Morning ladies, yesterday Grace and I went to Opononi, Omapere and Rawene as planned and left son home splitting firewood. He hasn't finished but he's made a huge dent in it. Nothing much had changed on the Hokianga, a few more houses but that was all, must be 40 years since I was there, Rawene I had never been to and probably won't go again!

House is starting to have a much more "lived in" appearance than when the family arrived, think I may need to do some vacuuming and tidying up. Might do some gardening today. Waiting to see if Harvey Norman have a sale on lounge suites soon so I can go and choose a new one, will go and see what they have some time in January.

Meantime I'm going to do a few more wedges for my next puzzle ball.

Up bright and early this am - off to Hamilton of a few days so want to get ahead of the traffic and heat.

Italian family arrive tomorrow morning at 5am so we will have a very early start to get to Auckland in time. Be great to see them all again and meet the new little fellow.

Well bag and knitting packed just need to load the car - seem to be accumulating stuff to take and will call in to the orchard on the way and get some HB fruit to take.

morning ladies :) You will be 40 minutes or so from me jayemtoo, safe travels! Good idea to do the trip in two halves, the traffic has been crazy mad here.

I spent a good part of yesterday afternoon and up until midnight unpicking and fixing a mistake I made in the outline of my hardanger so am a tad bleary eyed this morning. I could have worked around it by changing the design but the more I stitched the more I wasn't happy. MrK says I'm the queen of unpicking lol. Anyhoo, it's done now and I can move forward.

Morning ladies, well I for one am feeling quite positive about 2017, I know it can't be much worse than the last 3 years have been - which all turned to custard when Mr K broke his neck - it all went downhill from there. Next year has to be better than what I've had recently.

Today I plan to put clean sheets on sons bed, and then we are going to spread a tarp on the lawn and then put the main sail from the boat on it so I can scrub the dirty patches, then when it's dry I can "flake" it (that is fold it a certain way) so it can be stowed in a sail bag - of course the bag is on the boat.

Think I will walk to town for milk later and to check the mail, don't like my chances of finding anywhere to park so it's best to not even try and I can walk along the beach once the tide has turned and that's quite a pleasant walk.

Meantime, cup of tea and a bit of crochet before breakfast.

Ohh Kiwimade, I can imagine how the eyes are feeling this morning.. But at least you know that a mistake wont annoy you for the rest of your days.

We are going up to the Junktion today, just for a nosey, then Ill get some more drink and come home.

My back is delicate today, I have to be very careful not to jarr it.

I meant to say in here we are actually getting some Homehelp in the new year. An hour a week to get the floors, toilet and bathroom cleaned.. Its going to make such a difference to my pain thats for sure. And we have the OT people coming at some stage too.

Ive still only had half my wool order arrive. I emailed deramores and they have mucked something up, saying Id been refunded for what was missing, but showed me what I was missing. And thats Not my order lol. so Ill reply with whats missing and work it from there.

Cant beleive today is the last day of the year. its gone soo fast really, between the two surgeries for MrP.
But if I had to say whats been the best part of the year it would be that its lovely to be much more in contact with my older brother.

Right I better get this email sorted...

The last couple mornings I've been up early to try and get my front garden clean up and what a job its been. It's not been touched for a few months. errr.
I'm pleased you had company for Christmas Kuaku. It's over 20 years since we been for a holiday up there.
I'm off to cleanup and go down to our Farmer's Market for some fresh herb plants I have ordered.

We went to your Farmers Market when we were Napier last April sunflowers, loved it! Bought the most gorgeous olive oils and a bacon butty :)

My sewing machine is coming out today, I'm going to have a tutu with an idea I had, well part of the idea is mine, some of it I saw online. I will use some scrappy fabric to try it out before I buy the lovely fabric I saw in Spotlight the other day. And I must start unpicking the crochet blanket I started and don't need anymore. Maddy will have a gorgeous olive green and pink jumper next winter lol.

Happy new Years everyone,
And a warm start to the year. And yes Im sure throught the year we will have created lots of goodies.

Today Im hoping to get all the christmas stuff put away.. Soo pleased we dont eat at the table lol..

