coalrange1 - 2009-11-10 19:53:00
1271

yes all niter to bake lol just had another piece yummy
my favarite colour would be very bright first, then batik tye dye fabric, then pastels

twilight23 - 2009-11-10 20:00:00
1272

Mmmmm nice colours, mine are burgundy and bush green, have lounge, dining room, kitchen - all one room - pohutukawa red colour walls and bush green sloped ceilings between the beams. Oh and my bedroom is bush green (its quite a dark green) walls and ceilings except for the little nook sewing bit which is purple.

I have just finished hand sewing the applique celtic bits that came undone on daughters christmas quilt - didnt enjoy the handsewing one bit...and i was going to hand quilt stars all over the black edge of the angel quilt, so glad i never even started it hehe lol
Will have another piece cake now too thanku, i think that this huge cake is going to last quite awhile hehe

coalrange1 - 2009-11-10 20:18:00
1273

well that went wrong thats my fav fabric colours, if i owned my own home it would be pale lemon walls throu the kitchen lounge dining, then i can hang my wall quilts up lol, bedroom i would like minty colour because i like oi have all my family fotos on the walls and more quilts. but the house i live in has natural wood timber which i like too
hand sewing is a bit of a pain aye .

twilight23 - 2009-11-10 20:54:00
1274

My fav fabric colours are the same colours, darkish - dullish all over floral or pattern....hehe i have discovered this after doing a few bright ones ...
I read in the spotlight thread that if your a pensioner with a goldcard you can get 15% off at spotlight - Twilight we should be taking our mums shopping, we could give them the money to pay hehehe
Now am going to spread out the 9 patch again, got to get it finished...

coalrange1 - 2009-11-10 21:07:00
1275

1276

is tha goldcard visa? my mum bought me a bag pattern at spotlight today!!!! nite all

twilight23 - 2009-11-10 21:41:00
1277

Morning all :)
Twilight it doesnt have money on it, its sent out to all the pensioners and entitles them to discounts at some shops, free bus fares between 9am - 3pm (or something like that) and free tea or coffee at mcdonalds etc. but amongst the shop discounts it must have spotlight for the other lady to be able to use it....but would be worth taking a pensioner shopping with u.

Got quilt sorted, sewing it together today, dont really like 1/2 finished things around hehe

Have great day all....

coalrange1 - 2009-11-11 07:53:00

coalrange1 - 2009-11-11 12:38:00
1285

gosh had you not seen her since then, thats a good idea with the ties, silly qustion do you have to cut them open or just cut a square out of the diggest part? whew 10 grandies
ah did you over her ah raggie quilt lessons lol hehe
there is 2 beautiful fat tuis in my tree

Edited by twilight23 at 1:10 pm, Wed 11 Nov

twilight23 - 2009-11-11 13:07:00
1286

I have seen her since then but we just never had time to catch up so that was nice.
Just googled ties and they open themup and cut them !!!! Cindydog told me i could just sew them together - wide end to narrow to wide so you end up square - and then you dont need a backing either and still has the posh labels on them hehe i think maybe that would be alot easier. Daughter been making a skirt out of ties and she just sewed them together.
Tuis make alot of noise aye - lovely tho, they often land in the HUGE pohutukawa we have ooooh if you go to google street views and go 2 numbers below ours and look back you can just see our house and the tree...if you look at our number you can only see the granny flat in front of us.
Ok back to sewing :)

coalrange1 - 2009-11-11 13:23:00

twilight23 - 2009-11-11 14:31:00
1292

Yes she got it, school bus stops at gate, 10 minutes drive from her sisters and she said landlords lovely he showed them the house then the school and then took them to his house for a cuppa.
So she has garage sale this sat, then moves on 23rd....whew tis happening fast but things usually do when things fall in place aye.

Strange doing this quilt all backwards to a raggie hehe keep going to put things the wrong way oooops

Google maps and streets is fun though, a few years ago girls and i went around streets in new delhi india where a friend was living, we have been around london and saw big ben, we went to disneyland and to the eiffle tower haha funniest thing is on the streets in london you can see the people in the buses looking at you and other places beside the roads will be dry then suddenly covered in snow lol

coalrange1 - 2009-11-11 14:46:00
1293
