Morning all - nothing in the trap this morning so here's hoping - but am considering - well I have been thinking about it for a while - this big three bedroom two bathroom house is too big for me - the kids have said to get whoever around to do whatever needs doing and I know Robie is very generous with his time - but really I have no attachment to this place we only had a very short time here when MrP was well - might give an agent a call I think
Popeye MrG put one of those plastic cuphook things on the side of my craft desk and I hang my cables over that - they stay straight
My DIL started yoga classes for her office staff - voluntary - some were very reluctant but the numbers have increased steadily -
Grey old day out there - out to Winz with a lawyers letter - one of my young nephews who is a lawyer looked at the legislation - they tell me once that claim was lodged it can't be retracted - well have news for them !
Sounds good for next cruise season Kuaka - keep you busy over the winter

Cleaner comes today so better get cracking

gerry - I was told not to make any decisions like selling the house for at least a year. It's over a year for me now and I feel no closer to selling up than I did initially. I did get an agent round to give me an appraisal a couple of months back, but was disappointed with the price she suggested the house was worth, and thought "well if that's all I can get for it, I'll stay put" apart from which I am still decluttering and getting it tidied up. And there's a lot of projects which Mr K started but never finished which I will need to get someone to complete (Paul maybe???) (or my son) and the lounge, staircase and all three bedrooms need decorating, most of which I can do myself when I feel like it (not the staircase though I'm thinking - well not the ceiling of the staircase anyway - it's quite high with 22 steps from downstairs to upstairs). Anyway, everyone is different and you will know when the time is right.

Morning everyone from a wild windy wet Waiuku. Glad I dont have to go out in it today.. not cold tho.

Mum didnt make any big changes for a few years after both my fathers died. But I think for myself I would probably do things quite quickly. But until it happens I guess you never know.

Thanks for the idea Gerry, I could simply hang the needles over a door nob on the drawers in the craft room. That way Madam Missy cant take off with them..

I saw a link for crocheting trianges yesterday to make into bunting, so Im going to write the instructions out this morning. I have several choices of christmas yarn I can use. Done in trebles so that is easy enough.

The rain is hitting the ranch slider, Im soo pleased I didn't wash it the other day. Would have been an utter waste.

Have fun at school Kiwimade. Like having lots of grandies that you send back home everyday.

Have a fab day all

Morning
Day seems to be clearing up, hung most of the washing in the garage but it is now semi-sunny with a gently breeze so have put it on the line. Don't think it will fully dry but will be better than in the garage.

Keep absolutely everything you get from WINZ Gerry. Speaking to my sister last evening who is also having WINZ hassles she has had to request all information from WINZ using the official information act. It was sent to her but what a surprise the most Important 2 letters which supports her claims but are not what WINZ are now saying are missing!

Onto the first sleeve of the yellow jersey its growing quite nicely considering I haven't been doing much on it during the day lately.

morning ladies :) I now deal with WINZ online using the myMSD account. You can go through the superannuation website to register and you can request all letters are sent there. I haven't had any mail there yet but when I do, I plan to save them on my laptop somehow. Even if I have to copy and paste. You can also see what payments are coming up and other information.

I finished the hoodie for our grandson last night, will take a photo before I leave for school today when it gets a little lighter. So I can post them both off this afternoon on my way home.

happy knitting :)

Morning all - supposed to be rain but I see patchy blue sky so that's good - all quiet on the rat trap front so maybe the initial poison did the trick but will leave the trap in the garage for a week just to be sure
Had another good talk to my kids - they would support me if I decide to move but like you Kuaka they think I should give myself time - we brought them up to be caring kids so I guess I should just stop worrying about being so useless on the home handyman front
Well Winz was interesting to say the least - the $60 fraudulent claim is no more - but only after I produced the info from my lawyer nephew - she thought I had been less than forthcoming about the prescription - still didn't seem to get that I had no idea what the drug even was - I was there over an hour so when she finally conceded that she was wrong I asked her to have a quick think about the cost to the taxpayer for her time since September over this $60 claim which I told her in September to forget - blimmin ridiculous - yes I have registered online kiwimade - its brilliant
Dolly is out on the table again - baby is home so I will have to finish the doll so I can go for my first visit

Morning ladies,it's blowing quite hard here (not quite a gale) and overcast, there is a little blue sky but the clouds look very "wet". I will be surprised if we don't get rain this morning.

