You've made your Christmas presents last well. LOL. Flu Vac isn't available here yet. I was told by new doctor's surgery to ask again after 1st April. The we jacket is all finished, complete with buttons. Started beanie but had an early night as well. Yesterday morning I was up at 5.30 as usual, showered, dressed, had breakfast, did dishes, laundry done but still too dark to hang it out so I had a 'rest' in my armchair. LOL An hour and a quarter later I woke up!!! Luckily it was still only 8.15am so wasn't late for anything. It's getting to the point where I have to set an alarm everytime I sit down.

Beanie and one matching bootee done. LOL. This morning I have to juggle cooking for family and housework between naps.

Ive got J6 for the night. A took J13 and M9 with some friends to the Justine Bieber Concert. Yesterday getting J up in the bus from Hamilton was a nightmare. Bus was delayed by an hpur and a half. I picked him up at 9 oclock. They are having a ball by the photos lol. I knitted 8 points on my red shawl tonight after feeling really seedy all day. I didn't do a thing but doze on and off in my chair. Flu shot knocked me and my sister about. Ah well better than getting the Flu ha ha, You do need to rest more and dozing is good ha ha.

Does the flu shot normally affect you like that? I usually get a sore arm but no other side effects, so I hope it's no different this year. Can't cope with anything else making me feel yuck. I was really hoping to get into the garden today but woke up at 9.30!!! I. going out with son S at 12 so not holding out much hope. Daughter S also wants to go out for coffee so weeding is decreasing by the minute. LOL. Maybe I need to find a gardener for a while. Complete matinee set is finished and I'm working on wee jerseys for some bunny soft toys I'm putting in shop for Easter. They've proven quite popular so far.

7805

I love the photos of your shawl you sent through! Beautiful colour as well. I get to choose a new project today but first I have to get through a day at the shop and at work. Really just want to go back to bed and sleep. LOL. We actually managed a bit of gardening yesterday but I cancelled the coffee as I wasn't feeling the best by lunch time. Sigh.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-20 06:58:00
7806

Those wee jerseys of yours are so cute, Mags has gone off dolls sigh. E5 is not quite there yet ha ha. I'm half way through my shawl. It certainly is faster than the 4ply one ha ha.
Yes maybe you should get someone else to weed for awhile. My bulbs I planted in pots are popping through already.
I got given some Beetroot so made some Beetroot Relish. Its sitting on the tray on my table. My pantries are full and I don't know where I am going to put them sigh. I need a bigger place ha ha.
I spoilt myself again ha ha and got some Gradients from Killeryarns. We have so many Talented Indie Dyers in NZ.
My new Bed arrives on Saturday and I will need to sort out the space before that ha ha. At lest it has 6 big drawers underneath it so more storage ho ho.
I've given away more toys and books the children don't use so gradually clawing Space back.
I'm on the school run this week so early starts so its bed for me .

makerealbany - 2017-03-20 23:02:00
7807

I understand the need for space. LOL. I'm imagining your beetroot relish being stored under your new bed!!! LOL. I have also started to clean out the toys the boys no longer need. They are more interested in their phones or my computer when they are here now. I ended up coming home after the shop yesterday, I felt so tired but once here I became absorbed in starting an aran jersey pattern I haven't done in ages. I also had long conversations with my parents and with daughter S. after her biopsy. She lost one of her student properties yesterday in an overnight fire, it's on Stuff this morning. Anyway didn't end up having a nap yesterday afterall. I finished the back of the aran jersey by the time I went to bed. A good days work. It's I.'s birthday today so here's hoping I stay well enough today to be able to go to Lone Star for tea.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-21 06:42:00
7808

I hope I don't have to store it in my new drawers under the bed ha ha. Yes I spent hours on phone calls as well today sigh. How is S after her biopsy?
Losing a property would be stressful.
Hope you are well enough to go to Lone Star for tea. I'm shattered again ha ha. Did a bit more on my shawl and its bed for me. You take care and look after yourself.

