52 | I am very happy to say that I do neither Christmas nor New Year nor Birthdays ... so no problems here. However i had a few very lovely trifles in my time here - bur never asked for the recipe. I guess that the people just used "normal" fruit and some alcohol and that was it :) uli - 2015-10-19 18:25:00 |
53 | I do love the old traditional trifle but none of my family do, so I make a chocolate trifle with choc mousse, choc sponge, boysenberry jelly and berries. They all love including the littlest grandies so more worthwhile for me to make that. Sometimes I put Kahlua in as well, depends on the Occassion. rarogal - 2015-10-20 08:43:00 |

I thought the trifle for breakfast on Boxing Day was just a weirdness of my daughter's. Maybe she's normal after all. greerg - 2015-10-21 18:03:00 |

57 | I don't have a recipe, just make it up as I go, but I do use an extra half packet of jelly in the mix, so it's nice and firm. I once tried choc instant pudding, when I was first experimenting, but found that it separates. A tub of the bought mousse that you buy and whip has proved the most successful. Top with whipped cream and grated choc and some more berries if you like. rarogal - 2015-10-23 20:46:00 |
58 | Thanks for that ...I've never bought mousse in my life, but am more than willing to, if it makes life easier when catering for a crowd! samanya - 2015-10-24 17:09:00 |
59 | My family don't eat trifle, I can't even tempt them, so I don't make it. I used to love my mothers sherry trifle, it was the best rainrain1 - 2015-10-24 17:37:00 |

70 | It's not exactly trifle and it's not exactly tiramisu, but I have a trifle/tiramisu-type recipe that I'd like to share with you. meoldchina - 2017-11-01 00:00:00 |

74 | I make a small one just for me as no-one else in my family like the texture of trifle. I use a gingerbread loaf, tinned pears and throw in some finely chopped crystalised ginger before piling on the custard and cream. Now I'm drooling at the thought of it. pauline999 - 2018-11-01 11:21:00 |
