When K had the Radio Therapy treatment. He got a raw throat. I used to crush the tablets up and mix with honey. It was the only way he could take them and keep them down. You poor thing.
My appointment wasn't too bad. Didn't even need a Nana Nap ha ha.
Gosh those fires down your way are dreadful and the loss of that Pilot is very sad, I feel for his family.
I wish it would pour down there to relieve the pressure on the Firefighters and the Community.
I'm off up North tomorrow , staying the night in Whangarei. I am giving a lift to a young Lady part of the way up and all the way home so I wont be alone ha ha. Hope she likes Adam Lambert blasting ha ha.

Wow, you are on the move alot these days! I'm glad your appointment wasn't too bad. I actually managed to swallow the damn pills whole this morning along with the 5 other ones I had to take as well. Yahoo! Very proud of myself. LOL. The Womens Group went well yesterday morning playing Bingo and they supplied a pot luck morning tea. Such a supportive bunch of ladies especially of me at present considering there are some pretty serious stuff going on for some of them as well. I have finished the fairisle cardy except for..... ( you guessed it) .... buttons. LOL. I have started another dolls outfit now.

Very tired yesterday. Did a 6 hour day at work but still napped before cooking tea and again after. NOt feeling the greatest this morning and having to force down my bit of toast. Oh well, had to happen eventually I guess.

I slept a bit more yesterday morning, did some bookwork at home and then was starving for lunch! Very weird. Felt much better so went off to meeting for a couple of hours. LOL. I woke up at 7 this morning feeling great so onward with today. It's been great having this rain down here, the news is so much better regarding the awful fires we've had. My roses are pretty thankful, too. It's still wet today so I have a Grab One voucher to take the boys to Chipmunks, much better for them than sitting on my computer all day! I have to go on a search for buttons too as the dolls dress is finished, just want to do a wee jacket to go with it and maybe shoes.

Thank heavens for the rain alright. It was very wet travelling North. Had to be really careful in places in particular where the road works were.I had to drop off wool in Whangarei and pick up a girl who was travelling North. Stayed in a motel in Whangarei. friendly Manager, clean toilet and shower, stovetop needed replacing though. I sat on the bed and then noticed stains on the duvet. Ugh threw that on the floor and checked the blanket in the ward drobe, Wont be staying there again. drove up to Kaitaia in dreadful conditions. Its only an Hour 10 from Whangarei. On my way home I stopped in Whangarei to pick up wool I bought on TM . Couldn't help myself ha ha. Dropped my friend in Birkenhead with her saddle she was selling and drove home. My plants are looking good in the garden but my houseplants were dry. Hope you felt better as the day progressed.

Spent 5 hours weeding my big neglected garden today. We also finally found the leaking pipe. The big garden was so lush at the top. My SIL dug where the Council had put in their drain to the manhole. They had obviously cut through our pipe and then put a joiner in by my shed. The weight of the stuff they threw on top and then compacted down forced the join apart a bit, So the pump has been going on every 3 and a half mins so we have lot a cup of water every time it went on. No wonder we had to buy water in grrrr. At lest that problem is solved it was driving my SIL mad who in turn has driven us mad replacing taps and digging pipes up ha ha, I went up to the beach for tea tonight and my phone never stopped ringing grrr, Just got back and its bed for me. Hope you are ok,

Wasn't the greatest over the weekend. Didn't do much but doze in my chair. I'll have to pull myself together today as I have a long day ahead starting with the shop till lunch time, a meeting then have to organise food for staff for the conflict resolution meeting tonight. Won't be home till about 9 this evening. I'm exhausted just thinking about lasting that long but have to get these issues resolved once and for all.

Yes you will be exhausted. you are doing too much. I had a cleaning day. Was trying to get my car sorted Remote key would not work. Got AA out. Needs a new Battery $380 I nearly cried but remembered my Warranty Ha ha So Battery is being replaced tomorrow at 8 . The Guy I bought the car from could not believe what the AA was charging for a Battery so his guy is bringing one. Had to have a meeting with my friend D and her Real Estate Agents tonight and then came home and cooked Tomato Relish I had prepared this morning. Off to bed now lol.

