Thats strange, I posted a message this morning and it didnt show up.

Well I was up early so I could get everything done before it was time to change MrP's Bottle.
Was home in plenty of time...

These are the bags I won from our Local chemist... And perfect for hospital etc.
https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/730643471.jpg

I love them. Either could work as a small Project bag if I wanted to too.

Waiting for the next lot of bottles to arrive for MrP's meds. Must take a photo, cos they look like the old glass baby bottles with the 6 sides on. The top being different tho.. Im so pleased Im able to change them for him.

Without him realising, Im getting him to move a bit. And he checked the mail this morning, which is the first time for a long while.

Might finally get some crochet done later.. Im all caught up with everything so need to get some squares done.

My First pair of socks arrived a few mins ago and they are perfect. Will let the sister in law know.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Lovely bags popeye, and they would be very useful too.

Foggy this morning but it won't be for long. So we are making the most of a cooler start to the day. We're off to the beach shortly too, it will be too hot to be hanging around home. I should be painting but it's been ages since we've been to the beach. And the painting will still be there when we get home lol.

Crafting sometime this evening. I've been watching the snowboarders and saw the Austrian break the fifth vertebrae in his neck last night. They make it look so easy and it's not until an accident happens you realise how dangerous their sport is.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone.

Its lovely to have the cooler nights and mornings. Have fun at the beach Kiwimade. We tend to take ours for granted. The one 1km down the road is having the retaining wall fixed or replaced and the water is also too polutted at the mo.
And as Much as I like the coast to see the awesome ocen waves, I dont like swimming in it now and I dont like the black sand through everything.

Lawns should be done today, they are very long.. Once thats done Ill get the sheets out.

The Nurse should be coming today to change dressings on MrPs arm, and then we will change the bottle.. And our homecare lady is this afternoon too, so a busy day.

I realised this morning I had better get my skates on to get this blanket done.. time is whizzing by. so the pile of magazines I was given the other day can wait till Im closer to the end'.

MrP is doing so well, hes getting stronger and is back to walking to the mailbox. And I dont know if he has realised, hes not shacking as much either.. Makes me wonder if all the meds he was having contributed to his weakness cos they chnaged his heart meds and hes doing fine. Yay.

I had a hypo last night so have dropped my insulin...

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, it is going to be a fabulous day today, but I suspect we are in for more rain before long looking at the weather map on tv last night, so today I will try to get all my lawns done, as tomorrow morning I'm off to Auckland to a friends 60th birthday party, coming back Sunday and Monday I have a stall at the market as there is a ship in.

I have finished a mile a minute baby blanket, I only started it a couple of weeks ago and haven't worked on it full time. I have been trying to help a friend with a knitted shawl pattern, but it just about drove us nuts, the stitch count just didn't work out right and neither of us could figure out where it was wrong. I spent ages trying, frogging and starting again, and in the end she said "stuff it, I'll find another pattern". It's for her daughter-in-law who wears shawls all the time. She has made heaps for her. Nice when someone appreciates all the effort that goes into something like that and wears it.

We must have had an awful lot of rain in this last week - the sea here is a very muddy colour as far as I can see up the harbour. At one stage on Tuesday we were cut off, the road to the south flooded and blocked by a huge slip and the road north flooded also.

Pleased to hear Mr P is making progress, popeye

Right, I'd better get my skates on if I'm going to do lawns before it gets too hot.

Happy knitting everyone.

Gawd, what a day. Decided I had better take puss to the vet. When I came home yesterday I discovered she had left me two very soft and very smelly deposits in her kitty litter. When I got up this morning there were two more but when I went downstairs, there were 3 more on the wooden tongue and groove floor - course it was all down in the grooves, and I scrubbed it with Dettol solution but I can still smell it.