makerealbany - 2017-03-21 22:26:00
7809

Pills finished for Round 2. Sigh of relief and yes, I made it out for dinner last night. Hooray for that. S is doing okay after biopsy, hopefully have results today. Latest drama for me is soe overseas companies keep taking amounts of $140 out of my Visa credit card. First time was in US dollars 2 weeks ago and the bank is dealing with it but todays is a British business. Grrrr.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-22 06:52:00
7810

OMG I had someone trying to add another email address to my Paypal account. Sorted that out today and then some scammer sent me a email saying they were from Apple. So deleted that. Sometimes the internet is a curse.
Finished the shawl and started another tonight.
So you can have a wee break before next round of pills?
Glad S is doing ok.
Another early start tomorrow, No wonder I doze in my chair about 5 ha ha.

makerealbany - 2017-03-23 00:05:00
7811

I start the next round of pills next Tuesday. Poor S has been looking for one of her cats since Sunday. Found out last night that the neighbours dog got her. The neighbour said that Bella was fine when they took her to the vet but when S rang the vet was told she had passed before they got her there! She had a microchip and yet S had not been contacted. Yet another stress to add to her life. And so sad, and very frustrating that nothing can be done about the dog. S's other cat has to stay inside now.
Finally found out about the credit card! I. had agreed to a free sample of some health thing for $2.95 but once he gave his credit card details the fine print (not that we have a copy of any of this) states he is actually agreeing to a monthly subscription. %#&*%!!!!!!!!! With the banks help we have now got an email address and sent an email to cancel on their advice. Reply this morning states he has to contact a contact number in Auckland or Wellington as cancellation won't be accepted by email! It's just a nightmare.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-23 06:49:00
7812

Took our cat Mac to the vet last night. She seems to have an irritation in her eye so is on eyedrops for 10 days before having it rechecked. Worse case scenario she has skin cancer on her eyelid but nothing is showing so fingers crossed. The biopsy and subsequent treatment would be very invasive so the vet agrees that at 16 years old she doesn't need to suffer that. She is fine at present and very healthy for her age in other respects so we are going with that. With losing our other 2 girls to cancer we are realistic that our time may have been limited with Mac anyway. She is being so good about the eyedrop so far but it's going to be 4 times a day so I guess she will be fed up with me eventually. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-24 06:48:00
7813

Poor S. How awful for her. Teddy my sons dog I now own practically lol used to chase Puss but old Jed used to chase him back. I miss my old cat. Teddy is settling because Puss hisses at him and he leaves her alone now. Mac will get sick of the eye drops alright. Dunhill hates having his flea stuff on but hates the vet more ha ha. He won't get in the car now.
I spent yesterday cleaning walls, etc. Wanted it all spic and span for my new bed. Once my shed is built and I move more stuff out of the cottage and into the shed I'll put my new Lounge curtains up and put my new rug down but the old ones can stay until the shed is done. I have K7 here and we are picking up E5 for her weekend tomorrow morning. Full house here ha ha.
The next round comes up quick doesn't it? Do you feel better in yourself or is it too early to tell. Don't think I could cope with all that, working and the other worries with S. You are a bloody marvel girl.
Yes that happened to me as well last year I got a free sample , paid for postage and the next thing charges went on my credit card and a parcel arrived. I cancelled it but still had to pay postage for them sending it and me sending it back. I was told by the bank to never agree to free samples because it's just a have grrrr.

makerealbany - 2017-03-24 23:57:00
7814

Sounds like fun for you this weekend. LOL. I'd be impatient for that shed to be up with all the new stuff waiting to go into your house.
I don't know about feeling better. LOL. I recovered really well from surgery and felt great getting back to work before chemo started. During the rest week when there are no drugs to take I feel really normal and get heaps done. Those 2 weeks of drugs each time are just awful, with the 2nd round being far worse than the first. This time there won't be any IV so no reaction to cold or nerve endings in my hands and feet. With no IV there won't be any steroids and no extra strength anti-nausea so I'm hoping it's all a lot gentler. This time I am hoping I can work out enough anti-nausea to manage the 8 pills a day. I thought it was only the IV effects that should be accumulative so hopefully the effects to pills shouldn't be any worse each time now. Fingers crossed. I've nearly finished the aran jersey, just the v-neck band to do, then more bunnies need wee jerseys as all the others have sold.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-25 10:36:00
7815

