| 9959 | morning ladies :) The Furry and Fluffy Ones are going nuts, too wet for them to be running outside so they are chasing each other round in circles here. They have a 'race' track through the house. Thank goodness for open planning lol. We have another group of students arriving today so I'll blat around with the vacuum again (with the two dogs attached to the end of it no doubt) and give the bathroom and loo a quick once over. Kiwimade we used to have two foxies and a grey tabbie cat. we had a circuit through the lounge, dining and kitchen. Millie the cat would chase those poor foxies round and round till they were absolutely knackered lol. When she arrived at our place, she had got passed both foxies, so we figured she could stay.. She was all of about 11 weeks at the time lol.. She was never scared of them ganging up on her . I have a mountain of washing to fold.. I don't normally leave it, but I will get it done today. I have four rows left to do on the blanket. So it wont be finished until Friday, most likely cos I have my cardiology appointment tomorrow. Stay safe on the roads if your travelling today. | 9966 | Morning ladies from a very cold Sydney. I must admit I'm a bit weary. I woke yesterday morning at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep so I got up at 4. We had to leave before 6 to get to the airport, and it was pouring with rain, and the suitcases got wet going across the Tarmac to the little plane. We then got wet again walking from the domestic terminal to international, and then had to wait till our flight, scheduled to depart at 1pm, but "new time" 2.15, it was closer to 3 when it left. Pleasant enough flight and a safe drive to Paul's lovely home. He's renting it but it sold a while back for $1.6 million, apparently owned by a young Chinese couple. You would have to wonder why they would pay that much for a house and rent it out. Anyway on unpacking I found just about everything in my suitcase was soaking wet, all my winter clothes for Sydney and some of my summer clothes for Brisbane. Luckily I have a change of clothes in my cabin bag. The house was freezing having been shut up with no heating for a week, but it soon warmed up. Paul cooked a bbq and nearly froze - he does love his bbqs. I managed to do some knitting both at the airport and on the plane and quite a bit of crochet, made the start of another puzzle ball. I noticed as we drove in there's a Spotlight not far away, Paul says its walking distance but I think it would be quite a good walk and I suspect I would get lost, but I might check it out tomorrow. No plans for today, just relax here and knit and wait for my clothes to dry. Venture out tomorrow maybe. Have a super day everyone. The safety chain on my bracelet has come off the actual bracelet, but the ring it attaches to is still there, it just needs someone with good eyesight and some pliers to open the ring slightly, put the ring in the chain and then close the ring. | 9975 | Hi everyone.. Lol Kuaka taking the Job list with you on Holiday. I'm sure Paul will have it sorted quickly. I have to hang my little umbrella tag back on the chain it came off this afternoon.. Heard it hit the floor. Pretty sure my potassium is checked.. when I had my heart done they made me drink this stuff for potassium. Honestly it tasted like a Bunch of flowers.. And when mum had some she agreed. And neither of us took the second glass lol.. They were very efficient there today. Did weight, Bp (up a fraction ) but id been driving around trying to find a carpark and hadn't even had time to sit down and get my breathe back lol. And had an ecg The dr was shocked to see I hadn't had my Flecanide levels checked for 6 years.. ( I didn't know it had to be lol ) Anyway it could be that I need a larger dose. But she is also sending me to Middlemore to get a monitor. I don't know where to be miffed or hacked off... Ive seen multiple drs and no one found the missing test until today. Not sure how long the blood test results will take but hopefully its fast. And she gave me a script to use if I need to up the dose. Its totally hosing down now,, super heavy.. Glad I came on here and didn't decide to out the car away.. Id be soaked. Gerry That's why I only make my blankets in Acrylic.. Although I always offer advice for washing, you never know if they are washed carefully. Mum used to knit jumpers for my brothers kids, with pictures on the fronts etc.. And my sister in law would put them straight in the washing.. Mum stopped making them in the end.. It was heart breaking . | 9976 | Good day, Had a busy day today, went with the members of the course niece is doing on the ferry to San Fransisco. After almost 3 weeks of hot weather today was foggy with a cold wind which wasn't pleasant at all. The great views I had been told to expect were just blurry images through the fog which didn't really clear all day. Did a lot of walking and went to Golden Gate park. Took 4 yr old for ride on a bike Surrey with her mum and I having to do all the pedalling. Can't remember my gmail user name or password and can't retrieve it as they send a code to my cellphone which is at home. So after much head scratching Paul set me up a new gmail account using his contact details which I can use in the meantime. I'm sure technology complicates rather than improves the quality of our lives at times. I'm still in bed, it's still dark here, and no plans yet for today. I bought the pattern then realised it was 4 ply lol so it has been sitting there until I was in a 4 ply kind of mood. I've had the yearn tucked away for a while as well so thought it was time to knit it. More of an in between season cardy but should be pretty with a border pattern around the bottom. About to have a cuppa, have pruned about a third of the roses, so will finish up inside then head back out to get them all done. We went shopping in a huge mall around lunchtime, I found a Lincraft and was drawn towards the wool section, but only bought 4 balls, because after all I would hate to run out while I'm here. I've just finished a puzzle ball and have sewn up two sheep. Am working on an animal puzzle ball, but I need to concentrate on that, so I've just cast on another sheep. Will need to have an early night tonight as we have to be at the airport just after 7am to pick up Paul's wife and son, so it will be good to see them again, haven't seen them for over a year now. Apparently my grandson is now taller than his mother, and she's taller than me, so I will feel like a dwarf. Hope everyone is enjoying their crafts.
