Off to the Air Force Museum with the Women's Group this morning. I had a good look round a month or so ago with the boys so might just park up with a good strong cup of coffee and supervise. LOL. I. finally got his hotlaps in the V8 Supercar done. His birthday was certainly drawn out this year. LOL. He had such a good time though and the video they gave him is great. The screen is split to show him driving plus the track he's driving plus a map to show whereabouts the car is on the track plus the speedometer reading and G force plus his fastest lap. Pretty cool really.
Back and fronts done on the coat and half way up the first sleeve. B10 and L8 are staying over and their Mum and Dad are working late so it will an early start at work tomorrow after getting them across town for school on time.

We are as busy aren't we lol. I will be pleased. After a day of running around yesterday I finally got my flu vaccine and feel lousy ha ha. Received my first parcel from Lux lotto . Needle Food silk and wool. Yum. Going well with the hats but didn't knit last night my arm was swollen and sore. I'm spring leaning this morning and then I have a lot of legal stuff to do. Will relax this afternoon with my knitting. Yup works are finally progressing in that they are moving mountains of soil.

makerealbany - 2016-04-06 07:37:00
7253

Glad to hear they have started. WE have had no roadworks outside work for a couple of weeks now after all those months HOWEVER the orange vest brigade were back again yesterday measuring up and consulting the ominous clipboards. I dread to think what they have in store for us next. For the first time in ages the bus for the group was able to pick them up from the end of our drive yesterday. The works outside the shop were all cleared by Monday afternoon and yet the cones are still there preventing customers access to the shop! I'm half way up 2nd sleeve. Yahoo. Have doctor's appointment this morning to pick up meds and get 'flu shot. Not looking forward to it as you are not the only one with worse side effects this year. Sigh.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-07 06:23:00
7254

Had 'flu shot and not much of a reaction thank goodness. They told me there are 2 'flu vaccines available. One is delivered one week and one the next. One has more severe side effects apparently but they don't know why.I also checked out the red patch on my face that they dry iced years ago. 'Apparently' that treatment should have continued but couldn't tell me why they hadn't followed up on it. (It's only been 7 plus years!) They zapped again yesterday and now I have a bigger nasty looking patch. Sigh. And pain. Doing the neckband on the coat and I have to find buttons. LOL. Seems to be a regular weekend chore. Beanies all done?

grizzly4 - 2016-04-08 07:09:00
7255

Well I thought I had finished with Beanies but no now my older grandsons all want another one. " So warm Nan now that it's getting cooler" Lol. I received another 4 parcels today with fabulous wool. It's a hell of a mess outside. We have to wear gumboots up the drive to our cars. Kids seem to get the mud everywhere sigh. First Retainer wall is progressing. When the big truck dropped the first lot of poles on the driveway even the neighbours house shook. They are nearly as long as my cottage and really huge. They aero ing early tomorrow and I have to be at the rugby field by8 with J5 so I had better get to bed.

makerealbany - 2016-04-09 00:20:00
7256

Here's hoping they just keep going until it's finished, now that they are there. Your beanies are SOOOO popular. LOL. I have an easier day ahead today with no family here just tea at son's place tonight for DIL's birthday. Once I decide on my next project I may take it with me to start. I'm making her birthday cake this morning all going well.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-09 06:57:00
7257

I was up at 6 to get organized for Soccer. Fed all the animals and raced off. By the time we got back at 11 I was so tired. Slept until teatime lol. Wall is looking good. I have received lovely wool for my Win. Don't know how I'll cope with it all ha ha. I keep looking at it all trying to work out what I will make when I finish these Beanies. I seem to knit something which becomes so popular and by the time I've finished them all I'm sick of them. I'll send you a pic of my win once it's all here. I could do with a piece of cake right now like lol. No baking done for awhile.

LOL she loved her cake! Nice quite evening and almost finished the back of a wee jersey I started while there. The bikes are on the trailer in the drive ready for S and DIL and boys to arrive so we can go out to the river. Lovely weather here but someone is doing a burn off and it's very smokey. Better be out by the time I do the laundry when I get home.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-10 08:49:00
7259

An excellent morning out on the bikes yesterday, once home again washed the bikes and trailer and my car and pruned a tree that starting to affect being able to get up the drive. Measured windows to put curtains on a couple of high up windows that doesn't normally have them but I think it really affects the temperature in that room, put buttons on the wee coat and I'm part way up the front of a wee jersey with a teddy bear on the front. Slept well but still tired this morning, LOL.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-11 06:17:00
7260