I couldn't sleep last night after dozing in the chair in the evening, so at 2.30 this morning I took half a sleeping pill and didn't wake till 8am. Have to be up earlier tomorrow as I'm picking a friend up and taking her to the airport at 8.15. She won't be very impressed if she misses her plane.

Might do some ironing later, and I have some sewing to do (repairs for the op shop - did some yesterday, but didn't do all of it).

Oops - courier has just delivered a parcel of yarn which I bought on here yesterday. So much for me saying I wasn't going to buy any more. I'm a lost cause I think.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning everyone
Wild wet and windy here this morning. Not cold, but probably is outside.

I wrote out the triangle pattern leaving one bit out of course. But I did make a triangle. And Im pleased with it. Now I need to get something to block them on. So Im going to go round the three oppys this morning and see if I can find any floor jigsaw pieces or old yoga mats.

Lol Kuaka re the wool. I still have about 5 lots to arrive from the lotto, and Id been given that huge amount just before, so I dont have the need to buy at the mo.. Damm lol

Right I better get moving if I want to do the extra shops.

Have a fab day everyone

morning ladies :) Back in the classroom today, am pretty tired but that's OK. The days whizz by pretty quickly. Have a mixed 'bag' of kids in 'my' class lol.

I've posted the hoodies off so will start knitting my scarf/shawl with the lovely wool I bought from Love Knitting. At the moment though it will have to wait until I'm not quite so busy.

Happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, well I was determined that I wouldn't sleep in this morning and be late taking my friend to the airport, so I went to bed early last night. Went out like a light and woke at midnight, then again at 2.30, 3.45 and 4.55 and was awake when the alarm went off at 6.

I will wait at the airport with her until she boards her plane to Auckland because there is nothing much to see or do at our little local airport, then I will go shopping. I want a couple of things at the Warehouse then I will go into Kerikeri and get some groceries at New World and check out the op shops.

I had better not waste too much time on here - I would hate to be late after being up so early.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning
Have a great day in the classroom Kiwimade.
Isn't that the way Kuaka when you know you have to wake early you keep waking up all night!

Beautiful looking day so am planning an outside day as garden looking sort of neglected again, but have to go to Hastings at some stage. Then perhaps can fit in a bit of knitting in between activities.

Enjoy your day

Morning all - beautiful blue sky day - should be nice at the dog park
Making great progress with my blanket - but dolly still sits neglected
Had a really nice email from Love Knitting -they have sent my new order track and trace with no lollipops -just might have held the parcel up in customs
I tasted yesterday pickled feijoa Popeye - they had just used your recipe and they were lovely with cheese and crackers -
Can imagine kiwimade some of the kids in your class keep you on your toes
must be satisfying being back teaching -my sister is a lecturer out at the EIT she teaches a lot of young mums computer and office work - absolutely loves her job
Well can't waste this lovely day better get cracking

Morning everyone
Wet wild and windy again today. But the blue sky is coming

Have fun at school Kiwimade. stay safe on the roads Kuaka.
So pleased Love knitting is sorting things out for you Gerry.. Did you mean Pickled Onions?

A day at home today, I have the green waste people coming today to bring us a bin. I didnt know our Zero Waste company did greenwaste bins, they are a fraction cheaper than out of town, but you can have it picked up as often as you need it.
And our House lady coming later. I hope the weather improves cos she rides a motorscooter, and its bad wind out there.

I got a yoga mat yesterday for $2, for blocking on. its nice and thick too. Didnt realise how long they were. Im going to cut a piece off the end to use on smaller things.
I also re-read the pattern for the tgriangle banner flags Im tuting with and the second attempt is much better. I feel comfortable enough to now use the nice sparkly yarn I have to make some for christmas.

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies.the sun out and it's warm after a very cold wet afternoon yesterday. In early today as some of us had a breakfast meeting to attend.
Will spend this morning outside in the sun with my reading groups. Some of the kids are now taking their books home to read which is great. Before their bookbag would sit there in the classroom from one session to the next..

Did some sewing yesterday on the St John's Toilet Bags before heading off to Hastings for my hospital appointment.Yes, the rain waited for me . Hooked up to a trace machine for 30 mins waiting for the results. Fingers crossed it's my last appointment
Hopefully I will get some knitting done over the weekend. Dive into my UFO's that sitting in the basket.

Good news about your wool parcel Gerry. Fingers crossed it all gets here this time.
Enjoy your day ladies as I hear the weather is on the turn again for the the w/end.
Cheers for now.