I think (and it's only a guess) that the anti- nausea drug is making me too drowsy so I haven't had any since yesterday morning. If that's been the problem the past few days here's hoping it's sorted now. I haven't been able to tell whther I'm feeling seedy because of drowsiness or a reaction to the chemo pills. I'll guess we'll find out. LOL. The rest of the week isn't as frantic as yesterday and my plan is to tackle some funding. I've started a baby's cardy in blue and white stripes with wee blue boats on the chest of the fronts. It's all in one to the armholes and I'm nearly there.
Speaking of doing too much, you're not slowing down much either, I see. LOL. Just look at the times you are signing on here! I don't know how you do it.

The days are not long enough ha ha. The guy came to replace my battery so its all ok. He said they charge 260 and that the AA charged far too much, Hes right ha ha. I took the dogs to get groomed and went to the Library as well as the shops while they were in there. Picked the dogs up and came back to horrendous racket from the Road workers just outside our house. They had one side of the road blocked including the entrance to our driveway but I told them I had to get in as I wasn't going to carry the dogs ha ha. They removed the cones and I drove in. Minded the children so Ange could go to the PTA Meeting tonight. I have knitted a square for the Diagonal Blanket. First knitting I've done for ages. Have to sort out some more colours. I had a big bag of Corrigale Wool so I'm using that. Periodontist tomorrow and then well see how its going. I feel a lot better. Yes I have heard that the Anti nausea drugs are awful. You are a whizz with your knitting. I thought as I was knitting that you would have a new project ha ha,

It's crazy the pills that are supposed to make you feel better (supposing you needed it) are the ones that were dragging me down I had a great day at work yesterday feeling almost normal. I was genuinely tired from work and the heat not drugged up tired and slept really well. Roll on today LOL. The women's group is going to Willowbank Animal Reserve and I'm actually looking forward to wandering around as well. More funding stuff and a meeting at the local college then home again.
I did have moment yesterday that almost ruined the day however. Ran some errands for work and parked my car in the local mall carpark, only taking my wallet and keys and leaving my bag and phone in the car. Iwas back at the car in less than 10 minutes to find that neither the proximity key, remote or actual key would unlock the doors! I knew that the lock on the driver's door hadn't been right since the crash in December and though it it had finally given up. Tried everything 2 or 3 times, getting sympathetic stares from passers by and then I realised I didn't have my phone to call for help. ^#@*%. It wasn't till I was mentally kicking myself for not bringing the phone that I realised my bag wasn't on the seat in the car! Then I noticed there was a strange water bottle in the cup holder I never use. Light bulb moment - wrong car!!!!!!!! I had spent all this time trying to break into someone elses car while mine was 3 parks further on!!!!!!! OK laugh away! I've entertained a few people since with that story now.

ha ha you poor thing. I don't know how many times I have looked for my old car in the car park only to realise after I start to panic that my car is silver not red anymore duh. I loved Willow Bank. We had a great time there, Food was ok in the café as well. Today was the worst day at the Periodontist and I still feel awful. They used a stronger anaesthetic but oboy. I have a break now for 3 months to see if this has worked. It had better have ha ha. Off to bed with no knitting just too foggy and sore.

You poor thing, it's sounds like an absolute nightmare of a process. Daughter S is facing more surgery in the next couple of weeks but in the meantime she has developed a clicky jaw.... Dentist took a full xray and found a growth in the pivot point of her jaw. Can you believe the luck of this girl???!!! Tomorrow she is having a bone biopsy which sounds as painful as what you are going through. Shudder. Then both specialists will make independent decisions on surgery dates. Sigh.
I completely knackered myself yesterday even though I only walked half of Willowbank but with the exercise and the heat and then a longer meeting than expected I was out on my feet by the time I got home. LOL. Hadn't eaten properly either and my blood sugar drops real quick these days now I'm eating less anyway. It's still a learning process now things are different, I guess. I've lost 7 kgs since surgery and going to have to do something about my clothes for winter. The summer ones are a bit embarrassing hanging off me now but it's too late in the season to worry now.