Rain, rain and more rain! And no gardening for another weekend. Sigh. Groceries this morning and I need to sew up the jersey this afternoon. Didn't get much done yesterday with family here. We did play the new Family Feud board game though, that was fun. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-26 10:00:00
7816

Had a busy time with the kids. Today we went to a new Adventure Park which is 5 mins from my daughters. It was raining so we had rides in the covered area. Had a nice lunch then dropped E to her Mum at the park. My daughter T bought me an Adele TShirt and some Lipstick and nail polish. I love babysitting rewards ha ha.
I have filled up all my new drawers and am getting organized ha ha. I've done 20 points on J's hitch hiker scarf couldn't finish it for her to take back but I'll send it to her. Still haven't blocked red one yet. Too busy. It's pouring now bugger it. I wanted fine weather until Wednesday. Ah well.
I do hope the next round will be gentle for you.

makerealbany - 2017-03-26 23:02:00
7817

Me too! LOL. Jersey all done and 4 bunnies have wee aran jerseys to wear for Easter. I have some sheep to do rugby jerseys for as well and some tiny teddies. Quite fun to do as light relief. Big week ahead at work starting today with very early blood test so I can get to shop at 9. Easter now I can just go to normal laboratory which opens at 7 rather than Cancer Centre which doesn't start till 8.30. Then work this afternoon and oncologist appointment at 5.30. Meetin I. at McDonald's for tea after that as I will be too knackered to bother cooking. LOL.
S's tests have come back showing everything seems to relate to a hormonal imbalance, including the wswollen lymh nodes in her neck. Hopefully they come up with a solution now to give her some relief.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-27 06:41:00
7818

That's good news about S. A seems to be doing okay on her Hormone Pills. Touch wood sigh. My eyes are stinging as I have been peeling onions. Yes I did soak them in hot water ha ha. I cut up the Beetroot for Relish that Iwill do tomorrow. I bottled the red pickling onions I have had draining.
My old bedroom suite was picked up tonight. Yippee. Glad that's gone.
I had so many messages asking the dumbest questions about it lol. I stated every little mark and scratch and took photos. People do not read ha ha.
Some even got annoyed when I replied read the description. Grrr
I have a day of running tomorrow as well.
That's amazing that the Cancer Centre does not open until 8.30 What's up with that?
No knitting tonight. I'm off to bed early ha ha

makerealbany - 2017-03-27 23:03:00
7819

You have been busy! Oncologist agreed side effects last time had been extreme and they would get worse still if I continued on the iv so we are all happy with the decision made. Yippee! Pills start again tonight so we'll see how that goes for this round. One of the drugs is affecting my liver and making my heart race so more tests during this round to check on both. Only enough time to knit a pair of wee sox between getting home and going to bed last night.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-28 06:55:00
7820

That's not good about your liver being affected and heart racing. I've been there and when they changed my meds I calmed down and my liver is fine now.
I just finished bottling the Beetroot Relish.
Had my haircut today, went to GP, got my meds, bloods are fine, bought two pairs shoes on special , did my groceries, made all the phone calls I needed to. A leaves in the morning for Wellington so it's babysitting for three days. I'll be running ha ha. Did a bit on the shawl but not sure about the colour changes mmmm.

makerealbany - 2017-03-28 22:23:00
7821

So far so good...... Women's Group off to a place this morning that makes plaster of paris ornaments and provides a workshop for you to go and paint them. There were delays everywhere I went yesterday, hairdresser kept me waiting for half an hour same at pharmacy to pick up meds. It was nearly lunchtime before I got to work. So much for not needing to take time off because I stipped the chemo iv. LOL. Group this morning, then a working lunch with senior staff then funding applications to finish all going well. I started a fairisle cardy in pastels last night.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-29 06:49:00
7822