Popeye they were whole feijoa pickled in vinegar and honey - must say they were a lovely use of the ladies mountain of feijoa she had this year
Just went to the Post Office to return the cotton Love Knitting sent in error - the postage was $52.90 - thank goodness I had the money - they will credit me for the cotton and the postage when they get it back - bit scary but to track and trace it was over $70 - so my credit card is looking a bit sick - as I had to reorder and my card won't get credited for up to 3 weeks -and if the parcel goes astray going back I will be $162 down the drain!

Huntlygirl, it's not very big, probably about 20 seats, has two props! I have been on a smaller one when I flew from Wellington to Blenheim, I felt like flapping my arms to help it.

morning ladies :) Great to read Love Knitting have come to the party with your order Gerry. It may have been the lollipop but mine went through with one in the order. And customs would have been in touch if there was anything 'dodgy'. The main thing is, it's sorted.

Housework today, the house needs to be sparkly as our international students arrive this afternoon.

haha yes sunflowers, I'm certainly kept on my toes with this class. And that's great news some of your students are taking their books home, they must be feeling confident with reading. Some kids are scared of making mistakes so just leave the books behind rather than read to mum or other adults 'wrong'. I tell them to read to the dog! The dog or cat won't care if you stumble a bit over the words and it takes some pressure off them.

Better get cracking, I'll knit after housework is done.

Happy knitting :)

Morning
Definitely a wintry feel today.
Had a good day yesterday - delivered my charity knitting to 2 medical centres and they were very well received. Poked around shops but didn't find anything I was interested in.
Chopped the top off half the feijoa - might get the rest done today but no rush to finish it, just don't want it to get too big.
Then finished the yellow jersey and knitted a baby beanie out of the left over wool. Think I will just knit little things out of my left over wool and start restocking my bins then decide what next to do, have several ideas but will need to buy wool specifically for them

Enjoy your day and keep warm

Morning everyone,
Another blustery day but not cold by any means.

Had a good day yesterday, got an order for a rainbow blanket, which I really loved doing, so have made a great start on that. Just over a quarter of the way. but only 100 chain so Ill only take a few days. And another lady wants the rainbow blanket I already have made.

Was going to bake today but I woke and could barely move. It eased but I dont think it would be wise to stand for a couple of hours on top of it. So Ill go through the recipes Ive chosen and measure everything out into containers. And then mix and bake tomorrow. I Power Bake, like people Power Nap. I get as much as I can done in the shortest possible time.

HAve fun with the students Kiwimade, Im sure there will be lots of laughter.

Im sure all your knitting is greatfully received Jayemtoo. MrP wont let me, well he wouldnt be happy if I did charity knitting. he made a car load of wooden toys for Banardos and never got a thank you, and when we were making the blankets we didnt get one from Plunket, so hes anti giving at the mo.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning ladies, well it's far from tropical here at the moment. Had hoped to go out to the boat, but the wind is turning every which way, not strong, but enough to be a nuisance, so I have flagged that idea.

Woke with a stinking headache, which is now easing thanks to some painkillers.

No plans for today other than mah jong at the club this afternoon. I suppose I should do my ironing, it's been looking at me long enough. At least it would warm me up. I hate winter!

Just started making a "gallatin scarf" - it's quite interesting. See how it turns out, if I don't like it, then I will list it.

Not sure what the forecast is, but it's looking as though it will rain before long.

Supposed to be going out to one of the local restaurants tonight to celebrate a neighbours birthday. Will have to check if we are meeting at the restaurant or at the neighbours. I always enjoy eating out, no cooking and no dishes. My sort of evening out.

I know what you mean popeye about the charity knitting. I still do some, but not as much as I used to.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning all - very chilly and grey - son from Outram just sent a photo of the snow falling in his backyard - looked lovely falling on al the trees with their beautiful autumn colours
Going to have a lazy day today - my nephews were coming today to have a chop and tidy up around my garden to hopefully stop the rats but going to leave it until tomorrow - forecast is better - I have nasturtiums under the trees which they tell me have to go - sad about that but lthey will come up again - but would make lovely rats nests

I have just given a lot of wool to ladies who knit slippers for school kids - but I won't give anything like that to the op shop - I did previously and it was given to one of the ladies sisters -
Yes for sure it's going to be a lazy day am really in the mood for it - just told the dog to go back to bed

Good Morning Ladies, very cool morning here, just had another shower. Not sure what going to happen today,I need to do a shop, catch up on some housework. Have a heap of small amounts of yarn that I put aside,so will have a look at the couple of toy pattern books that came home with me from the library yesterday.