So you should be tired with all that running around. Lol. The cake is fabulous. You clever girl. M8 thinks it's great too. There's mud everywhere here. Sigh. Have to park our cars on the road too much debris in driveway. I have to wear gumboots everywhere ha ha. I'm knitting a grey Beanie tonight. Must say I prefer the bright colours. Received more wool today. I'm so spoilt. One of our dogs has an ear infection. Poor girl. She stays in A's at night. Sil took her to the vet this morning. He had to carry her up the driveway. She wasn't keen to walk up. Paku and Teddy are asleep on my back verandah. I have a kennel and a big cage out there and it's enclosed so safe rom weather etc. I just make sure both gates are locked so they can't get out. They take turns sleeping in one place or the other but Teddy drags his cuddly blanket wherever he sleeps . It's very funny he is 10 and Paku is nearly 14 so he tries to get that blanket at times but no luck ha ha. They don't want to come inside yet but when winter sets in they will.

makerealbany - 2016-04-11 21:29:00
7261

I miss having a dog till I remember what it was like drying them off and keeping their feet clean in winter before letting them inside. LOL. My girls take one look at the rain and won't budge outside now. They are usually in the same spot when I get home. LOL. Flurry gave me an awful fright yesterday when I got home. She was asleep on the arm of my chair but not the way she normally sleeps and she didn't move when I opened the gate, drove my car up or opened the front door. I was really worried by then so was probably a bit louder than I intended when I called her name. Poor thing shot off the chair and I'm not sure who had the biggest fright in the end, her or me. LOL. She must have been in a really deep sleep which isn't like her at all - scared me big time.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-12 07:04:00
7262

Only half way through the week and I'm exhausted. Last day for the Women's Group for this term and I have a 2 hour meeting at the local high school this afternoon so not much room in between to get the rest of my work done. I have brought bookwork home to work on again before I leave for work. No down time during the week at all these days. I see you are in for more rain again, I can imagine how that will affect the work being done on your walls!

grizzly4 - 2016-04-13 06:42:00
7263

Oh it's just fine and dandy here girl. Mud for miles sigh. My gumboots are filthy by the time I get to my car. Then I have a big plastic bag to put them in and I have to try and get them off on the road ,keeping my balance and getting my shoes on. It's a right circus. All the neighbours will be having a giggle lol. My silly Sil put A's car in the yard and now it's stuck behind big pallets and she needs to go to work so she's as mad as hell with him. Sometimes his ears are painted on lol. To be fair it's the anniversary of his Dad's passing so that makes it worse. Plus his Mum rang and made him feel guilty because he wasn't with her. Grrrrr why are some mothers so darn needy? My mum was so I dependant . She never made me feel guilty about things like that. I'm the same. My kids always contact me on those sad anniversaries but they know I'm ok. It's hard enough for him with all this work here and his concern about a job without added stress. Rant over. Lol I lost a day somewhere. Thought it was Tuesday today.

makerealbany - 2016-04-13 09:07:00
7264

Wow! That all sounds very stressful. I'm trying to put at least an hour into working on the spreadsheets at work each day but hasn't happened this week at all. Grrr. Changing systems is fine if everything else is going ok BUT......
I just have the neckband to do on the wee jersey I'm working on. Might do matching beanie and bootees.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-14 06:55:00
7265

No knitting for me. Hectic two days off to bed. Catch up sleep needed. Was awake half the night sorting out a family problem.

makerealbany - 2016-04-14 21:46:00
7266

Oh no! That doesn't sound good. I'm going to bed thinking about work and I wake up plotting and planning again. Sigh.Thank goodness it's Friday. I did the neckband and sewed the jersey up last night. You guessed it - buttons this weekend. LOL. I. picks his new quad bike up tomorrow, I love the way he says he will work more Saturdays to help pay for it, then takes one off to pick it up! I don't get how men think, sometimes. Actually most of the time! LOL. Maybe they don't think, that's the problem. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-15 06:46:00
7267

Slept in this morning. LOL. My biggest job today, I think, will be making lasagne for tea. And finishing a beanie to match the jersey. Son S is having problems with his car so not going out on bikes today. If weather is nice tomorrow I. and I will go out to try his new bike on our own.
I hope everything has been sorted for your family, makerealbany. It's a nightmare for Japan again with 2 big 'quakes in 24 hours. We are so used to images of the major cities over there coping ok but of course it had to hit the most vulnerable and at night which is awful.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-16 10:14:00
7268

