| Perfect hearing whoop whoop. I am off to Rotorua tomorrow for the next Court Case and Ill be back Thursday night. I sent you two photos and if you would like them Ill post Friday. Edited by makerealbany at 11:35 pm, Mon 3 Sep makerealbany - 2018-09-03 23:34:00 |
| Yes I do like them and I am happy to pay for them plus postage. Let me know how much and your bank account details in an email. grizzly4 - 2018-09-04 06:34:00 |
| Fire alarm went off part way through seminar at local college yesterdasy so we lost about half an hour. Such a shame, she had some good theories to work on - most of which we practice already. LOL. We are making felt tote bags this morning at Women's Group, they are about the size of A4 paper but a cool shape. grizzly4 - 2018-09-05 06:28:00 |
| Hope everything is ok, makerealbany? Looks like you are getting some frightful weather up your way again. grizzly4 - 2018-09-06 06:48:00 |
| I was so concerned with you sending wool Imissed that you were going to be away. LOL. I hope you had a good trip. grizzly4 - 2018-09-07 06:23:00 |
| I'm back. Had a fabulous time with my sisters. Court Case was over in 30 mins woohoo. I had the 80th Birthday today and I had to babysit late last night. I have K 9 here as I brought him home from his Grandmothers Birthday. It has been hectic ha ha, I will send the wool on Monday as I have others to send then. I need to wind down again ha ha, makerealbany - 2018-09-08 22:54:00 |
| I'm glad your trip was less stressful than previous trips to court. I'm having a relatively lazy weekend. LOL. Getting things done but no stress if they don't. I'm not looking forward to this week. Late night working Monday, Tuesday working from home doing the prep meds for colonoscopy on Wednesday. As long as they goes ok I can then start looking forward to Celtic Illusion on Friday night. grizzly4 - 2018-09-09 09:26:00 |
| Early starts for me this week. I should be able to cope ha ha. Yah Celtic Illusion. Must admit I enjoyed the Birthday Party. I only had to ignore three people which was great. Funny thing though I wore my Egyptian Gold Necklace which is quite heavy and was very expensive. All the Women there admired it and My Daughter's MIL really liked it. I had to take it off so she could check it out ha ha, She told me it was beautiful. Told T it might not go back home with me. Well I was so surprized but then Gold Jewellery is very much admired in Indian Culture and the Women there know their Gold. T has her eyes on it now ha ha, R told her it would look stunning on a Sari. I have been winding wool and watching a movie. Time for bed now though lol. makerealbany - 2018-09-09 22:00:00 |
| Necklace sounds like it was a hit. Did you try sending me a photo yesterday when you were texting me? I don't have a smartphone so couldn't receive it. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-10 06:29:00 |
| oh Yes I did of the Courier tracking number lol Ill track it in a day or two. I got another Swift which worked fine for the first ball and then I had trouble. Ugh Ill get my son to check it out. I need to wind more balls for my Cardi. I got one to put on the table as the other one is back breaking grrr. makerealbany - 2018-09-10 22:34:00 |
| I used to knit for a woman who sold fairisle cardys in natural wool to tourists. The wool always came in hanks and needed winding. Hated the job. I. would do some of it for me, but it just got too much in the end. Wasn't paying me enough for the p[ain it was causing. LOL. At home today, dreading taking the meds this afternoon. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-11 10:00:00 |
| I hope your afternoon meds went ok. I have a 5 start tomorrow so guess what I will be doing soon ha ha zzzzzzz makerealbany - 2018-09-11 22:18:00 |
| My son is going to take my laptop and wipe it clean and start again because there is a jolly problem with it and also I do not have enough memory on it lol makerealbany - 2018-09-12 19:21:00 |
| OMG what will you do in the mean time? I was on such a high yesterday. LOL. I didn't realise how much the results of those tests were weighing me down. I was motivated yesterday afternoon to book the venue for my 60th in November, organise invitations, and find better accommodation when we are in Wellington next month. I also finished a dolls matinee jacket which seems to have taken ages to do (for no reason). Back to work today to catch up after 2 days away. I love the wool you sent, thank you so much. I've already planned a few wee projects with it. LOL. Edited by grizzly4 at 6:25 am, Thu 13 Sep grizzly4 - 2018-09-13 06:24:00 |
