Sorry for your loss sunflowers, Losing siblings is one of the hardest things I reckon. Ive lost a brother and my only sister. I hope your SIL meds quickly. Take care.
It has fined up here and the lawn man has been. He had two of his dogs with him.. Huge Bull Mastiffs, Lovely dogs, I asked would they bite, he said no they will bark tho. Only one barked and I told him I didnt beeive a word he was saying and he stopped lol. Thats when I realised there was two of them in the van lol..
Also had another peep at our special girl next door. her name is Mei , I asked was she May or Mae, but neither, its Mei which is nicely different. She has an echocardiogram on Monday and mine is Thursday, both next week.
Grey clouds coming back so Im glad the lawn is done and dusted, And he even weedeated the corner patch for us.

Time for a play

Well I ventured out- found MrGs golf umbrella - wasn't cold but certainly wet these new walking shoes are brilliant on the wet concrete paths - we certainly have had a lot of rain the nearby creeks are in flood - rained really hard on my way back - pulled over for a few minutes I need new glasses!
Yes Popeye often those big dogs are actually gentle giants
The aquarium is always a great hit with any visitors I take there - but I would not have joined the swimming experience either Jayemtoo
Well a cuppa awaits and last nights episode of Victoria

Afternoon ladies, well I finally slept most of the night last night, was quite emotional yesterday as I decided to sort through my wardrobe and get rid of things that I haven't worn for ages or were too big/small and then decided it was time to tackle Mr Ks wardrobe. I just have his shoes, jackets and snooker waistcoats (might just hang on to one of those as I made it and he was so proud of it) but by the time I'd finished I was a blithering mess, in bucket loads of tears.

So had a late tea and went to bed and slept till 5 this morning, then dozed off and didn't wake till getting on for 9 and I had to be at work at 10.

I suppose now I should do the rubbish ready to put out and then I'm off to the club - hoping to play in the second round of one of the snooker tournaments, seeing as my partner and I managed to win the first round last week - course that depends on the other players showing up and there was no definite arrangement.

With that in mind, I should go downstairs and do some practice.

Have a super afternoon everyone - oh yes, and I'm sick of the rain too, but it's not raining today, I heard rain on the roof when I woke but by the time I got up we had fog!

morning ladies :) I'm sorry to hear about your brother, sunflowers, and I hope your sister gets well soon.

Popeye, my grandmothers recipe book has no instructions, just ingredients. It was assumed you knew what to do and in those days, every women cooked or baked so it was a given they knew. My sister gave me Nana's book as she had no idea about the 'methods' used. Shows how things have changed over the generations.

Yesterday I finished off a few things around the house and MrK finished the repair work on a 1930's glory box my sister was given. It has come up beautifully and she should be pleased with it.

Will finish this coffee then head outside to the garden before it rains again. Then some crochet this afternoon I think.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone

Yes Kiwimade I would doubt that my friend could bake using both of these recipe books. Shes just not a baker. I enjoy the challenge.
I did some of my recipes yesterday, writers cramp after two lol just worked through it tho. Today I will section off the new book. Ive decided to just have Baking, Puddings and Lollies in that one. Cos theres still plenty of room in the main meals and preserving in the other one.

Didnt get any crochet done yesterday, just too many things to get done. I hope to get to the hook this afternoon tho.

Would love to see the glory box Kiwimade, My sister had a huge one, Covered in fabric. I used to love it when she would buy something new and that meant everything had to come out and be put in to accomodate the new item lol. I had the drawers in my devan bed. I have a carved wooden box now.

Have a fab day everyone

Afternoon
I've a couple of recipe folders that I have put all my family favourites in - some recipes have been handed down several generations now. Also have my grandmother's old recipe book (it possibly could have been her mothers
As well) it has lost its cover but obviously very well used as pages are stained also has such useful things in as soap making, tanning leather etc and how to use absolutely every part of an animal it seems!

Nowadays though I tend to just use my favourite recipes or if looking something a bit different I just check on-line. You can find a lot of the older favourites there as well as newer ones.

Just back from the factory and sister brought the little ones out when we had finished making (not a place for youngsters while actually making the stuff) they enjoyed a picnic lunch and a play around outside and feeding their left over sandwiches to the chickens.
Now have washing in and hope to get it started drying before next lot of rain comes.

morning ladies :) I need one more solid day out in the garden, have taken a spade to the edging around the concrete paths and have a bit more of that to do. The ground is sodden with rain, I even have moss growing out in the open parts of the garden. The bin man had no sooner emptied the bin and I filled it again. Usually I'm weeding throughout winter and early spring to save this big 'cleanup' but with all the rain we have had over the past eight weeks, things have gotten on top of me.

