Try and get a professional rural fencer to go with you to the Tribunal with you. He needs to write what fence he would have put there and also write a report on the existing fence's shortfall.
The mediator can ask him questions directly.

Good advice @ 51. You can ask at places like RD 1 etc for advice on a good rural fencer in your area. They may be prepared to do the remedial work as well. Can't beat a newly fenced rural area. The fences are a thing of beauty to this rural brought up gal.

I wouldn't bother with getting the fencer to attend, unless they really want too.
A written statement is more than sufficient, with their credentials attached.
It is a mediation service, not a full blown court house.
You don't need to be Perry Mason to win, because most cases are a win a bit/give a bit scenario.
