I'm giving one a go tonight so I'll let you know how I fare with my machine. The amount of sugar is truly staggering though so I don't think I'll repeat it often. I have fallen off the bandwagon of going low carb.. Will try to get back on soon. Although only eating bread on occasion due to having made some delicious orange marmalade that no one wants to try so I have to eat it! Orange marmalade is lovely in a fat thick Greek yoghurt. Try it - much better than on bread. Of course if the bread is very thin and the butter very thick it might still be ok LOL :) uli - 2015-08-20 18:02:00 |
52 | http://www.misscookie.co.nz/index.php?post=1362&name=cho colate%20self-saucing%20puddin- g. This, as decadent as it sounds, is the one I'm going to try, next time I need a chocolate 'fix'. It's got definite instructions & sounds deilish. samanya - 2015-08-20 18:44:00 |

Yes best to do kay141 - give it a miss. Since I have never seen any recipe on TM that gave the wattage of their oven or microwave you may have to quit the recipe section altogether ... as there might be nothing for you to cook or bake now that you need all that info. It seems amazing to me that you came to your age without being able to adjust a recipe from microwave to oven or crockpot or other way round. Or do you just like to whinge at my recipes which have not all options in all wattages and all possibilities to cook them? I can give some recipes for baking over an open fire as well if you like. But then I am not sure what wattage that might be. Thank you for your concern. Once, it was not necessary to give the wattage used for microwave cooking because they were all around 500-600w, now they vary from 500w to 1500w. That makes a tremendous difference in the power level to use and the cooking time. But, as desserts are not part of my life but I thought some microwave ones would be handy when unexpected guests arrive, I shall stick to the ones I found on the net or those tested by other posters. And once again, thank you, I don't need recipes for cooking on an open fire. Been there, done that and now don't have time for it. kay141 - 2015-08-20 19:21:00 |

You are right about the sugar, it does seem to be a large amount in all the recipes. kay141 - 2015-08-20 19:25:00 |
55 | Well I have thick Greek yoghurt in the fridge so will be trying that thanks Uli. So my chocolate pudding was yummy, cooked for the std 10 mins as per the recipe in my 900 w microwave. The recipe from the link judged by someone to be the best. Only problem is that I used my ring tin and it overflowed! So actually we only got half the sauce! No one complained though.. It was well cooked so could be tried for less time if anything... Maybe my ring tin sped up the process! wendalls - 2015-08-20 22:13:00 |

What is your problem with my recipe ladies? I am sorry you feel ignored - but I DO have life offline too. Yes the recipe I gave at #21 is a microwave recipe - I gave the original recipe I received. And since you all love to be fast I thought you's all lap it up. No - I do not have a microwave. Yes - I have made that recipe in the slow cooker as well as in the oven and it comes out great. Takes longer of course. Give it a go. You's????? wasala - 2015-08-22 21:24:00 |
58 | O gosh this has turned into a real rant over microwaves, ovens and even a fire. I think a certain person needs to get some anti stress pills. I don't think I will be bothered to even look in receipies again with this carry on. Nasty nasty nasty. Please take that pill. Why would anyone post a receipe without oven temp, time to cook, and size cooking pan. Derrrr. I do know some people like to give a receipe but will always leave something out, not sure how the brain works. You either want to share or you don't. 59 | l was coming here for recipes but won't bother anymore as certain people have become stalkers picking on one or two people all because one of their mates got kicked off It is a recipe place not a witch hunt there are plenty of recipes with not the full instructions and as most here can work it out for themselves and others ask so why harass someone when others have not given full recipes It seems to be only people who agree with your world views can be on here and others are chased off and real nastiness Sad place this has become but when you listen to the news it is happening all over the world where a few think they can dictate to the rest of us No doubt now l have stuck my head up it will be on the chopping block anytime l comment on here which won't be often but you will be watching you lot won't you You only ever seem to be on here to check who is commenting but never seem to offer much griffo4 - 2015-08-22 22:07:00 |

I do know some people like to give a receipe but will always leave something out, not sure how the brain works. You either want to share or you don't. Keep sticking your nose in, I'm sure, like me, you will learn a lot. I have many wonderful recipes collected from this forum & there are many delightful posters willing to help. I refuse to be be put down or belittled for my input (which has happened by a couple of posters). Why should anyone let an anonymous person on the net, dictate to them as to what we should & shouldn't eat. We are all adults capable of making our own choices & if it doesn't go with what others see as 'the perfect diet' why should we be targeted? I could have easily walked away the first time I stuck my nose in this forum ...I was attacked by a low carb fanatic (& still am) & it shocked me & then i thought bugger it, no one is going to make me feel inferior because of my choices! Rant over & please don't go away, there's way more delightful people than zealots. samanya - 2015-08-23 17:02:00 |

This is the one we like best of all the ones we've tried - Mr 17 considers himself a self saucing pudding expert and will often make one on a cold miserable winter weekend and also made this for his sister's 21st birthday "please bring a dessert" party - his younger brother brought hokey pokey ice cream luckily as the two go together very well! http://nzfavouriterecipe.co.nz/recipes/desserts/65-chocolate -self-saucing-pudding Just made this … delicious!!! 68 | The most reliable chocolate cake recipe I have is a microwave one cooked in the ring . Most microwaves come with a book that gives the wattage on various settings, I know my chocolate cake cooks on p7. High is 10, defrost is 3 and all the auto cook modes are preset at different settings. Just have to read your manual and keep it. eljayv - 2017-08-25 08:40:00 |
69 | Bumped again - I first posted my recipe 5 years ago! I must remind my son that he hasn't made one for a while! He has now added chocolate mug cake cooked in the microwave to his repertoire- there's clearly a chocolate theme to his baking! sarahb5 - 2017-08-25 12:24:00 |