She just looks a bit "off" and lethargic. So off to the vet - the Paihia one closed a while back so it's a trip to Kerikeri (I was only there yesterday). On the way a stone flicked up onto the windscreen and put 3 nice chips all in a tiny circle and just before I got to the vet another one flicked up and put a 4th chip in the windscreen. Anyway puss has had a worm tablet, a flea treatment and a dose of antibiotic paste and I have to give her the rest each day, so she will have one before I go in the morning and Sunday's will have to wait till I get home. Then she will have them regularly until finished. I discussed that with the vet and she said it's not ideal but will be okay. As soon as I put her back in the car, she did another smelly poo. Yuk.

Off to Smith and Smith and they can't repair the windscreen, so I have to take the car in on Wednesday for a new one. Thursday puss has to go to the vet again for her 'flu jab. I don't go to Kerikeri for weeks, then 4 times in a week.

I mowed 3 of my lawns and nearly melted. I think I should have an early night as I have an early start tomorrow, we are supposed to be leaving here at 9 if not before. I still have to iron my sons curtains and linings. Groan!

Have fun everyone.

Back from the beach and omg it was hot! But we loved it and pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We called into McLaren Falls to have a look and they had released the dam. The water was amazing!

I've finally got the second coat of paint on the exterior of the porch, need to touch up some of the whitework tomorrow and then that part is finished! Talk about a long winded affair but we are getting there :)

Ohh Kuaka I hope Puss will get better soon.

Its very humid this morning... Wont be doing too much.

Fell asleep on my left side which is rare for me, but Im not the only heart person I know that dont sleep on their left.. The result was a fairly good sleep but a very sore shoulder.

Dont have alot to do today so its kinda good timing. I need to nip up the road, MrP wants some nice home made bread to go with the rather yummy plum jam I made last week. Nicest set Ive had in a long time and no stones lol.

Otherwise Ill be doing squares and sitting in front of the fan.

Im going to see Napier in the Art Deko week, oneday

morning ladies :) Hope puss is doing well kuaka, poor wee thing and poor you having those messes to clean up.

The exterior of the porch is painted and the new drainpipe up so that's all done and I've put the primer paint on the interior this morning. Should be able to put the first coat of paint on after morning tea and all going to plan the top coat this evening or tomorrow. My friend is a tiler and she is going to help us lay the tiles. MrK has made an awesome coat rack and will make some brackets for the umbrellas to sit in the corner. Now all I need is for the door to have a new piece of glass fitted and to find a good boot scraper. It's been a slow process this time round but getting there.

Morning everyone

Sounds like its all coming together Kiwimade.. Maybe you would find the bootscraper at the fielddays.

Another horribly hot day.. But I dont have alot on my agenda.. Some beans to freeze, dishes to do and crochet. Then rubbish and recycling.

Im just over halfway on the horrible maroon squares, the wool is from the warehouse and was the massivly tangled ball. But it splits and has very little give. But Im getting there. Once thats done I enjoy doing it a bit more.

Charlie was a pain in the butt/stomach last night, but not so bad this morning. Just reminding me that its there and wants to be gone lol.

Hope your furry one hasnt left you any messes Kuaka. Travel safe.

Interesting idea re the bags popeye. I got given a beautiful one but when I used it for bathroom products they leaked out into the material liner. Was going to get rid of it but thought I could use it for phone chargers etc. Can't think what else to use it for so I'm open to ideas.

mndy1 - 2018-02-18 17:39:00
13215

morning ladies :) I hope the products didn't stain the bag mndy1, how disappointing. Phone chargers sound like a good idea, they are a pain in the proverbial at times. We have a spare draw we keep them in but they still tangle. And trying to convince MrK to put the rubber band back on them.. oh well lol.

That maroon yarn sounds awful to use popeye, I would have binned it. Whenever I've used yarn like that I end up with a rash on my fingers from it running through them as I knit/crochet.

I'm a tad stiff and sore this morning from all the painting but it's a good kind of stiffness. Will mow the lawn this morning before the rain kicks in and that will sort me out lol. Otherwise there is always my Yoga asanas to do. Boy do I look forward to Wednesday evenings!