OMG last night we were laughing soo much when I was trying to put MrP's compression socks that arrived yesterday, on, that it probably took twice as long as it should. And ohh not good on arthritic joints lol... But we got there in the end.. He said this morning he feels like he has his legs back.
so I will order some more. We got 4 pair for just under $10 and free delivery. They are apparrently $60 a pair in the chemist.

Right I had best get a few things done on here and then try and declutter the table lol..

Happy New Year, I hope you all had a good start to 2017.
We certainly had an early start as up at 3am to go toAuckland airport. Got thee in time to get a coffee and the family arrived. So great to see them all.
Had a short stop on way back to settle the baby, he's not used to car seats yet as coming from Venice it's all boats not cars. Miss 4 slept most of the way to Hamilton so she was full of bounce as the rest of us continued to wilt during the day.
Lots of smiles and cuddles with baby, he is much the same age as your little Michael, Kiwimade and a good solid wee fellow too not sure if as good a sleeper though as so tired I heard nothing, everyone was in bed very early and I slept like a log, both kids still asleep.
Off home again later today I think.

Happy New Year everyone. I had a lovely lazy day yesterday. Just pottered about for a short while in the morning, then sat out on the deck and relaxed, had a coffee, did some crochet. Made dumplings and wontons for lunch (late) because Grace had shown me how last week, and there was some dumpling pastry and wonton pastry left over. It's not available here, will have to see if there is an Asian supermarket in Whangarei next time I'm down there.

I was pretty tired so had a nap at 6, woke to find they had taken the dog for a walk, and then when they came back they made pizzas for tea. Quite yummy - not something I ever cook for myself.

I've just started another corner to corner blanket using multi-coloured yarn which I bought in my last Deramore's order. I don't like the mustard which is in with the lovely blues/mauves etc, so might just change my mind on this and do a mile a minute instead, and every time I come to the mustard (which I actually hate - put up with it on the kitchen/dining room walls for 6 years) I will cut it out. Or I could just re-start the corner to corner and cut the mustard out. Decisions, decisions!

Going on a wine tour this afternoon with the neighbours - one of them has a "tour" business and this afternoon is a "neighbours special" - should be fun.

Morning everyone.
Wow a big trip Jayemtoo... Are they staying Long? I bet they have noticed the temp change from winter to summer.

Kiwimade did MrK have to wear the socks all the time? we're not totally sure so have settled on through the day as his legs are down and let them out at night time.

I put the christmas stuff away yesterday doing a total repack.. so im pleased thats done for another year. It will be worse next year cos Im going back to the normal tree.

Ive been putting my wool into the tote bags I made, but Ive decided although they hold the wool nicely, it means I have to open them to see whats in them. so Ill look on here and see if I can find some largish plastic bags.
Heard from Deramores yesterday, if the yarn hasnt turned up by midweek they will send replacements.

Im so pleased that we are nearly back to normal with the post and shops etc.

Overcast here and getting darker by the minute.. So a day spent on crafts or some more sorting of my wool.. while MrP does the dishes.. Im refusing to help today lol.

Happy New Year to you all
We didn't go down to the Sound Shell New Year Eve,would of liked to as they had a good lineup for the night. Had friends come in and we sat under the Silk Tree and then watched the fireworks.(would of been to much walking and standing for Mr S at the Sound Shell.)

Just about finished the gardens in the front of the house. Had the hose on all day yesterday as everything is getting so dry. Started at the backing in the veggie garden at 8 am and finished at around 9 last night.Only turned the hose off for couple of hours. It was a good day to do as it was overcast all day.

Got my self a new printer in the sales,so need to set it up now. Will wait until after the the weekend.
I am off to a Book Art 3 day gathering,looking forward to it. Was in two minds about going,but Mr S is happy for me to go. It's only during the day so home late afternoons. Have to check that I have everything I need. Finished the postcards and will post them Wed.It was a swap. We picked our own themes.

I need to move and get into my craft room,only been in there to open and shut windows. since Christmas Eve.
Kiwimade , hope you have some fun on your sewing machine over the next few days.
Good to see you are enjoying your company and showing off your part of the country to your son's friend. Kuaku. Have you had any ships over the holidays Kuaku? Had one in yesterday and one on New Year Eve. See there a couple in later this week.

