| morbidflorist (yearbooks) Look at listing # 222265834 Dont forget that this is an Auction site and if you get two or more people wanting the same item you have an auction. Donaldo is a dealer and not a collector and only offers prices so that he can make a proffit in the end.(As he should). The above auction has no Photos and a very poor description and seams to plodding along ok so far.Look and learn its not all gloom and doom .Regards Paul. rebel58 - 2009-06-10 07:48:00 |

| cellotape on stamps Does anyone know if cellotape can be removed from stamps with out damaging them? I thought that there might be some sort of substance to use. I got some nice stamps on a parcel today but unfortunately they have been cellotaped on one edge. TIA stak - 2009-06-10 18:16:00 |
| re cellotape I have heard that lighter fluid can help do the job. rebel58 - 2009-06-10 18:34:00 |
| 1357 Thanks Paul, I will get some and give it a go. stak - 2009-06-10 19:38:00 |

| Patriotic Labels - For King and Empire I have a block of patriotic labels -yellow type -"For King & Empire" (15 in block). There is a nasty crease through the sheet but am awre these have sold for $15 each at recent auctions. Anyone any idea on sale price for a whole block? Seems to be so rare nobody knows. Also complicated by the flaw and fact of block - not sinply a case of multiplying no. by $15. Not sure if I will sell as I am a collector, not a dealer, but would like to know if trash or treasure. pleione - 2009-06-12 07:52:00 |
| Patriotic Labels The Cinderellas catalogue has the 1939'For King and Empire' listed as coming in different coloured sheets of 15 gummed but imperf labels. They show a soldier and plane scene.Blue is the common one, some colours are harder to get.So the price in the catalogue for sheets in pristine condition ranges from $25 to $150 depending on colour and condition. The Tasman Catalogue lists nine colour types. willy_hunt - 2009-06-12 10:55:00 |
| Help... looking for some advice please? Hi there This seems as good a place to start as any.... I have a small stamp collection that I haven't looked at in probably 30 years. It was little more than a hobby for me as a child and I probaby have no more than 300 stamps in total. I'm wondering if any of them could be worth something and if so, where do I start looking out, keeping in mind that I know nothing about them (I just used to like soaking the backing paper off them and 'licking' the hinges). Appreciate any feedback that may help. Thanks amanda12345 - 2009-06-12 13:09:00 |

| Valuation for Insurance Purposes Hi there - anybody know the best way to go about valuing a stamp collection for insurances purposes? What do they generally require? My collection is starting to get to the point where it needs to be covered - and having some mail stolen recently (about $120 worth of stamp deliveries) bought it to mind. Thanks :) pleione - 2009-06-14 14:51:00 |

| Insurance Valuations Some insurance companies will cover stamps in your contents policy (up to a maximum amount) If your stamps are of higher value than this maximum amount, you could ring your local stamp shop and ask for their hourly rate to value your stamps for insurance purposes. willy_hunt - 2009-06-14 17:29:00 |

| 1364 I think that your cinderella could be American. I have a Christmas type scene one with 'Please help spastics' which I believe to be American. I have had a look through a NZ Cinderella catalogue and couldn't see the one you described. Perhaps someone with more knowledge in this area could shed more light. stak - 2009-06-17 16:24:00 |

| 1375 stak I have seen those Postage Permit cut outs before in Red and Green. One on cover can be seen in trademe expired auction 219995666. willy_hunt - 2009-06-19 13:06:00 |
| 1375 Hey thanks Willy Hunt. I wonder what date they are? I will ask the seller if they know. stak - 2009-06-19 14:36:00 |
| Postage Permit Hi stak,I have seen Wooders show the Green 1/2d TeAro one, on a cover with contents, and he described it as 1940's. I have no idea of value of these as cut outs though. willy_hunt - 2009-06-19 15:22:00 |

| Toned Stamps That is such a shame rose36. Hopefully you can approach the seller to return it for a refund if the rust and thin were not declared. willy_hunt - 2009-06-19 18:38:00 |

| 1381 Yes often sellers descriptions can leave a lot of detail out. I think that for higher value mint stamps it's always good to show a photo of the back of the stamp. Also if in doubt ask the seller if there is any toning, thins etc. stak - 2009-06-20 10:17:00 |
| Damaged Stamps If the stamp is damaged and the seller hasn't stated that in the auction, you should ask for a refund. phil.s - 2009-06-20 12:52:00 |

| rose36 I purchased 4 stamps from the same seller and all are as described and I am 100% happy with them. In saying that they do not normally sell stamps so my advice to you is contact them and nicely tell them of you concerns and they will more than likely refund your money and if not place the appropriate feedback. rebel58 - 2009-06-20 15:16:00 |
| re 1360. Patriotic Labels - For King and Empire We are having a talk and display about these Patriotic labels at our Christchurch stamp club this coming Wednesday night. Jeff Long evidently has a large collection of them and will be revealing all at this meeting. anyone interested in comming along, the meeting is open to all at The Philatelic Centre, 67 Mandeville St, Riccarton 7.30pm Wednesday 24th June. kiwisteven - 2009-06-21 00:53:00 |
| re:1388 patriotic labels Sounds fantatsic - unfortunately wont be in CHCH. On this topic - I can't seem to find a decent stamp club in the Wairarapa or Wellington area. Most clubs don't even seem to have a web presence. I would much rather swap than handle money - but don't have much choice. pleione - 2009-06-21 15:25:00 |
| Are these worth listing? There's a bit of schmutz on the queen's face. Not sure if it's from the printing or damaged after the fact: http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/62/97027762_full.jpg echoriath - 2009-06-23 01:32:00 |

| 1391 sellers need to check the 'paynow' option [not sure what if any % is involved here] or take paypal. paypal do charge a percentage but ask your clients if they are OK with an extra 4 or 5% to cover fees. If OK send a request for payment to their email. Lets not encourage the banks. they rip us off enough. You will be advised that you have your fees but may be a few days till it is actually in your account. It does not cost to have a paypal account payments can be so quick. Please be prepared to offer this option to Aus clients. warm3 - 2009-06-23 20:01:00 |

Banks, POs or paypal. The tradeMe folk can always use the credit card section of PayNow.Ta warm3 - 2009-06-24 22:02:00 |