Crafting this afternoon, slowly but surely picking my way through popeye's cross stitch.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone,

Oh Sunflowers I didnt know there was a winter version of the Art Deko celebrations.
Years ago I was driving some Thai ladies around, we left from Mangakino, went down to Palmerston North and then across to Napier.. In one day.. Was late afternoon and my friend said, theres something running down my leg.. It was a bar of chocolate that Id put in the glove box and forgotten about lol.. Was that hot it was liquid. I expected MrP not to be happy about it. but he cleaned it up for me when we got home the next day lol.

Bet your glad to have the painting finished Kiwimade.. Thankfully the wool isnt hurting my fingers but I wont be keeping whats left over, Ill give it to one of the oppies.

I didnt do any crochet yesterday, was just too hot for anything really.

We have decided to have stuffed sausages for tea tonight, so I said to MrP Ill do extras and freeze them. Easy to reheat and then grill.. Another simple meal for when Im on the mend.

Have a fab day everyone

13217

morning ladies :) We have 100% humidity here, even the Furry One is flaked out at my feet.

I didn't know either about the winter Art Deco version, sounds like a lot of fun.

Last night we slept with the window open and the mozzies have had a real feast on me. I'll take some antihistamines and that should do the trick.

I have a few things to do in town including taking Dad to the bank so hopefully Gita will go easy on us. I have WINZ appointment for him this week too so slowly getting him organised for the move. We've told our neighbours and one neighbour has told us about ambulance access (he's an ambo lol) so will make a few small changes to our entrance.

Better get moving, have a few things to throw in the car before the rain kicks in again.

Happy knitting :)

Morning
Have friend staying and enjoyed showing her some of Art Deco we dressed up Friday evening but too hot to bother rest of weekend.

Great to get painting done Kiwimade and sounds like Dad is getting organised for the big move guess there will be an “adjustment” time needed for all of you.
Sister & BiL home from Tonga where they were for Gita’s arrival. Both houses on their section had some damage part of roof off one and large tree onto roof of other could have been a lot worse. They had gone inland to friends concrete house for the actual storm. Told her she need t have brought Gita home with her though!

Off soon to take lunches to the school - my turn to take some sandwiches and fruit to give to any kids who may need a bit extra, then Mainly Music friend still asleep so I’ll leave her there, think she wants to recover from her busy last few days.
Getting a bit of knitting done while sitting and chatting

Good Morning from sunny Napier. Everyone please take care over next few days. We are told that with the high winds we will get power cuts.

Popeye and kiwimade we enjoy the Mid Winter Art Deco Program. We can dress up in our warm winter clothes dance in streets. to great bands
and lovely food and wine..The locals come out to play... google Midwinter Art Deco Napier there is some great photos.

At present the sun out and I have just hang out the washing in the shed at the back of the car shed. I use it to start my cuttings and seeds as it's mostly glass. It's very handy.
.
Mr S is not very bright this morning as it was very hot here during the night. Not a lot of sleep.
Good to hear Mr P is doing so well since he came home.
Thanks for sharing that great store. We could do with one here.

Off this morning to Knit and Natter and then to the gym.
Happy Crafting Everyone ...

Morning everyone,

We have a bit of wind, but so far dry.

Have tgo take MrP out to do his blood tests.. And Ill get a couple of things from NW so I can bake tomorrow.

Did the stuffed sasuages for frozen meals but thought Over night, why dont I crumb the left over potato to make crocquetes so will do that later.

Nice having a neihbour with the Ambos Kiwimade... Anything that makes it easier for them, makes it easier for you.

Will look at more pics of the Art Deco later..

Will have to check the beans later too, they are loving the warm wet weather.

Right better hustle me butt.

morning ladies :) I hope everyone is OK after Gita has done her thing. We were very lucky and had a bit of rain and wind, nothing compared to the South Island.

I must check out those pics of the Mid-Winter Art Deco, it sounds like fun and something cheerful to do when the days are a bit bleak.