| You are on a roll now girl. Glad you can make use of the wool. I have decided Id much rather give it to someone I know and like ha ha, I have not knitted a thing today but I did wind more wool . Thank heavens tomorrow is Friday . I have to help someone out on Saturday but Sunday is mine ha ha. The is a Pop up Wool sale in Christchurch at the Woolston Community Centre Ferry Road from 10 to 3, Julie Keegan drives all over NZ selling Fantastic Wool from NZ Indie Dyers. Shes a lovely girl. I missed the Auckland one but Ill catch her next time. Pop over and say Hi to Julie if you are not far away. You will love the selection and Colours. makerealbany - 2018-09-13 22:35:00 |
| Haha the Community Centre is across from where I work! I haven't seen anything advertised at all which is typical of the how the Centre operates unfortunately. Is the POp Up sale on Saturday? grizzly4 - 2018-09-14 06:25:00 |
| 0mg I didn't check the date yours was on last Sat on the 8th, Dash it makerealbany - 2018-09-15 00:57:00 |
| Your last message was very visual. LOL! I mentioned it to the ladies at the craft group yesterday and they said they hadn't heard what was on at the centre but there were loads of people going in last weekend. So it sounds like it went well for her. grizzly4 - 2018-09-15 09:21:00 |
| Yes watching their feet is the best part. Some venues up here are not so good either. I left home early yesterday and spent the day in the city with my son going to the laundry mart and shopping etc. Throw some cleaning in there as well lol. Got home at 10 last night. Had a shower knitted three rounds of a milo and fell into bed. My old dog has got into the habit of barking to wake me up at 5,30 if I am not already up sigh. I cannot go back to bed and sleep after I let him out to run in the paddock. I'm going to Spotlight to watch a sewing expert this afternoon. makerealbany - 2018-09-16 07:25:00 |
| That sounds interesting for this afternoon. We are in the garden this morning and have a few errands to run later but that's all that's planned. Maybe read my book and/or knitting more dolls clothes. grizzly4 - 2018-09-16 09:19:00 |
| Feels a bit odd just having a 'normal' week ahead. LOL. No appointments etc. grizzly4 - 2018-09-17 06:18:00 |
| I Have really early starts all this week sigh. I took the dogs to get groomed and this time it cost 130 for the two of them. Thank heaven my dog is a Foxy so I don't have to get his coat cut . Road works were annoying and I wasted an hour and 15 mins passing through 4 times . No knitting for me tonight . Just too tired and guess what ? Shingles vaccine did not work for me. makerealbany - 2018-09-17 23:05:00 |
| That's not good about the vaccine!!!! And it's expensive, too, isn't it, wirth no guarantees by the looks of it. And no time to rest and look after yourself at present. I am runnin g around trying to organise a plumber, a painter and some donated paint at work at present. Completely out of my comfort zone. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-18 06:24:00 |
| Yes it is expensive but I'm on the free list. Thank goodness. I don't envy you organizing that lol, makerealbany - 2018-09-18 22:47:00 |
| I so wish there were a couple of DIY type blokes on our Board. LOL. But our one male has different strengths. Ha Ha. The shop is a bit slow at present and I haven't sold much this month so I'm not feeling very motivated. I should still be knitting baby stuff but jumped to dolls clothes a bit early for the Christmas rush. That will teach me. grizzly4 - 2018-09-19 06:12:00 |
| There are lots of DIY blokes in our family and they all disagree with methodology, tools required etc etc. Lol. I think all shops are slowing down. Everywhere I go seems to be nearly empty apart from the garage and the Supermarkets. I had to fill my daughters car up and it is normally 135 today was 158. Not good, I'm knitting a second milo . I also when I have spare time am enrolled in an online weaving course. On the third lesson and loving it ha ha. makerealbany - 2018-09-19 18:54:00 |
| You are definitely motivated! Check out Woolston Development Project on Facebook to see what the Women's group did yesterday. They were very pleased with themselves. Wasn't a difficult project but very satisfying results. LOL. And still I am on the same dolls coat I started on Sunday. I am 3/4 through the book I started in the weekend though. The Powerfit 'shaky, shaky' thing from the TV shop arrived yesterday so we were playing for quite a while with it last night. That's going to be a bit of a laugh, I reckon. grizzly4 - 2018-09-20 06:16:00 |