Popeye check with your doctor or nurse about the stockings for Mr P. So glad they are helping the pain in the legs. Hope you get the rest of your wool this week. Have you looked at storing your wool in the plastic bins? All my wool and fabrics are in bins. I just check then a couple times a year that all ok.

Popeye- I store my wool in the 14Ltr plastic sistima bins. I have all of one colour in each bin. They are half price at the Warehouse at the moment.

I have some wool in bins. But I also have 3 pantries, and a 9 drawer scotch chest too.
Its all stacked in nicely, but I just cant see the colours, so will see what sort of bags I can get. I like it all nice and orderly

Yeah sunflower it was our GP that gave us the website to get the stockings, but we never thought to ask how long to wear them.. Will carry on doing it through the day and off at night, till we know she is back and can ask via the nurse.

Forgot today was a stat day lol so no zip. Did buy the coffee I forgot when I did groceries the other day though. The main road outside our home is very busy today and now it's raining... wonder how long it will be before there is an accident on the Kaimai Ranges. The road will be slippery after the dry weather and there are a few who ignore the new speed limits we have when the weather changes.

He has a wound on his leg at the mo so that has to be dressed after showering too.. Ohh the fun.

They certainly make adifference to his skin, his legs were very dark red and even just the second day you could see an improvement.

Found plenty of plastic bags on here.. Its taken about an hour and a half to whittle them down to, Buy now and Pay now, Zip lock or not, and size.. Then the prices vary soo much over the amount of them.. but I found some that will be good... And of course they are away on holiday till the 9th lol..

But we got there in the end lol

Home, the roads were very busy but on the whole the traffic was flowing nicely except held up a little at the first big roundabout at Taupo where at least 5 cars had been tailed ended, police there but no ambulances and I think it must have been Reasonably low impact as although the cars had dents front and back they didn't look too bad. It also rained most of the way which I find a bit more tiring.

It depends a bit on why someone needs compression stockings but if the person isn't bed bound then usually they wear them during the day to help circulation and take them off at night. But yes check with the practice Nurses.

The Italian family are in NZ for a month. Both kids slept quite a bit on the plane so it was the parents who felt it most. Miss 4 was a bit indignant at having to go to bed at 7pm (her usual bedtime) "but it is still daytime!" - bit different to it being dark at 4.30pm at home lol.

morning ladies :) Jayemtoo is right, mrK was bed bound at the time and I remember he had to wear them home too.

Dad is in hospital with breathing problems so it's going to be a trip to Waikato Hosp I think today. Will phone first and see what is happening, if they are going to send him home I might as well wait for that. MrK isn't impressed I'm going to bring him home (grrr... if it was him the story would be different!) as he sees petrol being used (tight at** at times!) but I pointed out my sister spent most of the night at the hospital with him so I need to do this.

I started unpicking the crochet blanket I was crocheting and don't need anymore yesterday and found a lovely cable cardy pattern. Should look nice in olive green and I thought some 'brass' buttons on it to finish it off. And seeing as the yarn is acrylic, a cable pattern will/ should add extra warmth. Will work away at it along with my hardanger but thanks to all the unpicking I did, am running low on thread. Will buy more when in Tauranga next along with the zip I need for the knitting bag I am sewing. So a bit 'on the go', a nice way to start the year.

Morning everyone

Not good re your dad Kiwimade.. Hope he improves quickly.. I have a tight wad here too, but I just ingore him and do what is needed.. And yes if it was him it would be different.

Ill ring the med centre tomorrow when the full staff is back on re the socks. I can see an improvement which is great.

I started doing cross stitch on some plastic grid yesterday.. Soo much easier than floppy aida cloth lol.. Im making my christmas ornament swaps from it.. yep starting early this year.
Still plodding on m crochet. But if I aim for a minimum of 4 squares a day it wont take too long. Ill probably get the squares done for the second blanket and then it will be cool enough to put them together.

Warm and wet here this morning. Was dry when I put the rubbish out. Its that constant drizzly rain.

Good you can recycle the yarn Kiwimade. You will probably end up loving the cardy more than you would in the blanket.

morning ladies :) dad is coming home tomorrow so I will phone him today rather than visit. Traffic is a nightmare at the moment and the less time on the road, the better for me. Yes popeye, MrK can get some weird ideas at time and can be quite 'tight' and other times it's no biggie. And I just do what I need to do and ignore him lol.