You're lucky to still have beans popeye, ours stopped flowering. We think it's because of the extreme temperatures. On the bright side, MrK has never grown tomatoes like it before! We usually have enough for relish, sauce and freezer and give a few away but this season we are giving them away by the bucketful.

I have a to buy some coach bolts for MrK today and order some more epilepsy meds for the Furry One, but other than that I plan a cruisey day. Yin Yoga tonight will top it off.

Happy knitting :)

Morning Everyone Came out the other side of Gita with just some winds and very little else.
Yes kiwimade it is something to look forward to and locals are getting on board more every year.As friends from out of town said the Summer AD is just money making machine.

Just been getting Mr S ready for his day at the rest home. Boy, do I need him out from under my feet today. Need to go into town and to pick a couple of things then home to give this place a good going over while Mr S is not under foot.
I would like to prepare for my Book Art class sometime today for this Saturday as I have not been since Nov'17.
So that my craft time today.

Happy Crafting Ladies.

Morning ladies, well it's a beautiful day here today, a bit windy but at least the humidity has dropped, yesterday it was awful.

I'm out to knit and natter shortly then to Kerikeri to get a new windscreen in my car, so I will have about 3 hours to kill. Three of the op shops are within walking distance of the windscreen place so I will find somewhere to have lunch and check the op shops and also go to the sewing shop and there is an emporium opened in Keri so I will have a nosey in there and hopefully won't be much waiting after that and I can come home. I will have my knitting with me so I can find somewhere to do that if I still have to wait.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning Just Everyone

I got up earlier to bake.. Have made peanut brownies, afghans, which still need icing and walnuts, chocolate drop Pumpkin mini muffins. Cheese and bacon Muffins, 5 small bacon and egg pies, and three cream horn cases with left over pastry.
Was planning on making the 2 ingredient pastry and make mini pizzas, and some yoghurt and lemon muffins but Im out of flour. Thought there was more than there was.
So Ill knick up and get that in the morning.

We had wind and rain and that was it, and yes it was humid. Not soo bad today even tho Ive been next to the oven all morning.

Will have a muffin for my ;unch, mrP will graze im thinking. But he can have pie for tea.

Over half way on the maroon squares, Ill get some done today cos its not soo sticky humid.

Have a nice time at the oppies Kuaka.. I need to have a wander through ours again.

Well the day didn't turn out quite the way I had planned. I decided to ask a friend if she wanted to come to Kerikeri and do the op shops but she decided to follow me so we weren't stuck with no car. She wanted to get her false nails removed (she had them done for her party at the weekend and they were driving her nuts) then we went and had lunch and while we were there Smith and Smith phoned to say when they unpackaged the new windscreen it was cracked so they haven't done mine. So we checked out one op shop, picked up my car and came home. I've booked it in again for Thursday next week but I see there is a ship in and I may have a stall on the market - if so, I will have to change the appointment.

Time to put my feet up.

morning ladies :) That's a buggar about your windscreen kuaka.

We have a vet visit for the Furry One today, he loves going but hates being on the scales lol... mind you, don't we all! It's just a check up for his epilepsy meds.

I had Yoga last evening and am noticing I can now do some of the asanas without pillows or blocks. We learned a new asana which I found a tad challenging but it's something to keep me motivated. Not that I need much motivating as my back is feeling so good.

I did some of your cross stitch last evening popeye but was so zenned out from Yoga I fell asleep lol. Will do more this afternoon.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

A nice cool breeze out there this morning, had alot of rain through the night.

I enjoyed my baking session yesterday. Will do more today. but will have to strap my knee, that could be a mission lol... Its from when I tripped up the curb, and pinches when Im on it too long.

Will nip up and do a wee bit of shopping first tho.. Will go fruit and vege shopping on the weekend.

The courier will bring more bottles for MrP today, and tomorrow morning the nurse comes to change the dressings etc and thne Erin in the afternoon.

I managed to get 4 squares done yesterday which was good. 8 maroon ones to go,, Yay.

Not good re the windscreen Kuaka.. Probably broken in transit..