I hope today finds you feeling better.Feeling a bit down today after an angry day yesterday. Men and credit cards, they are the bain of my existance! How do they not see it's not free money, for goodness sake. Then I get days of sulking when he gets found out. Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Regardless it's always going to be my fault. I would love to take the day off and sit and jknit with a good movie. But you know what I actually feel so well now the anti-nausea stuff is out of my system It's just not right taking a day off. LOL. I'll wait till the weekend like normal people.

I went to sleep in my chair after a busy full on day and woke up at 2am . Dropped into bed and just woke up again lol. I cant believe your poor girl has more to go through. Some people are really tested my friend. Bloody men just don't think. Its all about instant gratification for some. You are so tolerant. Considering what you are going through he should leave that credit card alone, grrrrr. Its not your fault he is acting irresponsibly its his darn fault. Don't you let that get to you. He needs a shake up and down lol. I have another lot of pickle to make tonight. People keep giving me veges and fruit ha ha. I have had the aircon on as I cant take the smell of vinegar at the moment, Its never bothered me before. Sigh. I am now going to hoover my cottage. Picking up E5 tomorrow for the night whoop whoop.

He's lucky you don't live closer! LOL. I didn't do any knitting last night either. It's been a good week but my longest at work so far. I'm really looking forward to some rest this weekend. However those relatives I mentioned a while ago will be here this afternoon. Grrr. Daughter S. isn't well enough after the procedure yesterday to be here as moral support either. I have the urge to make scones for afternoon tea. LOL. I haven't baked in months and not used the cake mixer I got for my birthday in November at all yet. I did visit the sale at the local bookshop yesterday and bought another amazing cake recipe book. Last thing I need if I want the weight to keep coming off. LOL.

Hope the relatives visit went ok. I picked E5 up and this afternoon we went to the movies. She loved Moana and so did the boys. M9 had an all day Gymnastics event, She got Gymnast of the day for the third week running, Mind you she practices really hard and at lest two hours every day. Tonight we had tea over at A and S's and then the kids watched the Chipmunks. I managed to preserve my apricots tonight and that was it ha ha. Yes he is darn lucky I don't live closer,

I made the scones and the visit was ok. (Yawn). They do tend to go on a bit about the negative aspects of other family members. Gets tedious. But they won't be back for years now. LOL. I was in asleep in my chair by 8.30 went to bed and slept till 8.30 this morning! LOL. Needless to say cardy won't be finished for shop tomorrow.

Well little E wanted to stay longer lol. She is even playing with the dogs now after being very scared of them a few months ago which is very nice for her and the dogs, I helped my SIL plant Canna lillies on a bank tonight. We worked until it was too dark to see anything and guess who tripped on the bank and nearly fell down. Not me ha ha Poor SIL wasn't too keen after that but he coped. A came out gave instructions to him which consisted of ' dig holes where Mum says' and promptly disappeared inside as she has a full days work tomorrow. No knitting for me. Had to do my nails. etc as its my neighbours Auction tomorrow and I'm going to support her and protect her from zealous Agents grrrr. Shes in quite a state, I hope it sells as I really don't think she could cope with much more.

I knitted wee jerseys for 3 soft toy bunnies so at least I had something ready for this morning. Only have a sleeve and bands to do on cardy so will finish it this week and maybe do matching beanie and bootees. I also have to put some baby fuscias in pots that I have grown from cuttings for the fundraising table at work.
My gosh, look at the time you were up to this morning!

Phew! long day yesterday. 13 hours from the time I left home in the morning till I walked in the door after the meeting. Pretty tired this morning. We have finally made the move to enrol with a new GP but what a performance that's turned out to be. Sigh. Chose a medical centre that's within walking distance of home, 3 doctor's on site but only one accepting new patients. The receptionist had to keep ringing me back with answers to my questions, I'm not sure why it was so difficult to confirm an appointment so we could meet the doctor next Tuesday afternoon as we are both off work because of the next chemo iv. Now they are saying they need to have received our notes from our previous doctor before they can write prescriptions. We have to fill in paperwork before they can send for the notes, they couldn't email the forms to me so I'm picking them up this morning, I. will have to sign his tonight so I can't return them till tomorrow morning which gives them 4 working days to get those notes. Knowing the incompetance they are going to face at the other end I'm not holding out much hope! Mute point that we are making the appointment to renew all our prescriptions. Grrr. No wonder I have just put up with the status quo all these years. Speaking of chemo, I have just taken the last pills for cycle 1, I now have a week off before everything starts again next Tuesday.
Good luck with your neighbour's auction today.