Will down this coffee and get outside, it's clouded over so heaven knows how long I will be able to work.

Crochet later today, am just over half way along the runner.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Another blowy wet day here.

Last night we gave away our mandarin tree, a family came around and dug it out fairly quickly. Hoping the lemon tree will go too. Its too big and in the way.
Have decided that the one barrel we have cut in half will be enough for this years gardens. With everything out. And came up with the idea of sitting them on tyres, to make them a good height to work in.

Still no crochet yesterday, but almost at the end of making my recipe book.
I have one that was given to my stepgrandmother on her wedding day, that has no cover and the pages are just about too dark to read. It has good stuff like how to use all of a Pukeko etc lol..

Got my wool order yesterday and totally stuffed up. Instead of using a buy now on 10 white, 10 black and 10 blue, I somehow got two lots of black lol.. not to worry tho, it is black that Im using at the mo. I only got the extra to save on delivery.. ooops.

Have a fab day everyone

lol popeye, one of my nana's recipes starts off with first you catch the pig... love it!

All the edging is done, including the concrete paths that needed the spade and I've mowed the lawn. The gardens are weeded, dahlias replanted, and roses given a good feed of fertilizer. It rained heavily twice and I had to come inside but the rain passed over pretty quickly. Tomorrow I will spray the moss on the concrete and weeds poking put from under the house and clean the outside windows. No biggie for the windows, the karcher cleaner thingy is awesome!

Lunch, then we'll watch the last episode of 'The Fall' on Netflix. Think I'll do some crochet too.

Morning
Looks like the rain has gone again for now.
My sister in Hamilton says she is having to "weed" the moss off her garden too Kiwimade. I see that the weeds have enjoyed the rain and are growing fast so hopefully I can get into the garden later today.
The children go home today.

Still using up my sock wool and will be for a bit longer too by the look of it not that I mind it keeps my hands supple.

Morning everyone
Its actually fine, still blowing out there tho.
Shopping today, stocking up on meat today, I had another shuffle around the freezers and can fit a bit in. I have alot of bread rools, Im going to share with friends. Were not eating as much bread as we used to.

Talking of moss, one place we mowed for work and then ended up living in had mossy lawn. It just flew up in the wond when you mowed it. It had simply had all the goodness taken out of it from exc essive mowing. So we let it get long and just topped it leaving the clippings on it. It looked lovely by the time we moved. When we first got it, you could only take 3 steps and the catcher was full. Ive never seen it before or since lol.

Have a fab day everyone

12762

morning ladies :) Both bins are chokka, mostly with green waste I can't put into our compost bins thanks to convolvulus, and lawn clippings. It's been almost two weeks since I last mowed so there were lots of catcher loads. The bin man doesn't come again until Tuesday and I thought of asking them to empty the bin as an 'extra' but the bill came and I see they have put the price up for that so it can wait. MrK emptied his shavings out too and as they are mostly from treated timber, couldn't be composted either. Still, it's done for now and even if the edges I did with the spade are a bit wobbly, it looks much better.

This morning before the breeze came up I sprayed the weeds I couldn't pull and did the windows inside and out. So feeling quite chuffed with myself. Might even tackle the ironing this afternoon or I may even crochet lol.

Happy knitting :)

Good afternoon ladies, I was up at sparrow fart to go to the craft market, and I must admit it was fairly busy with people (cruise ship in) but most of them had deep pockets and short arms! I sold 3 scarves. Better than nothing. I didn't do so well on the knitting I took with me to do, as I forgot to take the black to do the pukeko's head so I couldn't finish him abd I took a bootee pattern to make some bootees, but the pattern is for DK and I took 4ply! Twit.

I must get organised tonight as I'm hoping to get away fairly early to drive to Hamilton. Have a few phone calls to make tonight and I think I need an early night, so I had better get busy and cook some tea.

Hope everyone is busy crafting and enjoying the better weather.

Morning everyone
A grey day again, a nice temp tho.

Had a nice time shopping yesterday apart from Mr Grumpy raring his head a couple of times. But he actually apologised later..

Had hoped to finish the corner of the garden this morning, but Ive had enough pollen, my head is banging at the mo. I sometimes wonder if two antihystamines would be ok.

