Wet today so gardening out. Will see if daughter S turns and might get to go out for coffee LOL. Otherwise will be a knitting day. I've done the back and 2 fronts of fairisle cardy and 15 rounds of 40 round blanket. PLenty for me to do. I hope you are ok and just busy with your visitors.

Visitors gone now. Had a great visit but so busy with two 5,30 starts for me. Just came home from Avengers Movie, Tomorrow I have early shopping to do and then I'm busy cleaning up. Couldn't get it done today. Had firewood to do with my son before the movie. I am nearly finished the 2nd Milo and baby was born on Friday on her Mother's Birthday. How cool it that ha ha.

I hope Mum and Bubs are doing ok. Fancy sharing a birthday! LOL. Raining again today. Sigh.

Yes they are fine. I know my daughter was two days after my daughter and mt granddaughter the day. Mum had three of us in August; Yes it has been raining here as well. On the last milo now,

makerealbany - 2018-06-04 00:15:00
8505

Well done you! I had both my children in August as well. LOL. Still raining so no racing for I. thank goodness. I couldn't handle the cold last winter but thought it was because I wasn't well but it's worse this year so must be an age thing. LOL. I'm wearing 3-4 layers of clothes every day at present and if the bad weather lasts I hate to think what our power bill will be like this month with me at home this week. All my knitting money will be going on power.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-04 09:37:00
8506

Looks like the rain may hold off a bit today so I can tidy up outside a bit. Going to visit wool shops today too, not that I need to... LOL.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-05 09:42:00
8507

Its a fun thing to do though visiting the woo lshops ha ha. I finished that milo and have done half of no 4. Getting the knack of it now ha ha. A is away tomorrow for the night in Wellington so babysitting in the main house. My son and I bought a Caravan on TM. its a 6 berth and we will find a permanent site for it up at Mangawai which is a beach about an hour 15 mins away from here. Then when we have it sorted I can run away for weekends ha ha,

makerealbany - 2018-06-06 00:06:00
8508

Sounds like a great idea - 6 berth so I'm guessing yoiu will take kids with you. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-06 09:44:00
8509

I have finished the cardy and half way through the end of month stuff for the shop. I have 6 more rounds to do on the blanket and I'd like to get some towel sets done before the weekend. My holiday feels like it's flying by.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-07 08:47:00
8510

I sent you a photo of the 4 milos. Just started another set for my other great great niece lol. I like doing smaller things I have decided ha ha. Doing end of month stuff for the shop is not being on holiday. Yes at times I will take the kids ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-08 00:56:00
8511

I agree about the shop stuff. Bad timing really, I didn't think about it. It will be interesting to see how much time out you get in the caravan. LOL. Having my haircut this morning, I hope she does a better job than last time, it's been driving me nuts.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-08 08:38:00
8512

I'm glad this week is over. Even though it was a short one I am so tired. Antibiotics again as my Immune Disorder flared up into a nasty virus grrrr. Knitting is keeping me sane ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-08 23:48:00
8513

Haircut tick. Finished blanket tick. Finished 2 sets of wee cabled boots tick. LOL. And my week is over sigh. I could rteally get into retirement I reckon. I was busy every day and didn't fall asleep every time I sat down thank goodness. The first time in nearly 2 years I have had time off and that hasn't hapened.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-09 10:30:00
8514

Speaking of falling asleep I did this afternoon ha ha, Decided I didn't like the colourway of this milo so I frogged it and started a different one. I have heaps of paperwork but it can wait until Monday. I am taking 4 grandchildren to the movies tomorrow and have to pick up E at 9,45 so its bed for me.

makerealbany - 2018-06-09 23:36:00
8515

We are off to Ashburton this morning for Ian to race. I find I am getting more anxious each timer in case he has an accident. Sigh. It's a lovely morning here this morning so I hope the rain holds off until tonight.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-10 08:40:00
8516

Hope the racing went well. I took 4 of my grandchildren out to the movies and we had lunch afterwards. Came home and slept ha ha. They were very well behaved and we had fun. this new milo is growing well. The others are not quite dry yet to post, Wool takes a while to dry in this weather when it is being blocked sigh. Found some lovely colours in my stash for more milos ha ha,

makerealbany - 2018-06-10 23:38:00
8517

Yeaterday was a good day out with 2 5th placesand a 3rd. Not bad for the oldest member of the club LOL. We both enjoy his racing speedway events rather than cross country, I think. I am back to work today after a great week off.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-11 06:28:00
8518

Well done I. I did some paperwork today and then knitted . Lousy day outside so best place to be was inside, Had the children after school. Bathed and fed them and the they went home. Need to book a haircut myself. Feeling rather decrepit ha ha,

makerealbany - 2018-06-12 00:07:00
8519

Decrepit not a good way to feel. Maybe you need that holiday sooner than later. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-12 06:40:00
8520

My daughter wants to go to Samoa for her 50th so all of the girls are thinking of going. I need to renew my passport lol. On my 6th Milo now.

