I know she will be cute and its probably OK that the head and body are one piece -its just different will block the bits today and get myself cracking - my brother is coming for lunch so better get the dog park over and done with

Ohh she is pretty Gerry.
I assume the top of her head is open. I find them easy to do when in one piece. I just use a double piece of matching wool to thread around the neck, pulling in nicely.

Ohh Kuaka horrible when you think your soo close, then find more to do.

My first parcel from the Yarn lotto arrived today. So pretty varigated Hero yarn in baby blue, baby pink and white...

My leg isnt as bad as I expected it to be after doing the shopping, but time to rest it now

thank you for the birthday wishes, I had a great day at school today. And I picked up more relieving so am going to be even busier. I have a pile of planning to do for my Friday class so will start that tomorrow.

That wee doll is a cutie Gerry, a little girl will love her.

Good you enjoy driving jayemtoo lol, the things we do for family :)

That burger doesn't sound too appetising kuaka, I like lots of vegies in mine.

The second sock is almost done, I should finish the ribbing tonight or tomorrow. I may even be able to squeak out another pair from the yarn, I don't care if I have two pair similar. And my tension is improving with practice.

Morning ladies, another lovely day but nippy again. Didn't go for my walk this morning, neighbour sent a message at 6.30 to say she was giving it a miss till Monday. Might see if the other neighbour is going this evening as I haven't been for a couple of days. Monday morning doesn't suit me as I have to be at the op shop at 10.

Had a visit yesterday from a friend who wants me to alter some "doggie daks" she bought and possibly make some more. Her old dog has become incontinent so she is using them to hold pads otherwise he just piddles everywhere. I get all the good jobs! I said I would give it a try and hopefully have them done in time to meet her at the Friday session of knit and natter.

Here's a pic of the blanket which I finished last night. The colours don't look very true to life in the pic, but I'm reasonably pleased with it. could have been a bit bigger but seeing as this is a "love job" I don't think s-i-l will complain.

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/588324459.jpg

So I had better have some breakfast then start doing "doggie daks".

Have a super day everyone.

morning ladies :) Happy birthday popeye (pretty sure yours is after mine!) and what a lovely gift from whiskey.

hehehe doggy daks, kuaka. I know our boy would hate wearing those if he had too. But we do what we have to do for our pets. I like the owl blanket, the owls every second square is just right.

I have some planning work to do for school over the next couple of days, I need to get it out of the way so I will be prepared. Then I will know what resources I'll need to find.

Another 4cm and the ribbing on the sock is finished. Whew!

happy knitting :)

Morning all - chilly wind but beautiful sunny day - just put the washing out reminded me of Bathurst - the cold wind used to whip down from the blue mountains
Happy birthday Popeye - that is a very yummy looking birthday present
Sewing job sounds different Kuaka - the owl blanket is very trendy - maybe an idea for the market -
Kiwimade you are going to relish being back in the classroom
The second half of my two orders that were short have still not arrived - niggling away in my mind is the after dark deliveries to the letterbox -
Today I REALLY am going to block dollies body parts and get cracking -

Morning everyone and thank you for the birthday wishes.

A friend from Taranaki rang at 7-10am lol I was in a dead sleep lol.. Talked for two hours cos its been a while lol.

Sorry Whiskey I got the number wrong oops lol.

Love the blanket Kuaka, hard when you dont like the colours etc eh.. The oddest sewing jobs Ive done was making a kite for fishing and a G-string I adapted from a pair of baby togs. It had a cowboy on the front and I made it for my BIL for his wedding days. His brothers pinched him and made him put them on, over his pants tho lol.

Soo hard when your wanting thw wool you ordered.. I know what your feeling Gerry.

Have fun with your planning Kiwimade, Im sure you will have fun.

I have everything ready to make a pot of soup today, but of course havent even got to that yet lol.. MrP wont be having any for lunch that will be sure lol

Have a fab day everyone

Good Morning Ladies. As Gerry said a chilly start today. The doll looks lovely. One very lucky girl.