Making a carrot cake this morning. Carrots are getting a bit old so thought Id use them in a cake rather than biffing them. Its a nice microwave cake Ive made since I was about 18 lol

Hope to crochet later.

morning ladies :) I double my antihistamine dose popeye :( and sometimes even that doesn't work. Now I'm trying the nasal sprays to see if that does anything.

Housework today and I'll put some e-books onto MrK's tablet for him. Tried to do it this morning but mucked it up somehow. Seems nothing is going right for me this morning and I heard MrK grumping away at something that wasn't going his way too. Might just put the kettle on and start again.

Hope you have a more successful day today kuaka.

Happy knitting :)

Thank you Kiwimade. In futre if I know Im going to be outside for a prolonged time Ill double dose.
I use a home made nasal rinse and it does help keep my sinuses fairly good, but at this time of the year you need more eh.

Ive packed up the meat and put that in the freezer.

Made the carrot cake, cooled and iced it.. Such a shame theres icing left over, I do wonder what one does with it lol...

Time for a quick gander on here now.

morning ladies :) It's our wee grandson's first birthday today, can't believe how fast the year has gone. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago when they visited. We'll visit them next week when Maddy has her calf club day and shows her lamb. Can take the draws I bought for them too as it didn't fit in their car.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/659217818.jpg

Not sure what we will do today, I suspect if it is fine MrK will do more painting around the porch. My sister is calling in sometime this weekend to pick up her glory box. Here you go popeye, a pic. It needed a hinge repaired as the chain to stop the lid opening too far had broken so the lid had forced the hinge back too far and damaged the timber it was attached too. So a new piece of chain was added as well as the timber to screw the hinge too. Sanding down and some polyurethane and done.

What a cutie Kiwimade - looks like he has started the boy's bruises already lol.
Hope your trip is going well Kuaka.

Nice day, Off soon to help do a spring clean at the church where we have Mainly Music, fortunately it's not a big place so shouldn't take too long if enough people turn up.

Would like to potter in the garden later but will see how I feel this pm.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing

Morning everyone,
Such a neat looking Little man Kiwimade..

Ohh I do love the glorybox, a real honey colour. soo worth fixing too.

Its actually fine, Yay so we are going to go and move the bits for the bean fence up and then Ill bite my tongue while MrP trys to hammer the waritah standards in to hole it up. Yes we have someone who is going to help us do it, but MrP wants to do it himself, which will mean blue air of frustration cos he wont be able to.
Have to do his pill trays later. Then I really need to get back to my crochet. Its been sadly lacking, big time lol

Have a fab day everyone

popeye333 - 2017-10-14 09:34:00
12771

morning ladies :) We had our first BBQ dinner last night as the weather was just perfect. Today is a whole different day.

How did MrP go with the bean fence popeye? MrK is going to plant new beans this year as last years crop was unsuccessful (unusual for him too).

I have a couple of things to do in the garden, I want to prepare the ground along a garden path on both sides so I can plant white lavender and MrK found some belladonna bulbs when he was digging along the fenceline the other day so I will plant them with the other belladonna bulbs I have growing. My climbing roses need to be tied along the wire too. Just wish they would flower, lots of buds but no flowers yet. Always something to do outside :)

I'm getting closer to finishing the runner, it's long and narrow to fit the dresser. A few more days I think and I will finish the motifs. I love how the motifs are joined as you go. Then a quick blat around the edge with a simple edging and done.

Happy knitting :)

Morning Ladies , Now back home after a busy week. Went up early Thursday and came back very later last night. The service was on Friday. Over 250 plus. So pleased the weather was fine. Thanks you all for your kind words. Just been out in gardens for last couple of hours. Came in to give Mr S his b/fast and a drink for myself.

What a lovely looking Grandson, hope you all had great day. Garden plans sound great as well.
Kukau hope you are enjoying your break in Hamilton. It does one good to get away .
Sounds like everyone been busy in the Gardens,Spring Cleaning,Walking and in between crafting.
Sun out and it's getting warmer,so it's back out to the gardens.
Have a great day.

Morning everyone
He did very well Kiwimade. We shared the job of banging the standards in, he started them and I finished. And we decided the tomatoes can go in the garden out the back. And the raised garden bins can go down there too. So it wont look more messy out the front.

I was hoping to get the last bit of weeding done this morning. but its far to windy for my nose and sinus.
And I did my shoulder in last night. Pushing a drawer colsed, The same way I do it everynight, but its , I dont know if its pinched a nerve or what but shes mighty sore. So reaching out front hurts.

