I reckon you can never have too much wool either

Jayemtoo - I knit socks, mostly for charity. I do quite a lot, but don't think I'll live long enough to use all that I've accumulated - so hard parting with some when I want to keep it all! spinderella - 2016-08-20 19:31:00
morning ladies :) Not all of us 'hoard' wool spinderella. I tend to go against the grain and don't like having a big stash. I use what I need and after a while when I start building up the ends of skeins I find something to do with them. Yesterday our 20 year old stereo died so we went to Hamilton and bought a new one. Just as well I've had those teaching days lol. The new one has such a lovely mellow sound. Yesterday afternoon we were rocking the house with Led Zep, Pink FLoyd, The Boss and Eric Clapton. So now to list the old speakers, there is nothing wrong with them and someone may want them. So needless to say not a lot of crafting was done yesterday - there was lots of dancing in the living room though lol. Yayy for living rural! Happy knitting :) Edited by kiwimade64 at 7:56 am, Sun 21 Aug kiwimade64 - 2016-08-21 07:56:00
Morning Started the day early with putting veges into the stock I had in the slow cooker for more soup but came back to bed to warm up before starting the day properly. Keeping on with the blanket, it is growing gradually but had to go and get a bit more wool as will need at least another row of squares than I had originally calculated, to make it long enough. jayemtoo - 2016-08-21 08:24:00
Morning everyone I had a very productive day yesterday. I have destashed the fabric, two bins down to one. Three supermarket bags full on the table for the oppy Pulled the crates oout in the garage, I don't know why the heck the knitted toys were at the bottom of the pile. But I have all that out ready to take photos etc. for Facebook.. Ive taken photos for stuff to put on here too Weeded the front garden.. Will have to get the lawn man to clear out the other two gardens tho. they are beyond us. Picked the daffodils for our wedding anniversary, as we got married on the second daffodil day, and then I put my bouquet of them next to MrP's Mums Urn. One of the stems is 24 inches long, which beats the 23 inch one we had in Mangakino. Have to pop up the road, then home to do photos etc.. Still no crochet for me. but I'm getting a lot of other stuff done, so that works. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-21 09:42:00
morning ladies. It's supposed to rain today, so far it doesn't look like it. You have been busy popeye. I remember our cat walking along the mantle piece so delicately and weaving her way around the ornaments. She never knocked anything off. And all to get to her favourite windowsill. She only had to hop onto the armchair and she was there but no, had to take the 'long way'. I have crocheted together two lengths of squares together for the blanket and I am pleased with it. I crochet squares and join as I go, even sew in the ends. Random squares with pink seems to be working too. It is going to take me a while to finish as the garden is calling me. I must go and weed and prune dad's garden too before he comes home. happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-22 07:50:00
Morning everyone. Yes Missy likes to take the long way around. One of her favourites is to get from one bedside cabinet to the other side, across the pipe headboard using me to make it wider. I'm sitting there reading and I get a tap on the shoulder so have to lay my arms along the pipe lol... I started my page yesterday Hot off the Hook NZ.. So today I will be adding my work to it. Then I Need to get some wool out and start crocheting.. I found a cool graph for a batman blanket, which I really want to do. But I have to work out how much wool. Will be starting the battleship one first tho. I must pick some more lemons too they are looking riper now. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-22 09:52:00
Help please with wool from Deremores. 1shadow1 - 2016-08-22 13:45:00
oh trishch - how long is a piece of string? I've used lots of different acrylics, and it comes down to a matter of choice. The James C Brett ones are nice and soft and I've used those for blankets. Twinkle and marble are among my favourites. I have found though that the "top value" one which looks to be off-white actually is very pale lemon when it arrives - and I've made that mistake several times which is really annoying. There is also one called "shimmer" (can't remember what brand it is) but it's not as nice to use as the "twinkle" as it splits more easily. Hope this has been some help to you. kuaka - 2016-08-22 16:06:00
| 10309 | kuaka wrote:
Totally agree with Kuaka.. Ive used all of the above.. James C Brett is my fave. And I especially love the twinkle for the glittery effect. Great for Christmas stockings etc. And I have knitted two jackets for myself in the pink and Red popeye333 - 2016-08-22 16:59:00 |
Thanks Kuaka. Will go through the site tonight, just didn't want pure wool for the great grandchildren's blankets 1shadow1 - 2016-08-22 17:01:00