Happy Birthday Kiwimade for the other day. Great to hear you are getting back into the swing of teaching.Enjoy while you can.
Happy Birthday Popeye. Enjoy your self. Look forward to seeing your wool from the Wool Lotto.
Like your sewing job. The owl blanket looks great, hope they like it. I prefer walking in the morning as well. Out at 7.15 this morning.
It was knit and natter this morning and I stayed home. Not happy with how my knitting going at present. To many other things going on here at present.
with Mr M not well and me not sleeping.
Life can be a bugger sometimes
Time to make a move and put the soup on that I started off last night in the slow cooker.
Have a great day everyone.

Thank you Sunflowers.
My lovely house lady arrived this morning in time to help me do the veges for my soup. Only the second person who was able to work with me in the kitchen without bumping into each other. I used to hate being in the kitchen with mum, she was always in my way lol.
Erin brought me an awesome present, spoilt me rotten will put a pic up soon.

All the things I love.. Red,, Wool, choccies and an adorable tray which I should have taken a pic of too

https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/588439188.jpg
Feeling very spoilt and is lovely getting so many greetings.. Never had that happen before.

The soup smells wonderful, I wish I liked the taste lol...

Sunflowers sometimes even tho we dont feel like going out, it usually does us good, and you enjoy doing it. I know when both my parents were dying I craved "Normal" MrP was and is my Normal, so I dont know what will happen if he goes before me. Which is more likely.

I understand that Prince Phillip is finally retiring. I think at nearly 96 he has done his fair share. I hope he enjoys his retirement. And doesnt just fade away.

Time for a play on here now

thanks for the birthday wishes sunflowers :)

I'm pleased for Prince Phillip too, he's certainly paid his dues.

My Love Knitting order arrived this afternoon. I thought I had missed the post as I saw her van further down the road earlier today. Looks like she had two runs today.

The Yak wool is just divine, it's fingering weight and I have the perfect scarf pattern to knit it up into. I bought the 'violet' not a colour I would normally buy. And the 'Gleem Lace' is soooo yummy, I have a shawl pattern for that. And now I have the yarn to knit our granddaughter's hoodie with the diggers around the bottom. So now I want to knit lol but I have lessons to prepare. Can't hurt to at least wind the hanks into balls, can it?

Happy Birthday Popeye ????.
The owls look good Kuaka.
Having coffee waiting for the noise to start, Their Dad is picking them up from crèche and after school care. Mr 5 was adamant he wanted to go instead of me picking him up as it is baking day on a Friday.

Had a lovely day in the city, dropped off mr5 at school and caught bus. Walked along waterfront to TePapa and saw the Gallipoli exhibition- it was wonderful- and even better as free, I had expected to pay for such an impressive exhibition so that was a pleasant surprise.
Watched firemen doing a combat competition whereby they climbed a 6 story tower in full 25kg outfit carrying an 18kg hose, then other strenuous activities ending in dragging an 80kg dummy backwards for 30 mtrs, the dummy was bigger than some of the girls doing it.
A beautiful sunny day although coltish breeze.
Met up with a niece for lunch and had a long chat, and little bit around the shops.

Better get thinking hat on now re dinner.

Of course it cant hurt to wind the yarn Kiwimade.. A little pleasure will make the work pass better.

Ohh Jayemtoo, id have loved to have seen the Gallipoli exhibition. Glad you enjoyed it.
Many years ago (1998) I was lucky enough to be in Wellington for the CWI Conference and Princess Dianas Dresses were on display. Friends shouted me the ticket to get in to see them. Very overwhealming, I cried and took quite a while to pull myself together. She was sooo slim. The dresses were stunning.. Will never forget that day.

I have had an awesome day today.. sooo many good wishes and even caught up with another girl that went to school with our group. Which was fun.

To top things off, Someone Broke the water on our street. So that meant it was very easy to go get some yummy fish and chips for tea, rather than cooking.