makerealbany - 2018-06-12 23:24:00
8521

Luicky babies with those lovely Milos. Well done you. So when would that trip be?

grizzly4 - 2018-06-13 06:34:00
8522

T's Birthday is August so no idea ha ha. Our Caravan arrived today and it is really nice. Great heating, double glazed, flyscreens, full size stove, bathroom and the end where it can convert to two bunk beds and two singles has a sliding door to partion off. I'm really pleased with it. My youngest son is sleeping in there tonight to test it ha ha.
M10 and J 7 think its fab. They wanted to try it out.

makerealbany - 2018-06-13 23:44:00
8523

Sounds very exciting. Do you have to do any work to it it before your first trip?

grizzly4 - 2018-06-14 06:42:00
8524

No its all ready to go. Perfection. Curtains and blinds are pristine, Stove has not been used much at all and the fridge even has an icebox. Lots of storage inside and out.
I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday lol. It has been a really busy week. I have to go to the bank tomorrow as they did not enter the Mandate for the Trust so I have to take all the papers in. Its crazy. They have our IRD Number which was on the Mandate so what did they do with the paperwork. Honestly so much mucking around with inefficient staff. I am really annoyed,

makerealbany - 2018-06-14 23:06:00
8525

Thats what constantly blows me away, too. When I think of the hoops I have to jump through in regards to accountability for absolutely everything at work, I find businesses and government agencies I deal with really slack in their process and procedure. I.'s new job is a prime example with him being employed through a recruiting agency initially but they agreed to put him on permanent staff and were to get back to him....that was a month ago and he hasn't heard anything from agency or the company itself. Meanwhile I'm trying to save extra from his pay each week to cover a Christmas break when the company closes and he won't have any leave accrued being on a casual agreement.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-15 06:52:00
8526

Ian racing today and flag marshalling at other racing tomorrow. I have today to myself but so many things I want to get done. LOL. Tomorrow I have B10 and L11 spending the day with me.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-16 09:08:00
8527

Well Friday was a waste of time at the bank. I have to go back on Monday because the Expert in such legal matters was not there and the guy was out of his depth grrrr
I finished the 2nd Milo for L and am now on the third. We are all going to a movie at 10,30 tomorrow and after that I have parcels and Documents to post.

makerealbany - 2018-06-17 00:12:00
8528

So much for Sunday being day of rest! LOL. I did most of my jobs yesterday even some gardening, which felt wonderful. The garden has been so neglected. L11 is just on his way in the door now for the day and B10 will be here by lunch time.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-17 07:09:00
8529

Enjoyed the movie and lunch afterwards with my family. Then I ran away to shop and sort out my post .ha ha, I had a nice day. Haven't even looked at my gardens either mmm , Got stuck on a new cable I was trying out on the last Milo. Sorted now at last. Sometimes its just a matter of adding a row when you should not.

makerealbany - 2018-06-17 23:30:00
8530

Dodgy pattern if you are having to resort to adding rows to make it work. LOL.I had a pleasant day with the boys yesterday and managed to finish a few jerseys for wee Teddys. I've started a matinee jacket pattern I haven't done for a while. Biggest issue was getting I.to shorten myy favourite pair of needles because they were impossible to use in the new recliner chairs!

grizzly4 - 2018-06-18 06:29:00
8531

OMG having to shorten your needles because of the chairs ha ha. Well after an hour I was asked to supply even more documentation from the bank. So left there all cranky. Went to get the groceries and got home exhausted. My son took them out of the car for me and put everything away and I had a nap. Finished the Milo so Ill just knit a hairband to go with it and then wash them all.

makerealbany - 2018-06-19 00:20:00
8532

That bank sounds very frustrating! I left my knitting pattern at the shop yesterday so have to race over to pick it up at some point today. Got home late last night to finally knit and couldn't. That is also very frustrating.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-19 10:21:00
8533

Finished the hairband and then mucked around looking through patterns. Achieved absolutely nothing. My son's mate has just had a baby boy so I have to make something for him mmmm Babies everywhere ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-19 21:57:00
8534

None around here except the ones that come into the shop. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-20 06:36:00
8535

Its been raining here all day so tanks are overflowing into the paddock. Finally got my haircut today and posted another parcel. Wound some wool tonight and started a Milo for the wee boy. I'm quite good at them now ha ha. Got the pattern etched into my memory after making so many. When I think of the difficulty in getting my head around the pattern for the first one I now wonder why ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-20 23:50:00
8536

I know what you mean. The matinee jacket I'm working on has panels of different patterns and I've struggled with it in the past but this time just seems easy. LOL. And the shortened needles are wonderful - seem more balanced or something. Was up at 4 this morning to take I's car in for a service and get him to work. Will do the reverse organising tonight. Have a morning at Polytech on leadership course but I'm in 2 minds whether to continue as I'm really not sure what I'm getting out of it. I have more than enough work that needs doing without sitting there for 3 hours. Not sure what to do - then I have meetings through to 5.30 when I. finishes.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-21 06:43:00
8537