| T is overseas at a Conference. She and her team are all keynote speakers. I have K9 with me. He was vomiting all day sigh. Much better tonight thank goodness. I have an early start so no knitting for me. 3 children to get to school in the morning. makerealbany - 2018-09-20 23:26:00 |
| Such bad luck when they get sick whikle staying with you! Luckily I'm more motivated at work at present as I can't believe how little knitting I'm getting done. I just have the collar to do on the wee coat now. grizzly4 - 2018-09-21 06:14:00 |
| Yippee! Dolls coat finished and one dolls bootee done. It's a miracle! grizzly4 - 2018-09-22 08:55:00 |
| Ha ha I had to laugh at your last post. M10 is competing in a gymnastics Competition tomorrow and she has to be there at 7 so another early start sigh. Then after that finishes I am picking up E6 for lunch and then taking K 8 to pick up his Mum at the Airport so busy day. I did some work on my blanket tonight until I was tired of crochet and then I did a couple of inches on a Milo. makerealbany - 2018-09-22 22:29:00 |
| I've started a baby cardy with lace panels. Hopefully it'll prove more interesting. And yes the second bootee is finished. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-23 09:41:00 |
| I was tired tonight and tried to knit but made so many mistakes I had to undo it all so I threw it in the naughty corner ha ha. My son's ex Partner gave me a bag of clothes hat E had grown out of. There were some lovely dresses that we had bought for her plus some that M had grown out of. She had not worn some. Labels still on sigh. Some people have very different tastes, Never mind Ill give them to my great nieces for their girls. I felt a tad sad as E had asked me to buy her one particular dress and she never got to wear it. Ill keep three that she still too small for her and she can wear them when she is here ha ha. I'm off to bed as J7 has the bug now so he will be staying at home tomorrow. makerealbany - 2018-09-23 22:40:00 |
| Yuck to those sorts of bugs. Don't you go catching it! It was a good weekend here, even started a bit of spring cleaning. Washed the ironing board cover and the foam disintegrated asll through the washing machine. Grrr. Good excuse to buy a fresh new one though. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-24 06:10:00 |
| Oh begger I did that with curtains in my grandson's flat grrr. Landlord wanted to charge him for new ones as he was leaving. Was only there for 6 months. Tenancy Tribunal just laughed at him. Carpet cleaning was also a no go as we had taken photos and the carpet was cleaner than when he moved in ha ha. J seemed better today no vomiting. He and M are in their school play tomorrow night so he is stressing because he does not want to miss it. makerealbany - 2018-09-24 21:31:00 |
| There seems to be quite a few bugs around at present. I hope their play goes well tonight. I'm doping a Stress Seminar this afternoon which is part of some research being undertaken by University of Canterbury. I've already completed one questionnaire and now 3 hours today plus 2 more questionnaires over next 3 months. I hope it all provides a miracle cure. LOL.. grizzly4 - 2018-09-25 06:08:00 |
| Great Play. So much fun. K was rolling in his seat watching his cousins. I have been trying for 30 minutes to register my new PaknSave Christmas Club Card as the old one wont scan anymore. I will be ringing tomorrow. Its absolutely hopeless. Keeps asking for me to repeat things and then it automatically changes my date of birth. Yes I wish I had been born in 1983 ha ha. Whats this doping business ? I cant work it out. makerealbany - 2018-09-25 22:42:00 |
| Typo, sorry. LOl. I was 'doing' a seminar yesterday. It was quite good with some strategies for managing the specific emotions I feel when stressed about particular things, like declined funding applications. grizzly4 - 2018-09-26 06:24:00 |
| Omg not the School Holidays ugh ha ha. I went to the play again this afternoon with one of my sons. He enjoyed it and the children were glad he was there. Apart from the male teachers he was the only other man there. A got back from her work away tonight. I managed to get my cottage clean again. In this weather everything seems so dusty. Wish I had a Women's Group like that up here. It would be fun. How old are these Women in your Group? makerealbany - 2018-09-26 22:52:00 |
