to come home shortly. Don't rush it, have some me time my friend and enjoy it..

Hope everyone else has been able to get some knitting, stitching, sewing done over this last week while it been hosed down. Sure rained,

Ok, this is what I see from my office window, sunshine and blue sky.
Happy Crafting Ladies and have a great day.

morning ladies :) Finally had time to sit and sew one yesterday sunflowers, omg it looks big lol. I'll see how it fits dad then sew the other two. Considering I didn't have a pattern as such I think it came up pretty well. The next one though I will make the neckline a bit smaller. I used MrK as a model lol as he is about dad's height. I think there will be a bit of trial and error.

I started knitting the kid mohair wool I bought at the craft fair last night but couldn't concentrate. I'll take it with me when visiting dad today so when he nods off I can knit.

It's a beautiful spring day here (so far), a good day to be out and about.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Well I managed to leave MrP at the hospital. He hadnt told me they wanted him to stay for some Physio, and between me leaving home and getting there he had a fall off the toilet and cut his arm.
So even tho he said no he wouldnt stay I managed to talk him around , with the aid of waterworks.. So I got home quite late.
It will be good for both of us. So he goes to the rehab section on monday. I gather he will need more clothes etc but I never thought about that until I was in bed last night.
Its great not having the vacc and the wounds are behaving. I will potter about all day getting washing done and put stuff away.

Good that you are getting a break too Sunflowers.. and I hope Kiwimade is too.
Still no craft for me but thats ok.. Im going into the cave maybe tomorrow and sort out my ribbons. I got a little stack of plastic drawers yesterday which will hold all the new ones I have brought this week.

I am using this time to get christmas presents in for MrP too... So thats very handy lol... And another wool order will be safely stored away without him even knowing lol.. Ill tell himm probably but its not that he wont mind.

Have a fab day everyone. Its chilly here but the sun is out..

Morning everyone

I had an awesome day yesterday, just pottering about putting things away that have been clogging up the space since my surgeries. Played in the cave for a while.
Unfortunatly I found out one of our dear lady friends passed away on Thursday.
I havent told MrP yet.. He was especially close to her. And I want to tell him when I see him.
Double whammy, he is having a bad day today and doesnt want to do rehab , just wants to come home. Im going to have to tell him when he can walk out of hospital and get in the car unaided, then I will consider it.. I know he cant at the mo.
HOpefully when I ring later he will be in a better frame of mind.

Have a fab day everyone..

morning ladies :) Stick to your guns popeye! He can't come home until he is better. We did that with dad and that forced them to look further.

I knitted dad a pair of slippers last evening as his feet are so swollen they don't fit slippers now. Hopefully they will do the trick. The nurses (or me and my sister) help him to the loo so he will have support when on the vinyl in the bathroom. I am thinking of cutting up a pair of those hospital socks with the sticky soles and gluing or sewing it to the slipper as an extra precaution. Might just take my sewing needles, scissors and thread with me today. And he wants another night gown so will sew that this afternoon. At least this keeps me busy, yesterday was the first day I didn't cry.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Those ospital socks with the grip on are awesome, and yes they would be good to reuse Kiwimade.
MrP was in a better mood last night.. He says, "They are moving me away from the loud man in my room Tomorrow" I said yeah to rehab.. Oh thats ok was his answer lol..
I have packed plenty of clothes for him and some sugar free fizzy. Hes never been one to drink plain water and he cant very well add thriftee to the jug of water.. He also wants his own walker now, he doesnt like the one they gave him in there.. I took it up on friday lol but he said he wouold use theres...
I have a big load of washing left to fold and then I have my house back to how I like it. A friend came yesterday and we got a few things done.
Have passed on some recycling and bits and bobs for Izzys Kindy. So my Dining table now looks like one, instead of a dumping ground lol.

Have a fab day everyon

Morning ladies, from a very grey and not very warm "winterless north", I'm beginning to think it's "springless" too.

Hectic weekend for me. I spent Saturday morning sorting through my wardrobe and have put a heap of stuff aside to take to the op shop. In the afternoon I played mah jong at the club and then came home and fed puss, and collected some curtain tracks from one of the neighbours. They've given them to me and said if they are okay, to use what I want and dump or take to the op shop what is no good. I think I will be able to use them for the bedroom which has just been decorated. They are not my favourite tracks but will do till I can afford to replace them. I was horrified at the prices quoted last week. Was going to cost me around $250. So I will make do with these. They will be better than the ones I took down.

Then I went back to the club for a meal, to celebrate my friend returning home, the birthday of another friend and farewell for her as she is leaving for Darwin next week.

Yesterday I went to Kamo (Whangarei) with the club to play in a darts/indoor bowls/pool tournament against two other clubs. Seeing as I've never played indoor bowls, only played pool once about 8 years ago and haven't played darts for about 15 years, I wondered why I bothered. I was teamed up with a chap I'd never met, and we played a total of 6 games of darts, 4 of indoor bowls, and 2 of pool and never won a single game, but it was fun. I was knackered when I got home. (I only volunteered to go as the club sent out an SOS for someone to make up the numbers and I was the only one daft enough to respond!)

So today I plan to sort the curtain tracks and put them up and hopefully rehang the curtains. Just wondering if I should have washed them, but I really don't feel like doing that, so I'm hoping they will be okay to just rehang.

Yes, popeye, sometimes we just have to get tough. Mr K was so insistent he wanted to come home from the hospital (that was the time he gave me that "hug" I asked for) but honestly he wasn't well enough, and the effort involved in getting him home and up the stairs, nearly killed him. He should have stayed in hospital longer. Sorry to hear about your friend.

Right, time to get cracking.

Have an awesome day everyone.

Good Morning Ladies from an overcast day here in The Bay. Going across to the hospital in Hasting yesterday we could see the snow on ranges. Yes after having a months rain in 2 days we got snow.
Mr S had a full body scan yeaterday so was very tired when we left him at the rest home. Two trips one to have the dye injected into him and then 3hrs later the scan.
Yes, I had my knitting needles with me, but no knitting. Off this morning to K'n'N. Knitting some clothes up at present for Christmas. If I'm up to it I will go my gym class also. Missed a couple of weeks.

Hope the strips from the socks work for you on your dad's slippers. You have had better weather than us so I hope you been making most of it out in the gardens Kiwimade. You take care.

What a great time you had with the club members in Kamo. By all accounts a great fun day. Kuaku. How that sewing/knitting list coming along? Only a few weeks and the boats will be coming in and you busy at the markets. Where has the year gone?

Sorry, to hear your loss Popeye. You sound like you are enjoying yourself and doing what you want to do. We miss our men but just sometimes it good to have a break and do what we went to do and know they are been well looked after.
Everyone else enjoys their day with some crafting.
Have a great day everyone