Didn't go to training, next meeting was cancelled and I couldn;t get to last meeting as car was ready to pick up. On the up side I was able to get all the final plans in place for the holiday programme, being in my office all day.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-22 06:34:00
8538

I have found myself in the middle of projects and nothing close enough to finish for Monday at the shop. LOL. Lovely and sunny here this morning but bitterly cold. I would like to finish the garden I started cleaning out last week but it gets no sun in that corner at all. Brrrr...

grizzly4 - 2018-06-23 10:04:00
8539

Everything ok, makerealbany?

grizzly4 - 2018-06-24 09:52:00
8540

I'm ok. Had sick children to look after and got a bug from them ugh. Poor A got their sore throat as well. I got the sore throat but avoided their cough. My son who is living here got the cough and has been really ill. Sil is now home and he will most likely get it as well. On the plus side I have the Beanie and Matching Milo done for the latest little boy and have started another set. Its raining again so ducking in and out of the rain is fun ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-25 00:02:00
8541

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well. Nothing worse than looking after others when you are not well either. We had a pleasant weekend getting some little jobs done that kept moving to the end of the list. After all we went through with painters here a couple of months back doing the bathroom ceiling we have now noticed it is bubbled again in the shower unit! Grrr. I air the house out before I go to work each morning and windows are always open during the weekend so beats me what's causing it. We had no problems the first few years we were here.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-25 06:17:00
8542

Maybe there is a leak in the ceiling somewhere. What a pain. I'm sick of the rain. Everything is wet and awful sigh. I'm warm and dry inside so luckier than a lot of others. I hate the thought of homeless people out in this weather. The numbers seem to be increasing every day its dreadful.

makerealbany - 2018-06-26 00:39:00
8543

Things certainly don't seem to be getting easier for people thats for sure. I find these threatened pay disputes upsetting, too. I understand where they are coming from but compared to those working in other places for minimum wage?...... Actually they should try working in the non-profit sector perhaps, similar qualifications same amount of work but no corporate salaries for us. Sigh. I am so grateful I can pay my bills without worrying, I wouldn't like to have dependants these days.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-26 06:40:00
8544

My Mum goes into hospital this morning for 4-5 days of tests apparently. Really worried about her and about Dad being at home without her. I hope Nurse Maude steps up the visits for him and the Retirement Village checks on him, too. I will ring him tonight and then decide whether I should go up.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-26 06:43:00
8545

Mum was delivered home by ambulance yesterday afternoon much to everyone's delight. She had undergone 8 hours of tests and was exhausted but very pleased to be home especially as they allowed her to ride up front in the ambulance. LOL. She has nodules in her lungs caused by the meds she is on so specialists are now consulting about a new plan (again) which usually means new side effects. Grr. They were so stressed being told she would be in hospital for days. So un-necessary.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-27 06:38:00
8546

I guess your internet is still out, makerealbany. It must be driving you nuts, LOL. Hopefully you are getting lots of knitting done instead of reading messages from me.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-28 06:39:00
8547

Transformer was hit by lightening. Some neighbours still offline grrr. Gosh your poor parents. Hope your Mum has a better plan with less side effects. Its so hard for you with your parents being so far away. I knew that feeling.
Yes I have finished 2 little sets and will send you a picture. M10 picked up a Spotlight newsletter and so off to Spotlight we went. She got 8 balls of those of Caron Cupcakes. They have a pompom on them so I used one for a Milo and Beanie. I have nearly finished her Beanie and she wants one for E6. The others are spares ha ha. She had won a prize with a voucher for Spotlight. She also bought a wooden size that says CREATE on it. She has already painted it and her father hung it on her wall. That was 40% off. The Caron Cupcakes were reduced to $5 each so she is a good buyer ha ha. Wonder who she takes after. The cold is not good for arthritis and T is really feeling it. OMG look at that time again. I must drop into bed.

makerealbany - 2018-06-29 00:45:00
8548

OMG look at the time, is right. I don't know how you maintain those hours when you are so busy. 10.30 is usually as long as we last and the nights tv isn't great it's 9.30. LOL. I finished another blanket yesterday and a matinee jacket - but I have been working on them for 2 weeks.

grizzly4 - 2018-06-29 06:37:00
8549

Late again sigh. I was finishing M's Beanie with the Cupcake wool and the time just flew ha ha. I'm going to sleep in tomorrow. I found a nice blanket pattern to crochet I want to try and a new Bolero, etc, etc ha ha.

makerealbany - 2018-06-30 00:36:00
8550

I've slept in! Was so stressed yesterday after finding out the approved funding that was supposed to be in our asccount this week ready for the holiday programme costs is going to be delayed by 2 months!!!!! My brain is working overtime to come up with solutions. I thought it was too easy this year.....