Have an awesome weekend everyone

Well I thought I had the rest of my order - courier has left a parcel on my front step - no knocking - if the dog hadn't reacted - tail wagging I might add - would not have known it was there - but it's not mine - belongs to people 10 doors down - just called them to see if they had mine - no luck !

morning ladies :) You have a 'guard' dog like me Gerry, mind you I know he will defend me if needed. I hope your order arrives soon, maybe it has disappeared when delivered at night? I wonder if it is worth a toll call to Love Knitting although you would have to work out the time zones.

I love the bags Love Knitting use to put the wool into. I can find many uses for those and a great way to keep the wool clean.

Definitely garden this morning and then lesson planning this afternoon. I MUST get that done as my relieving days are booking up and I won't have time during the week.

Happy knitting :)

Morning ladies, no plans for this morning but this afternoon I'm playing Mah Jong at the club. Might see if any of the neighbours are going for a walk this morning as it looks to be a lovely day. If not I have ironing I could do, the leaves need sweeping off the deck, I could vacuum, and I'm sure I could find some dusting to do, but then there's knitting and I could start another owl blanket. No shortage of things to do. Weeds in the garden, lawns etc.

Yesterday I made soup in the crockpot and it's quite yummy even if I do say so myself, so that's lunch taken care of for the next couple of days. Might even have it for tea tonight with a bread roll or croissant.

I must check out the wool you've bought kiwimade, the yak sounds lovely.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning all - another beautiful day - going to watch grandsons rugby this morning - will enjoy that and then to the dog park - then maybe dolly
Kiwimade - I rang LoveKnitting about my first order which has now been missing a month - the yarn was for mums Mother's Day hat - they said track and trace would be another $1.50 which I wish I had done on this second lot now overdue - I am contacting NZ Post on Monday - it's ridiculous delivering parcels at night - mine came to the door because it was too big for the letter box but it was for number 13 not number 3 - the people at number 13 tell me NZ post are delivering KFC so maybe that's why they are not coming round at night - feel sorry for Love Knitting they are getting let down - the crochet hook is in the lot that is missing from the second order which is frustrating as I could get started
Coffee machine is beeping

Monring everyone,
I hope all the orders get sorted out soon.

Yes Kiwimade I too love the bags they use. Very pretty and sensible too.

Im expecting the posty today. Hopefully with lots of squishy parcels.

Need to pop out later, but will wait till the posty has been.

We didnt get our water back till after we went to bed.. we have decided to get a large container to store water in, just for the toilet. We always have plenty of drinking water.

Not a cloud in the sky today. But no wind so the windows can finally be open for a decent amount of time.

Have a fab day everyone

Goodmorning ladies,A good nip in air this morning, just finished hanging out the washing. The guys started again at 7.30 am. in our street. This is the second week. Be glad to see the cable laid, have another week to go. Off shorty to the farmer's market need to get some food waxed fabric wrappers.
Not sure what else I'll do today. Filled the green garden bin yesterday before I put it out. and could easy do the same today.
. Looking for a pear and apple tree to plant. Is $ 35.00 about the going price?. Had a look at a couple places.

Glad to hear you had a great day for your Birthday. I also did a big pot of soup yesterday. Going to put some in the freezer.

The owl blanket looks great. Liked the colours Kuaku. Hope you get your walk in today.

I had to look up Love Knitting to what the Yuk wool was. Mixed with Merino should be very warm to wear. Good luck with your lesson plans Kiwimade. I know what you mean.
As a T/A we still had to do some planning. I've been asked to take a reading program at a local school. Two mornings a week. The school about 15 mins walk away . Mr S is ok about it,just need to see my Dr next week. We all know each other as it was my last school. There for 4 years and been called back a number of times.
Time to move now. Mr S is up and just about ready to go with me.
Have a great everyone.

time for a cuppa, omg the ground is cold this morning and my fingers are numb even with gardening gloves on. But I have the worst of it weeded and it doesn't take long to do now. It has taken a few years to get on top of the weeds but now I'm seeing the results.

Must be something in the air for soup, MrK is making chicken soup for lunch using the left over chicken from my birthday dinner.

It will be good for you sunflowers to get back into reading with the kids. A good TA is like gold and I treasured mine.