I haven't even watched TV or heard the news. That's awful I'm going to check it out after this. Yes problems for this week sorted lol. No knitting so I'm going to relax for an hour and knit. Yes Men hardly ever think lol. Well with one exception in my family they certainly do not. Talk about it. Ha ha. The tenants below us are having a party. They let us all know with a note in the letterbox but also promised to turn the music off at 11. I can only I hear them if I go outside. Not much bother at all. Unlike the other side grrrr. I seem to have so much to do but I'm lagging behind the ball at the moment sigh. Ah well tomorrow will be a good day. Think positive mantra lol. Today wasn't that bad really but I do not like driving in the city. It's like playing Russian Roulette. Let's hope the PC police don't see that statement or they'll blow it out of the water. Things are getting silly.

You've been reading some other sites to, have you? LOL. It puts me off looking at anything else but ours.Lots to do today but not sure how much will get done, especially if we take the bikes out before the weather changes. Beanie and one bootee done. I realise that tomorrow morning will be my last morning in the shop we have now as next week is a holiday and we move the following weekend. That's a bit sad. It's going to be a rush next 2 weeks as I have to be at work by 8am each morning for holiday programme. Tomorrow I will be at work before I go to the shop. Makes me tired thinking of it. Our other programmes finished up last week for the term and they all said "Have a nice holiday!" They should know better really.

Yes I have ha ha. It poured here on and off. I went to pick up 4 large reels of synthetic yarn made in Italy. It is used for hats, mittens, blankets, etc. Very fine. It was going to be turfed out. One of the Facebook Groups organised it all for us. No cost but some people are getting it posted. They are huge reels over 1kg I had to use 4 of them together to wind balls . I did about 8 balls today. This morning I lazed around in my pyjamas lol. I also did some knitting. Was meant to sew more patches on M8's Karate gear but forgot so will need to do it in the morning. My son gave me more guavas so I cooked those and put them in the freezer. I bought myself a piece of Scnapper and chips for tea on my way home at 4.30. Had an early tea. Very nice fish. My eyelids are closing so Im off to bed.

7273

Knitting in 8ply makes a difference! Completed the back and half a front on another wee double-breasted coat last night. I was caught up in the final of 'Wanted' on tv and just kept knitting. LOL. Didn't see the ending coming on the programme the way it did either, darn it.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-19 06:27:00
7274

That's a really cute outfit. I meant to post last night but K6 arrived for a few days and I forgot lol. I managed to get my sewing finished , cooked some meals to freeze, baked 3 doz cupcakes and cleaned my car. That was so filthy. I have to walk up the long driveway in jandals or gumboots depending on the weather. I leave a towel in the car and a Plastic bag as well as shoes. The trucks driving up and down splash mud all over my poor old car.
I wound some more yarn and only knitted for an hour. I have shopping to do but the kids all arrived for pancakes this morning and I'm behind in my daily tasks. Ha ha. They are all Pokomon mad. Cards everywhere. Those earthquakes all over the place are really scary. I think our planet is protesting about something. Sigh.

makerealbany - 2016-04-19 08:58:00
7275

Yep, I'm concerned for the planet as well. I was so depressed by the time I got home from work last night between staff not turning up for work, other staff not doing their job properly, trying to sort out the best way of handling one difficult child (who has been a dream for last 2 years!) and still trying to get funding applications done and those darn spreadsheets. I just wanted to cry. I think I'd just hit a brick wall after a long day. Feeling a bit better this morning after a good sleep but it's all still there waiting for me to deal with.
I'm half way up the second front of the coat. I forced myself to work on it last night to stop me thinking about everything else.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-20 06:35:00
7276

Yes some days are just awful. I spent the day cooking Soups to put in the freezer. It takes so long preparing ingredients that I feel tempted to forget it all and buy tins lol. K6 was picked up by his Mum. They are going away for 4 days by themselves. My daughter is so looking forward to it. A and S and the kids are off this weekend for a break as well. Meanwhile the trucks are up and down the driveway and so are the heavy machines. Back wall looks great. No knitting at all tonight sigh. Tomorrow night I have charity deliveries to do so I hope it's not cold. Must go and buy some groceries tomorrow. I'm running out of things. I never do so I'm slipping ha ha. Must be old age.
Maybe you need a cry. I always felt better after I got rid of some emotion. Mind you when I was younger I'd go running. Now I just clean ha ha. I often find throwing things out and getting rid of dust is very healing. Having said that battling dust here is a continuous task at the moment.