Now you get a laugh from this Kiwimade . The kids will read to anyone at home little/big brothers and sisters, mum and dad, pets or anyone else in the house. They sometimes draw a picture of who they read too . The person who signs off their reading will say who they are. Have some laughs at times
Sometimes no reading gets done. They come in with their book, pick up a toy and go off and read to the toy. When it's their turn they tell me all about the story, answer questions and tell me why they didn't do their reading .

O'dear that must of been a very small plane Kuaku. We did a day trip from Nadi to Suva in the 1980's the sides of the plane was canvas and the windows were covered in canvas you rolled it up. Just as well it did not rain at the time. .

Have a great day.

having a good giggle at your kids sunflowers, kids can be so honest can't they.

Our students have arrived and they are lovely. One has family in Auckland who is coming to visit tomorrow afternoon. They haven't seen each other for five years.

Dishes to do (MrK cooked) and I give the students their first night here off from dish duty. Then some knitting :)

Morning
Cold but clear day - looks good.
Popeye I select who I give stuff to now as I had the same reaction from Plunket so now give to a couple of medical centres in low socio-economic areas who don't seem to get much given to them and are genuinely grateful. I don't really do it for the thanks but it does give a boost to know they are appreciated.

Made a couple of jars of pickled feijoa yesterday to see how they turn out.thanks for the idea Gerry. Had quite a few small ones so used them i guess I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see what they are like. Am also experimenting with guava jelly as have a lot of yellow guavas.

Saw another rat at the factory yesterday, think they come in from the rain as no sign of them being around otherwise but put down some more poison, the other lot took a few weeks to disappear. Saw online that there is an expected rat to nfestation this year due to the warm weather ugh!

Enjoy your students Kiwimade.

Morning ladies, cold here but looks like it will be a stunning day. I've lit the fire, the heat pump just didn't seem to be heating the place up enough. I hope I will have enough firewood to last the winter, it's not the cost of getting another load, but the thought of wheel barrowing it all from the top of the drive to the fenceline where I stack it, and then carrying it all up the steps as I need it.

I managed to go wrong on my Gallatin scarf so I've frogged it and going to start again, but will use a different colour wool, 'cos I decided I didn't like the colour I was using. I'd only done a few rows, so not too upset about it.

I went out last night with the neighbours, and we had a very good evening, lovely meal, and then back to their place and came home about 11. I seem to have managed to lose my lipstick case, it was just a little flip-top case which held two lipsticks and had a wee mirror in it. It was so useful. I can't complain, I bought it at the op shop when I lived in Russell, cost me 50c and I've had it over 10 years, but I've never seen another like it and it was so useful. Grrrr!

Time for a shower and then I can get dressed, maybe then I'll warm up.

Going to try to make my friend a "doggie dak". I cut the pattern yesterday, bought the velcro I needed on Friday and I have some fabric, so now there's no excuse not to.

Have a super day everyone.

A beautiful day here too.. its not massivly cold outside, but the wind has dropped thank goodness.
Have fun with the students kiwimade, Im guessing travelling today sinces its fine?

Ive been up the road for a few things I wanted to stock up on while cheap. MrP has fruit juice on his weetbix and they have the one he likes half price. So we are stocked up now. But I really shouldnt try and carry in bags full of drinks, ouchies on the sternum.. oops. but Ill work thorugh it.

Will bake soon. Everything is set up, so its just a matter of turning the oven on and baking.

Have a fab day all.

Morning - beautiful inside looking out but I am guessing it is very chilly out there in that wind
Jayemtoo we had the feijoa she with crackers and cheese - my mum says they reminded her of pickled walnuts - yes I am going to be very vigilant with the rats seeing on the news last week it's going to be a year for a huge number of rats I will keep one step ahead of them- we seem to be in tune this morning I too only give to the really genuine groups - the organised op shops leave a lot to be desired in sone cases - friends and family are often the benefactors instead of the goods being sold
Just as well Popeye you gave me the tip about the thread around the neck of dolly when stuffing otherwise I would have had a sausage! Having to reknit her bloomers have cast off too tight -
Somebody might hand your lipstick case in Kuaka - you never know
Just might get out for a brief walk in the park - had a shower round midnight last night and dog started doing his happy dance - the day must have been so long for him he thought it was morning and we were off to the park

I'm going to phone the taxi company to see if it's been found, it had two lipsticks in it, one that I liked was almost finished, the other was almost new but I didn't really like the colour. It's just the case I found so handy. Never mind, if it's gone, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Ohh thats great news Kuaka.. I dont remember the last time I wore lipstick or any make up.. ossibly when I used to go out with the girls 12 years ago..

