How do YOU cook asparagus?

Cracked pepper, cracked salt, drizzle olive oil and straight on the barby for a few minutes of sizzling magic until it starts to 'char' with crunch, then piled high, fresh squeezed lemon juice straight from the tree. Great entrée, serve alongside BarbyQ chunks of chorizio.

Love asparagus, wish the season was all year round, I bring water to the boil in a pan with lemon juice, put in the asparagus until water just boils again, delicious, also amazing raw in a salad.

I wrap about 3-4 pieces in streaky bacon, bake in oven until bacon crisp. Serve with a touch of hollandaise sauce.

In an asparagus cooker, they are designed to cook the stems in boiling while the heads remain in the steam.
Bought one at an auction among other kitchen ware, didn't know what it was at first.
Use it each season
Just the straight taste of the plant, nothing fancy.

Very simply ... lay the asparagus in my microwave fish steamer, with a dash of water in the drip tray underneath, then zap for 2 minutes on high. Serve with cracked pepper and sometimes a wee dash of lemon juice, or white sauce. Very yummy and not overcooked.

cut in 3 oil garlic, pan fry some mince pork (a small handful) add asparagus quick fry add fish sauce (if too salty add water) add spring onions and serve. sometimes I add sweet chilli sauce instead of fish sauce is another way and let it caramelise.