makerealbany - 2016-04-20 22:34:00
7277

Yep, definitely do the cleaning thing! LOL. A better day yesterday and some lovely txts from I during the day helped big time. He doesn't usually do that so I must have been bad. Sigh. I believe the cry thing, too, always worked for me but these days the brain won't stop to let it happen. Landlord finally put the shelf in over the new wall oven so our microwave can go up. Really pleased with it and so much more bench space. I even found a wee ornate wooden shelf I used years ago and put it up for the tea and coffee canisters. Yahoo. I have a supervision client this morning so not going into work so early this morning. Feels like luxury. LOL. Mind you I might get some planning done while I'm in a quiet space. Make the most of the spare minutes and the peace, I reckon.
On second sleeve of coat. On a roll.

Wow glad today is over. I took Teddy to the vet. He's the Moodle. He had to get his yearly check up and vaccination . $120 later than 40 for the Flea and Tick pills. Thank heavens my son pays for it all ha ha. He has to get groomed on Saturday. Another 60. I took M with me to shop for groceries after we dropped Teddy home. $ 200 later we arrive home. I backed the car down the trashed remnants of the driveway . There was no way I was walking up and down with all that shopping. Just got it unloaded and a big truck arrived so I had to dash out and drive it onto the street. Then tonight I had to pick up a TV and cabinet from Wairau Park. 23 minutes in normal driving 45 tonight . Drive into the city another 30 mins. Deliver it and drive home. I hate looking for addresses in the dark if you have never been there before. The city address was fine as I've been before . Got home and my youngest sister rang. I talked to her for two hours. Haven't heard from her for a month so it was great to listen to her voice . I have now realised I haven't had any tea duh. Too tired to care ha ha. I'm crawling into bed. That was so nice to get texts from I . Tell him I said he was a gem today.

makerealbany - 2016-04-21 23:59:00
7279

LOL. He is a gem, I agree.........except he keeps buying expensive things. We will never be well off. I dread what he will do once he can access his kiwisaver in a few years. Sigh. I am looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow and a nice long weekend.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-22 06:26:00
7280

By the time I left work yesterday I had a sore throat....and no, it wasn't from talking too much, LOL..... and this morning have another head cold. Sigh, lovely way to spend a long weekend. Not seeing family either this weekend, they are all busy doing other stuff and the weather will decide what we do, I guess. I'm all for a rest. LOL. Coat is finished and you guessed it... buttons to sort now.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-23 09:43:00

Took the dogs for a groom at 8.30, came home hosed the mess in front of my door, etc and then had to drive back and pick up the dogs. The family went off to spend the weekend with friends in Turangi. Got there and no one was at the holiday home. Rang them and the husband had told his wife they were going to the house in Napier. Poor A and the kids . So they drove for another couple of hours. I would have gone to a motel instead . Men can't get anything right. It will be the last time she lets him organized anything lol. I went to visit my youngest son this afternoon. He's awake all night and naps during the day. Darn medication. Sigh. Had a nice visit though. I've been washing all the dogs bedding and now I'm off to bed. No knitting again. Hope your head cold settles. Just rest up this weekend.

THis cold is worse than the one I had about a month ago. Worried it might go to my chest this time. Sigh. Has a good day yesterday, though...painted the shelving above new wall oven where the microwave sits now, bought a lovely bread container with roller door for the bench where the microwave was. Nice easy project but makes a big difference in the kitchen. LOL. Forgot to get buttons though. Started a fairisle cardy last night in silver grey with black, red and white contrast. I really like how thats turning out. Back almost finished, only doing a 12 month size. Lovely down here today so going to the afternoon speedway at Moore Park. Just bikes so should be good fun. No not quads so we're not the one's racing. LOL. I might be the one sitting in the car with the best view and knitting. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-24 10:52:00
7283

Omg painting with a cold. Naughty girl. That will not help your cold. I sent you an email with photos to show why I didn't go to the Dawn Parade. I was too wary in case I fell. Kids will be home tomorrow . Lovely quiet time I've had ha ha. I'm not keen on the English Rowan Wool. Finished that Beanie and it had 5 knots in the ball grrrr. I'm doing the sleeves of E'4s Cardi. Back to that now lol. I started to knit then had 2 lots of visitors. Which in itself is unusual considering how the access is. Guys will be here early in the morning. More dust and noise ha ha. Bet you got heaps of your knitting done.

makerealbany - 2016-04-25 21:41:00
7284

Nope, not much at all. LOL. Racing was too good on Sunday and yesterday went out on the quads. It was so lovely by the river. Amazing how it changes every time we are there. No way I get bored doing the same thing because the river sets up new stuff every time. Last night I nearly finished the first front.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-26 06:14:00
7285

OMG, I. and I sound dreadful, we are both so full of the cold. Really want to stay home but no rest for the wicked. I finished the 2nd front last night.