So other than popping up to the supermarket, folding some smaller washing and doing some dishes, Ill be crocheting.
I did oh 4 squares I think yesterday. Im aiming for 2-3 a day.

Im on a long slow tidy up mission. MrP doesnt know but all going well his Brother and SIL will be up in the new year. My sil is super fussy, so I want to make sure things arelean tidy etc.. So Im just doing little things every so often. If I was to suddenly have a massive clean up like wsahing walls etc, MrP would know something is up.

Have a fab day everyone

Evening ladies, home safely. Was a very long slow trip home today as we didn't get to bed till 3am - so I was pretty tired. I stopped in at my son's in Auckland and tried to have a nap but couldn't sleep, he made me some lunch and I continued but halfway I had to stop to stretch my legs and get some fresh air as I was feeling sleepy. Then I had to stop to spend a penny and then to get fuel, so I was rather pleased to get home safely.

Puss was pleased to see me. I think I will sleep well tonight.

morning ladies :) haha popeye, he will love the surprise!

Am glad you made it home safely, it's certainly a long drive for you and being tired too wouldn't have helped.

I have more compost to move today, hopefully the garden will love it lol. Am really pleased though with the last five or six years hard graft as it is finally beginning to look like a garden.

I should finish the runner in the next few days so I had better start thinking about my next project. Will see what I have in my stash and decide from there.

happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Glad you got home safe if a bit tired Kuaka.

Yep Kiwimade, the three of us decided in about June I think it was that they would come up this way. They normally do the South Island in summer. But are going north. So the conversations get cryptic on the phone. And last week MrP invited them up for christmas lol.. I had no way of warning them. But thankfully they used the brothers heart stuff as an excuse, as thats something that is legit.
But I rang them the next time I was up the street to make sure all was ok lol.
MrP would get very upset if they said they were coming and then didnt. So this way he doesnt know anything. A couple of my sister friends know tho, cos otherwise Id go silly trying to keep it secret, cos Im excited to be seeing them too lol
Have done 11 squares now. A good start. So Ill plod along. I have reordered some white wool, cos I plan to make a white edged one eventually.
Hopefully my sock wool will arrive this week.

Afternoon
Goodyou got home safely Kuaka.

Been out to the factory it is so lovely out in the country at the moment - all the apple trees are in blossom, fortunately I don't get hay fever. There are 3 chickens out there who are so friendly and more so this week as we had to feed them last week while the landlords family were away. As "payment" we got the eggs and there is nothing like really fresh free range eggs.

Bit of a potter in the garden and around the house then will be able to pick up the needles guilt free.

Morning everyone.

Sounds idilic Jayemtoo.. Chickens are such characters.

Nothing planned for today. May write in some more recipes and then back to the blanket. Ive done over one row now. about 15 I think.

Hopefully my wool might arrive from Turkey. Finally spoke to my SIL yesterday and she is happy to knit for wool.

BIL ended up dashing back to Waikato hospital and have his heart valve replaced. Hes doing well.
And now we are the Valve Quartet.. One pig valve, one cow valve and two mechanical ones lol..
He let it slip about coming up here after christmas, but I have onpurposley not discussed it with MrP. I know Ive come close to slipping up, but for his BIL to do it means he will get some stick about it when they are here lol

Morning ladies, I slept really well last night, and when I woke I couldn't see what the time was, the clock wasn't going neither was the bedside light. Thought we had a power cut, but no, the circuit breaker had flipped - not sure why it does that, but it did it a few weeks ago. Might have to get someone to come and check things for me.

Yesterday afternoon I mowed three of the lawns, I had planned to do the other one this morning but I think I will concentrate on housework and do the other lawn tomorrow. Mah jong this afternoon and then maybe this evening I can do some knitting.

I need to put clean sheets on the bed and I seem to have quite a bit of washing to do so I had better get on with that and get it out on the line, there's a nice breeze so it shouldn't take long to dry.

Have a super day everyone.

Mixed weather here again.. not cold tho.

Had a nearly did nothing day yesterday... which doesnt hurt now and then lol.
Still waiting on my sock wool... but its only two weeks today.

Ohh dear Have you ladies heard of the Wish website. Its another one like Aliexpress but cheaper still and free things too, just pay the shipping. The wool all looks thin tho. But they do have some free.
In a group Im in on FB there is a big duscussion about it so I thought Id have a quick look... Two hours later I got off lol. 13 pairs of socks and three small parts for christmas presents and only $16 for the goods and $10 for postage. And they come from different places so I may get three different parcels.