I'll try and mow the lawn today, the weather isn't all that nice but will give it a go. Three days inside is driving me nuts!

Am about halfway up the back of Maddy's cardy, 16 rows to the pattern and I love it lol. Makes the knitting grow quickly, just mind over matter I know. What I like too is many patterns for kids go up to aged eight so it can be used for older kids too.

Knitting a small singlet to use up left over 4ply. Didn't get the wool for the unfinished cardy last week so will go today as Skeinz is open for a little while this am if I remember correctly.

Good to hear your dad is on the mend Kiwimade.
We have to go to Manukau next week, Im not looking forward to it. But I always find the roads much better if we go up great South road rather than the motorway.

MrP has major trust issues when it comes to money. His first wife was crap with money. he would get home from work and the power or phone would be cut off cos she hadnt been paying the bills.
So he told me right at the start, so long as the bills were paid and there was food in the cupboard he didnt care what happened after that. But it doesnt stop him from worrying. Even after 27 years lol.

I did some sorting out of cottons etc yesterday for my ornaments. And have ordered some more cottons, aliexpress has them cheap. Getting 50 for just under $10.

The day will be pretty much the same here, cross stitch and crochet lol..

Morning ladies, I have had a few nights of not sleeping well due to the heat, and last night my son asked if I had a fan he could put in his bedroom (yes, they are still here) but I couldn't find it. Thinking back I believe I chucked it out a while ago as the front "cage" area was all rusty. I bought it back in the 70s so it did well to last that long. Might have to put it on the shopping list or install a ceiling fan in the main bedroom.

Had a phone call half an hour ago from the chap who runs the craft market asking if I was going to join them today. I said I wasn't booked in, he says I was, but when I left last time he said he would phone everyone to confirm their bookings and would let me know if he could squeeze me in. I never heard from him. I said I still have family with me and couldn't go, and he said there's no spaces for me at all this month. Oh well. Never mind.

Pleased your Dad is able to come home kiwimade.

Sister phoned last night, she said it's freezing in the UK. Lucky her.

Might take Grace over to Russell today while my son splits some more firewood.

Have already crocheted a strip for my mile a minute blanket this morning. Think this one might take me a while.

Good Morning from Sunny HB with a light wind. We are so dry at present with this winds.. Have a pink lawn thanks to the wind. Silk Tree is a mass of flowers.
Went out and sat under it for about 30 mins yesterday while I planned what I need to do when I go to Book Art P lay Days at end of this week. Mr S is happy for me to go. Be home for him late afternoons..

Finished a garter knitted scarf last night in mohair.May sew it and make it a cowl Wool was given to me to use..
Still need to hit my craft room after the weekend now. errr Have to check and see if I have material I can use for the ranch doors as sun pours in first thing in the morning,so back wearing my sunnies at breakfast

I have an appointment with my Dr,need to get to the bottom of why I am having these falls.Yes,had 4 more 3 on grass outside and one inside.

Glad I am not the only one who has a hubby on their back about spending. I wanted to go up to Morrinsville to visit family and put flowers on my dad grave as he died on New Years Day 30 years ago.

Your comment about wearing sunnies at breakfast time reminded me when we were first married and rented a house. The kitchen bench was stainless steel and no curtains at the window. The sun streamed in and I had to wear sunnies to work at the bench lol.

I've been weeding and about a third of the way round, not many weeds but pays to keep on top of it all.

I spilt the doggy kibble and the Furry One had a wonderful time 'helping' me clean up the mess lol. That stuff goes for miles!

will try calling dad again, tried twice but the ward phone line was engaged. he needs a mobile phone but won't have one. Then out to mow the lawn. But first, will finish my cuppa.

morning ladies :) I managed to get through to dad and he's coming home today. Will phone when he is ready to be picked up so saves me a lot of waiting around, especially as he is having tests and what not done this morning.

Am going to put the hose on the garden as soon as I have finished my coffee, the wind yesterday undid all the good work the rain did the day before.