Evening My lemon tree is working overtime too Popeye, just made three lemon syrup cakes as on morning tea again tomorrow and have picked a big bagful to take with me too. While the oven was on I put in a corn quiche thingy so am enjoying that and settling down for a relaxed evening with the knitting. jayemtoo - 2016-08-22 18:09:00
morning ladies :) I agree, James C Brett is a lovely acrylic to work with. There is another one I bought, was advertised as soft and perfect for babies but when it arrived, it felt quite harsh. Will find the band when I get home this afternoon and let you know which brand it is. oh yum, lemon syrup cake, never thought to make that with our lemons :) Back in the classroom for me today so no crafting. We're babysitting our granddaughter tomorrow but the cuddles are worth no crafting. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-23 06:54:00
Morning ladies, another busy day yesterday. Worked in the op shop from 10 till 1, came home, sat out on the deck in the sunshine and had lunch and did a bit of crochet, then decided I would weed-eat the edges of the lawn and the overgrown scrap of lawn on the higher level, but first I would read the instruction book on starting the weed-eater. That was when I discovered I'd left my specs at the op shop, so back I went. They were still there where I'd left them on the till, so that was lucky. So I spent 15 minutes using the weed-eater and then shortened two pairs of trousers, put the rubbish out then went to the club. Didn't win the membership draw, but I played one frame of snooker and had one glass of wine. Came home. Long phone call from my sister and then I finished this: https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/506538954.jpg I think "he" is quite cute, although being bright pink, he is probably a she. Have a super day everyone. Edited by kuaka at 8:03 am, Tue 23 Aug kuaka - 2016-08-23 08:01:00
Morning everyone. Have fun at school Kiwimade. Ohh Kuaka, He/she is soo cute. My friend often goes home from work with her prescription tough glasses on. I did 4 grey squares yesterday. Ill get the grey and red and grey ones done then put them away till I get the blue for the water. I Need to do the batman blanket.. So will have to hope I sell some stuff to buy more black wool lol. Ive done photos for mu fb page. So will get them up later maybe. Have to pop up the road to do a few things, take this fabric to the oppy too. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-23 09:03:00
Morning You are getting a bit of work Kiwimade must be nice to be able to use your skills. Have a meeting this evening so might do a bit of knitting now while relaxing to make up for less later. jayemtoo - 2016-08-23 11:29:00
phew, school is finished and mrK has gone to have a beer with his mates. I'll go down later to bring him home and catch up with all the news. I am lucky jayemtoo, as much as I would love a class of my own, I 'make do' with relief reaching. It has it's upsides as I can still have the time at home and with our overseas students. The money I earn is a bonus and has often gotten us out of a financial scrape of some sort - usually an unexpected bill. Am going to put the kettle on - am tempted to open a bottle of wine but I have to drive later on - and put my feet up with my crochet hook. I love the pig kuaka, why can't she/he be gender neutral lol. kiwimade64 - 2016-08-23 15:56:00
morning ladies, a quick hi and bye as we are leaving early to babysit our granddaughter. Our daughter has another appointment for a scan this morning in Rotorua so it's an early start all round. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-24 06:45:00
Morning ladies, safe travels kiwimade. The weather doesn't look very promising this morning and the forecast is for rain, looks like we will get some before too long. I guess that means that this afternoon I will need to either do some housework or knitting. I wonder which it will be! Actually a friend said she was going to call in so it might be just more knit and natter. She doesn't knit but she does some really clever origami. I had better get cracking as I still have a pair of trousers to shorten and I need to take them along to knit and natter this morning, and I have two packages to wrap and post while I'm out. I filled the car with petrol yesterday and got the tyres checked as it seemed to be vibrating a bit when I was driving. Front left was 22, the rest were 27, 28 and 29 and the chap reckons they should all be 32. Felt much better driving home. I hope that doesn't mean I have a small puncture. He said to just call in and check them any time - 'cos I don't do a high mileage when I fill the tank it lasts me best part of two months. Won't this time of course if I get away for a few days early next month. I will pick my time to go, not going if the weather is rubbish. Right, I must get started or it will be time to go and I won't be ready. Have a super day everyone. Edited by kuaka at 8:13 am, Wed 24 Aug kuaka - 2016-08-24 08:12:00
