I finished the cardy and a pair of bootees as hoped. I'm fine aghaion today so looks like it's just part of the recovery process. Sigh. No-one visiting today so no large amounts of cooking to be done Hooray. And it's fine so I might get a bit done in the garden. Hope you are ok?

I got myself an absolute Bargain today for $10 A Fox Craft Bag on wheels. Its huge in great condition. I can fir all my needles including circulars in the compartments. Needle to sew up and stitchmarkers. wool for current projects, Patterns, etc. Its so great. I thought of buying one but at over 100 I couldn't justify it ha ha. I couldn't believe how big it is when I picked it up. I could even put my clothes in there ha ha. Cut up the pumpkin and oranges for relish. I have the oranges and carrots all mushed up for Marmalade so tomorrow I have Relish and Marmalade to make as well as Beetroot relish so will be busy . I planted out some more Oriental Lillies I bought out of my Birthday Loot and I also got lots of Tulip bulbs for 49c a packet, I have them in pots until the summer, My Tulips are just starting to flower but the snails have been feeding so I have to get slug and snail bait.

It seems the message I posted yesterday didn't go through properly! Oh well. It was a good weekend, very peaceful with no-one else here. Too wet for gardening yesterday so did some window shopping and spent the afternoon knitting. Finished a dolls dress and kniteed back and half a front for a crossover cardy.Doing it in a variegated sock wool called Gallipoli, It's earthy tones of cream and different shades of brown. Quite effective.

Finished all the preserves. I spent most of the day on them. Realised at 3 that I had not eaten a bite all day or sat down. Sometimes you get carried away doing things.
I am on that last ball for that Alpaca Shawl. It is so lovely and soft as well as warm I am going to keep it ha ha. My sister loves her black shawl. She had a shawl my grandmother crocheted about 100 years ago. What a treasure. She has it safely wrapped up in Tissue paper and wants me to help her work out the pattern. When I am down there next I will take a photo and get some help from my buddies who crochet as I cannot work it all out.
My sister got the shawl and I got the 120 year old green glass and decanter set. It has 9 carat gold around the base and tops. Very elegant but Id rather have the shawl ha ha. My sister does not knit or crochet but is a fabulous weaver.
I love sock wool. I have a stash of it. I have some charity knitting to do but it can wait until this shawl is finished. I do not want knittingUFOS laying around ha ha. I have enough sewing and quilting ones.

I.'s car blew up on the way home from work last night. Can you believe it?!!!! He's had it 6 months next week so we are hoping it will be covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act or the insurance policy he toook out for mechanical breakdowns. It all depends whether they put it down as wear and tear then nothing covers us. Sigh. It will be just our luck. This is the 3rd car in 18 months he has had problems with. Grrr. Meanwhile I'm back to taking him to work and picking up after. Do you have your car back, yet?

All the extra driving took it's toll yesterday, I think. Had McDonald's on the way home for tea so didn't have to cook but fell asleep for an hour and a half as soon as I got home. LOL. I am on the last sleeve of the crossover cardy, it's knitted up so fast. Great pattern. And I think I will get it out of the 1 x 100g ball. Yahoo. Off to the Museum today with the Women's Group so should be very plerasant morning. (If they behave). LOL.

You should have priority on your computer. No one was allowed access to mine at work. I had it password locked. I guess because I did all the Financials and really Sensitive stuff like PGCs . Didn't really want just anyone looking at it lol. It must be really frustrating to have to share a computer at work.
I had to go to the Airport to pick up my SIL's Mum today. The kids are happy they had both Nana and Grandma picking them up from school.
I also have K8 for the night so I have to drive up to the beach in the morning to drop him at school. He was coughing up a storm for an hour or so but is asleep and no coughing. Thank goodness ha ha.

THis worker has her computer in her own office but won't download a programme on to it so she can update the spreadsheets she does for me. Sigh. I wish they would all listen to my suggestions rather than me having to put my Manager's foot down and be directive. I'm always up for discussion about my suggestions but when they ignore the whole subject, that's when I get brassed off.
I's car is back - it was a split radiator tank so was covered by the breakdown insurance policy. However, the policy states a service is required as well so that and the excess cost us $426! At least it only took a couple of days, heaven forbid he wouldn't be able to race this weekend.
I finished the cardy and a wee beanie to match out of one 100g ball. Pretty impressive value. Not that I can remember what I paid for it but it would have been in a sale, knowing me. LOL. I bought some dahlia tubers on TM so hopefully will be back in the garden this weekend.