I had to unpick the back of middy's cardy as I made one huge mistake in a cable. Thought I could get away with it but decided nope, it had to go. Thank goodness Maddy is small so it's not really a lot to redo. What is it with me making rookie mistakes at the moment. Just not concentrating I think. I also think I need new glasses and suspect next time I visit the optician I'll be wearing them permanently and not just for reading.

Time to move and get the hose on and washing machine burring away. MrK is still snoring lol and the Furry One is tucked up under the covers with him.

Know exactly what you mean Kiwimade re mistakes. Was knitting a very straight forward milo vest last evening and managed to have to undo a couple of rows twice - just not taking enough attention to increases and which row I was on - doh!

Went to Skeinz and so good as came away with just the one ball of wool I went for. Also went to wool shop in Onekawa for some buttons BUT came away with big bag of wool - they had a sale on and the wool was just too good to bypass.

Lovely day here again although getting so dry. I'll have to water again this evening.

time for a cuppa, just a small bit of garden to finish weeding and the hose is on the shady part of the garden. I would keep going until it was finished but mrK has made the cuppa so better drink it lol.

I pick dad up at lunchtime and I can drop off a Christmas pressie to son from our daughter as well so another thing ticked off the 'to-do' list today. Dad sounded really chirpy and ready to come home so that's all good.

Blueberry tea today, my sister gave me a box of mixed flavoured teas for Christmas and this is one we haven't tried before. Quite different for tea.

Well still no wool today so Ive let Deramores know.. They said in their last email to wait till today and if it still hadnt arrived they would send a replacement.

MrP's great neice had mentioned how much she loved the pink blanket I did a few months back, and Sadly the Yarn for that is "Missing in Action" so I sent her a pretty white and mauve one Id made. so she has it when baby arrives in the next 2 weeks or so.

Just as well I have other stuff to carry on with in the mean time..

Waiting for the chemist now, I only got part of my script so they are dropping the rest off on their way home... Dont see that often these days, we are soo lucky.

Right insulin and then tea.

Good Morning Everyone. Saw the ship in yesterday morning. 4600 plus on board. Fourth largest in the world The city was buzzing.

So pleased your dad home with you kiwimade and was feeling well when he left the hospital..
Our chemist runs a service where we can have our meds to be delivered for $ 2.00.Which is handy when Mr S has been unwell.

Not good news when I took myself off to the Drs on Wed. Off blood pressure tables. Have to call in every other day to have it checked. It was up and down over the 2 hours there. Waiting on test results. No driving for a month.That no problem I can either ride my bike ,catch a bus and friends or Mr S will take me.

Off to my Book Art Play Days today. At the start of the year we start of with a 3 days of fun. Catch up on projects we want to try again and try out new ideas. I am hoping to get to all three days. Yes I did tell my Doc . He laugh and said do I ever stop.

I went back yesterday and got more of the wool that was on special as it was such a good bargain and knits up nicely I thought of a couple more kids i could make something for. Now have enough wool to last me for quite a while.

My computer has gone on the blink so have to take that in to hopefully get fixed ok, fortunately I have the iPad so am not completely out of touch but there's things I can't do on the iPad. I would be completely lost now without my devices. Have friends who have absolutely no interest in getting a computer -they don't know what they are missing out on I use mine many times a day.

Time to get going for the day.

morning ladies :) Those cruise ships are huge aren't they. We often see them when in Tauranga/Mt Maunganui. Am glad you are getting your blood pressure sorted sunflowers. Not being able to drive for a month would make me batty. Living rural, we rely on our car.

I meant to ask you jaymetoo how your little niece was settling in with our summer evenings. Our Maddy just crashes and is in bed by 6.00pm but then she hasn't come from a dark winter. I can understand why she says it's still daylight as the sun isn't setting here until at least 8.30pm.

I found some seedlings in the garden yesterday while weeding so will move them to a safer spot today where the Furry One can't squash them. They are growing on his 'track'. Much easier for me to leave his track plant free and then I'm not stressing over lost plants. And it's easier for me to weed as well having somewhere to put my feet.

Thought you might like to see what I have bee working on in the garden. Getting there slowly.

The branches are being sliced and diced today and are from the latest tree we cut down.