| Age range is abot 40- 85 at present. Younger ones come now and then but don't get involved as much. It was a lovely outing with beautiful scones and jam. LOL. Once I was back in the office though the day went down hill from there. Sigh. Businesses I have contacted to do some work haven't followed through on promises, difficult conversations with staff, a nasty headache, texts to say one friend's husband is in hospice care at present and my other friend's time has been reduced to 3 months now. Came home to go out for dinner with daughter S and B9 to have her venting the whole time about her partner and that her benign tumours can't be removed now because her blood pressure is to low. Her beautiful cat has also been missing for 5 days so we are all upset about that. He was the only surviving kitten in a sack thrown in the river 7 months ago. Trouble is, he is so friendly he may followed someone who made a fuss of him. grizzly4 - 2018-09-27 06:30:00 |
| Lord what a day you had. Its sad when pets go missing. Real wide age range you have there. I did 4 hours work on my Maori Land research today and then had two long conversations with my sisters about things I had found out. Completed one lesson on my online course and lazed the rest of the day ha ha. makerealbany - 2018-09-27 23:47:00 |
| Much better day yesterday, I tried hard to put the strategies learned on Tuesday for regulating emotions into place. LOL. I dealt to those businesses that had not followed through plus another of our major funders came through with a bit more this year. Phew! Today I get 2 hours of cross stitch around lunch time.i. is racing this weekend if the weather stasys fun for Sunday. I really worry about him now and not sure whether it's easier going with him or worrying at home where at least I can keep busy. grizzly4 - 2018-09-28 06:28:00 |
| Yay, I. has decided not to race this weekend. Phew. The track was over an hour away and he wants to save hios money for our weekend in Wellington. Now I can relax for the weekend, too. LOL. grizzly4 - 2018-09-29 10:15:00 |
| How are you you, makerealbany? I hope you haven't come down with what the kids had or are you out having fun? grizzly4 - 2018-09-30 11:17:00 |
| No I am not having fun ha ha. I have been so busy the last three days I seem to fall asleep in my chair and crawl into bed at midnight, Life is hectic at the moment but tomorrow will be more restful ha ha. M is off to a school holiday programme and her Mum and brother are away for a few days. We have a Community Garage Sale on in a fortnight so M10 and I have been packing and pricing stuff. Today we had to wash all the dolls and their clothes she is selling, Price the books and games and we have not sorted the clothes yet. My lounge is full of boxes and containers once again sigh. I sent my Hurricane Victim her parcel of wool on Friday and even though it cost me $26 I was happy to get it sent. How awful to lose everything. She and her husband live in a small place with only a little general store that didn't have even a crochet Hook never mind wool. I can understand your concern over I and his racing. I started another Milo tonight. I'm getting a stash of them for the Local Charity. Well I'm knackered so its bed for me. makerealbany - 2018-09-30 23:03:00 |
| Did you get a payment from me for posting that wool? I tried to check online to see if I had paid it but can't find anything. grizzly4 - 2018-10-01 06:01:00 |
| Yes I did thanks so much. I thought I had told you dash. I have got half way through the Milo so know the pattern off by heart now. Makes it easier and faster. I have to go for my check up tomorrow and blood tests. Got a call from the surgery to remind me ha ha. I always leave it until the last minute. Its a bit cool here tonight after a reasonable day. makerealbany - 2018-10-01 21:44:00 |
| I had to work on the programme yesterday with 2 staff away sick. Wasn't a bad day just tiring, I slept well last night. LOL. I am worling on a layette for a doll to be included in the Christmas raffle at work ans I have a Teddy I'm going to make pyjamas for as well. I tried to get a scooter donated as first prize but that didn't happen unfortunately so I'm going to have to get creative somehow. grizzly4 - 2018-10-02 06:03:00 |
| I finished that pink Milo and started a blue one tonight. I'm still doing a few rows on my crocheted blanket but my darn hand is still healing so crocheting hurts. Little circulars and Milos are easier lol. Was tired after the annual tests today so slept this afternoon. makerealbany - 2018-10-03 00:41:00 |
| Actually managed to do some gardening today. Not too hot but comfortable out there. Also sorting things for Garage sale, The more I sort the more I find things ha ha. makerealbany - 2018-10-03 23:52:00 |