Hope the furry one behaves at the vets Kiwimade, yeah none of us like the scales lol.

What are Asanas,, I will google but its nice to hear something is helping.

Right a quick look on fb and them Im off..

Have a fab day

popeye333 - 2018-02-22 08:36:00
13228

asanas are the poses you do in Yoga :)

Vet visit over with, the Furry One is so good with our vet, he loves her. He's in good nick lol, his teeth couldn't be better and the vet asked if he could be used in their healthy teeth and gums advertising this year. Ever so slightly overweight but we haven't been able to walk thanks to the heat and humidity and he has been a tad spoilt with the grandkids visiting. Must have a firm word with dad when he moves in... NO sneaky feeding the dog!

The temperature dropped here and it got quite cold. Makes a change from being hot and sticky.

Time to get moving, almost finished my cuppa.

kiwimade64 - 2018-02-22 10:48:00
13229

Wow thats an honor to have your boy used for healthy teeth etc Kiwimade. Shows he has awesome parents.

Years ago when we had our first Foxy, MrP's father was staying with us. I warned him when I dished up Dinner, Not to give her chicken bones. He sat there and looked at me when he handed her a bone.

He learnt that day that I say what I mean and not to tempt fate again..

That was back in the early days, he was testing I was ok for his Son.. he told me a few years later that he was testing me and I passed lol..

I was the only one who cried at his funeral lol

Have made my knee worse by walking around this morning. So Ive frozen beans and the baking can wait until tomorrow, Ill rest the knee.

morning ladies :) Lots to get done today including a visit to WINZ with Dad as his super will change when he moves in with us. Add ons like lawn mowing won't be needed for starters. I've decided to leave the garden for the weekend to do so I have more uninterrupted time out there.

Our granddaughter is riding a horse in a national show next weekend, she just loves 'her' horse! Her other grandmother breeds horses so she really has no choice lol. So next weekend we're off to see her 'compete', will take the camera and hopefully be able to video tape her.

I'm heading to the halfway mark on your cross stitch popeye, when I get a chance I'll take a pic and post it for you.

Time to get moving. Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Yes winz like to be kept up to date Kiwimade.. if other people did the same they wouldnt have the hassles they end up with.

Ohh cant wait to see pics of your grandgirl riding.. That will be fun for you all.

Wow your flying through the cross stitch Kiwimade.. Im soo thankful, Ive loved it from the minute I saw it.

A bit more baking this morning, if I hadnt already defrosted the ham and bacon Id have flagged the idea but I decided that I would cut down food waste this year.
Also have a few peaches to bottle too.

The nurse will be here this morning to change MrPs dressings on the picc line too.

Have a fab day everyone

13232

morning ladies :) WINZ all sorted and dad much happier. I'm really glad we have this extra time before he moves in as it's giving him the time to think about things and ask questions.

It's chilly this morning, it has that Autumn feel to it like yesterday. Once I've had my coffee I've got work to do in the garden. All this rain and humidity has it going nuts and there are some plants I need to divide. The roses are on their final flush so no more deheading for me but I do need to prepare the ground where I took the old standards out. Always something to do.

Crafting this afternoon, depends how hot it is outside as I may just keep on keeping on with the weeding.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

I agree Kiwimade, the last couple have days has changed weatherwise.. Im loving it thats for sure.

Soo pleased you have things sorfted with Winz etc and your dad is happy with the changes..
Strangley the day my Dad died I knew it would be me looking after mum when she was old. Yet even back then we werent close. it would have been much nicer if she had been well nicer too lol..

Got the mini savouries made and a wickledy delightful caramello fridge slice done in the morning, and then bottled the few peaches we were given. A couple of jars is better than none and better than wasting them.

Thats my "thing" for this year.. trying to have No food waste. So far soo good.
We are off to the fruit shop today, 5 corn for $2, Bananas $1-99 and best of all Kumara for $3-99 a kilo... I cant wait to have one roasted Yum, without it costing nearly $2 for one lol. Will get a few granny smith Apples to make MrP some strudel too.

