Twilight she thought your bag looked heaps better than mine lol
Hehe i sent her to her room but she has escaped, she will return, restricted license she has to be home by 10 haha

coalrange1 - 2009-10-28 20:28:00
914

coalrange... i'm married with 1.5 kids and still on restricted... whooops

liz_taylor - 2009-10-28 20:32:00
915

Maybe Liz if they didnt charge sooooo much money for the license maybe more people would get their full.
How you feeling today, little bit better i hope.

coalrange1 - 2009-10-28 20:46:00
916

it's not gonna cost me, i have a birthday card from my dad with "this can be used for payment of full licence test" just getting round to it

liz_taylor - 2009-10-28 20:48:00
917

Ahhh thats good, when one of my daughters was sitting her restricted she drove out in front of a truck !!!! truck had to hit brakes - guy doing test told her she was either very silly or very brave - was a shame cause she was just driving back to office having passed test. She then failed and had to resit. ooops, she learnt a good lesson !

coalrange1 - 2009-10-28 20:53:00
918

ugh, dont talk to me about restricted, failed 3 times, first was "poor clutch control" which turned out to be a fryed ignition lead (was running on 2 cylinders), seconds my dad had checked water etc in the car and forgot to put radiatior cap back on properly, car overheated. 3rd time i got the most anal instructor in chch. 4th i passed in the frost and with a crazy woman trying to kill me by aiming at me in reverse down a road

liz_taylor - 2009-10-28 21:25:00
919

hey coalrange did you send your daughter to her room because of bag lol

yes cindydog he is my baby sleeps on bed at nite lol

its $180 for full license, my son can do that in 4 months, dont know how we are going to pay for it lol, we didnt have to do all this in my time lol

twilight23 - 2009-10-28 21:55:00
920

Oh my gosh Liz, mmmm you would be in no hurry to get your full after all that whew !
My old neighbore shes in her 80's was telling me about her friend also in her 80's who had to resit her license because of her age. Anyway first time out the guy failed her he was just nasty, next time she got him too so they drove around, when she thought they were as far from his office as they would get she said oh i think ive got a puncture, he got out to look and she drove off and left him there haha she was so happy, she got her license in another town no trouble got it first time hehe brave lady lol

coalrange1 - 2009-10-29 17:18:00
928

hi coalrange yes the right foot which is my sewing foot but its all good i am on medication (anti inflamatories and slow release pain relief) but my mum has it in her feet, hands and spine, she was in hospital a while back, the pain was really bad in her spine, they wanted to work out her pain management, hopefully i wont need a knee replacment any time soon lol i try and keep active like walking the dog but i really need to lose more weight,

have you thought about selling your quilts, are there any outlets were you are or craft markets, i think all of us on here have a serious fabric problem lol

Awww Twilight your poor Mum how horrible for her, i hope yours never gets anything like hers.
Havent thought of selling quilts - not too bad yet, but may have to one day. Am snipping quilt, do you have good snippers ??? I got some really sharp self opening ones from the craft shop -'Fiscars' spring action, they are just over $40 but are fantastic.
Oh any spare weight you have send it to me i could use it - not joking - bit underweight here - i forget to eat !!!!

Edited by coalrange1 at 9:08 pm, Thu 29 Oct

coalrange1 - 2009-10-29 21:06:00
930

no dont have snippers just use my scissors, may have to look into getting a pair when i sell some quilts at the craft markets, you can have all the weight you want just let me know lol you must be to busy quilting lol, just as well you daughter comes and makes you brekkie and brunch

twilight23 - 2009-10-29 21:28:00
931

Yup it is just as well daughter comes hehe lol
These snippers make snipping a breeze, i was getting blisters using scissors. I lent them to Jules and she bought some - well worth the money.
All kids are really good cooks as is hubby, me its the one thing i cant stand doing, i was cooking something the other day (aha i do cook even tho i dont want to ) and son was here and he was busy telling me how to make it tastier :)

Oooh - my cutter arrived today, picked up mat on Wednesday. Hope my ruler and square arrive tomorrow. Am hoping to try them out on the weekend. Have some material that I've had since I was a teenager (long long time ago) that I'm going to practice on first. Can't wait.

juju40 - 2009-10-30 17:21:00
945

Hehe Juju "long long time ago" dont admit to anything :) haha at least you didnt call it vintage material lol i wonder how old material has to be to be called that ???
So good your stuffs coming together, ohhhh i hope the rest does arrive for the weekend. You could probably just use an ordinary plastic ruler in the mean time, i havent tried it but if you get desperate try it ;)