Hope everyone is safe and well

Have a fab day ladies

Morning ladies, no popeye, I haven't heard of that website, and maybe I will wish I hadn't but I will go and have a look.

Very grey and calm today, not particularly warm.

Knit and natter this morning, then a general tidy up, did 4 loads of washing yesterday and got it all dried, and ironed what needed ironing so that was good. Still have a lawn which needs mowing. Might do that after knit and natter.

The "d" on my laptop seems to be on it's way out, I have to bash it harder than usual or it doesn't work. What a pain!

No other plans for today. See what happens.

Have a super day everyone.

I cannot get over the price of yarn in NZ. Why is it cheaper to buy overseas even with the shipping? I often wonder if the local retailers buy from the same place we do. Even on trademe me the prices are super high.

Lots of other goodies to look at tho.

I've been on that site popeye, haven't bought anything though. It does make me wonder how they do it so cheaply.

Tomorrow we have our granddaughter's calf club day and we are bringing her back to stay the weekend with us. We'll take the set of draws I bought down with us as well so that will finally be given a home. Must buy some batteries for the camera.

I have finished the runner, will block it and take a pic before putting on the dressing table. It is very yellow lol.

Morning everyone,
A bright clear morning, the temp must have dropped tho cos the windows are slightly misty.
I went up to the supermarket early. As in was there when they opened. They have pams butter for $3-95 today only. And since our usual supplier has put his prices up, I wanted to grab what I could.Best buy was a 4.1 kilo roll of Ham. Down from $58.oo to $20.48. So I grabbed that quick. Will divide it up later. Good for ham steaks and sandwiches salads etc.

I have to go up for my echocardiograph later, so will crochet when I get off here. And Ill take it with me too.
Cant wait to see the runner Kiwimade. im sure it will finish off the room nicely.

Morning Ladies. Very cool again today here. Busy with appointments at the hospital yesterday and just as we had finished and on the way to the car it the rain hit us. Boy the temp dropped. Now a waiting for results. Last heard he down for op around late Nov early Dec.Tried pushing a wheelchair around that hospital.

Came home to mowed lawns which look great. Our man called in last night to see if I was happy with them. Lowered mower this time around.Come back over the w/end and do some garden for us.

Popeye that was a good buy for butter. It's $5. plus here. Saw it at $7 something the other day. Give some of family that are farming a call and see what the factory cost is and place an order with them..Ham good buy as well.Is it a local store you get these good buys?
Hope you both enjoy calf day with your granddaughter and the weekend Kiwimade.

Got some knitting done on Tuesday at K'n;'N and hope to pick it up later today. In the meantime I'm off to my gym class shortly.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Yes it was a good price for the butter Sunflowers.. I had been getting it a small fruit/grocery shop here for $4 a block for the last hmm 6 weeks. But they put it up this week.
The ham was from New World too, it was funny cos i wasnt going to look in this particular fridge but my old Geography teacher picked one end of it up, and obviously decided it was too much just for him. So I grabbed it.

Save just on $16 using my clubcard too, so it was a good trip. I forgot cheese, cos I worked my list backwards from the butter chiller first. But I have to stop at countdown so can get some there.

popeye333 - 2017-10-19 12:26:00

Butter at our local Four Square was $8.50 a few weeks ago. I've just been to Kerikeri and got some at New World $3.99. They also had some cheap in a fancy gold wrapper but it's only 400gm not 500gm. Bit of a swizz.

It's a fabulous day here, the temp has certainly warmed up. I'm going to do a wee bit of gardening before I run right out of puff.

morning ladies :) I saw butter for $6.25 at our New World the other day so didn't buy it. And yep kuaka, that butter wrapped in the gold wrapping is a real rip. You have to be careful when buying anything these days, I check sizes as well as prices and do the math.

We're off to our granddaughter's calf club day today and then bringing her home for the weekend. I have no doubt we will both be knackered by the time she goes home lol.

The runner has been blocked and is on the dressing table. I'll take a pic this morning when the lighting is better and post it when I can. Am really pleased with it.

Happy knitting :)

Morning
I’m sure you will have fun Kiwimade. It’s lovely having the little ones to visit especially knowing you can hand them back to Mum later.

Very quiet here as a holiday so no school kids going past. Think Hawkes Bay has been clever putting their provincial holiday onto labour weekend so we get 4 days.
Not that it makes much difference to me - we hope to go “exploring” at some stage but that will depend on the weather but today will be factory for a while then probably garden.