Then my cooking is done. Theres a mountain of easy meals for him when Im gone and plenty for my recovery and when I dont feel like cooking. And I probably wont be able to drive so wont be able to nip up and get things if I dont feel like cooking.

Have a fab day everyone.. Kiwimade dont forget to slip slop and slap.

I've filled both bins and have a huge pile ready to be binned when the bins are emptied. Another good day like today tomorrow and I will be done. Can't believe how much the garden has grown since I weeded last. Blimmen cyclones and humidity lol.

Good Morning Ladies. Yes, I am up early for a Sunday. Watered the gardens in the front last night so it should be easy to clean and weed this morning. .Uplifted my Spring Bulbs so they need to go back in the garden. Worked on gardens around back yesterday and did some weed spraying just make it easier for me later in the week to tidy up.
Later we will take a trip out to the beach for a late lunch.

Kiwimade you been busy as well in your gardens. Hope everything goes well for you with your dad coming out to live with you. Will he still go to Oz for his winter holiday?
Popeye good to see you are keeping busy with your baking and preparing meals for later when you have your op.

Had to ask the hard questions with the hospital last week as Mr S is spending more time in or on the bed, They put his op on his spine off and put him on the 4 month waiting list for his hip op.We hope to hear some news this week.
OK this garden not going to clean it's self, so best I finish my tea and get get out there.

morning ladies :) Phew, was only planning on weeding but I've ended up starting the 'autumn cleanup' and have pruned back plants that have finished and pulled out the finished annuals. I dug up two hosta plants and divided them, managed to gain 11 plants out of it so they are all planted around the border of the new garden. Love it when I can do that, I started off with one teeny plant five years ago. I've moved a hollyhock (fingers crossed it survives) into a more sunny position and where the Furry One won't run through it. I forgot it was planted on his 'track' through the garden. And I've moved my deep purple iris' hopefully for the last time! The ground is all prepared for the new roses this season and I've marked where the new soil is so I know where to dig in July. So now I have the hose on the plants I have moved and the birds are loving it. Just need to scrub out the birds water dish and top up their food. And the three rose cuttings I took last August from one of Dad's roses need repotting and the hyacinths I have in a pot also need repotting. Will do that tomorrow while we have yet another power cut.

How frustrating sunflowers not to be able to do what you have planned but lovely to have family visit :).

Must be lunch time, or close to it, I'm starving lol.

happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, I had a flat battery day yesterday and didn't do very much at all, well actually that's not quite true, I made a crochet hook pouch and did the first loop of another puzzle ball, and spent quite some time trying to do the elephants head for an elephant puzzle ball which I started when I was in Sydney not long after Mr K died, but I got bamboozled and put it in the naughty corner. I think I can finish it now.

But yesterday I didn't do the lawns that need doing so I must do them this morning. I did was the kitchen floor, which needed it after having friends over for dinner on Saturday evening. That was an enjoyable evening.

I spent all day at the craft market on Saturday because the Queen Elizabeth was in the harbour, and made my first sale about 20 minutes before we packed up - a whole $15, take away the $10 for the stall and it wasn't even enough profit to buy a bottle of wine. Oh well, I have some good days too.

Going to try this week to make some different things ready for the next market on Thursday. I'm not doing the op shop now on a Monday morning - I've been put on the relievers list until the end of the cruise ship season. (Won't worry me that much if I don't get a permanent spot again)

Sounds like you've been busy in your garden kiwimade - would you like a gardening holiday in the far north? You might find my place a challenge!
How frustrating to have yet another power cut. A good excuse to sit and knit.

I had better get cracking or the lawns won't get done.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning everyone

Wow Kiwimade are you keeping a record of the days or hours without. They shouldnt be able to charge you the daily fee when theyre not supplying it. It would add up by now.

Had a nice day off yesterday. Did the corn and washing and not alot else.. Did a couple of squares last night. So 5 of the maroon to go..