Well it had been a hectic but productive time here. D sold her home at Auction. The Agents had her worked up to such a state. I had to drive her there very early, make her eat and try to relax. Two of her sisters came and they were great but she ended up in tears,. I had to keep asking the Agents to leave the room so I could settle her down. She was a wreck before it started sigh. She got less then she would have if she had stated a price and just put it on the Open Market but for her this was a result that was needed because of the state she was in. There is no way in hell she could have endured much more. Shes a very highstrung Lady, I'm glad its over for her. After the Auction which was later than we supposed or were told , I took her home and stayed with her until she was ready for bed. Rang her this morning and she was having second thoughts but I managed to steer her back again. We went out to dinner tonight which was nice and I had her in fits of laughter telling her stories of my mad younger days with my equally mad friends. Ha ha, Tomorrow we will make plans to sort out furniture for her unit. She doesn't move until May but time slips by and I have so much on.
That's crazy about your doctors. What a load of nonsence, My GP never even bothered reading my notes when I moved up here. She asked me to give her my history and I did. She typed as I spoke. I took out test results, etc so she could put them in a new file and I brought the other notes home. Read them and burned them ha ha. Shows you how different their systems are though. What if you don't like the new GP. Mind you its got to be an improvement on the last one.
Good going girl last pills for Cycle one.

I feel like I am on a real high and probably a bit manic, too. I know I'm talking too much to Ian when he needs a break but I thinks it's just such a relief to be feeling ok and the 'unknown' side of all this is over. I guess each cycle may have different effects but at least I feel more able to cope with it now. Despite the hiccups at work I'm enjoying being there and I'm really motivated in terms of my knitting at present as well. I just have turn some of that energy towards my gardens, especially the vege garden. The pumpkins are just starting to flower so I guess I won't be getting too many of them this year. I's done next to nothing with the potatoes so don't expect much there either. LOL. But I have frozen 4 bags of beans so far and the plants are still flowering so will get more. I'm about to replenish lettuces and spring onions and we have a great crop of tomatoes in the glass house. But then there are the weeds! Which are never ending. Oh well, another weekend coming up.....
I am pleased for your neighbour and what a support you have been! Leaving her home will be hard but hopefully she will be happy once settled in her unit.

Yah she is going away for a few days to settle down. I'm feeding her cat and watering the plants in pots. I have been full on and have so much to get through. I have a meeting tomorrow in South Auckland so I will have to brave the early morning traffic grrr. S is off overseas on Wednesday and A has a couple of days away working. She leaves when he does. Then on Sat I have to be in Rotorua, T,s garden is prolific so I came home with heaps of veges to make Relish and Pickle so will start that tomorrow night, Trying to renew my passport again as well as order a family birth certificate, I renewed my library books online tonight as no time to duck in. Parcels to post. etc. etc ha ha.
Yes each Cycle could be different but you have made a good start. Forget the weeds ha ha I am.
Well I'm going to bed early as I do feel tired.

I guess 11pm is early for you. LOL. Wednesdays seem to be the worst days of my week and I think that it's because I get completely peopled out by the end of the Womens Group. I had to leave work by 2 yesterday as the new dressing from Tuesday morning on my chemo line had completely fallen apart, my skin had ripped in the process etc etc and I was pretty much close to tears. Went to the Cancer Centre, had the dressing redone which has caused more skin tears, came home and cried myself to sleep. I can be such a baby at times. Sigh. Takeaways for tea, a drive in I's new car, a bit of knitting done and a good nights sleep and I'm ready tyo go today. LOL. But I'm going to watch the Wednesdays from now on.