I have cast on for Maddie's hoodie and wow that Paintbox yarn is so bright! Perfect for kids I think. So my needles are sitting there on the coffee table and I have about half an hour or so of weeding to do first. So I'll down this cuppa then finish the garden. Knit for a bit over lunch time and then knuckle down to plan.

I read online somewhere where NZ Post is trialing KFC deliveries somewhere, seems an odd combination but I suppose with mail deliveries down they have to do something.

Is it Fluro colours Kiwimade?

I got home to 6 parcels of squishyness... All pretty colours . And was sent a 200 grm Cake of wool acrylic mix from Lincraft and its a beautiful colourway. Ill put a pic up when Ive finished putting them up in the lotto group.
A friend is coming around today cos shes works and only has a day and a half weekend.

Morning
I'm in Palmerston North at the moment. Came up from Wellington yesterday and we are off to a cat show today hopefully to sell litter. Haven't been to one before so should be interesting.
It's sister's birthday so we went out for a lovely meal last night and I'm warming up some croissants for breakfast when they wake up..

Soup sounds delicious must make some when get home, I eat lots over the winter, although usually mine are good thick "stoups" ( stew soups!).

Must have been great getting 6 surprise parcels Popeye, hope yours arrive soon Gerry how frustrating for you.
Happy lesson planning Kiwimade.
Can hear movement from other room so will go get them coffee.
Have a good day Everyone.

morning ladies :) The orange I think is fluro, popeye, well it's bright enough lol but the rest are just lovely bright colours. I was naughty and knitted rather than planned so this morning I'll get cracking. It shouldn't take long once I get started. I did weed the garden though, with students arriving soon I like things to be tickety-boo. It's just about time management I think.

I've never been to a cat show either , hope you get lots of orders jayemtoo.

Better get organized, corned beef is in the crockpot but dishes and washing need doing before I plant myself in front of this laptop.

Happy knitting :)

Morning everyone
Cloudy today so perhaps not the best day for the ducks.

Ive never been to a cat show either lol... Id want to cuddle them all so guess it wouldnt be worth going lol...

Have MrP's hair to cut this morning, a little overdue. And I need to crochet, but I hear my colouring boooks calling, they have been waiting for me to get my new glasses...
Have decided to wait to put all the wool away, once it has all arrived. I still havent put the huge bagfull that was brought up from taranaki for me either. There will be very close if not more than 6 kilos to put away, ohh yes more actually cos I forgot the 300 grams from my house lady on Friday. She gave me a ball which is not bright orange, not a peach, not a strong pink but sort of a dark orangy salmon colour. Its very pretty, but very hard to describe.

Right a quick play before the hair appointment.

Have a fab day everyone

Good morning - very chilly but beautiful day
Well what a muddle we all have got ourselves in - not sure who made the initial mistake thinking today was Mother's Day - hopefully not the son who owns the supermarket he should have known - my brother has pork on the spit - my sister and I have veggies ready to do for 20 people and we have just been told by my 99 year old mum we are all losing our marbles as it is next week - oh well she said she will enjoy the roast today but next week she wouldn't mind KFC as that really is her favourite treat !
Speaking of hair cuts Popeye I need one - Mr G used to cut my hair in a very fashionable bob style - will have to pay for a cut soon as it is getting to The unruly stage
Grandson had a fantastic game of rugby and as he came off he came over and said he wished his grandad was there - I did too - they absolutely thrashed the other team so Corban decided to kick the goals with his left foot instead of his right to even it up a bit - he is a good kid for sure
Well better get cracking this great pile of veggies is needing to be dealt with

Morning ladies, well I had a rather lazy day yesterday. Went for the usual walk with one of the neighbours but before we got back another of the neighbours phoned and asked if we wanted to go somewhere for a cuppa, so she picked up us and we went to a cafe on the waterfront (actually it's on a jetty over the water) and had a cuppa and a cup cake and then she gave us a lift home.

Then I just fluffed around before having lunch and going to the club to play mah jong. Had soup for tea and promptly fell asleep in the chair. Woke up and went to bed. Slept all night and woke this morning with a stinking headache, but painkillers have dealt with that.