Morning everyone. Have fun and lots of cuddles Kiwimade. A busy start to the day for you Kuaka. Gave MrP a bird bath this morning.. I didn't want to get his bad leg wet before we go to the drs. the dermatitis etc is starting to get him really down. So hopefully we can get something to help. I only got one square done yesterday.. Just not in the mood at the mo. But I did spend some time looking at graphs online, which is probably dangerous to the yarn stash lol. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-24 08:40:00
Yay just made contact with one of the yarn lotto ladies in town here, she wont the first draw.. Shes going to teach me how to read crochet patterns and do a few more stitches etc.. popeye333 - 2016-08-24 09:38:00
Well I no longer have to worry about the gender of the bright pink pig,'cos one of the ladies at knit and natter bought him - so now I really want to make another to take along to the market on Saturday. Better get cracking, meantime I'm trying to reupholster two more chairs. kuaka - 2016-08-24 14:36:00
morning ladies :) We had lots of cuddles yesterday and they are all coming to stay this weekend as well. So more cuddles for us and the Furry One will be run ragged lol. Grocery shopping today and I need to buy more yarn for the blanket I'm crocheting. The weather is meant to be rubbish so hopefully I can get it all done without getting wet. The pig was a quick sale kuaka, well done :) Happy knitting. kiwimade64 - 2016-08-25 07:50:00
Morning Ok off to get the vacuum cleaner out. jayemtoo - 2016-08-25 09:28:00
Morning everyone. MrPs leg wept a lot through the night.. But with the help of feminine products the weeping is well taken care of. It looks good tho, so that's good. Shopping here too.. we will go to the oppy too since they have a sale. Otherwise that's it. Kinda hoping the daffodil day sellers will be in the foyer of NW today, they usually are the day before the proper day. I did a square while waiting at the drs yesterday but that was all. I have been wondering where the Christmas stockings are that I knitted, then sometime through the night I thought well where are the hearts and mini stockings I made too. A quick flick of the torch under my bed and yes there is a second container under there. So they will be in there. The other is wool lol Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-25 09:38:00
Morning ladies, it's very gloomy here, overcast and we've had rain and I think we are in for more. I am going out to lunch today with my two closest friends and will have a quick tidy up in case they come back here afterwards. It will be very quick though because I've got chairs in various stages of "undress" in the dining area, and piles of fabric, staple guns, tacks, hammer etc all ready for use, and I'm not even going to try to tidy that up. Pig no. 2 is progressing nicely. I found the pattern says to work 5" from last but I'm not sure if that is supposed to be after the last increase or from the cast on and I can't remember what I did on the first one, so this one might turn out a different size. I must make a note of what I do and alter the pattern. I've also made a kiwi except for his legs and beak, so hope to get that done to take along on Saturday. I woke at 4 this morning and got up at 5 and had tea and toast, then I started to doze off watching tv so went back to bed at 6.30 and slept till just before 9 so I had better go and have my shower and wake myself up properly. Have a super day everyone. kuaka - 2016-08-25 10:00:00
Happy Birthday Kuaka.. Hope you have a wonderful time out with your friends..!!! Edited by popeye333 at 12:44 pm, Thu 25 Aug popeye333 - 2016-08-25 12:44:00
Happy Birthday Kuaka, have a great day - I won't sing happy birthday, you don't want a headache! jayemtoo - 2016-08-25 13:37:00
jayemtoo - all I will say is that Facebook has a lot to answer to! I had a lovely lunch at one of the local Thai restaurants with my closest "local" friends (not my oldest friends in as the friends I've known the longest) but they have been a huge support for me in these last few months. Not only did we have a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price, I also got a 10% "local" discount and because it was my birthday (or because the waiter asked if I was related to that certain someone with the same unusual surname again - and I explained that Mr K was, but sadly is no longer with us, and I was celebrating my birthday for the first time without him) he didn't charge us for the deserts (or is that desserts - I always get that one confused). The weather could buck it's ideas up and turn on the sunshine again, but that's not looking likely today. Had a lovely flower arrangement from Virginia in Australia and a package in the mail from her with two lovely framed family photos and another frame which has the motto "Begin each day with a smile". I will certainly try to. Even though Mr K is no longer with me, I feel very blessed two have two lovely caring step-children, who think the world of me, and the other three who don't give a "sh*t" are just missing out as far as I'm concerned. So now I am going to put my feet up, enjoy a glass of bubbles and do some knitting. Watch me fall asleep before too long. Cheers everyone! kuaka - 2016-08-25 14:38:00