Well I have had an interesting baking session. I went up the road and got vanilla cos I needed it. And then discovered that the sultanas didnt smeel good. So that whiped out two bicuits I was making. So I ended up making the eggless, butterless and milkless chocolate cake. Its very dark, If I make it again Ill be cutting the cocoa back. And made the ginger crunch and sante biscuits and pumpkin choc chip mini Muffins. And ended up doing afghans but need to go get walnuts, Cos the moon will turn to cheese if I dont have walnuts on top... I havent tried the muffins as yet, but I imagine they taste the same, even tho I did miss putting the butter in OOPS lol.. but I used it in some scones for lunch instead.

Now some time for my back to recover and then Ill crochet

I have started reading this thread and I have just had a look at the deramores website as am a very keen knitter. I have mainly purchased my wool from spotlight over the last few years. Most of my knitting i do is for babies- has anyone purchased any of the baby merino 4 ply wool through deramores and if so have you got any recommendations please?

Candy floss, I have bought from Deramore's but not any merino. If you want lovely baby merino, you can't go past the wool company in taihape. Go to www.thewoolcompany.co.nz - it is lovely and is machine washable. It comes in several colours and their service is excellent. I've used the 2 ply and 4 ply and never been disappointed.

afternoon ladies :) Candyfloss, I haven't bought any of that 4 ply but there must be someone here who has. Just watch the postage as it is no longer free with Deramores. Love Knitting has similar products with free postage. In saying all this, Deramores will have your order to you in a week, Love Knitting takes two weeks (although Gerry might have issue with this lol).

Yep, we travelled today Popeye, went to the beach, climbed over the rocks and went for a paddle. A quick look around the mall and home in time for our student's nana and aunt to visit. They bought us a lovely bottle of wine as a thank you, no need to really as why wouldn't we want our student to catch up with family.

They have all gone into town for a bit so I have time to knit while MrK prepares dinner.

Kuaka- I have just looked at the wool company - have checked them out before but thought their prices were expensive but now realise that they are for 100 gms balls not 50gms so seem quite reasonable .

Morning
Brrrr it's cold, have put in the washing but will wait a while before hanging out or my fingers might freeze off!
What a big bake Popeye - so yummy. I had a kitchen day yesterday too but not baking, made large pot of soup, chicken casserole enough for 6 meals into the freezer and guava jelly. The jelly has come out much better than I expected, it's quite tart but I prefer it like that so will try it again I think.

Candyfloss I get baby wool from Skeinz as they are handy to me here but they are on line too and have good bargains at times.

Off to help BiL this am then might continue to attack the feijoa and the rest of rhe garden needs a bit of a tidy up as well.

Gerry, those pickled feijoas sound devine, may I have the recipe please? And guava jelly, yummmm! I didn't know we could grow guavas here.

We're off to the Otorohanga Kiwi House sometime today to introduce the students to a real kiwi. They will also be feeding calves (from town supply cows who calves all year round), collecting chook eggs and looking at a mmilking shed too. We might even get to hand feed some of the nieghbours house mob of sheep bread. Last night they did the dishes for me, I suspect the aunt and nana who visited may have had a word lol.

So much for knitting, I'll have to unpick a bit of what I knitted last night, too tired I guess and not paying attention.

Better move, the Furry One has decided it was time to wake the students up and I hear laughing.

Happy knitting. :)

Edited to add, candyfloss, Deramores have changed how they sell to NZ, they moved their online shop back to the UK and now also charge postage.

Morning ladies, well the "winterless north" is not living up to it's name. Cold as charity here, but lovely clear blue sky and sunny, so I guess it will warm up. Sadly my house doesn't get that sun through winter, so I have the fire going. If I ever move, a sunny house (with a view) will be a must - probably have to win lotto to be able to afford what I want.

Yesterday I had an easy day as I had a bit of a sore throat, but it seems to be okay this morning, so that's a relief.

Better get myself organised as I am at the op shop this morning.