Will be making strudel this morning. but the house already smells good cos I got up at 6am and put bread on.

Was cooler through the night , even tho I left my fan on. But Missy was all snuggly thats for sure.

Have a fab day everyone

The bloody cheek of the power company! Just received a letter saying our power is going up as from 1st April. All the inconvenience of the last few weeks and this!

morning ladies :) You make interesting things for your stall kuaka, must be hard to find something different that others aren't selling too.

Lawns to mow today, any other February and I would be mowing every 10 days or so by now but it's like we have spring growth all over again.

I had better do some baking today lol, dad is coming tomorrow to 'check out his room' and he likes a bikkie or two with his cuppa.

Time to get the day started, happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, yes it is quite difficult finding things that the others aren't doing. Several of us do tea cosies, but they are all different, two of the ladies do aprons and bags for bags (you know the tube type tyings that hang up to put plastic bags in), of course I can do them, and used to do them when I did the market on the village green, but I won't sell them in the hall because the other two ladies who were there first do them. So it's a balancing act, don't want to tread on anyone's toes by doing what they do.

I must get at least one more lawn done this morning, and I want to do some sewing, and this afternoon I'm at mah jong - my turn to do the afternoon tea. That only involves getting the cups out, making a big pot of tea and pouring it and putting some biscuits on a plate - everyone chips in and does the dishes, so it's no biggie.

I thought we were supposed to have rain all this week, but it's not here yet, although looking at the sky there seems to be a change in the weather coming before too long so I should try to get the lawns done before I'm not able to.

Have a super day everyone.

Good morning ladies. The temp has dropped and we have had some more light showers so the ground is not so hard in gardens at present. Just came in after an hour in the gardens.
Off to Knit and Natter this morning. Sorted out what I will be knitting over the next few weeks. Need to use up my scraps so will knit a blanket using pattern I came across. 'Excavation ' with out the fringe.Yes ladies a no brainier.
Hope you have keep a record of how many hours your power been off. Dear say our will be going up as well. Hope your dad likes the bedroom. Is it the one you did up last year?

Popeye you sure been busy with baking, preparing meal etc. You are lucky to have the space for all your freezers. Hope Mr P is feeling better now back home and getting stronger as each day goes by.

Time I was off here and finish some jobs before heading out the door.
Hope you all have a Great Day.

Morning everyone,

Wow Kiwimade Id be miffed too at the power company.

Have fun baking. Mine is done now, Ive put the pans back in the oven this morning.
Taking MrP to do his blood today and will get a couple of things at the supermarket and come home.

1 Maroon square to go, Yay... and the ends of about 5 I think it is. Only two per square so not a biggie. Then I have Grey, navy and cream. The Navy especially I will do in hospitals cos they have such good lighting in there lol.

Now we sit and wait lol.. Im all prepared other than the last minute stuff to put in my hospital bag. Im ready for this. And I must say its been good having the time to be able to prepare.

Only thing I could suggest re what to have on stalls Kuaka would be to squeeze in making a few christmas stuff each month so you have a good stock for the christmas markets.. Its always such a busy time so if you got some done ahead of time. Maybe some hens or bunnies for easter if its not too late.

Have a fab day all.

phew, lawns mowed just as it started to spit rain. Our nieghbours think I'm nuts mowing so often but I hate letting it get long as the clippings can be hard to get rid of at times.

Yes, sunflowers, Dad will have the room I did up last year. It's warmer and closer to the kitchen and loo for him. Our ramp has gone in just in time too.

I'll keep an eye out for different things for you kuaka, you never know what is out there and many more pairs of eyes looking increases the chances of finding something.

Going to put the kettle on then have to go into town.

Thanks kiwimade and popeye, yes, Easter things coming up and I should concentrate on doing a few Christmas things all the time. I will put up a pic of the elephant puzzle once I've finished it - think I should be able to finish it tonight or tomorrow.

I must go and start my lawns now, we had a heavy dew this morning, so I've been waiting for them to dry out (well that's my excuse!)
