It doesn't make sence that you would not want any help from an Estate agent when they are the best qualified to give you the best advice. I sometimes see it in the car industy too, people can't stand the thought that someone is making any money out of them even if they themselves will end up better off. She's probably a Greens voter. Considering agents are probably best placed to advise your attitude is bizarre. Must be a westie mentality. Please don't judge, it is a personal reason why we are selling privately... Trust me if we could go through a Real Estate Agent it would take the pressure off me. Mrs Evans rod2 - 2021-03-05 21:22:00 |

I think its more like the parents have morals and ethics and principals and have dealt with agents before and have tarred them all with the same brush and find them dodgy as and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I think paying a registered valuer would be worthwhile to get another view on values not sure how to find one of the better ones. ash4561 - 2021-03-05 21:46:00 |

A set series of open homes only might be best rather than any private viewings. johnston - 2021-03-09 16:39:00 |

I'm sure if you choose a good agent, they'll be able to work with you to ensure all is well for all your family. Best of luck, I hope you have a great result for your parents. desi1969 - 2021-03-09 22:06:00 |

Registered valuers usually ring real estate agents - to give them a price! Yep, I used to date an agent and he alerted me to this. That's not to say that valuers don't have skills, of course. biscuitd - 2021-03-29 20:54:00 |