A left went to the airport and the plane was delayed all day Grrr. Wellington Airport was closed. She worked on her laptop all darn day. Couldn't get a flight out got home at 5 then found out they sent two flights after that. She's tired and as mad as hell with AIr NZ. They told her first flight she could get on was 12 tomorrow so she had to brief someone else to do her morning sessions until she arrives. Talk about a nightmare.
Water tanks are full again.
I only did 2 points on my shawl today. Ah well always tomorrow ha ha.

makerealbany - 2017-03-29 22:06:00
7823

My sister worked on her laptop at Wellington Airport all day waiting for her flight to Blenheim to see Mum and Dad. Still waiting today I guess. It was a good day at work for me, yesterday, I did a full day which was great for day 2 back on the pills. Fingers crossed for today as I have an early meeting. I have the back and one front done of a fairisle cardy.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-30 06:43:00
7824

Another good day yesterday, except for funding applications being declined. It's getting so hard these days. We've had to scale down one of our programmes and we've lost 2 staff. My cough was bad yesterday and now today my muscles are feeling a bit worse for wear because of it. LOL. Didn't get much knitting done last night either because of it.I'm going to have to work hard on this cardy over the weekend to get it finished for Monday.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-31 06:37:00
7825

A arrived back tonight and I couldn't dash over fast enough to my cottage and have a Nana nap ha ha. Just woke up . Boy that was exhausting. I had a lousy night last night. Couldn't settle. Think I'm just overtired. Getting up at 5.30 and running most of the day sigh. Don't know how A does it with the kids and work. I know I had 5 kids to care for alone but that seems like a millions years ago ha ha. I'll block those two hitchhike rs tomorrow. Started the purple Toned one. Weekend will be relaxing and knitting ha ha

makerealbany - 2017-03-31 21:52:00
7826

Sounds good to me, too! LOL. Except for cooking today for family, getting flu sho this morning, hemming a new pair of jeans, housework and should be tidying garden for inspectiuon on Monday but not sure that will happen. I also want to play Family Feud with the boys again. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-01 09:11:00
7827

Well except for the flu shots nothing else happened as planned. Family didn't come over so no cooking for me, we went for a drive in the afternoon which was lovely and then I. went to speedway so I had a lovely evening knitting and watching movies. LOL. I just have the neckband to do on cardy, sew it all up and find some buttons.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-02 08:48:00
7828

Cardy finished, some garden done. Not a bad effort for a lazy Sunday. I. did far more than me, I have to say and he carried on washing cars while I worked on the cardy. I hope your weekend has been as relaxing as planned. I have a busy week ahead with the shop this morning and the end of month stuff to do, Mac has to go back to the vet tonight to get the verdict on her eye, I have blood tests and 2 ultra sounds scheduled, a shop meeting and all of this is on top of going to work. I have started an jersey in 8ply with a picture of a truck on the front, just for something different to do. Hopefully it will appeal to a child for wearing to preschool LOL.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-03 06:21:00
7829

Dash it all I posted late last night and it's not here duh gremlins. Yes I lazed Sat with J6 . A has changed M9s Gymnastics to Wed afternoon for next term. Out all day Sat is too hard on her. I blocked one shawl and am half way through the third. I'm sure the jersey with a truck on it will be appreciated by some lucky little boy. Daylight saving ending has thrown me off my slapdash routines ha ha.

makerealbany - 2017-04-04 00:31:00
7830

Daylight saving doesn't seem to have changed your bed time though! LOL. I can't believe you are up so late, I didn't make it past 10 last night. Couldn't even watch Blindspot and I love that programme. The smallest size for this jersey is a 24" chest but it's coming out bigger than that. Will fit a 4 year old I reckon which meant knitting the plain back very tedious. Back done now though and rib for the front so I can start the truck picture tonight. Took Mac back to the vet last night and it looks like there is a cancer lesion in her eyelid. Still have to use eyedrops a couple of times a day for a while and take her back in a couple of months for her general health to be monitored. But I guess it will be obvious like the other girls when she starts to go down hill, at least this time we know what it is and have already made the decision.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-04 06:46:00
7831