Have a super day everyone.

I think they are called Chilean guavas Kiwimade, they are not like the big yellow with pink middles ones you get in the Pacific but small. There are red and yellow ones, I have the yellow sort and never quite know what to do with them as they are rather "seedy". My sister in Hamilton has a bush so they seem to grow anywhere.

Morning all - lovely day - washings out and must not forget the rubbish bin
Kiwimade the fejoia lady had just done them in vinegar and honey like Popeyes onion recipe - I thought it was a brilliant use of her huge crop - had tasted her relish before made with them as well
Kuaka our last house in Taupo was like yours - we had huge uninterrupted views of the lake and mountain but no winter sun - the frost would stay on the ground all day - but the view was worth it
Better get that rubbish bag out -

Morning everyone,
A beautiful day here,, and a doozy frost. I put the heater on in the loiunge while we did our insulins etc so it took the chill off before we came out. I have relented and have a singlet on.
I thoroughly enjoyed my baking yesterday.

Im still sore this morning, but its my sternum from trying to carry 13 litres of assorted drinks inside by myself.. Sill woman, you would think I would learn.
We had guavas growing in Thames when I was a kid, I love them and Jelly. Something else I dont see often are Loquats. At one of the houses I did lawns at had a huge tree, Its amazing how many you can eat while doing the lawn. An older woman owned it and she said to take what we wanted, cos she couldnt keep up with them.

Sounds like a fun day Kiwimade.

As much as I need to prune the ferns out the front I wont be able to hold the hedgetrimmer today. Which is annoying cos it would be perfect, no wind to blow the trimmings around.
So Ill sit and crochet this morning.

And I will treat myself to an afghan and a piece of ginger crunch later.... Lol found out why MrP stopped eating it over the years. I was making it stronger and stronger and he doesnt like ginger as much as I do... oops. but he said this morning that he tasted a bit of the topping that had gathered where I cut it and it wasnt so hot.. So now I have to share again hahaha.

Have a fab day everyone

Morning everyone.

Must have been a busy day for all, no posts since yesterday.

Another doozy frost this morning. But it will be the last, theres a grey tinge to the clouds now.

Only got a little bit done on the blanket yesterday, but today will see more done. It was soo nice having the stash to be able to just start straight away.
I hope everyone is well

HAve a fab day

Morning all - beautiful blue sky day here
Have just woken up - tossed and turned until about 4
Facetimed with my 10 year old granddaughter yesterday evening who is representing Central school at a leaders conference in Rotorua - she is a bit overwhelmed - she thinks there are 1000 children there but it's probably only 100 !
Not sure what I might do today dolly maybe
Love knitting have sent the replacement for the first messed up order track and trace so that has been interesting - took 2 days to get from their despatch to NZ - NZ post uplifted it from customs 3 days ago and it is still in Auckland - maybe they wait until they have a whole truckload heading this way !

Morning ladies, gosh gerry, I have never had any problems with my orders from loveknitting, they have usually arrived in about 7 days, 5 days I think was the record. The way you've been mucked around would be enough to put you off ordering again.

Overcast here but not quite as cold as yesterday. I haven't lit the fire this morning but the heat pump is on.

Plan to do some sewing this morning, the "Doggie Daks" I made is just a bit long, so I will make another one a bit shorter and then shorten the one I've already made. My friend was quite pleased with what I had done though so that's good.

Mah jong this afternoon, and my friend who helps me run it has just phoned to say she can't make it today, so I'll have to get there a bit earlier than usual so I can collect the money etc.

So I suppose I had better get cracking with this sewing or I won't have time to do it before I have to go out, and I want to give it to her tomorrow when I see her at knit and natter.

Have a super day everyone.

Good morning all - just wondering now with deramores not having a NZ online service and charging postage whether any of you ladies have still ordered from them from the UK . If so how long did it take to get here and do you think it was worth doing. I have found some merino baby wool on their site that is so cheap and has great feedback - although seems to be out of stock at the moment. Thanks for your help

I have had several orders from Love Knitting with absolutely brilliant quick delivery - one of my disasters was certainly in their dispatch but was then compounded by them sending out cotton as a replacement - which has to get back to them before they will send the correct yarn back - but the first drama was definitely in delivery as it turned up two months later - but as I see on track and trace my parcel still at nz post Auckland - makes you wonder they have had it 4 days to sort to come to Napier -
I think Love Knitting is certainly well priced and just love the organza bags
