51 | Im a member of ******** and Im taking a break. Too many right wingers taking over the board and they can be down right nasty. Admin seems a nice enough guy but I think he's lost control huiatahi - 2021-11-13 16:54:00 |

58 | I left the i$$ues $hithole after asking if it was possible to fully block the nutter alt_right members, they even jumped in on the tech forum help board FFS. Hopefully the SIS or whoever will close it down somewhat sooner hopefully. Edited by eaglefan at 6:47 pm, Sat 13 Nov eaglefan - 2021-11-13 18:43:00 |

61 | It's a lot more robust on NZI, but there are nutters of any persuasion on any message board, including TM, moderated or otherwise. To dismiss a whole message board as toxic, when there are thousands of threads is cutting your nose to spite your face. Some seem to forget the warnings on here to keep away from some sections! TMMB just hasn't got any traction as yet despite being around for a while. So if those offering good advice or are looking for good advice aren't on NZI, that will be a shame. And Eaglefan, look at the big picture, not a small section. If 'your side' is under-represented or can't put up a valid counter, so be it. As far as I know, no one has been refused the opportunity to participate and months ago, Admin was pleading for more left leaning people to join in, for balance. 65 | Whatever you think about politics on another site is irrelevant. If you want good computing advice then follow those who provide it. Thanks king1 for starting this thread to let us know where to find you. hazelmajor - 2021-11-13 22:37:00 |

Went back to have another good look. Is there may be an opportunity for the Admins of NZIF to separate out politics from news? Noticed a few key forums seem to be lumped together as "(Region) News, Opinions and Politics". As a side test, found that you could "ignore" forums, but having set "ignore" on forums with a high degree of political discussion, discovered that the post count ultimately fell quite low. May be some of the more seasoned users of NZIF can perhaps suggest a way how I can possibly use the inbuilt forums tools to better filter out the political discussion from the news / general discussion? Cheers. Edited by cognition at 12:49 pm, Sun 14 Nov cognition - 2021-11-14 12:38:00 |