It's a fabulous looking morning. I'd like to go out to the boat, but the tide is dead low. Hoping it will still be suitable when the tide is halfway in. I might mow the lawns while I'm waiting for the tide.

Don't think I've ever been to a cat show either. My Dad used to breed budgies so I've been to a few bird shows, but as a kid so I really don't remember much about them.

Breakfast is overdue so I had better have some before I fade away.

Have a super day everyone.

Afternoon Ladies, cold start to the day was up and out loading up pine cones for the fire. Late collecting them. Had coffee and muffin on our we back into town. Can back with two trailer loads.
Had a look around for the fruit trees yesterday, was told to early, due in about 6/8 weeks. time.

A couple of the kids up the street called in yesterday as we arrived home to see if I was going to help them with their reading. They had heard I was coming back to their school. They want me to will walk with them to school on the days I go in.
Also if I will come along next Friday morning as they are baking and serving morning tea for Mother's Day.Yes, I will be there. They have some great little cooks and who enjoy their cooking .

Enjoy the cat show and hope you make plenty of sales. Me too not been to one either.
Popeye with all this wool, arriving you will be will set up for winter. You have such a lovely place to going walking Kuaka and sounds like great ones to walk with.
You keen to get the weeding done Kiwimade. with it so cold in the mornings. All the best with your planning and good luck with the class. Will you have the same class every week or does it change weekly?

Off to dye some blanket pieces I cut up last night to make lovie dolls.

Have a fab afternoon everyone.

done! Well 90% of the planning is anyway. I can't really do much more until the lessons have been taught. I have the same class every week as well as relieving.

Was it you sunflowers asking if $35 was a reasonable price for a fruit tree? I think they are priced around that - I know the roses I ordered were $30 each. And I think we paid around that for the fig tree from memory.

I'm having a giggle at the early Mothers Day roast... sounds like something I would do lol.

It's getting chilly here so might put the heat pump back on. I squeezed in a bit of knitting over lunch time so might do a bit more.

Sunflowers What are lovey dolls?

Despite my hobbling, although it is improving, Ive Potted up the soup for the freezer. 9 large serves for MrP for less than $10.
Done a heap of dishes, cut Mrp's hair.

I went to pick a couple of lemons and discovered the Mandarin tree is Loaded, and they are changing colour.. Yummm.
Then discovered there were a few blacberries to pick. So got those , about a cup full, and ended up weeding under the passionfruit and raspberries.

And noticed that the violets are starting to flower. So picked a few, and have them sitting without water in the top drawer of the little plastic set of drawers. Its open about 1/2 an inch. So I can smell them and Missy cant get them. They were my sisters fave flower along with Jasmine.

So a productive day which is nice.

Also had a giggle at the Family dinner, but Im with the 99 year old Mum.. KFC is goood lol

Have fun at school tomorrow Kiwimade

Popeye Depends where you are from and where you are looking for the pattern. If you google any of the following spellings you see what they are. Lovie Blankets, Lovie Security Blankets,Lovely Blankets. Most refer to them as ' lovey dolls' if you are making them.
They can be made from fabric or yarn. Added an animal head or doll's head either in the middle or corner.
Police,St John's, Hospital etc have them on hand to give out to children small or big.
New born babies are given them as well. and are called comfort blankets.
Hope everyone had a great day!
I'm off to have a cuppa and good read.

Morning
I enjoy travelling around a bit bit oh it is so good getting back to my own bed.
Had to smile Gerry at the Mother's Day mix up but I too was sure it was supposed to be yesterday!

The cat show was interesting, lots of cats sleeping in cages, I know cats like sleeping but not sure how they get them to sleep all day except for the bit of time they are taken out for judging. There were some huge cats saw one judge trying to lift one out of a cage and it was quite an effort.
We had quite a bit of interest in our stall which was good.
I also got some knitting done as a bonus, had a nice chat with one woman about knitting and she also went away happily with some litter so a double benefit.
Another lovely day weather-wise so must get going and get organised.