I felt so bad for you when I saw your posts. Well ban Wednesdays from now on. Skin tearing is so painful. Big hugs my friend.I was up at 5,30 . Left home at 7,45 and arrived back from my meeting, visiting a sick friend, shopping and picking M9 up from school at 4,30. J6 is really sick with a terrible cough. He had high temps last night and vomiting so he's not the best. S had to look after him as A was working. I'm feeling my age after today ha ha.

That was a huge day for you yesterday and look at the time of your message again! I truly don't know how you keep on top of it all. It was a good day yesterday and the dressing thing should never have happened and I wish the nurses wouldn't debate in front of me about things should be done but it all affected me so much because I was exhausted after the group in the morning. I'm going to find someone to take them on their outing next week as it's the day after my next chemo iv so lets not push my luck. LOL. Finished the wee cardy complete with buttons before going to work yesterday and almost got a pair of bootees to match done last night. I'm really enjoying the knitting at present - it's so 'normal'. LOL.
You having a quiet day, today? Or looking after J? Watch that cough after what happened last year!

grizzly4 - 2017-03-03 07:00:00
7778

Bootees done, beanie would have been done if I hadn't had to undo all the shaping to make it longer. Taking all 3 boys to chipmunks this morning and going out to dinner tonight. How normal is all that. LOL.

7779

Very Normal ha ha. Yesterday was another full on day, Dropped into bed and forgot all about posting ha ha, I am off to water my neighbours plants and feed her cat. Then I have to get into the garden. I did 8 jars of Sweet cucumber pickle last night and still have a huge bag of tomatoes to sauce. Ill do that tonight. Its too hot during the day. M9 wants to decorate some cups with Sharpies, Easiest thing. I got a stash of plain mugs for $10. She draws her design and I bake them in the oven for 30 mins and its done. I got a large packet of coloured Sharpies for $4 at the Cheapo shop. I sent some threads and cottons to a girl down in Christchurch and she is making me a dreamcatcher in exchange. Ive always wanted one. Got to sort out my stashes. Yesterday S and A bought 4 sheds including mine whoop whoop. So we are all go here ha ha. I still have not used my new Overlocker but it will be cooler weather soon and then maybe I can hibernate or not ha ha, Take your earmuffs to Chipmunks. That place gives me a headache.
Its darn unethical of the staff to discuss how to dress your wounds in front of you, Idiots don't think of how it affects patients, T used to get really annoyed at the inconsideration of staff to a patients feelings. Sometimes people need to put themselves in your space. Have a lovely weekend.

I just woke up ha ha. Didn't set alarm and look what happens hee hee. S and I built A's Tool shed yesterday. The wind was up and it took a bit of holding on my part. So one shed done. Building another one today for the other garden stuff. We are progressing from small to larger. Mine will be last because it is the biggest.
I made more Pickle and dried some tomatoes. Ive never dried them in the oven before. Looks ok.
Last night after spending 2 hours cleaning out Canna Lillies from my top garden to go onto a bank I started a Hitch hiker Shawl.
I'm knitting on circulars and straight from the hank which I put over a chair ( no joins ) , Its really easy and I'm hooked so to speak. I got the pattern on Ravelry. This one is a Pinky variegated. I will do a black one after this. Everyone is making them so I thought I would give it a go . So glad I did. My blanket is winking at me but I'm ignoring that ha ha.

CHipmunks was fine, I had a great time knitting while watching the 3 boys have fun. B11 turns 12 in a couple of weeks so will be too old so he made the most of it yesterday. It was the first time L9 and B8 actually drove the bumper cars themselves.
I have to check out Ravelry for your shawl. Very curious, lol.

Phew! It was so hot yesterday, didn't venture into the garden except to pick beans and tomatoes. Decided to buy a new duvet set for spare room since Warehouse was having a sale. Then decided to move our drapes from our room to the spare room which meant matching a new smaller size set for the other window. Then of course we also had to replace our ones. LOL. Might have been a sale but I still spent far more than the $30 for the duvet set!!! It was the project I had lined up for winter so done now, although too hot yesterday to even think about hanging curtains. Maybe next weekend. Along with the garden. I have today and tomorrow off work as I have too many appointments. Will just manage to get to shop for the morning to put this knitting in. Blood tests this morning before the shop. Oncologist this afternoon and daughter S is coming with me this time. She's a bit like me, if she has all the information she doesn't worry too much. Chemo tomorrow morning for a couple of hours then I. and I will meet with our new GP in the afternoon. Back on all the pills from tomorrow night for the next 2 weeks before I get another week off.