Poor Mac. My friend in Christchurch has just come out of hospital. The neighbours cat was in her farmhouse at 7 in the morning on her craft table. P went to shoo it off and it scratched her badly. The darn thing is usually friendly . By that night her arm and hand were so swollen. The next morning into hospital. She spent the weekend there and got home tonight.
Up to 29 points on the Hitchhiker but think it will be yarn chicken for me. I might get 33. Blocked the green one today.
Darn Dunhill was yowling a bit tonight so I was starting to worry but hes fine now. I don't think he likes the pouring rain because he wants to romp in the garden ha ha no show tonight.

makerealbany - 2017-04-04 23:15:00
7832

You are really being hit by bad weather again! I hope you get to stay inside where it is safe and dry. I had a day at home yesterday as not feeling the best. I got most of the truck picture done on the front.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-05 07:34:00
7833

More rain today. I changed all the linen and had to dry it all in the drier.
Hope you were feeling better today.
I have 4 rows to finish the shawl but too tired ha ha. I had to bake Date scones and Lemon cupcakes for Lunches or I would have finished.

makerealbany - 2017-04-05 23:52:00
7834

Raining down here as well, no flooding like you are getting though. Makes me want to stay home but lots to do at work leading up to the holiday programme after Easter. I have finished the front of the truck jersey, just the sleeves to do now. Still feeling yuck but have to get over it, I have a cold, too, thanks to this weather.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-06 06:42:00
7835

Oh you poor thing. I've been taking Vitamin C, Galic and Echinaesia tablets to keep it at bay hopefully ha ha. I hope things improve for you. You are coping with so much my friend. Big hugs.
Finished the Shawl. My sister sent me some wool to knit her one lol.
My Sil couldn't fly out so he had to go up the river in a boat. Not happy. Should get back to NZ at 2 in the morning if all goes well.
I can have a bit more time to myself until Easter now whoop whoop.

makerealbany - 2017-04-07 00:20:00
7836

Weather is affecting so much these days, isn't it? Those poor people in Edgecombe are going to have start over again. WE didn't get as much rain as you did up north but watching the river come up level with the road in places was scary on my way to work yesterday. I ended up having a good day yesterday and worked through till after 5 without realising it. Very productive. DRive home was a bit chaotic with a major set of traffic lights out taking nearly 20 minutes to get through that one intersection even with police direction. Then I had to get past a minor flood and then a car crash on the next 2 main roads. Needless to say I. got home before me and had the house warmed up. LOL. I completed the first sleeve of the jersey last night. This morning I'm starving but can't eat till after 2 ultrasounds done at 8am. One on my liver and one on the arm that has retained fluid around my forearm since the PICC line went in and never went away even when it was removed. I have a meeting at 9 which I'm going to have to be late for as I need to find some breakfast before I can take my morning chemo pills. McDonalds pancakes here I come! Eventually. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-07 06:47:00
7837

Heavens what a busy day you had.Hope it all went well. SIL is home ok.
Yes my nephew lives about 30 mins from Edgecombe but his property is on a hill. He could see all the water and boats going up and down getting people out. He said it's awful. He's the boy who went up in the tornado about three years ago. He was on his horse and up they went. He thought that was it for him but apart from his shoulder and neck going out and bruises He and his horse were OK. Mind you he had to rethink his occupation and now he has his own Business at home making telescopes and long range lenses. Anyway he said the homes have so much water in them everything will be ruined.
So sad for them. All the damage over the country is really bad.
I'm glad we are high up but not right on the coastline.
I did an Easter Swap on one of my groups and came home tonight to a fabulous parcel. I got a Choc Rabbit, a bag of mini eggs, a small purse which was made in Dunedin, stitch markers from " What are you making Mum" and a200 grms Gradient from Darn Knit. So lucky I'll send you a pic tomorrow . Have to get it from my phone ha ha. I started another shawl ha ha.