Walked a lot yesterday then aquarobics in evening so feel a little stiff but that will wear off quickly once I get going.

Enjoy your day everyone

Morning everyone
Yes you do have to be careful with the butter now. I work it out to what its worth per hundred grams.
Was a long day yesterday, and quite warm too.. I am rather sore from the echo, she was fairly new to the job so was making sure she got good pictures.
Went to our fave fruit shop and got 3 bunches asparagus, 4 oranges, bag of mandarins, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, red pickling onions, bunch of bananas all for $20-26... Such a great place to get it all and all excellent quality.
Did get almost one square done waiting for my appoinment.

Even nodded off while watching tv, which is unusual for me.

Have fun with Maddy moo Kiwimade.

Have a fab day all

Morning everyone
Wet and windy here again.. typical for Labour weekend lol. Not cold tho which is nice.
I have a few things I want to get done over the weekend.. Got some purple pickling onions on thursday, MrP has always wanted to try them pickled. And I need to resort all my baking tins, they have taken over the hot water cupboard. And the table in the craft room needs clearing off too.
But Im in no rush to do anything, just when I feel like it.
went out early yesterday and did the oppies before I went to do my bloods and B12. Finally managed to get a copy of Alison Holsts Dollars and sence book, a small spoon which has spouts on both sides and A REAL rubber scrapper. So I was meant to go looking.
I hate the silicon scrapers. So I even looked online and found the company that makes them. Why I havent done that before I dont know lol..

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Wet and windy again, the grass is a mile high lol with lots of daisies.
I ended up with another crate of wool. but Im stocked for the edgings on blankets so thats good.
Today we will do the onions, and Im hoping MrP will consider painting the frame Ive asked to be painted many months ago. Then if it doesnt look like how I want I have time to think of something else for my friends christmas present.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, a very grey looking day here, I didn't listen to the forecast so I don't know what is in store, but looking at the sky I would say we have rain later, in which case I should go and mow the front lawn, it's about a foot high, because the last three times I've mowed the lawns, I have run out of puff before doing it. So it's really a disgrace.

After that, I think I'll have a lazy day and just potter about indoors - or knit.

Hope everyone has a super day and stay safe on the roads if you're travelling.

Good Morning Ladies. Overcast and no wind here in Napier. Good weather to work in the gardens and catch up on other outdoor jobs.

Mr S is off to have an x ray on his left hip and upper leg on Tuesday. Yes he had a fall about 3 weeks. All the doctor did was have a look apply for an ACC number in case there could be problems later on down the line.(his words)..So everything very quilt just now on home front.
Going to do a swap for some plants today. A lady sells veggie and flowers from her home is in need of garden pots and trays so washed a heap last night.Ground is clean and ready.
Hope you get your frame painted Popeye.
Lovely photo of your granddaughter with her pet. She keep you on your toes during her stay. Enjoy it! Kiwimade
May get some sewing done or knitting done later in the day.

Everyone enjoy your weekend and if you out and about on the roads Take Care.

morning ladies :) Well our granddaughter went home yesterday, she was homesick so we decided it was better she went home. We haven't had her stay for a while so I suppose this was bound to happen. Calf Club Day was fun, her lamb won a ribbon for participation and the weather really turned it on for the day.

I was going to mow the lawn today but thanks to the rain, I can't do that so housework it is I guess. Our grandy is like a whirlwind lol so the house could do with a good once over.

Here's a couple of pics of the runner I finished the other day.

Morning everyone
Ohh Kiwimade your runner is beautiful... Awesome job.

You saying about Maddy being like a whirlwind. When we have MrPs borther and SIL stay when they leave we come inside and flop into our chairs lol... Its not that they are physically making us tired but my SIL is hard work at times. Love her to bits tho lol.

Raining solidly here, I had hoped to get some beans in today but that aint going to happen. I discovered yesterday that I have 3 new stems on the raspberries and a fresh one on an old stem that got missed.. So Yay it might only take 2 years to gather enough berries to make Jam, instead of three lol.
Have done 2 rows worth of squares now. So slowly plodding along.

I will write a few recipes out today. I need to type up a few biscuit recipes from the dollars and sense book I got last week. They use minimal butter for a high yeild of biscuits. Perfect for the bakers in the Frugal Kitchen group I am in on fb.

Have a fab day everyone. Stay safe on the roads.