Wow you are going to be flat out today. We finished the other shed. Loaded all of A's and my garden tools and supplies into our Girls Shed only ha ha. Today we have to load all the camping gear into the other shed. S is off on Wednesday so no more sheds to be built until he comes back.
D comes home today so that will be one less job for me.
Yes that Hitchhiker Shawl is so easy. I'm up to 16 points now. You will love it. I don't like circulars but this is a good way for you to start. go for it.

Sounds like you are having fun with the improvements to your property after all the damage done. The nurses were lying in wait for me yesterday morning so a simple blood test became a battle around the dressing again! I lost it with them and pretty much said that I felt trapped between 2 nurses representing 2 different systems and neither were actually listening to me.Left really upset again and had to go to shop for morning. By the time I got back there at 4pm to meet oncologist the other nurse was there as well. It started again because she saw her dressing had changed again so I let her have it as well then brought the issue up as a major stress point to the specialist. He wasn't happy at all but don't know whether anything will change for today. I have to be there for over 2 hours and I'm anxious there will be some payback from these 2 nurses.

grizzly4 - 2017-03-07 08:50:00
7786

There had better not have been any payback grrrr. You can lodge a complaint if you have concerns which it appears you have reason to. Hope it went better for you. You are the Patient and as such have the right to appropriate care not to be in the middle of their politics.
I am halfway through my shawl. Its easy and the next one will be double knitting ha ha, 4ply is all good and well but lots of our ladies are knitting it bigger or smaller than the pattern and in all plys, Its an easy pattern to memorize. Had to help SIL load the trailer for the dump this morning and I was had it by the time we finished ha ha, Too muggy. He's off overseas tomorrow so it was go. go. go all day for him.
I have to get my flu vaccine this week and am trying to hold a cough at bay. J 6 is better and back to school leaving Nana with his cough ha ha.

makerealbany - 2017-03-07 23:15:00

I hope you are feeling ok, makerealbany. My fingers are better at typing this morning, thank goodness. Yesterday was dreadful. The side effects kicked in within an hour of the 2 hour iv treatment on Tuesday with my hands going numb to the the elbows and my feet to my knees plus my mouth throat and nose. It was awful and lasted till late that night, by which time the sensitivity to cold kicked in and was like touching sharp glass to swallow or pick something up even at room temperature. By last night where I had been numb the muscles are so sore as if I have done extreme exercise. THe side effects are at least 3 times worse from the IV this time that I think I will cancel it from now on. It is accumulative so will be much worse next time. The oncologist also reminded me that any damage would take longer to repair itself the longer I stay on the drug. By stopping I also get rid of the PICC line and the problems with dressings and skin reactions. So it will just be the pills now and I haven't taken any anti-nausea medication since the first day of this round and have been ok so far.
I hope the rain is not undoiung all the work you have put into your garden?

You ok, Makerealbany?
I haven't been brave enough yet to tell the hospital yet of my decision. Part of me feels like I'm copping out big time. Side effects are still bad with my hands so weak at times I struggle to pick up the pills to take. Sigh. I don't think the wee matinee jacket I'm knitting will be finished for Monday.

Omg You poor thing, I feel so sorry for you. The decision is yours my friend. You do what you want to do. Its your body. K always told me the side effects were worse than his illness.
The rain has not been too bad here at all really. We are lucky so far, Garden is looking good.
J is back home cough flared up again. Definitely Whooping Cough I would say. Back to GP today. I had a lousy day yesterday but not a dot compared to your day.
Only did 4 points on my shawl.