Morning ladies, yes I too thought that yesterday should have been Mother's Day, but because Monday was 1st May, Mother's Day seems to be "late". It's always the second Sunday of May (different in the UK - mum was always amused that she had two mother's days). I had to smile at Mike Hosking on Seven Sharp the other day rabbitting on about a documentary which he said was a must watch and would be shown on the first Monday of May (which was the day prior to him mentioning it).

Quite a productive day yesterday, mowed one of the lawns and then rowed out to the boat. Got down to the beach and flipped the dinghy over then realised I'd forgotten the "painter" which is the rope that ties onto the bow of the dinghy so I can tie it onto the boat. Had to go and borrow a piece from one of the houses. I've now put a piece of rope in the boot of the car so I will always have one with me. I was very grateful though and returned it when I got back. I managed to start the motor and ran it to charge the batteries - it started second attempt but would have started first time if I'd remembered to warm the "glow plugs". I called myself a dopey old tart for forgetting.

I've started another owl blanket and have done 9 ordinary squares already. I'm doing them just one colour for the first four rounds and then doing all the squares with the same colour on the fifth round. I am going to try to do all the owls the same colour. Not sure if I will have enough of the grey I've chosen but if not, the owls will be two different colour combinations.

Lovely morning now that the fog has cleared. Had planned to go for a walk this morning but I piked when I saw the thick fog. By the time it had cleared it was too late to go as I have to be at the op shop at 10.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Ive decided to bale on my blanket order. I just cannot get enthused about doing two more. I havent crochet since Thursday.. I hope the lady is ok with it. A huge missed sale but it feels like work and Im not enjoying it.

Have to go get our prescriptions tis morning and then Im going to finally get stuff into these under the bed storage crates I got a few weeks back.. Feeling more motivated in house stuff now that the heat has gone..

Morning all -well the pork was lovely but she will make sure we don't all forget that we messed up - especially Robie as he is in a retail business - but we have been left with no doubt at all it's KFC next weekend and if she makes 100 in August it will be KFC that day as well - she is a tiny wee lady with normally very healthy food choices - goodness only knows why KFC is such a hit
Had a little smile when I read about your boat excursion Kuaka - one day in Taupo Mr G rowed out to our launch and brought it into the jetty for us all to get onboard - he threw the rope to my son who grabbed it not taking much notice - old boy jumped off to help get everything on the boat - he had bought new rope and forgotten to fix it to the boat - of course it was my sons fault that the boat drifted out without anybody noticing except the crowds looking on laughing - happy days
No parcel again this morning - but was thinking last night have time to knit mum some socks

It was suggested at the weekend that I should take orders to sell for my knitting too Popeye but I am most definite that I won't do that as knitting is my hobby which I enjoy. Taking orders for sale would just add pressure so I knit for family, friends and charity.
Have an "order" for a yellow jersey from 5yr old boy, so that can be my next project.

Oh I meant to say Sunflowers I know the lovey blankets you mean. Have seen some lovely ones done on FB.

Had to postpone getting our meds, one wont arrive till tomorrow.

The lady with the blankets still wants the two I have done. But I do feel like a great weight has been taken off my shoulders.

Whoever made my order up at Love Knitting must have been having a bad day - the second half just arrived - says on the label the hook is enclosed - but it isn't and there is no way it could have dropped out - also two colours are missing but there are 4 each of two colours included in the first parcel -
I ordered the yarn last night for that second granddaughters blanket it will leapfrog both my mums Mother's Day yarn and my original blanket order !

morning ladies :) Oh dam Gerry, sounds like you've had a bad run with Love Knitting. They sent me a survey about their service the other day so I completed it. Maybe they will do the same with you and you can tell them that way what has happened.

I had a very busy day with two playground duties and the bus duty yesterday, as well as a very active class. The days certainly whizz by.

I've given up knitting the fair aisle on the back of this hoodie so cheated and swiss darned it instead. There were just too many bobbins tangling at the back driving me nuts. The fronts aren't so bad though.