Didn't take much to figure out lol Re facebook.. Glad you were treated soo kindly at the restaurant too.. I am pleased for you that you have a couple of Awesome Step children. Just don't wake up with a crick in the neck!!!!! popeye333 - 2016-08-25 17:51:00
Have managed to stay awake so far, but time will tell. kuaka - 2016-08-25 19:00:00
morning ladies :) Happy birthday for yesterday (I spotted it on FB too lol) Kuaka and it sounds like you had a wonderful day. Your two step kids are pretty awesome. Housework today for me, our daughter and her wee family are coming to stay the weekend. They have been trying to get here for weeks so fingers crossed it works out this time. I'm about a third of the way through making this blanket, it's probably going to be a bit bigger than needed but that's ok as there will be plenty to tuck in. Good to read you are going to learn how to read patterns popeye. I find following the diagrams easier than reading worded patterns but doesn't matter really. Once you have it sussed you will be able to crochet so much more. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-26 07:52:00
Morning everyone. I did 5 squares yesterday. Finally have my mojo back. I'm going to pop up to the oppy again this morning , there was a neat head cushion with a gap for the ear there yesterday. I should have got it.. So if I'm meant to have it, it will be there today. So ill check a few things here. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-26 09:39:00
Good Morning Everyone. Happy Birthday Kuaka for yesterday. Pleased to hear you had a lovely lunch with your friends. I'll off to lunch today with friends who are here for Knit August Night. It a weekend of classes, knitting, buying from yarn stalls from all over NZ people watching and food, wine and lots of laughter. It's good to catch up and see what everyone is doing. I am going to leave my cards at home,I don't want any more yarn, fibre at present. Called into Skeinz and purchased some plastic needles for sewing up seams etc. Busy going around car yards this week looking for a Have a great everyone. sunflowers28 - 2016-08-26 10:03:00
Morning ladies, I just about had a heart attack a few minutes ago. Decided I would try to do a couple more of the kitchen chairs, and suddenly realised I don't have enough fabric. Could have sworn I bought enough. So I jiggled the pieces around and decided I would have to go back to spotlight and get some more - hoping they would still have some, then the penny dropped, that I was trying to squeeze 6 backs out of the fabric and three seats, but I've already finished one chair and done the seats of two, so I only need enough for 3 seats and FIVE backs. I have enough. Phew! What a twerp I can be at times. So that is my chore for the next hour or so, and I want to make some new scatter cushion covers to go on the lounge suite. I've just had a phone call asking if I can work in the op shop tomorrow morning and seeing as I don't have anything else planned, I said yes. It certainly helps the time go quickly which is good. Pity we don't get paid, but thems the breaks. Have a good day everyone. kuaka - 2016-08-26 11:14:00
Morning Have a good day all. jayemtoo - 2016-08-27 07:23:00
morning ladies :) lmao kauka, I have been known to do similar things and fly into panic mode until I realise I was right the first time. Daughter and her family should arrive this morning, hopefully the wind will die down and they will have a cruisey drive. The wind was huge last night and early this morning. I might be able to squeeze some crafting in before they arrive, but I know daughter will be bringing her crochet with her. She's also making a dreamcatcher so am interested to see how that is going. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-27 07:43:00
Morning Would love to be going to the wooly thing that's on this weekend. Ive seen ladies destashing so they could afford to go. I didn't get any crochet done yesterday. Just seemed to be busy with other stuff after I went up the street. The daffodil day had their stall and had a few pairs of shoes and other stuff for Make a donation. I got MrP a rather large Aeroplane. Its a tri wing. All made of metal it needs cleaning but he loves it. Perfect Anniversary pressie for him, albeit a few days early A lot of pain today so Ill be crocheting. And getting to the pile of dishes later. Cant wait to see the dream catcher finished Kiwimade Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-27 09:50:00