Had to unpick Maddy's cardigan again, luckily it was only a few rows, I feel like I will never finish the back lol. Will get there in the end.

Glad the dr is sorting you out Sunflower, it can be disturbing.

I couldnt be without being able to drive either. It was horrid when we didnt have it after the windows were smashed. Never want to go through that again.

Lol Jayemtoo re the wool.. But sometimes a bargain is just silly to avoid.

I have to type up what wool is missing and email it to deramores, so Ill do that shortly.

Took me three hours to sort out our pills last night. I move them around so I use the oldest first. It takes an hour to do our trays, so 2 hours on sorting them out and dating them etc. We have them in 60 litre plastic containers lol. Have had 200 items this year.

A quiet crafting day for me today...

Morning ladies, son and girlfriend left half an hour ago, having said last night that they were going at 6am - course that was before we went to the neighbours for drinks and rolled home (luckily we walked) well after midnight.

On Wednesday I took Grace over to Russell, discovered my old house is for sale, and was surprised at the price, it's only listed at $100,000 more than we sold it for 10 years ago, so not a huge increase in value. Noticed that the real estate agent selling it is not the lady who lives next door. Walked along the waterfront and past the real estate agent who lives next door and called in to see her. She gave me a big hug. I explained to Grace that this I used to live next door to this lady and she said "I wish you still lived next door - the owners are ar**holes).

I must spend some time today tidying up now and vacuuming the floor. will have to go to town later to re-stock the fridge and check the mail.

Worked at the op shop yesterday afternoon - very busy and it took us ages to reconcile the days takings, as the person doing the morning shift had made 3 eftpos sales which they hadn't recorded. I was nearly going nuts. Think I will stick to morning shifts in future, then I don't have to balance the books. Working tomorrow morning - had a phone call from the chap who does the markets to say I could have a stall tomorrow. I said I couldn't 'cos I'm at the op shop, so to offer it to the next person on the waiting list. He said "you are the waiting list!"

Right, washing is finished, so will hang it out and have a cuppa, then start on the housework blitz. Lawns need mowing too!

Oh what a beautiful morning! - Good job you can't hear my singing as guaranteed to be off key but the day looks great.

Took my computer into the Apple shop being prepared for all sorts of nasty things to have happened to it as the screen was just black but the lovely couple just pushed different keys, adjusted some settings, downloaded something and it's working again and only $30.
Oh how dependent I've become on my gadgets, but with sister and BiL still away I had invoices and labels needing to be printed which I can only do from the computer fortunately I can receive orders on iPad or phone as we have got off to a good start for the year kitty litter wise.

Getting on well with a ballet style cardy for miss 4 with the wool I brought the other day, it's the sort of wool that makes a pattern as you knit, making it a size bigger as will be for their next winter.

Ok off to factory for a bit as need to replace the stock I sent off yesterday.

morning ladies :) Gorgeous day here too and the main road is very quiet.

Good the orders are coming in jayemtoo. And I'd be lost without my computer as well as all my job applications are now done by email and I receive all the job advertising by e mail as well. MrK has finally over the last two years decided to use the computer as I was getting fed up doing stuff for him when he could do it himself. Now he even has a Facebook account lol. There are still one or two things he needs help with but he's doing pretty well. Even our kids were surprised he learned to use it.

Lovely to catch up with old friends isn't it kuaka. I thought house prices in your area would be skyrocketing along with the Auckland prices. House prices here are going up as more Aucklanders look further afield.

No mistakes in my knitting last evening :D but I think the cardy will be a size too big for Maddy. Still, better too big than too small and by the time extra winter layers are on underneath it will be fine.

Having a cruisey day today, housework, gardens and lawns all done for this week. Might do some more sewing.

Morning ladies, yes it certainly is a beautiful morning here too.

Op shop this morning, then no plan as yet for the afternoon. Phoned a friend yesterday to see if there was going to be enough of us around to play mah jong this afternoon, but she thought it might be just the two of us, with one at the market, another at a bowls tournament and another at a bridge tournament and the rest still away on holiday, so I suggested she comes round for a drink and bbq and we invite the lady who is at the market as she probably won't feel like cooking when she gets home so see what happens.

The alternative is I could mow the lawns or stack some firewood! I'm really excited about those options - not!