My fingers are splitting again so taking it easy craftwise. I detest wearing plasters and the wool keeps getting caught. as you no doubt know. Naughty Teddy jumped up on my chair and grabbed my shawl. I had to undo a whole 7 rows to get it sorted so not finished yet.. I had just bathed him. Luckily I dry him with the hair dryer so he wasn't wet at the time. I was cleaning the bathroom, came out and he dashed off my chair. Guilty ratbag ha ha.

No work as our organisation is closed today to the local school being closed. Yippee! I slept all the way through to 10am! Gave myself suich a fright when I checked the clock. I'm really not sure what's going on healrth wise at present. Sigh and no future appointments to check in with anyone either. I know my arthritiis and asthma always kick in this time of the year but this overwhelming tiredness is a worry.(and a nuisance).
We had a lovely tea with S and B9 last night and I had a wonderful lunch with the Women's Group at Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant in Lyttelton. Not one complaint from 18 women -that's huge from some of these women. LOL. I only got half a sleeve done on the cardy last night but I guess I will be knitting today. LOL. or cross stitch or reading. LOL.

I am working on a matinee jacket that is knitted all in one to the yoke. 195 stitches on at present. Doesn't seem to be growing very fast. Had to do sleeves first so at least they are done.

So much for resting! Locum was amazing at the doctor's yesterday, there was a request from the surgeon for blood tests when I went to GP next so they did all those plus one regarding the blood clot. By the time I got to work for an all day meeting with MSD I had an appointment for 5pm for and ultrasound. I had to go to the 24 hour surgery and wait an hour for the results. My back was killing me sitting on their chairs for that time Good news is that it's a superficial clot not deep vein so no treatment. But everytime this happens I will have to go through the same process. Sigh. Still I am very happy that we changed GP.

No headaches although still coughing. Took it easy today as A worked from home. I slept all afternoon laying on my bed with the sun streaming in the windows.

Just got my internet fixed again. Storms up here are playing havoc with the lines. I finished my hat and am going to wear it to the Supermarket as it is so cold. Hail storms, lightening brrrr. Kids couldn't amuse themselves with anything related to the internet this weekend but managed to amuse themselves collecting hailstones ha ha.
Ive got deepheat on my back and I don't care if I smell like a Locker room at lest its soothing my back. Everyone is feeling aches and pains because of the weather. It must be okj down there at the moment if they are racing.

Winding hanks are my worst nightmare!!! LOL. I've eneded up doing a repeat order for a child's jersey I've already done twice before for this family. Started it yesterday as shop was so quiet, it's knittted in one piece starting at front edge so I've got to the split in the neck. All the stitches for sleeves are on needle as weel now. Not a bad pattern but just a bit boring all in stocking stitch. I came home after the shop because I. was home. My Supervisor thinks I might be a bit depressed which made me angry at the time but who knows. I am just over having to go into work dealing with the same problems and tired off my family not getting on. It's never been like this before.

Hugs my friend. Sometimes life sucks. Its feels like you are a mouse on a wheel at times. Round and round sigh.
I dropped my glasses, tried to pick them up and then staggered a bit and stood on them grrr. So I need to take them in for repairs. I'm trying to stay at home until Thursday as A is off to Wellington again and I will be busy with the kids until Friday after I drop them at school.
I dropped them off this morning, went to the PO to post parcels and then browsed the shops, spending more of my Birthday Loot.
Heavens Farmers has changed, I'm not liking the new look. I went to Stevens to try and get some weights for my Sauerkraut. I'm experimenting making my own Probiotics ha ha, Its so expensive to buy so I'm going natural. Anyway all they had was ceramic beads in a container. You can use those to bake pies blind. I tried them as weights and they work fine.
I was going to try a different Beanie Pattern I bought but was too tired ha ha. Just sat in my chair and lazed. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Sounds like you had a nice day. Good for you. Feeling a bit fragile but had my hair done then got through the rest of the day at work. The wee jersey is half done, too, thank goodness. Have someone coming in to do floral arranging with women's group today - haven't done that for ages. The swimsuit I bought on TM after being so frustrated with what's in the shops turned out out real well. Brand new, complete with tags. Original price $149 and I got them for $25!!!! Amazing, eh? I am rapt and they fit! Even better! LOL. I haven't been swimming for years so this is my new project.

Wow that was a bargain and a real bonus that it fits, I know mine wont unless I lose a few pounds ha ha, Steroids ,etc are awful. I feel so darn bloated half the time but finished the second lot thank heavens. Now maybe my stomach will settle down. Feeling yukky all day is horrible as you know. Another easy day for me I even managed to weed a garden and hose down my paths.