makerealbany - 2017-04-08 00:11:00
7838

That's very scary what happened to your nephew but your EAster parcel sounds great.
Liver, pancreas and kidneys came back clear in ultra sound but arm showed 2 blood clots - one in my arm pit and one by my wrist where the swelling is. Spent 2 hours in A&E waiting for Clixane injection and to be shown how to do it myself for the next 6 months!!!!! Have to go to After hours this morning for another tutoring session - I am so over this right now!

grizzly4 - 2017-04-08 08:54:00
7839

Exhausted yesterday after all the drama, had visitors so couldn't sleep and then didn't feel well enough to go bowling with I. and the ATV club last night.Sigh.No knitting done and still need to do a sleeve and neck band of jersey so I guess it won't be finished for shop tomorrow.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-09 10:37:00
7840

Still feeling yuck yesterday but managed to get the groceries done, some mending, froze some more beans and made up 4 meals for the freezer. Not much knitting done but half way up sleeve now. Slept like a log last night despite at least 3 naps yesterday. LOL.
How are you, makerealbany? Did you have a quiet weekend or have you been away?

grizzly4 - 2017-04-10 06:40:00
7841

Wasn't feeling that great so been very quiet and solitary ha ha. Gosh you are really having a lousy time of it. I'd be over it as well. Managed to make some more Relish and Pickle today and apart from that I just dozed and knitted when I was awake ha ha. I'm using the Gradient I got in my swap parcel. It's so pretty two thirds of the way through now. I'm going to rest up as much as I can as you should be doing by the way. E5 arrives Monday then I'll have a busy week. Got to arrange for J13 so he can have time with his sister. I need to do more work outside but I'm lacking energy mmmm.

makerealbany - 2017-04-10 22:41:00
7842

Do you have the 'flu or is it something else? Does E5 arrive this week for an extra week of school holidays? I had a reasonable day yesterday and made it through to 5pm with the shop and work. Also finished 2nd sleeve and sewed in all the ends of the truck picture on the front. What a mission that was! I've done the front opening and now working on the collar. I think I might do something a bit more straight forward next. LOL. Last lot of pills this morning for this round. Hooray!

grizzly4 - 2017-04-11 07:07:00
7843

No flu just stupid immune system haywire again. Another lazy day hibernating ha ha. I have two pints on my shawl to go. Blocked my nieces shawl and sent her a pic. Ill send it when it is dry. M is my namesake and lives in Sydney. She has a big Family there but misses her Mum and home of course. She has lost her Nana and then her Dad so feeling it. She is very happy with the pic ha ha.
Yes when I used to knit with animals and toys on the front it took ages to weave in the ends ugh.
Straight forward is good ha ha. You could do the Hitchhiker shawl on two needles but it would get heavy towards the end. You could switch then to a circular if you wanted too.
Not sure what Ill do next. I have to knit a black one for myself and my sisters want black. Bugger it ha ha, I don't really like knitting in black at all. Thank goodness that round of pills is over. J flew up from Christchurch today for a week so Ill see her tomorrow .

makerealbany - 2017-04-11 23:00:00
7844

I hope you feel better soon. YOu sound like a marvel doing all those shawls. I have to agree about knitting black and navy is just as bad. I finished the collar and all the ends are woven in thank goodness. Can do the rest of the sewing tonight. Worked a 10 hour day yesterday and felt ok for nearly all of it. Yahoo. Today the Women's Group are decorating Easter Cakes. I am going to leave mine here for son S's family as thanks for feeding Mac while we are in Blenheim this weekend. I have bought Airshow tickets for I. to go on the Saturday so he can have a break away from me. I know Mum is going to fuss over me while I'm there and I don't need both of them on my case. LOL. It will be the first time I get to drive his new car so here's hoping it's as comfortable as the last one. It has sportier seats so I already know I need a cushion for comfort and height. Little old lady that I am! Ha Ha. It is pouring here this morning so I hate to think what you are getting. It better clear before the weekend and not cause so much damage up your way this time.