Afternoon ladies, well I'd like to say I was run off my feet at the op shop this morning, but I wasn't. It was very quiet. When it was nearly time to knock off there and close up I went over to the market with samples of my stuff. They loved the puzzle balls, were really intrigued with them, said they'd never seen anything like them before, but were less than enthusiastic about the tea cosies, and the knitted toys (including the little sheep and the bright pink pig). They didn't say I can't sell them, but would prefer I didn't. They loved my fingerless gloves, the bow knot scarves, moebius cowls and the egg cosies. Anyway I'm booked in for a stall on Thursday and will basically take everything along that I have, and see when it comes to it, what I can sell. Their figuring is that some of the other ladies sell toys and tea cosies - sure they do, but they're not the same as mine. So fingers crossed, I'll make a few sales and not upset too many people by trying to sell the same stuff as they have. I spoke to one lady I know from mah jong and she said she'd only sold one tiny little item (think she only charges $5 for them) so sounds like it was a very quiet day all round. Thursday there is a cruise ship in but I don't know how big it is. Then I went to the supermarket and spent more than intended (but then I always seem to do that) and came home to a lovely big bunch of orchids on my doorstep and a card. It was from the next door neighbours (they were obviously up this morning from Whangarei). I went up to thank them but there's nobody home. Well seeing as I have had no lunch, I had better have an early tea. Meantime I'm starting on another puzzle ball. Fingers crossed I'll be able to sell some - so the more I have, the more I have a chance to sell. Enjoy the rest of your day. kuaka - 2016-08-27 15:28:00
Morning everyone. Lots of cuddles from Maddie I hope Kiwimade. MrP is still in bed so its lovely and quiet. not that hes the loud thing, its the tv he has on all the time that's loud. Ive got a few more photos to take then I can start putting things on my Hot off the Hook NZ page. And I have heaps of listings finishing here after lunch. Fine but still windy here. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-28 08:58:00
Morning ladies, the market isn't till Thursday so I have a few days to get organised. I had a message from a friend this morning and she asked what I have planned for today. I replied, "well the lawn needs mowing, the driveway needs sweeping, the car needs washing, the garden needs weeding and I need to put clean sheets on the bed - so I will probably sit and crochet!" I might tackle a couple of those jobs as well. The weather is certainly starting to make me feel as though I should be doing some outside jobs. Have a super day everyone. kuaka - 2016-08-28 09:38:00
Morning Managed to get a deeper green wool for the edging of the blanket and to make it even better it was on a good special too so have made a start on that although still have the edges of rhe blue one to finish but it is quite bulky now so good to have a big and small project to pick up although hope the green one isn't small for too long lol. Sister and BiL went to Palmerston North for the weekend but BiL has ended up in Hospital there, they can't transport him back here till today. Sister came home last night and hopefully BiL will follow today unless they just discharge him and then we will have a trip down there later, matter of wait and see at this stage. I'll make sure I have some knitting at hand though as knowing hospitals there is always some waiting around. Attacked the lemon tree yesterday as it was getting too tall picked 2 good sized boxes of lemons and there are still rather a lot on it. Will take the picked ones to the drop off point for the citrus drive we have here each year. Citrus is collected and then sent down south for hospitals, rest homes etc. Have a good day. jayemtoo - 2016-08-29 07:31:00
morning ladies :) What a busy weekend we had, our granddaughter certainly is full on! And yes, I did have some cuddles. That is such a good idea for the citrus jayemtoo, we see so much waste here in the Waikato with fruit just rotting on the ground. Hope your BiL is on the mend and home soon. Good luck with the stall kuaka, as you say your tea cosies are different so maybe you all will sell some. I thought the cruise season had finished, must keep an eye out over at Mt Maunganui. Those cruise ships are very impressive. Managed to do a bit of crochet but not much. Our granddaughter tried to 'crochet' with my hook and yarn and daughter had to rescue my work. No biggie, we could see she was wanting to do what mummy and nana was doing, when she is bigger one of us will teach her. And yes, I did have my crochet put away in my knitting bag and had even zipped it up! I guess she just wanted to give it a go. Beds to strip and sheets to wash today, will run the vacuum over the floor too. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-29 08:22:00
Morning everyone. They do the citrus drive here too. I must pick the last of ours and put them out the front. I'm sure Maddy will love to learn to knit and crochet later.. What about a French knitting doll in the meantime Kiwimade. I haven't looked at FB yet but Ive had one enquiry for a purple blanket. Ohh if any of you ladies have a single bed, could someone Please measure it for me. I want just from the bottom of the pillow to the foot and width please. Just the top cos I can add for hang over depending on what the customer wants.. Thankies. We don't have a single bed here. I want to compact down the stuff I have listed on fb and get it into hopefully one less crate today. Have a fab day everyone. popeye333 - 2016-08-29 10:04:00