Decision made, line out. Doesn't stop the side effects from this round though. I feel a mixture of letting myself down and feeling I've done the right thing to protect my hands and being able to continue to work during the rest of this. The skin on my arm under the dressing was a mess after 4 weeks, let alone 6 months although the oncologist didn't think I'd go past 3 rounds on the iv because of the effect on my nerve endings.
Was it J with whooping cough before you last year? That's terrible if he's got it again and what's the risk to you, if that's the case?
I'm hoping the weekend is a quiet one, not sure if family are coming over as they mentioned other plans when I saw them and S is still very unwell. She has finished her iv antibiotics for this bone infection but now she has found a lump in her neck (did I mention that already?). Her GP sounds great 'cos he looked back through her notes and said that although she has had many procedures over the years, the last full blood workout was 7 years ago. He is starting from the beginning to see if he can find a reason for all of these things to be happening. I am so worried about her and a week off work hasn't helped by the sounds of it, she is so anxious about going back today (her on call weekend couldn't be changed) as she is still not feeling well. I am so worried about her.

Having a sicky weekend, unfortunately. Hopefully this won't happen again with no iv in future. Slept for 3 hours yesterday, didn't wake till after 9 this morning. Still feeling yuck. I managed a bit of knitting last night. Raining here again today but no where near as bad as up your way.

Well hopefully the rain is over up here, Tanks are full and gardens look good. A has been out planting trees every spare moment in between rain. I haven't had the energy. I'm ok but still not 100 percent, I had to undo 20 rows on my shawl. Made a mistake and didn't notice it until tonight grrr. That's what happens when you cant concentrate properly. I have been dozing on and off as well. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow, Poor S . What a worry for you.

Still feeling yuck but have to go into shop this morning. Not sure I'll make it into office after that though. I'm sorry you aren't feeling the best either and that you had to pull back your knitting. That's heart breaking.

Made it through my shift at the shop yesterday but then came home. Started to feel better during the afternoon and ended up finally finishing the 2nd front of the matinee jacket and the whole first sleeve. It's B's 12 birthday today. He is becoming so grown up. We are doing bean bags for birthdays this year as they have all grown out of the chairs we bought them years ago. And cuddly blankets for easter for when they use their bean bags. A bit different, eh?
How are you feeling, makerealbany? I'm thinking of you.

I'm ok fell asleep in my chair last night as I was thinking of posting and then going to bed lol. Keep putting off going for my shot but hopefully tomorrow. I have 6 points to go on my shawl. Try to finish it tonight. My gosh B is 12. Where has time gone.
Good idea about the bean bags. M uses her to store all her fancy cushions on when she's not on it ha ha.
I have two busy weekends ahead so I cant go to Rotorua for 3 weeks. Cant be helped I'm afraid.
Glad you felt better yesterday afternoon. Hope that keeps up today.

I think I'm over the hump. LOL. I went to Knitworld on the way to work yesterday and bought navy wool for a wee double breasted coat and some teal baby merino. Had to go to a different brand for that as very limited suppliies of Shepherd or Patons. What's that about? Baby wool shouldn't be seasonal, for goodness sake. It looks like their new season yarns are very thick like 14ply or have a mohair blend. Not going back to knitting that. Still it was pleasant browsing. I've just a Sublime pattern book on TM to give me some new ideas for winter.

I finished my shawl. Wove the ends in and saw a couple of mistakes duh. That's what happens when you are tired ha ha. No one will notice when I'm wearing it. Have to block it tomorrow. I want to do another one but I need decent circulars. These ones are old and bent grrrr. Ill have a look tomorrow.
Glad you are over the hump ha ha, Yes indeed Baby wool cant be seasonal.

We are on a knitting roll Ha ha, I started another shawl tonight, In double knit. I only have 200 Grm ball of the Red Utiku Pure Wool but I have other colours of the same wool. Might do a two tone one. Ill see how I go. Got to pick up J 13 tomorrow night. He is up for the weekend. Finally got my Flu Vac after putting it off for all sorts of reasons lol. Got myself a Pandora Bracelet with my Christmas money and so I still have 200 in Westfield vouchers to buy charms. Daughter is happy because she has something to buy for me ha ha. I wanted the gold bracelet but at 2000 I gave it a miss ha ha. I'm going to bed early for a change.