7286

You poor things. C5 came up to his Dad sick and now K 6 has it grrrr. My grandchildren have done something to my Ipad and now I need to get it fixed grrrr. No more using Nanas Ipad. I left my pattern for the cardi at my sons. got it back today so have to finish those sleeves. Baked for the hungry horde today. nothing empties the tins faster than the holidays. no work by Contractors yesterday but today dust and dirt flying lol. Starting to get an idea of what it will look like when its completed.

makerealbany - 2016-04-27 20:39:00
7287

Men! Grrr! Can't work today 'cos he's too sick to drive a truck. Really?! Like I don't feel as bad? But no choice for me, things to get done today as I have tomorrow off to pack up the shop! And, boy, I'm not looking forward to that. Grrr. A truck is picking it all up on Saturday morning and we will put it all back together again at the new shop. I have to make sure I get Sunday off or I'll never get through next week. LOL. I have all 3 grandsons on holiday programme this week. It's the first time they've been together in ages with S's controlling partner dictating where she goes during weekends. Grr.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-28 07:07:00
7288

Couldn't get the internet to work yesterday morning. Grrr. So no message before going to the shop to pack it all up. Most of the stock has been moved to the new shop and I. took the last of the wall fittings and shelving down ready for the truck this morning. We both were feeling dreadful so only worked 3 hours. But achieved heaps. Here's hoping today goes ok. A couple of the committee do things their way only and are extremely difficult to work with on these sorts of occasions. They are already deciding where their stock is going to be displayed rather than working on the bigger picture of the whole shop. Sigh. Fingers crossed.

grizzly4 - 2016-04-30 08:39:00
7289

Hope it went well in the shop. Yes instant gratification for some people sigh. I have a sore throat . Yesterday I woke up feeling lousy. Last night I had Shingles start ugh and today I slept all afternoon. Feeling better head wise but hoping I'll improve more to go with K 6 for his Birthday visit to Motat. The boys would have enjoyed catching up with each other. Two Retainer Walls finished here. Two more to go. Council Inspectors want more soil delivered for back of walls. All at an extra cost to the kids Grrr. Why the hell wasn't it in the original price specifications. No wonder we are all stressed. I'll knit to calm down ha ha

makerealbany - 2016-04-30 19:29:00
7290

That's awful that you are going to suffer more health wise because of all of this. I am so sorry. Yesterday was hard and really sore today, muscle wise plus I tripped a couple of times so that has left sore bits as well. Today I am home to do the end of month book work so there will some resemblance to normalcy tomorrow when I open the new shop for the first time. I have finished the fairisle cardy as well so have that and the wee coat to go in. Yahoo.

grizzly4 - 2016-05-01 11:19:00
7291

Had to rush around today. We went to Motat for K7s Birthday. I took him up this morning to see his other grandparents. They have not seen him for three years so it was very emotional. He sat by me for 30 mins and then he moved lol. It was a good visit. Everyone cried. My daughter decided to do this because K' s granddad is very frail and he turned up on her doorstep with his carer yesterday to take K a Birthday Present. T was so surprized to see him. So she told him I would take K up on his Birthday to se his grandmother. When we got there his Aunty and two little cousins were waiting for him as well. He told them as he hugged them goodbye that he would come again but Nana had to come until he got used to them lol.
You be careful girl when you start tripping. I find that I usually start that nonsense when I am unwell. Good knitting for the new shop. I never picked up my needles today. Ah well always tomorrow. ha ha

makerealbany - 2016-05-01 23:56:00
7292

Unwell and really tired..The first time I tripped I pulled the muscle in the back of my leg, 2nd time I feel like I've broken my big toe. No swelling and no bruising so probably not. LOL. Not sure I'm looking forward to going to shop or not this morning. Still so much to do and apparently one committee member went yesterday on her own and has changed stuff around after all the work that went into it on Saturday. The rest of us are not happy at all. There's also an automated gate to master to be able to park my car as well. And we all know what I'm like with technology. LOL.

grizzly4 - 2016-05-02 06:29:00
7293

Some people are so inconsiderate aren't they? That's so unfair after all the work on Saturday. I don't know how you keep going. The contractors keep ripping my phone line out. Grrrr They are now drilling holes 7 metres deep and concreting in wire cages. Any one would think we were in Christchurch sigh. All that extra cost is really depressing the kids. Every time the Council Technician arrives they want something else extra grrrr. It's really over the top.
You take care of yourself girl. If you can't do something don't. Everyone flags a willing horse. Don't be that horse.