grizzly4 - 2017-04-12 07:01:00
7845

It's been pouring all day and will get worse sigh. No wind yet but my nephew in the Bay of Plenty says the winds are strong there.
Finished my shawl and guess what started another ha ha. I'm going to bake all day tomorrow if I still have power. Got to fill the tins before Easter ha ha. I hope you enjoy your weekend away and that the weather is ok for you.

makerealbany - 2017-04-12 22:42:00

Looks like weather will still be rough tomorrow morning for our trip. Sigh. Not like yours was when you came down in January, I hope. LOL.I can't remember the last time I baked! Still haven't used my new cake mixer yet. Jersey all finished, will try and remember to take a photo when we get back to show you. Memory is like a sieve these days. I hope you have a lovely Easter! I have won 3 raffles this week. Can you believe it! A basket of Easter eggs, a pack of Hot Cross Buns and a Chocolate Easter Bunny and $30 worth of Instant Kiwi tickets from which I won $100 plus a free $5 ticket. Can't believe my luck! LOL.

Whoop whoop on winning the raffles and the Instant Kiwi prize. It's ok here tonigh. I hope the weather will be nice to you.
I baked a Chocolate Slice, 2 Lemon Loaves, and made uncooked Chocolate and Peppermint squares as well as a Citrus Slice. Feeling sick of Chocky though ha ha. By the time I had iced everything I was over it . At lest lots for kids to eat. Tomorrow I'll make the Hot Cross Buns. Love that smell.
Started to knit but gave up as can't concentrate. I think I'll head off to bed early. I know I must be crook ha ha.

Crook and all that baking you did!? Amazing effort, the kids will love you to bits. LOL. (I'm sure they do anyway). We had a great weekend away, I felt well the whole time but very worried about my Mum. She has Rheumatism Oedema (very rare apparently, only 4 people in NZ known to have it) and a heart problem. She is so out of breath all the time and really suffering from side effects of the medications she is on to prevent her having a stroke.Dad worries about her all the time which doesn't help when he has Parkinsons. He also has another condition which affects the nerve endings in his feet. They are so swollen now, he can no longer find shoes to fit. He worries about me too now, and I am hating to be the cause of more stress for them.
I've done quite a bit of knitting on a wee cardy from one of the new pattern books I bought a wee while ago.

I had a list of things to do yesterday and managed most including goiung into Riccarton Mall for the first time in nearly 10 years! And I won't be going back anytime soon. I needed to pick up some art activities for the Women's group from Kmart and couldn't believe the mess the shop was in. Clothes strewn on the floor or piled on top of racks, and not just clothes either. Shelves were pretty empty in the toy section. The only staff were in the paying area.Definitely won't go back.
I'm still working on a wee cardy at present but struggling to match the wool. Blood tests just after 7 this morning then on to Holiday Programme by 8am. Oncologist appointment after 4 this afternoon so it's going to be a long day. I hope you are feeling better.

I'm fine now. The grandchildren have had a ball and J13 goes home tomorrow. My daughter is taking him into the city to catch the bus and the other 3 and I are going to Smurfs at the Movies. I'm half way through this shawl . I'm booked into a Knitting Weekend in November which will be in Taupo and I'm looking forward to that. I'm going to take the sock making class amongst other things .
You sound so worried about your parents. It's awful when you are so far away. I used to worry so much about Mum and she in turn worried about us all. It's what parents and kids do sigh.
Glad you were feeling better whilst you were there with them. It's not your fault you are not well so don't feel guilty. Even when we are in the best of health parents still worry. Look at how we worry about our kids sigh.
K Mart here is not bad but can get messy. Not enough staff employed. Sign of the times. Farmers is always immaculate but staffing is always short.
E5 is fast asleep. She's worn out. Playing from early morning to tea time. I've had to encourage her big brother to play with for awhile and I make him read her stories at night. She's so happy to see him as he is her only sibling. He has a brother and two other sisters so he doesn't understand .
Hope your Oncology appointment went ok.