Today I'm taking dad to his hospital appointment and MrK has a blood test to do. And yoga tonight, here's hoping we have a class this time and it's not cancelled. I should be able to squeeze in some knitting.

Happy knitting :)

Glad you enjoyed school Kiwimade. Ohh Gerry Id be complaining loudly to Love Knitting...
My colouring books are calling me too Sunflowers.

Yestered I finished enough squares to make a cushion, which will sit on my rocking chair with my blanket. so will put that together today. Its only 9 squares per piece.
Have had more wooly parcels arrive. Havent opened them yet.. MrP hates me having parcels and not undoing them straight away.. Hes always like a kid at christmas lol.
Will pop up and get our meds later too.

MrP has said his left breast is sore. Ive had a feel around, it does feel a little firmer than the other.. So when we go to the dr next we will meniton it. he wont go before then, so will have to wait.

Right better put him out of his mysery and get these parcels open lol..

Have a fab day everyone

Morning all - yes it is a beautiful crisp HB day - used to long for days like this when we were in Bathurst
I didn't have a good day at all between Love Knitting and Winz yesterday - there is one outstanding medical claim left unpaid - I have told them to forget it as the hoops they have put me through for $60 is unbelievable - somebody obviously has not enough to do - I just want to move on - that sounds awful but it has gone beyond ridiculous - yesterday's letter was the 4th - I didn't prescribe the fancy drug the blimmin doctor did - enough of that
Popeye I would be like Mr P I would want the parcels opened
The stuffing for dolly has made it downstairs to sit beside her bits so that's another step in the right direction
Love hearing the school stories -

Morning ladies, just back from my walk. Couldn't remember if I was supposed to meet the neighbours at 7.30 or 7.45 and when I put the light on and looked at the clock it was 7.17 and I was still in bed. I sent a text and got the reply it was 7.45 which was just enough time to have a cup of tea, and wash my face and I was out the door. I shall have a shower and then breakfast and before I know it, the morning has gone.

Want to try to make a "doggie dak" for my friend. I took the measurements of the one she had, but haven't had time to do anything else to it.

I'm busy crocheting squares every time I sit down to have a cuppa, and doing them just one colour for the first four rounds certainly makes it much quicker (and less ends to darn in). I've only done one owl so far. If I do it 7 x 7 and do an owl on every other one then I need 25 owls and 24 plain ones. The owls do take longer.

Okay, time for my shower.

Have a super day everyone

Have opened them. Some very pretty yarns... More merino, some fancy yarns from Turkey and a lovely ball of Cleckheaton Crepe. I LOVE crepe yarn, so that one will go in the crate of crepe I have been collecting.

And the big parcel was some wool I did a swap for.

Lots of squishyness

Afternoon everyone. Gerry I understand your feelings towards Winz.Had an 30 min appointment this morning and have another on 27th May. I am not feeling very good . Have to sort our Mr S business with them and now have to get a more details from Hosp and Doctors for Winz.
Hope they sort out your wool order, you wait so long for it.
Not sure what I will do for the rest of the day, could do with a sleep but machines work outside our place again.
Take myself off for a walk,it's such a lovely day.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone. Happy crafting.

Yippee - ordered a different brand of hook last Monday night from Wool Warehouse and it has arrived so I can start
Just back from Park Island sunflower - absolutely glorious day - but they say problems come in threes - I will have to start wearing a belt - my jeans kept gravitating towards my knees - this walking must be doing some good! If Winz updated their work practises - would not only save the tax payers money would save their sanity

Morning
Yes Stellaw I'd be bored without my knitting although I watch tv and read while doing it. Also manage to waste time on the computer or iPad lol.

I personally haven't had to battle WINZ but a sister is having big problems with them in Hamilton. It seems that everyone who she has to deal with has a different interpretation of the rules and all want different things or many repeats of what she has already provided to someone there.

Oops there goes the rubbish truck - forgot it was rubbish day, will have to wait for next week now.

Still Happily knitting up left over wool into little garments but need to deliver what I've already made so babies can get the benefit for this winter. Then will get wool for next projects as have couple of bigger jerseys to do.