That's a great message! I had to complete one of those random audits at work for Internal Affairs for some funding we received over 2 years ago, earlier this year. It meant loads of work getting the info that far back but off it went with only a couple of further questions to answer. Ages later I have just received an email that they have picked up a discrepancy! I thought it had all been signed off, darn it. I know how it's happened because of the huge changeover in roles and staff back then but now I have to fix the records and amend subsequent stuff as well... as if I have time for that! I am also having huge problems trying to get insurance at the new shop because the landlord and his insurance company don't know the percentage the building meets the current strengthening standards. The building is still insured but we can't get contents or liability insurance because of it at this point and now all the people I have been dealing with are away sick! Good grief!

Had a good Supervision session yesterday. My work was likened to a flowing river and at present I need to be standing strong in the current against the debri etc coming towards me rather than trying to forge ahead against forces too strong to make any progress. It actually made lots of sense and I felt some relief in being able to allow myself to stand still for awhile and just do what needs to be done in that moment. Pretty cool, eh? This morning I have the Women's Group out to a new cafe in Rangiora we haven't been to before. Should be quite cruisey once we are on the bus, but I think I'm going to have to change it for a bigger one because of the numbers booked. Will go in early this morning to sort it. A 2 hour meeting at the local college this afternoon means I will only have a couple of hours in the office so I won't be catching up on much else today.
I'm working on a 4ply fairisle cardy at present in white merino and the patterns is done in variegated browns and greys. I'm half way up the 2nd front and then I have a 4ply aran order to do.

Good Supervision session. You surely are standing in the current alright. Great analagy. I feel like I'm in that current at the moment. Internet and phones on and off Grrr. More 7 metre poles went in today. Concrete trucks in and out all week. There is an 8 hour wait for a concrete truck in Auckland. So the boys spend a lot of time sitting and waiting. I have not even looked at my knitting sigh. I'm just not in the mood. Going out with a friend tomorrow to a High Tea at Stamford Hotel. Oh la de da ha ha. Looking forward to it but picture me all dressed up carrying my high heels and wearing my gumboots up the drive tomorrow.

Very visual! That's a great picture in my head now. LOL. Maybe if they are still working too far into winter those men can carry you up to your car while they are waiting. Such a waste of time isn't it? Shame you can't give them some other jobs to do. LOL.
It was a good day yesterday, a lovely morning out with 15 great ladies and an excellent meeting in the afternoon. And I'm part way up first sleeve on cardy. I hope you have a great time with your friend today.

I'd be having withdrawal symptoms with not knitting for that long LOL. I'm on to the 2nd sleeve now. Went to work really early yesterday and did 3 hours uninterrupted work on the new spreadsheets plus started one of the major funding applications. Knackered after a 9 hour day though and the traffic was bad so took ages to get home. Thank goodness for knitting.

Phew, that was a big week! But I have stood strong in the current and met the goals I set for the week. LOL. Funny thing is while I did that I could see other stuff was still forging ahead toward success. Stuff that I'm involved in but that I was choosing not to make a priority for this week. That was good stuff my Supervisor said. I have passed it on to another colleague who also takes the worlds problems on her shoulders. However it's the weekend now and I have a list of a different sort for things to get done here since I have spent so much time at work this week. Weather should be good so here's hoping. We have a builder coming Tuesday to repair the ceiling in our bedroom. The lathe and plaster split along one joist in the 2010 earthquake and it was repaired 2012 by using hundreds of nails and plastering and painting over it. It's made it so strong at that point that it has cracked along the other joist now because the house jolts every time a bus or truck goes past on the main road out front. I refuse to sleep in the spare bed so looks like we'll move ours into the lounge and sleep there for a couple of nights till it's finished. Further to the loo in the middle of the night though. LOL. And no street lights to help now that we've covered those top windows. Could be interesting. LOL.