Wow - $30 to get your computer working sounds pretty good jayemtoo. Mind you, last time I took my laptop in to get it sorted, there was no charge as he could find nothing wrong with it. Apparently, just shutting the lid down instead of "shutting down" using the start key, means that it doesn't update itself. So now I always shut it down properly each night and so far it hasn't given any more trouble. It's a bit slow (I know the feeling) but fingers crossed, it will hang in a bit longer. Want to spend money on other things before buying a new computer.

That's exactly what happened with my computer Kuaka, I just put the lid down but now will be shutting it down properly at night. Had a smile to myself when I was told that I should be shutting it down properly as a 10 yr old has told me exactly the same just recently!
They also sorted out my iCloud account which was starting to bug me as wanting password all the time as well as sorting out a couple of other "clitches " so well worth it.

I guess the folk that sell you the computers aren't going to tell you these things, because it would mean that they last longer so they are then having to wait longer to sell you another new one. Hmmmm! Frustrating.

Morning everyone
We have very dark grey clouds, did have some blue to start with.

I must be the only person I know who shuts down completley. Im on the comp 3 times a day and I shut it down each time.

I redrew my pattern for the cross stitch ornaments yesterday.

Then a lady was offering a bag of oranges for barter, so I ended up making her a chocolate cake, and since I had one in the oven I made us one as well. Have to admit its the nicest ones Ive made.

So we will deliver that this morning, on our way out of town.. The Warehouse has shorts for $5 and $7 so we will see if we can get some for MrP... Cant make them for that much thats for sure.

I will make him some simple boxer type shorts to wear at home tho. And keep the new ones for going out in.

Will crochet later, missing it lol.

morning ladies :) Our laptop stays on all day but is turned off at night. It's 10 years old so we must be doing something right. Our son told us to do this years ago as it gives the cooling fan a rest.

The Furry One caught another rabbit last night, our new neighbours must have wondered what the kafuffle was about! So no breakkie for him this morning, just a teeny bit of cheese to wrap his medication in.

I'm up to the fronts of the cardy - at long last lol. And yes popeye, I do feel like I've knitted the back twice over. Will knit this afternoon but this morning I have a big basket of ironing to do... I just hate ironing. Unless it is for my sewing lol, but that's different as it's part of the creative process :P

Well done to the furry one... Hes a good hunter eh.

I still didnt crochet yesterday, just didnt feel like it. And was talking to MrP's great neice, she loved the blanket.

Will cut his hair this morning, hes starting to look like Goldie locks lol.

Went to the warehouse yesterday and got him some shorts, and they fit thank goodness. So I think ill go through his wardrobe and drawers and get rid of all the small ones.

He now has 5 wounds on his legs, so its taking a while to dress them now. he said just leave them, and I said yeah andhave them turn to ulcers and need to be cut off.. no thank you.

I dont like ironing either Kiwimade. But strangley in one house we lived in it was perfect for ironing in, Id get the clothes off the line and iron them straight away, with music blaring, and it had to be cos our neighbour liked it too lol.

well Ill have play on here and then get his mop cut.

Morning ladies, dozed off briefly in the chair last night and as a result was still awake at 3am, so a late start to the day - just as well I didn't have a stall at the market today as I have to be there by 7.30 and I didn't get up till just after 9.

My friend changed her mind about coming for the bbq yesterday, she is waiting for a hip replacement and thought walking up my driveway and the stairs would be too painful. She can drive to the top of the driveway but doesn't like reversing down it. So I bbq'd just for me. It was very pleasant out on the deck. Very overcast this morning and a cool breeze.

Plan to mow a couple of the lawns this morning and then I want to put a new set of buttons on a dress I picked up yesterday at the op shop, it's lost some and they have been replaced with ones that don't match. It also has a couple of buttonholes which need re-doing. Could do with shortening too but may not bother it has a sort of pleated skirt and if I fold it over the creases will be the wrong way and it might stick out and look funny.

I've now done four strips on my latest mile a minute blanket, that is the centre strips and the outer edges, 8 more to do and join them. Might do some this afternoon.

I don't mind the ironing, I just hate putting things away.

Time for breakfast I guess. Well done Bandit - he really is a good hunter.
