53 | Well I've seen different capers now, at the fruit n veg shop. Bigger fatter ones in a wider jar. When or if I finish my current ones I'll have to see if non supermarket capers are better! wendalls - 2017-05-15 23:06:00 |

yes I have and as you have been around long enough to know, don't go poking sticks at the wasps nest. To change an attitude you change your own first. Ignore the poster and carry on with your fab posts that I enjoy reading. rexavier - 2017-05-16 10:15:00 |

Not many folk are used to the cultural abruptness when communicating. I'm from a family who speaks in the very same manner that folk think how rude, arrogant, condescending, confrentational, superior know it alls, rough speaking. Nope, very much when English is not your first method of communication you don't learn the nuances and meanings of mainstream interaction. Not easy going back and forth. Most will try and recognize and assimilate to ensure their method of communication and message is taken in the way it was intended. Others will need to ask politely and respectfully the intention of the message if not sure, without going of the deep end making assumptions. cartoon capers... rexavier - 2017-05-16 10:23:00 |
58 | I agree about the English as a second language issue, I have Dutch friends & they are very 'literal' in their speech, but they are not rude, arrogant, condescending, confrontational, superior know it alls. Edited by samanya at 10:51 am, Tue 16 May samanya - 2017-05-16 10:49:00 |

I thought I may return but after reading for a couple of days, found it hadn't improved. I don't need to be followed around the boards with the personal nastiness from some every time I post. Life is more pleasant without their continual abuse. Sadly, I have met some IRL and they are the same. Edited by kay141 at 12:57 pm, Tue 16 May kay141 - 2017-05-16 12:54:00 |

Your "different" capers wendalls: Capers are the flower buds of the caper bush, they are pretty small and usually sold in small narrow glass jars in your supermarket. If you go to some of the more expensive places you will find "caper fruits" which are the seed pods of the fertilized caper flowers. I guess that is what you think of as the "bigger fatter" ones. Hope that helps. uli - 2017-05-16 17:29:00 |