Afternoon ladies, what a terrible night and morning weatherwise - torrential rain, blowing a gale, and not very warm. The big digital clock/temp display on the waterfront was showing only 14 degrees when I came home from the op shop 20 minutes ago. The sun did come out for about 10 minutes, but it's gone again now.) We had someone came in and bought a couple of tops, paid and then left them behind. Hope she remembers and goes back for them. I did get a few of my chores done yesterday. I put clean sheets on the bed and did a couple of loads of washing, I mowed (or rather hacked at) the lawn with the weedeater - I'm thinking I need to also invest in a second electric mower if I want the lawn to look anything like a lawn - and I cleaned the outside of the guttering at the back of the house, where I could reach. I couldn't finish it because the deck changes to a lower level and it is too high for me. I noticed this morning that I had forgotten to put the bbq back in position and it was blocking my sea view, so I carefully put it back. When I got home, the wind had blown it right away from the wall. The wind must be quite strong to do that. https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/508153702.jpg I spent quite a while yesterday labelling stuff for the market, and I have a lot more to do yet, so that will keep me busy this afternoon. Hope everyone is well, and enjoying your crafts. Edited by kuaka at 1:44 pm, Mon 29 Aug kuaka - 2016-08-29 13:42:00
Popeye, I've just measured my single bed, and it's approx 95cm across and from the base of the pillow to the foot 160cm. Hope this helps. kuaka - 2016-08-29 14:14:00
morning ladies :) What are you going to do with the bit of guttering you can't reach kuaka? Our single beds are antique so quite high and wide, not sure if you would like those measurements popeye? The bin man has been nice and early so I can get out and mow the lawns and do edges early. MrK is still busy emptying the compost bins - I won't ever since a rat leapt over my shoulder many moons ago. And yes, I did scream lol. Yesterday we had the plumber out as the storm we had Friday night blew the sticky-out pipe on the roof from the hot water cylinder over (forgot it's name). And I'm pretty nervous about MrK being on the roof now. By chance he was in the area so buggar all milage for us to pay when the bill comes in. I crocheted a couple more squares last evening so that's two less I need. Happy knitting :) kiwimade64 - 2016-08-30 07:39:00
Morning ladies, kiwimade, the piece of guttering that I can't reach, I've been thinking, I will probably just stand a bit higher up on the stepladder and use a mop on a handle, I suspect the water will trickle all the way down to my armpits and beyond, so I will curse, but I'll give it a go. Spent ages last night labelling more stuff for Thursdays market, and I've now only got a couple of things to label, and a puzzle ball almost complete. I might even get a second puzzle ball completed if I stick at it. I'd also like to do a couple more egg cosies, so might do them instead of the extra puzzle ball. It is possible of course that I will sell nothing and just bring it all home again, but I hope that won't be the case. Looks like a beautiful day today - such a difference from yesterday. Had a message from my step-daughter in Australia last night. She is absolutely fuming because her youngest sister has apparently put a message on facebook with photos showing her making a wreath of artificial flowers which she has put on her father's grave because she misses him so terribly now that he is in heaven. Funny that, because she ignored him for 38 years, and only showed up at Easter - that was the first time I'd ever clapped eyes on her. No wonder Virginia is furious! What a hypocrite. Right, time I had breakfast. I didn't wake till just before 9 this morning - just as well I don't have to go to work. Have a super day everyone. kuaka - 2016-08-30 09:44:00
Morning everyone. A friend measured one of her kids beds for me Kiwimade, thanks.. She has 7 kids so I figured she would have a few singles. Should have thought of her before lol. Today is our 25th Wedding anniversary. I can tell you it was warmer in 1991 than it is today lol.. I got an order for a Purple blanket last night.. yay, from my page so that's cool.. And I have most of the wool.. Just need to get some cream, so Ill order than shortly. Its just one big square, which I haven't done in a while . So the battleships one will be a long term project. Ive only got the wool for 5 more squares on that anyway.. so Ill hold off ordering the blue. I sold our Ladder, to prevent MrP using it. if theres anything wrong on the roof we ring the landlord.. one advantage of renting lol. Have a fab day everyone popeye333 - 2016-08-30 09:48:00
Morning (just) Know what you mean Kuaka about washing the guttering using a mop - not a job I enjoy as seem to get drenched so leave it till mid summer. Finished the knitting of the blue blanket but heaps of ends to darned in, will do them in between plodding on with the green one. Every square is one less to do. Off to do my Hospital visiting this pm, BiL came back to Hastings hosp yesteray which makes visiting easier although still a bit of travel from Napier and parking over there is terrible. Have a good rest of the day jayemtoo - 2016-08-30 11:51:00
